We present the study of radiative tau decay ($τ^- \rightarrow π^- ν_τγ$), computing the structure dependent contribution using Light Cone Sum Rules. This decay includes the same form factors as the radiative pion decay with the crucial difference that the momentum transfer squared, $t$, between the pion-photon system is positive, which makes these form factors timelike and also as $t$ can now take values upto $m_τ^2$ , it can produce real hadronic resonances. The analytical form for these form factors has been calculated using light cone sum rules method and the invariant mass-spectrum in the $π-γ$ system and the decay width are presented. The structure dependent parameter, $γ$, the ratio of the axial to vector form factor is found to be in good agreement with the experimental determination.
Baryon number is conserved in the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. Baryon Number Violation (BNV) is one of the criteria to explain the matter anti-matter asymmetry of the universe. Various beyond the SM (BSM) scenarios motivate BNV. In that view, it becomes important to look for various BNV decays. \\ In this work, we consider the BNV decay of heavy charmed meson to anti-proton and positron. This decay proceeds via the dim-6 SM effective field theory (SMEFT) operator and involves 12 independent form factors. We give estimates for these form factors in the framework of Light Cone Sum Ru…
We study two versions of lightcone sum rules to calculate the $γ^*γ\rightarrowπ^0$ transition form factor (TFF) within QCD. While the standard version is based on fixed-order perturbation theory by means of a power-series expansion in the strong coupling, the new method incorporates radiative corrections by renormalization-group summation and generates an expansion within a generalized fractional analytic perturbation theory involving only analytic couplings. Using this scheme, we determine the relative nonperturbative parameters and the first two Gegenbauer coefficients of the pion distributi…
We show that using renormalization-group summation to generate the QCD radiative corrections to the $π-γ$ transition form factor, calculated with lightcone sum rules (LCSR), renders the strong coupling free of Landau singularities while preserving the QCD form-factor asymptotics. This enables a reliable applicability of the LCSR method to momenta well below 1 GeV$^2$. This way, one can use the new preliminary BESIII data with unprecedented accuracy below 1.5 GeV$^2$ to fine tune the prefactor of the twist-six contribution. Using a combined fit to all available data below 3.1 GeV$^2$, we are ab…
We present a systematic light-cone QCD sum rule study of the exclusive rare radiative decay $Λ_b\rightarrowΛγ$ and rare semileptonic decay $Λ_b\rightarrowΛl^+l^-$ within the framework of the standard model. Although some LCSR studies on these rare processes can be found in different literatures, it is necessary to reanalyze them systematically for the reason that either the baryonic distribution amplitudes are improved or different interpolating currents for the $Λ_b$ baryon may lead to quite different results. In addition, the rare process $Λ_b\rightarrowΛγ$ has not yet been analyzed by LCSR …
Proton decay is a baryon number violating process, and hence is forbidden in the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. Baryon number violation is expected to be an important criteria to explain the matter-anti-matter asymmetry of the universe. Any detection of the proton decay will be a direct evidence of physics beyond the SM. In SMEFT, proton decay is possible via baryon number violating dimension-6 operators. In this work, we pay attention to the decay channel $p\rightarrow e^+ γ$ which is expected to be an experimentally cleaner channel due to less nuclear absorption. The gauge invarian…
