We prove Lusztig's conjectures P1-P15 for hyperbolic Coxeter groups of rank 3. Our proof enables us to give a description of the a-function and Kazhdan-Lusztig cells for these Coxeter groups.
In a recent paper by K.-H. Lee and K. Lee, rigid reflections are defined for any Coxeter group via non-self-intersecting curves on a Riemann surface with labeled curves. When the Coxeter group arises from an acyclic quiver, the rigid reflections are related to the rigid representations of the quiver. For a family of rank $3$ Coxeter groups, it was conjectured in the same paper that there is a natural bijection from the set of reduced positive roots of a symmetric rank $2$ Kac--Moody algebra onto the set of rigid reflections of the corresponding rank $3$ Coxeter group. In this paper, we prove t…
In this paper, we give precise description for the lowest lowest two-sided cell c_{0} and the left cells in it for a weighted Coxeter group of rank 3. Then we show conjectures P1-P15 and \widetilde{P} hold for c_{0} and do some calculation for the based ring of c_{0}.
In this paper we extend the computations in parts I and II of this series of papers and complete the proof of a conjecture of Lehrer and Solomon expressing the character of a finite Coxeter group W acting on the pth graded component of its Orlik-Solomon algebra as a sum of characters induced from linear characters of centralizers of elements of W for groups of rank seven and eight. For classical Coxeter groups, these characters are given using a formula that is expected to hold in all ranks.
The notion of limit roots of a Coxeter group W was recently introduced (see arXiv:1112.5415 and arXiv:1303.6710): they are the accumulation points of directions of roots of a root system for W. In the case where the root system lives in a Lorentzian space W admits a faithful representation as a discrete reflection group of isometries on a hyperbolic space; the accumulation set of any of its orbits is then classically called the limit set of W. In this article we show that the limit roots of a Coxeter group W acting on a Lorentzian space is equal to the limit set of W seen as a discrete reflect…
Let (W,S) be a finite rank Coxeter system with W infinite. We prove that the limit weak order on the blocks of infinite reduced words of W is encoded by the topology of the Tits boundary of the Davis complex X of W. We consider many special cases, including W word hyperbolic, and X with isolated flats. We establish that when W is word hyperbolic, the limit weak order is the disjoint union of weak orders of finite Coxeter groups. We also establish, for each boundary point ξ, a natural order-preserving correspondence between infinite reduced words which "point towards" ξ, and elements of the ref…
We describe an algorithm to identify a minimal set of "braid relations" which span and preserve all sets of involution words for twisted Coxeter systems of finite or affine type. We classify the cases in which adding the smallest possible set of "half-braid" relations to the ordinary braid relations produces a spanning set: in the untwisted case, this occurs for the Coxeter systems which are finite with rank two or type $A_n$, or affine with rank three or type $\tilde A_n$. These results generalize recent work of Hu and Zhang on the finite classical cases.
In this paper we first present a Birman-Murakami-Wenzl type algebra for every Coxeter system of rank 2 (corresponding to dihedral groups). We prove they have semisimple for generic parameters, and having natural cellular structures. And classcify their irreducible representations. Among them there is one serving as a generalization of the Lawrence-Krammer representation with quite neat shape and the "correct" dimension. We conjecture they are isomorphic to the generalized Lawrence-Krammer representaions defined by I.Marin as monodromy of certain KZ connections. We prove these representations a…
