We present a new calculation of the semileptonic tree-level and flavor-changing neutral current form factors describing $B$-meson transitions to tensor mesons $T=D_2^*,K_2^*,a_2,f_2$ ($J^{P}=2^{+}$). We employ the QCD Light-Cone Sum Rules approach with $B$-meson distribution amplitudes. We go beyond the leading-twist accuracy and provide analytically, for the first time, higher-twist corrections for the two-particle contributions up to twist four terms. We observe that the impact of higher twist terms to the sum rules is noticeable. We study the phenomenological implications of our results on the radiative ${B} \to K_2^{*}γ$ and semileptonic ${B} \to D_2^* \ell {\bar ν}_\ell$, ${B} \to K_2^{*}\ell^+\ell^-$ decays.
We calculate the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments associated with the radiative $Ω_{Q}^{*}\rightarrowΩ_{Q}γ$ and $Ξ_{Q}^{*}\rightarrowΞ^{\prime}_{Q}γ$ transitions with $Q=b$ or $c$ in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules. It is found that the corresponding quadrupole moments are negligibly small while the magnetic dipole moments are considerably large. A comparison of the results on the considered multipole moments as well as corresponding decay widths with the predictions of the vector dominance model is performed.
Proton decay is a baryon number violating process, and hence is forbidden in the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. Baryon number violation is expected to be an important criteria to explain the matter-anti-matter asymmetry of the universe. Any detection of the proton decay will be a direct evidence of physics beyond the SM. In SMEFT, proton decay is possible via baryon number violating dimension-6 operators. In this work, we pay attention to the decay channel $p\rightarrow e^+ γ$ which is expected to be an experimentally cleaner channel due to less nuclear absorption. The gauge invarian…
The semileptonic $Ω_c^0 \rightarrow Ω^- l ν$ and non-leptonic $Ω_c^0 \to Ω^- π^+$, $Ω_c^0 \to Ω^- ρ^+$ decays of charmed $Ω_c$ baryon are studied within the light cone sum rules. The form factors responsible for $Ω_c \to Ω$ transitions are calculated using the distribution amplitudes of $Ω_c$ baryon. With the obtained form factors, the branching ratios of $Ω_c^0 \to Ω^- l^+ ν_l$, $Ω_c^0 \rightarrow Ω^- π^+$, and $Ω_c^0 \rightarrow Ω^- ρ^+$ decays are estimated. The results are compared with Belle data as well as the findings of the other approaches.
We have applied isovector and isoscalar tensor current to evaluate the tensor form factors of the $ N(1535) \rightarrow N $ transition with the help of the light-cone QCD sum rule method. In numerical computations, have used the most general forms of the interpolating current for the nucleon and the tensor current together with two different sets of the input parameters in the DAs of the $N(1535)$ state. We have obtained that the values of $N(1535) \rightarrow N$ transition tensor form factors very sensitive to the input parameters of the distribution amplitudes of the $N(1535)$ state. We have…
We present the first direct calculation on the gravitational form factors (GFFs) of the $N \rightarrow Δ$ transition using an analytic method, the QCD light-cone sum rules. The matrix element of the quark part of the energy momentum tensor current sandwiched between the nucleon and $Δ$ states are parameterized in terms of five independent conserved and four independent non-conserved GFFs, for calculation of which we use the distribution amplitudes (DAs) of the on-shell nucleon expanded in terms of functions with different twists. We present the results for two sets of light-cone input paramete…
We present a systematic light-cone QCD sum rule study of the exclusive rare radiative decay $Λ_b\rightarrowΛγ$ and rare semileptonic decay $Λ_b\rightarrowΛl^+l^-$ within the framework of the standard model. Although some LCSR studies on these rare processes can be found in different literatures, it is necessary to reanalyze them systematically for the reason that either the baryonic distribution amplitudes are improved or different interpolating currents for the $Λ_b$ baryon may lead to quite different results. In addition, the rare process $Λ_b\rightarrowΛγ$ has not yet been analyzed by LCSR …
We present an improved light-cone sum rule analysis of the decay form factors of $D$ and $D_s$ into $η$ and $η^{\prime}$ and argue that these decays offer a very promissing possibility to determine the leading Fock-state gluonic contribution of the $η'$ at future experimental facilities as FAIR or Super-KEKB. We also give the corresponding branching ratios for B decays.