We propose a generation dependent lepton/baryon gauge symmetry, $U(1)_{B_3 - x_μL_μ- x_τL_τ} \equiv U(1)_X$ (with $x_μ+ x_τ=1$ for anomaly cancellation), as a possible solution for the $b \rightarrow s μ^+ μ^-$ anomalies. By introducing two Higgs doublet fields, we can reproduce the observed CKM matrix, and generate flavor changing $Z'$ interactions in the quark sector. Thus one can explain observed anomalies in $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^-$ decay with the lepton non-universal $U(1)_X$ charge assignments. We show the minimal setup explaining $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^-$ anomalies, neutrino masses and mix…
We systematically study the semileptonic decay process of $ D\rightarrow S,A l\bar{ν_{l}}(l=e,μ)$ by light-cone sum rules (LCSR) with chiral currents, calculate the form factors containing only the contribution of the leading twist light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs). For scalar mesons $a_{0}(980)$ and $a_{0}(1450)$, we take them as $q\bar{q}$ states. For axial-vector meson, we study $a_{1}(1260)( 1^{3}p^{1})$ and $b_{1}(1235)( 1^{1}p^{1})$. Based on the results of these form factors, we further present the branching ratios of these semileptonic decay processes. The numerical results fo…
The latest LHC collaborations results on $σ_{H^{\pm}}BR(H^{\pm} \rightarrow τ^{\pm}ν)$ and $σ_{H^{\pm}}BR(H^{+} \rightarrow t\bar{b})$ are used to impose constraints on the charged Higgs $H^{\pm}$ parameters within the Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM). But it leaves $1.5 \leq tan β\leq 3$ window unexplored where the $BR(H^{\pm} \rightarrow W^{\pm}h)$ becomes sizable for $m_{H^{\pm}} > m_{t}$. In this manuscript $H^{\pm} \rightarrow W^{\pm}h$ is investigated with neutral Higgs boson decaying to a pair of b-quarks and the discovery prospects of charged Higgs boson is discussed. In particular, the …
Within the QCD light-cone sum rule (LCSR) approach, we investigate the transition form factors of $D\rightarrow a_0(980)$ up to the twist-3 light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of the scalar meson $a_0(980)$ in the two-quark picture. Using these form factors, we calculate the differential decay widths and branching ratios of the $D\rightarrow a_0(980) e^+ ν_e$ semileptonic decays. We obtain ${\mathcal B}(D^0\rightarrow a_0^- (980) e^+ ν_e)=(4.08^{+1.37}_{-1.22})\times 10^{-4}$ and ${\mathcal B}(D^+\rightarrow a_0^0 (980) e^+ ν_e)=(5.40^{+1.78}_{-1.59})\times 10^{-4}$. The results are sen…
In this work we present the results of a theoretical analysis of the data on photoproduction of $f_0(980)$ meson in the laboratory photon energy between 3.0 and 3.8 GeV. A comparison is done to the measurements performed by the CLAS collaboration at JLab accelerator for the exclusive reaction $γp\rightarrow pf_0(980)$. In the analysis the partial S-wave differential cross section is described by a model based on Regge approach with reggeized exchanges and distinct scenarios for the $f_0(980)\rightarrow Vγ$ coupling are considered. It is shown that such a process can provide information on the …
We calculate masses and decays of the (lightest) hybrid nonet with exotic quantum numbers $J^{PC}=1^{-+}$ and the nonet of their chiral partners with $J^{PC}=1^{+-}$ in the framework of the extended Linear Sigma Model (eLSM). As an input, we identify $π_{1}^{hyb}=π_{1}(1600)$ as a low-lying hybrid. We investigated interaction terms which fulfil chiral symmetry. For what concerns $π_{1}^{hyb},$ the most important decays are $π_{1}^{hyb}\rightarrow b_{1}π,$ $π_{1}(1600)\rightarrowρπη,$ $π_{1}^{hyb}% \rightarrowρπ,$ and $π_{1}^{hyb}\rightarrow KK^{\ast}(892).$ The decays $π_{1}^{hyb}\rightarrowηπ…
We discuss possible signatures of the $CP$-odd scalar of two-doublet models at the LHC. We find that the inclusive two-photon decay mode and the decay sequence $A^0 \rightarrow Zh, h \rightarrow γγ$, where $h$ is a $CP$-even neutral scalar, can give viable signals in fairly large and complementary regions of parameter space.
