Let $(\mathcal{K},\mathcal{O},k)$ be a $p$-modular system with $k$ algebraically closed, let $b$ be a block of the normal subgroup $H$ of $G$ having defect pointed group $Q_δ$ in $H$ and $P_γ$ in $G$, and consider the block extension $b\mathcal{O}G$. One may attach to $b$ an extended local category $\mathcal{E}_{(b,H,G)}$, a group extension $L$ of $Z(Q)$ by $N_G(Q_δ)/C_H(Q)$ having $P$ as a Sylow $p$-subgroup, and a cohomology class $[α]\in H^2(N_G(Q_δ)/QC_H(Q),k^\times)$. We prove that these objects are invariant under the $G/H$-graded basic Morita equivalences. Along the way, we give alternative proofs of the results of Külshammer and Puig (1990), Puig and Zhou (2012) on extensions of nilpotent blocks. We also deduce by our methods a result of Zhou (2016) on $p'$-extensions of inertial blocks.
In this paper, we determine the cocycle deformations and Galois objects for semisimple Hopf algebras of dimension pqr, and decide the categorically Morita equivalent classes and monoidally Morita equivalent classes of them. We show that all of them only have one trivial Galois objects, therefore these Hopf algebras are pairwise twist inequivalent, equivalently they are not monoidally Morita equivalent to each other, moreover, all the categorically Morita equivalent classes are determined.
We introduce group graded basic Morita equivalences between algebras deter- mined by blocks of normal subgroups, and by using the extended Brauer quotient, we show that they induce graded basic Morita equivalences at local levels.
It is well-known that derived equivalences preserve tensor products and trivial extensions. We disprove both constructions for stable equivalences of Morita type.
Stable equivalences of Morita type preserve many interesting properties and is proved to be the appropriate concept to study for equivalences between stable categories. Recently the singularity category attained much attraction and Xiao-Wu Chen and Long-Gang Sun gave an appropriate definition of singular equivalence of Morita type. We shall show that under some conditions singular equivalences of Morita type have some biadjoint functor properties and preserve positive degree Hochschild homology.
We give a complete description of the Morita equivalence classes of blocks with elementary abelian defect groups of order 8 and of the derived equivalences between them. A consequence is the verification of Broué's abelian defect group conjecture for these blocks. It also completes the classification of Morita and derived equivalence classes of 2-blocks of defect at most three defined over a suitable field.
The Morita equivalences of classical Brauer algebras and classical Birman-Murakami-Wenzl algebras have been well studied. Here we study the Morita equivalence problems on these two kinds of algebras of simply-laced type, especially for them with the generic parameters. We show that Brauer algebras and Birman-Murakami-Wenzl algebras of simply-laced type are Morita equivalent to the direct sums of some group algebras of Coxeter groups and some Hecke algebras of some Coxeter groups, respectively.
We review Morita equivalence for finite type $k$-algebras $A$ and also a weakening of Morita equivalence which we call stratified equivalence. The spectrum of $A$ is the set of equivalence classes of irreducible $A$-modules. For any finite type $k$-algebra $A$, the spectrum of $A$ is in bijection with the set of primitive ideals of $A$. The stratified equivalence relation preserves the spectrum of $A$ and also preserves the periodic cyclic homology of $A$. However, the stratified equivalence relation permits a tearing apart of strata in the primitive ideal space which is not allowed by Morita …
We contribute to the classification of finite dimensional algebras under stable equivalence of Morita type. More precisely we give a classification of the class of Erdmann's algebras of dihedral, semi-dihedral and quaternion type and obtain as byproduct the validity of the Auslander-Reiten conjecture for these classes of algebras.