Within the QCD light-cone sum rule (LCSR) approach, we investigate the transition form factors of $D\rightarrow a_0(980)$ up to the twist-3 light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of the scalar meson $a_0(980)$ in the two-quark picture. Using these form factors, we calculate the differential decay widths and branching ratios of the $D\rightarrow a_0(980) e^+ ν_e$ semileptonic decays. We obtain ${\mathcal B}(D^0\rightarrow a_0^- (980) e^+ ν_e)=(4.08^{+1.37}_{-1.22})\times 10^{-4}$ and ${\mathcal B}(D^+\rightarrow a_0^0 (980) e^+ ν_e)=(5.40^{+1.78}_{-1.59})\times 10^{-4}$. The results are sen…
We systematically study the semileptonic decay process of $ D\rightarrow S,A l\bar{ν_{l}}(l=e,μ)$ by light-cone sum rules (LCSR) with chiral currents, calculate the form factors containing only the contribution of the leading twist light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs). For scalar mesons $a_{0}(980)$ and $a_{0}(1450)$, we take them as $q\bar{q}$ states. For axial-vector meson, we study $a_{1}(1260)( 1^{3}p^{1})$ and $b_{1}(1235)( 1^{1}p^{1})$. Based on the results of these form factors, we further present the branching ratios of these semileptonic decay processes. The numerical results fo…
At present, there are many experimental and theoretical results for $J/ψ\rightarrowη_{c}+γ$ process, while the results are inconsistent based on different methods and considerations. In this paper, the light cone sum rules method is used in studying the radiative decay $J/ψ\rightarrowη_{c}+γ$. We give the transition form factor of this process based on the leading twist distribution amplitude of $η_{c}$ meson, with this form factor further obtain the decay width. Our result is consistent with those of other sum rules. A comparison of our result with others' about the decay width is also presen…
We construct the quark-antiquark chiral odd distribution amplitudes including twist-four mass contributions for tensor mesons. We also give quark-antiquark-gluon distribution amplitudes, where we calculate the input parameters with QCD sum rules. With the help of equations of motion we determine the twist-three and twist-four distribution amplitudes including SU(3) breaking terms. We use QCD light-come sum rules to derive the form factors for the decay B $\rightarrow f_2(1270)$ with vector, axial-vector and tensor currents. We also give the $q^2$ dependence of the form factors.
We calculate the leading-twist O(alphas^2 beta0) corrections to the B to pi transition form factor f+(0) in light-cone sum rules. We find that, as expected, there is a cancellation between the O(alphas^2 beta0) corrections to fB f+(0) and the large corresponding corrections to fB, calculated in QCD sum rules. This suggests the insensitivity of the form factors calculated in the light-cone sum rules approach to this source of radiative corrections. We further obtain an improved determination of the CKM matrix element |V(ub)|, using latest results from BaBar and Belle for f+(0)|V(ub)|.
We investigate the rare decays $B_c \rightarrow D_s(1968) \ell \bar{\ell}$ and $B_c\rightarrow D_s^*(2317) \ell \bar{\ell}$ in the framework of the light-cone quark model (LCQM). The transition form factors are calculated in the space-like region and then analytically continued to the time-like region via exponential parametrization. The branching ratios and longitudinal lepton polarization asymmetries (LPAs) for the two decays are given and compared with each other. The results are helpful to investigating the structure of $B_c$ meson and to testing the unitarity of CKM quark mixing matrix. A…
The form factors of $γ^* N \rightarrow Δ(1600)$ transition is calculated within the light-cone sum rules assuming that $Δ^+(1600)$ is the first radial excitation of $Δ(1232)$. The $Q^2$ dependence of the magnetic dipole $\tilde{G}_M(Q^2)$, electric quadrupole $\tilde{G}_E(Q^2)$, and Coulomb quadrupole $\tilde{G}_c(Q^2)$ form factors are investigated. Moreover, the $Q^2$ dependence of the ratios $R_{EM} = -\frac{\tilde{G}_E(Q^2)}{\tilde{G}_M{Q^2}}$ and $R_{SM} = - \frac{1}{4 m_{Δ(1600)}^2} \sqrt{4 m_{Δ(1600)}^2 Q^2 + (m_{Δ(1600)}^2 - Q^2 - m_N^2)^2} \frac{\tilde{G}_c(Q^2)}{\tilde{G}_M(Q^2)}$ ar…
We present the study of radiative tau decay ($τ^- \rightarrow π^- ν_τγ$), computing the structure dependent contribution using Light Cone Sum Rules. This decay includes the same form factors as the radiative pion decay with the crucial difference that the momentum transfer squared, $t$, between the pion-photon system is positive, which makes these form factors timelike and also as $t$ can now take values upto $m_τ^2$ , it can produce real hadronic resonances. The analytical form for these form factors has been calculated using light cone sum rules method and the invariant mass-spectrum in the …
We calculate the vector and axial-vector form factors of $B_{u,d,s}$ decays into P-wave axial-vector mesons in the light-cone sum rule approach. For the sum rule results, we have included corrections of order $m_A/m_b$, where $m_A$ is the mass of the axial-vector meson $A$. The results are relevant to the light-cone distribution amplitudes of the axial-vector mesons. It is important to note that, owing to the $G$-parity, the chiral-even two-parton light-cone distribution amplitudes of the $^3P_1$ ($^1P_1$) mesons are symmetric (antisymmetric) under the exchange of quark and anti-quark momentum…
We study the form factors for a heavy meson into the S-wave $Kπ/ππ$ system with an invariant mass below 1~GeV. The mesonic final state interactions are described in terms of the scalar form factors, which are obtained from unitarized chiral perturbation theory. Employing generalized light-cone distribution amplitudes, we compute the heavy-to-light transition using light-cone sum rules. Our approach simultaneously respects constraints from analyticity and unitarity, and also takes advantage of the power expansion in the $1/m_b$ and the strong coupling constant.