The $B\rightarrow K_{2}^{\ast}(1430)l^{+}l^{-}$ $(l=μ,τ)$ decays are analyzed in the Standard Model extended to fourth generation of quarks (SM4). The decay rate, forward-backward asymmetry, lepton polarization asymmetries and the helicity fractions of the final state $K^{*}_{2}(1430)$ meson are obtained using the form factors calculated in the light cone sum rules (LCSR) approach. We have utilized the constraints on different fourth generation parameters obtained from the experimental information on $K$, $B$ and $D$ decays and from the electroweak precision data to explore their impact on the…
The Hidden Abelian Higgs Model (HAHM) is an extension of the Standard Model based on the gauge group $G =SU(3)_{C} \times SU(2)_{L} \times U(1)_{Y} \times U(1)_{X}$ i.e. an extra $U(1)_{X}$ gauge group in addition to the SM gauge groups. In HAHM, an Abelian Hidden sector is coupled to the SM, and the resulting new Higgs boson H and new neutral gauge boson $Z_{HAHM}$ fields are allowed to mix with the corresponding SM fields. In this work, we search for the new neutral gauge boson $Z_{HAHM}$ and new Higgs boson in the context of the Hidden Abelian Higgs Model (HAHM) through the decay process $pp…
We calculate the gravitational form factors of the excited $N(1535)$ state with the quantum numbers $I(J^P)=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{1}{2}^-)$ via light cone QCD sum rules (LCSR). To this end, we consider the quark part of the energy-momentum tensor (EMT) current and use the general form of the nucleon's interpolating field as well as the distribution amplitudes (DAs) of $N(1535)$. As both the nucleon and $N(1535)$ couple to the same current, the $N(1535) \rightarrow N$ gravitational transition form factors are entered to the calculations as the main input parameters. First we revisit the transitiona…
Large Extra Dimensions Models have been proposed to remove the hierarchy problem and give an explanation why the gravity is so much weaker than the other three forces. In this work, we present an analysis of Monte Carlo data events for new physics signatures of spin-2 Graviton in context of ADD model with total dimensions $D=4+δ,$ $δ= 1,2,3,4,5,6 $ where $ δ$ is the extra special dimension, this model involves missing momentum $P_{T}^{miss}$ in association with jet in the final state via the process $pp(\bar{p}) \rightarrow G+jet$, Also, we present an analysis in context of the RS model with 5…
Inspired by recent results on the Higgs search from ATLAS and CMS, we extend the SM with complex septuplet scalars. The lightest neutral component of the septuplets is a natural cold dark Matter candidate and the charged components can contribute to the $h\to γγ$ decay rate, providing a significant enhancement factor. The dark matter phenomenology and possible collider signatures of the model are investigated. We find a dark matter candidate with mass around 70 GeV consistent with astrophysical and direct detection constraints. In the meanwhile, the enhancement factor of $h\to γγ$ decay rate c…
We investigate the phenomenology of the light charged and neutral scalars in Inert Doublet Model at future $e^+ e^-$ colliders with center of mass energies of 0.5 and 1 TeV, and integrated luminosity of 500~fb$^{-1}$. The analysis covers two production processes, $e^{+}e^{-} \rightarrow H^{+}H^{-}$ and $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow AH$, and consists of signal selections, cross section determinations as well as dark matter mass measurements. Several benchmark points are studied with focus on $H^{\pm} \rightarrow W^{\pm}H$ and $A \rightarrow ZH$ decays. It is concluded that the signal will be well obse…
In this paper we present a Next-to-Next-to Leading Order (NNLO) calculation of the production of a Higgs boson in association with a massive vector boson. We include the decays of the unstable Higgs and vector bosons, resulting in a fully flexible parton-level Monte Carlo implementation. We also include all $\mathcal{O}(α_s^2)$ contributions that occur in production for these processes: those mediated by the exchange of a single off-shell vector boson in the $s$-channel, and those which arise from the coupling of the Higgs boson to a closed loop of fermions. We study final states of interest f…

We perform a phenomenological study of the scalar sector of two models that generate neutrino mass at the three-loop level and contain viable dark matter candidates. Both models contain a charged singlet scalar and a larger scalar multiplet (triplet or quintuplet). We investigate the effect of the extra scalars on the Higgs mass and analyze the modifications to the triple Higgs coupling. The new scalars can give observable changes to the Higgs decay channel $h\rightarrowγγ$ and, furthermore, we find that the electroweak phase transition becomes strongly first-order in large regions of paramete…
