On Base Change of Local Stability in Positive Characteristics

We prove that a pointed one dimensional family of varieties $\mathcal{X}\to {b\in B}$ in positive characteristics is locally stable iff the log pair $(\mathcal{X'}, \mathcal{X}'_{b'})$ arising from its base change to the perfectoid base $b'\in B_{perf}$ is log canonical.

Extensions of two Chow stability criteria to positive characteristics

We extend two results on Chow (semi-)stability to positive characteristics. One is on the stability of non-singular projective hypersurfaces of degree greater than 2, and the other is the criterion by Y. Lee in terms of log canonical thresholds. Some properties of log-canonicity in positive characteristics are discussed with a couple of examples, in connection with the proof of the latter one. It is also proven in appendix that the sum of Chow (semi-)stable cycles are again Chow (semi-)stable.

Foliations with positive slopes and birational stability of orbifold cotangent bundles

In this article we consider log canonical pairs which are log-smooth. If the corresponding canonical bundle is pseudo-effective, then we show that any quotient of the orbifold cotangent bundle of the pair has a pseudo-effective determinant. One of the new ingredients in the proof is a generalization of the Bogomolov-McQuillan algebraicity criterion in the context of holomorphic foliations whose minimal slope with respect to a movable class is positive.

Conic stability of polynomials and positive maps

Given a proper cone $K \subseteq \mathbb{R}^n$, a multivariate polynomial $f \in \mathbb{C}[z] = \mathbb{C}[z_1, \ldots, z_n]$ is called $K$-stable if it does not have a root whose vector of the imaginary parts is contained in the interior of $K$. If $K$ is the non-negative orthant, then $K$-stability specializes to the usual notion of stability of polynomials. Stability of the tangent bundle of G/P in positive characteristics

Let $G$ be an almost simple simply-connected affine algebraic group over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic $p > 0$. If $G$ has type $B_n$, $C_n$ or $F_4$, we assume that $p > 2$, and if $G$ has type $G_2$, we assume that $p > 3$. Let $P \subset G$ be a parabolic subgroup. Uniform K-stability and asymptotics of energy functionals in Kähler geometry

Consider a polarized complex manifold (X,L) and a ray of positive metrics on L defined by a positive metric on a test configuration for (X,L). For most of the common functionals in Kähler geometry, we prove that the slope at infinity along the ray is given by evaluating the non-Archimedean version of the functional (as defined in our earlier paper) at the non-Archimedean metric on L defined by the test configuration. Using this asymptotic result, we show that coercivity of the Mabuchi functional implies uniform K-stability.