We compare the predictions for the form factors f_+^{D->pi,K}(0) from QCD sum rules on the light-cone with recent experimental results. We find f_+^{D->pi}(0) = 0.63\pm 0.11, f_+^{D->K}(0) = 0.75\pm 0.12 and f_+^{D->pi}(0)/f_+^{D->K}(0)= 0.84\pm 0.04 in very good agreement with experiment. Although the uncertainties of the form factors themselves are larger than the current experimental errors and difficult to reduce, their ratio is determined much more accurately and with an accuracy that matches that of experiment.
We calculate the W-exchange contribution to the $Ξ_{cc}^{++}\toΞ_{c}^{+(\prime)}π^{+}$ decay using light-cone sum rules. The two-particle light-cone distribution amplitudes of the pion are used as non-perturbative input for the sum rules calculation, and the perturbative kernel is calculated at the leading order. We obtain the corresponding decay branching fractions by combining our W-exchange amplitudes with the factorizable amplitudes given by various theoretical methods from the literature. It is shown that with the factorizable amplitudes from heavy quark effective theory, we obtain the br…
Semileptonic decay processes of $Ξ_c \to Ξ\ellν_\ell$ are studied by light-cone QCD sum rules in this paper. The six form factors of $Ξ_c \to Ξ$ semileptonic transition matrix elements are calculated by this method with the light-cone distribution amplitudes of $Ξ$ baryon up to twist six. With the six form factors, the absolute branching ratios of $Ξ_c^0 \to Ξ^- \ell^+ ν_\ell$ and $Ξ_c^+ \to Ξ^0 \ell^+ ν_\ell$ are calculated by the helicity amplitudes formalism of semileptonic differential decay widths. The ratios of absolute branching ratios of electron and muon final states processes give th…

The strong $D_{2}^{*}(2460)^{0}\rightarrow D^+ π^- $ and $D_{s2}^{*}(2573)^{+}\rightarrow D^{+} K^{0}$ transitions are analyzed via three point QCD sum rules. First, we calculate the corresponding strong coupling constants $g_{D_2^*Dπ}$ and $g_{D_{s2}^*DK}$. Then, we use them to calculate the corresponding decay widths and branching ratios. Making use of the existing experimental data on the ratio of the decay width in the pseudoscaler $D$ channel to that of the vector $D^*$ channel, finally, we estimate the decay width and branching ratio of the strong $D_2^*(2460)^0 \rightarrow D^*(2010)^+π^…
We investigate radial excitation of the quark-antiquark pair in the $π^0$ meson and its effects on the $γγ^* \rightarrow π^0$ transition form factor in the framework of light-cone perturbative QCD. The existing constraints on the light-cone wave function of the lowest Fock state $|q { \bar q} \rangle$ in the $π^0$ meson allow a sizeable radial excitation of the quark-antiquark pair. We construct the light-cone wave function for the quark-antiquark pair in the first radially excited state (the 2S state) using a simple harmonic oscillator potential. The distribution amplitude obtained for the 2S…
In this work, we calculate radiative vertex $VPγ$ ($V=ϕ,ω,ρ$ and $P=η,η'$) by utilizing $ω-ϕ$ mixing scheme and taking into account the contributions of the three-particle twist-4 distribution amplitudes of the photon in QCD sum rules on light cone. According to experimental data of $V\rightarrow Pγ$ and $P\rightarrow Vγ$ from PDG, a value of the $η-η^\prime$ mixing angle, $ϕ=(40.9\pm0.5)^\circ$, is extracted in the framework of the quark-flavor basis to describe the $η-η^\prime$ system.
We argue that soft non-factorisable terms give a significant contribution to the baryon form factors at intermediate momentum transfers and set up a framework for the calculation of such terms in the light-cone sum rule approach. Among them, contributions of three-quark states with different helicity structure compared to the leading twist prove to be the most important. The leading-order sum rules are derived and confronted with the experimental data.
The B --> pi ell nu weak decay form factors are calculated via light-cone sum rules within the framework of the heavy quark effective theory. We calculate the leading and the relevant sub-leading universal form factors. Our results are matched to the known soft pion limit. We also address the large pion energy limit of our sum rule results. Our results are compared with that of other approaches.