We examine the phenomenology of the $CP$-odd scalar $A^0$ of two-Higgs-doublet models. We explore the parameter space determined by triviality bounds and identify the regions where the $A^0$ can be detected at the LHC in each of the following modes: the inclusive two-photon decay mode, the $l^{\pm}γγX$ mode from $t\overline{t}A^0$ production and the $A^0\rightarrow Zh$ channel with the subsequent decay of the $CP$-even scalar $h$ to two photons. We find that, while the $l^{\pm}γγX$ mode is of limited usefulness, the other two modes can give viable signals in fairly large, and complementary, re…
Motivated by recent search results for the standard model (SM) Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we revisit the Higgs phenomenology in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT). We present the signal strength modifier $μ$ respectively for the main search channels $qq' \rightarrow jjh\rightarrow jjγγ$, $qq'\rightarrow Vh\rightarrow Vγγ$, $qq'\rightarrow Vh \rightarrow Vbb$, $gg\rightarrow h \rightarrow γγ$, and $gg \rightarrow h \rightarrow VV$ in the LHT model. It is found that an enhancement factor of $1.09-1.56$ in $qq' \rightarrow jjh\rightarrow jjγγ$ channel can be obtaine…
Available form factor parametrizations for $B\rightarrow D^*lν$ imply different theoretical assumptions and different treatments of theoretical uncertainties. They give results for $\vert V_{cb}\vert$ whose central values are apart by up to $8\%$. The way the Caprini Lellouch Neubert (CLN) parametrization has been used in experimental analyses sets theoretical uncertainties of the Heavy Quark Effective Theory (HQET) results on slope and curvature of the form factor ratios $R_1$ and $R_2$ to zero. Furthermore, the relation of curvature and slope of the axial form factor $A_1$ is fixed to the HQ…
In this paper, we explore the collider phenomenology of the charged Higgs boson in the context of a generic Beyond Standard Model scenario with extended gauge and scalar sectors. In such scenarios, the charged Higgs boson can decay via the $W^{'}Z/ WZ^{'}$ channels. We formulate a search strategy for the $H^{\pm}$ in the channel $σ(g b \rightarrow H^{\pm}t)\mathcal{BR}(H^{\pm} \rightarrow W' Z)$ considering the interesting cascade decay chain $H^{\pm} \rightarrow W^{'} Z \rightarrow W^{\pm} Z Z$. We find that the charged Higgs can be discovered in final states with multiple hard leptons and/ o…
As the U(1) extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model, the $U(1)_X$SSM has new super fields such as right-handed neutrinos and three Higgs singlets. In the $U(1)_X$SSM, the lightest CP-even Higgs mass $m_{h^0}$ is researched through the Higgs effective potential with one loop corrections. We also calculate the Higgs decays $h^0\rightarrowγγ$, $h^0\rightarrow VV~(V=W,~Z)$, $h^0\rightarrow l\bar{l}Z$ and $h^0\rightarrow ν\barνZ$. The obtained results are reasonable, which are in favour of the study of the Higgs characteristic and the phenomenology of the $U(1)_X$SSM.
We develop the color dipole phenomenology of diffractive photo- and electroproduction $γ^{*}\,N\rightarrow V(V')\,N$ of light vector mesons ($V(1S) = ϕ^0, ω^0, ρ^0$) and their radial excitations ($V'(2S) = ϕ', ω', ρ'$). The node of the radial wave function of the $2S$ states in conjunction with the energy dependence of the color dipole cross section is shown to lead to a strikingly different $Q^2$ and $ν$ dependence of diffractive production of the $V(1S)$ and $V'(2S)$ vector mesons. We discuss the restoration of flavor symmetry and universality properties of production of different vector mes…
We study the decays of the pseudotensor mesons $[ π_{2}(1670) , K_{2}(1770) , η_{2}(1645) , η_{2}(1870) ]$ interpreted as the ground-state nonet of $1^1 D_{2}$ $\bar{q}q$ states using interaction Lagrangians which couple them to pseudoscalar, vector, and tensor mesons. While the decays of $π_2 (1670)$ and $K_2 (1770)$ can be well described, the decays of the isoscalar states $η_2 (1645)$ and $η_2 (1870)$ can be brought in agreement with experimental data only if the mixing angle between nonstrange and strange states is surprisingly large (about $-42^\circ$, similar to the mixing in the pseudos…
We study the phenomenology of a Standard Model (SM) extension with two charged singlet scalars and three right handed (RH) neutrinos at an electron-positron collider. In this model, the neutrino mass is generated radiatively at three-loop, the lightest RH neutrino is a good dark matter candidate; and the electroweak phase transition strongly first order as required for baryogenesis. We focus on the process $e^{+}+e^{-}\rightarrow e^{-}μ^{+}+E_{miss}$, where the model contains new lepton flavor violating interactions that contribute to the missing energy. We investigate the feasibility of detec…
We examine the phenomenology of the production, at the 13 TeV Large Hadron Collider (LHC), of a heavy resonance $X$, which decays via other new on-shell particles $n$ into multi- (i.e.\ three or more) photon final states. In the limit that $n$ has a much smaller mass than $X$, the multi-photon final state may dominantly appear as a two photon final state because the $γ$s from the $n$ decay are highly collinear and remain unresolved. We discuss how to discriminate this scenario from $X \rightarrow γγ$: rather than discarding non-isolated photons, it is better instead to relax the isolation crit…
The presence of a colored scalar that is a weak doublet with fractional electric charges of $|Q|=2/3$ and $|Q|=5/3$ with mass below 1,TeV can provide an explanation of the observed branching ratios in $B \to D^{(*)} τ\bar ν$ decays. The required combination of scalar and tensor operators in the effective Hamiltonian for $b \to c τ\bar ν$ is generated through the $t$-channel exchange. We focus on a scenario with a minimal set of Yukawa couplings that can address a semitauonic puzzle and show that its resolution puts a nontrivial bound on the product of the scalar couplings to $\bar τb$ and $\ba…
We review the status of the phenomenology of light neutralinos in an effective Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) at the electroweak scale, in light of new results obtained at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. First we consider the impact of the new data obtained by the CMS Collaboration on the search for the Higgs boson decay into a tau pair, and by the CMS and LHCb Collaborations on the branching ratio for the decay $B_s \rightarrow μ^{+} + μ^{-}$. Then we examine the possible implications of the excess of events found by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations in a search …
We study the phenomenology of the light and heavy Higgs boson production and decay in the context of a $U(1)_{B-L}$ extension of the Standard Model with an additional $Z'$ boson at future $e^+e^-$ linear colliders with center-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=500-3000\hspace{0.8mm}GeV$ and integrated luminosities of ${\cal L}=500-2000\hspace{0.8mm}fb^{-1}$. The study includes the processes $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow (Z, Z') \to Zh$ and $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow (Z, Z') \to ZH$, considering both the resonant and non-resonant effects. We find that the total number of expected $Zh$ and $ZH$ events can reach…
We study a two-Higgs doublet model extended with an additional singlet scalar (2HDM+S), and provide a brief introduction to the model and its parameters. Constraints are applied to the parameter space of this model in order to accommodate a number of features in the data that have been interpreted in von Buddenbrock et al (2018 J. Phys. G 45 115003) as the result of the $H\rightarrow Sh$ decay produced via gluon-gluon fusion and in association with top quarks. Implications on the phenomenology of the heavy pseudo-scalar ($A$) and charged scalar ($H^+$) are discussed. In particular, the decays …
Studies of R-parity violating (RPV) supersymmetry typically assume that nucleon stability is protected by approximate baryon number (B) or lepton number (L) conservation. We present a new class of RPV models that violate B and L simultaneously (BLRPV), without inducing rapid nucleon decay. These models feature an approximate $Z_2^e \times Z_2^μ\times Z_2^τ$ flavor symmetry, which forbids 2-body nucleon decay and ensures that flavor antisymmetric $L L E^c$ couplings are the only non-negligible L-violating operators. Nucleons are predicted to decay through $N \rightarrow K e μν$ and $n \rightarr…
A total and differential cross-section calculation for the Electroweak Standard Model reaction $e^+ e^- \rightarrow (Z^0 Z^0) \rightarrow f_1\bar{f_1}f_2\bar{f_2}(γ)$\ including the effects of the finite $Z^0$\ width and, for the first time, all QED initial state radiative corrections (ISR) is presented. A semi-analytical technique is used: All angular phase space integrations, five for the tree level process, seven if ISR is included, are carried out analytically. The remaining phase space variables are the invariant masses of the two decaying $Z^0$\ bosons for tree level plus the reduced cen…
We explore the phenomenology of models containing one Vector-Like Quark (VLQ), $t'$, which can decay into the Standard Model (SM) top quark, $t$, and a new spin-0 neutral boson, $S$, the latter being either a scalar or pseudoscalar state. We parametrise the underlying interactions in terms of a simplified model which enables us to capture possible Beyond the SM (BSM) scenarios. We discuss in particular three such scenarios: one where the SM state is supplemented by an additional scalar, one which builds upon a 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) framework and another which realises a Composite Higgs …
In the Next-to Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM), a sizable coupling $λ$ between the singlet and Higgs fields can naturally accommodate the observed Higgs boson mass of 125 GeV. This large coupling also results in a large separation between the Higgsino and singlino mass scales in the neutralino sector to evade stringent constraints from direct detection experiments. Most of the natural parameter space in this setup therefore contains light Higgsinos that can decay into the singlino and the 125 GeV Higgs. If the Higgsinos are to be light enough to be produced at the LHC, the mass g…