We investigate the a0-omega-gamma vertex and estimate the coupling constant in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. We compare our result with the value of the coupling constant was calculated in the QCD sum rules.
Triggered by a recent LHCb measurement and prospects for Belle II, we derive U-spin symmetry relations between integrated CP asymmetries of three-body $Λ_c^+$ and $Ξ_c^+$ decays. The sum rules read $A_{CP}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow p K^- K^+) + A_{CP}(Ξ_c^+\rightarrow Σ^+ π^- π^+) = 0$, $A_{CP}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow p π^- π^+) + A_{CP}(Ξ_c^+\rightarrow Σ^+ K^- K^+) = 0$, and $A_{CP}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow Σ^+ π^- K^+) + A_{CP}(Ξ_c^+\rightarrow pK^-π^+) = 0$. No such U-spin sum rule exists between $A_{CP}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow p K^- K^+)$ and $A_{CP}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow p π^- π^+)$. All of these sum rules are associated w…

Exclusive $B_c^\ast \rightarrow D_{s}~ν\barν$ decay is studied in the framework of the three--point QCD sum rules approach. The two gluon condensate contributions to the correlation function are calculated and the form factors of this transition are found. The decay width and total branching ratio for this decay is also calculated.
In this article, we use the light-cone QCD sum rules to relate the $Λ_b$ baryon light-cone distribution amplitudes to the Isgur-Wise function $ξ(ω)$ of the $Λ_b \to Λ_c$ transition, and obtain a simple relation. The numerical value of the Isgur-Wise function $ξ(ω)$ is consistent with the prediction of the QCD sum rules.
We review QCD sum rule applications to hadronic matrix elements of exclusive $B$ and $D$ decays. Results are presented for the form factors $f^+$ and $F_0$ of $B \rightarrow π$ and $D\rightarrow π$ transitions. The predictions are used to compute the width of $D^* \rightarrow D π$, and to extract the CKM parameter $V_{ub}$ from the measured $B \rightarrow πe ν$ width. Furthermore, we comment on weak annihilation in $B \rightarrow ργ$, as well as on the radiative decays $D \rightarrow ργ$, $D \rightarrow K^* γ$, and $B \rightarrow μνγ$.

A short introduction is given to the method of light-cone sum rules, their theoretical background and main modifications. The discussion is concentrated but not restricted to the applications to heavy quark decays.
We outline the developed approach within the light-cone sum rules at the leading order for calculation of the gravitational form factors related to the nucleon valence quark combinations. The predictions for the gravitational form factor $D(t)$ ($D$-term contributions) have been presented.
The tensor form factors of $B$ into p--wave axial vector meson transition are calculated within light cone QCD sum rules method. The parametrizations of the tensor form factors based on the series expansion are presented.
For the heavy baryons $Ξ_c$ and $Ξ_b$ the coupling constants $g_{Ξ_cΞ_cπ}$ and $g_{Ξ_bΞ_bπ}$ are calculated in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules. The most general form of the interpolating field of $Ξ_Q$ is used in the calculation.

Using the recent results for the two-parton light-cone distribution amplitudes of the tensor meson, we calculate the form factors for the decays of $B_{u,d,s}$ into the light $J^{PC}=2^{++}$ tensor mesons via the vector/axial-vector/tensor current with the light-cone sum rules. We also obtain the $q^2$-dependence of the form factors.
We calculate the transition formfactors for the B -> K l(+) l(-) decay in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. The invariant dilepton mass distribution and the final lepton longitudinal polarization asymmetry are investigated. The comparison analysis of our results with traditional sum rules method predictions on the formfactors is performed.
We have analyzed the $B\to π$ and $B_{s}\to K$ semileptonic form factors and $B\to Vγ(V=K^*,ρ,ω)$ processes in the light-cone QCD sum rules. In order to enhance the predictivity and reliability of numerical results the chiral-current correlator is employed and the twist-3 light-cone wavefunction can be effectively eliminated from the sum rules.
The magnetic and quadrupole moments of the light-vector and axial-vector mesons are calculated in the light cone QCD sum rules. Our results for the static properties of these mesons are compared with the predictions of lattice QCD as well as other approaches existing in the literature.
Recently, LHCb Collaboration announced the discovery of radial excitations of $D_s$ and $B_s$ mesons. In present work, we calculate the most promising strong and electromagnetic decay widths of radially excited $D_s(2S)$ and $B_s(2S)$ mesons within the light cone QCD sum rules method.
We investigate the $a_0K^+K^-$-vertex in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules. We estimate the coupling constant g$_{a_0K^+K^-}$ which is an essential ingredient in the analysis of physical processes involving $a_0(980)$ meson. Our result is somewhat larger than the previous determinations of this coupling constant.