In this paper, we present a method to construct new stable equivalences of Morita type. Suppose that a stable equivalence of Morita type between finite dimensional algebras $A$ and $B$ is defined by a $B$-$A$-bimodule $N$. Then, for any finite admissible set $Φ$ of natural numbers and any generator $X$ of the $A$-module category, the $Φ$-Beilinson-Green algebras $\scr G^Φ_A(X)$ and $\scr G^Φ_B(N\otimes_AX)$ are stably equivalent of Morita type. In particular, if $Φ=\{0\}$, we get a known result in literature. As another consequence, we construct an infinite family of derived equivalent algebra…
Let $A$ and $B$ be finite-dimensional $k$-algebras over a field $k$ such that $A/\rad(A)$ and $B/\rad(B)$ are separable. In this note, we consider how to transfer a stable equivalence of Morita type between $A$ and $B$ to that between $eAe$ and $fBf$, where $e$ and $f$ are idempotent elements in $A$ and in $B$, respectively. In particular, if the Auslander algebras of two representation-finite algebras $A$ and $B$ are stably equivalent of Morita type, then $A$ and $B$ themselves are stably equivalent of Morita type. Thus, combining a result with Liu and Xi, we see that two representation-finit…
Buan-Iyama-Reiten-Smith proved, based on Derksen-Weyman-Zelevinsky work, that the Jacobian algebra of two quivers with potential related by a QP-mutation are nearly Morita equivalent. They proved, using Axiom of Choice, that the natural functor $μ_k$ is an equivalence by showing that $μ_k$ is full, faithfull and dense. In this note we provide a quasi-inverse $μ_k^-$ to $μ_k$ without Axiom of Choice.
We use the dimension and the Lie algebra structure of the first Hochschild cohomology group to distinguish some algebras of dihedral, semi-dihedral and quaternion type up to stable equivalence of Morita type. In particular, we complete the classification of algebras of dihedral type that was mostly determined by Zhou and Zimmermann.

Given a dihedral $2$-group $P$ of order at least~8, we classify the splendid Morita equivalence classes of principal $2$-blocks with defect groups isomorphic to $P$. To this end we construct explicit stable equivalences of Morita type induced by specific Scott modules using Brauer indecomposability and gluing methods; we then determine when these stable equivalences are actually Morita equivalences, and hence automatically splendid Morita equivalences. Finally, we compute the generalised decomposition numbers in each case.
We develop Morita theory for finitary additive 2-representations of finitary 2-categories. As an application we describe Morita equivalence classes for 2-categories of projective functors associated to finite dimensional algebras and for 2-categories of Soergel bimodules.
We classify principal blocks of finite groups with semidihedral defect groups up to splendid Morita equivalence. This completes the classification of all principal $2$-blocks of tame representation type up to splendid Morita equivalence and shows that Puig's Finiteness Conjecture holds for such blocks.
We show that several Morita equivalence classes of tame algebras do not occur as blocks of finite groups. This refines classifications by Erdmann of classes of blocks with dihedral, semidihedral, and generalised quaternion defect groups. In particular we now have a complete classification of the Morita equivalence classes of blocks of finite groups with dihedral defect groups.
We prove that splendid Morita equivalences between principal blocks of finite groups with dihedral Sylow $2$-subgroups realised by Scott modules can be lifted to splendid Morita equivalences between principal blocks of finite groups with generalised quaternion Sylow $2$-subgroups realised by Scott modules.
For self-injective algebras, Rickard proved that each derived equivalence induces a stable equivalence of Morita type. For general algebras, it is unknown when a derived equivalence implies a stable equivalence of Morita type. In this paper, we first show that each derived equivalence $F$ between the derived categories of Artin algebras $A$ and $B$ arises naturally a functor $\bar{F}$ between their stable module categories, which can be used to compare certain homological dimensions of $A$ with that of $B$; and then we give a sufficient condition for the functor $\bar{F}$ to be an equivalence.…
We generalize the notion of stable equivalence of Morita type and define what is called "singular equivalence of Morita type with level". Such an equivalence of induces an equivalence between singular categories. We will also prove that a derived equivalence of standard type induces a singular equivalence of Morita type with level.
We prove the existence of Morita equivalences between the spin blocks at the extremal points of strings in the block-reduced crystal graph. When the parities of the core partitions are not preserved, these equivalences require crossovers, with a block of the symmtric group Morita equivalent to a block of the alternating group and vice versa. The result permits in improvement of the bound for Donovan's Conjecture given by Kessar.
This paper is investigative work into the properties of a family of graded algebras recently defined by Varagnolo and Vasserot, which we call VV algebras. We compare categories of modules over KLR algebras with categories of modules over VV algebras, establishing various Morita equivalences. Using these Morita equivalences we are able to prove several properties of certain classes of VV algebras such as (graded) affine cellularity and affine quasi-heredity.
We show that the family of Podles' spheres is complete under equivariant Morita equivalence (with respect to the action of quantum SU(2)), and determine the associated orbits. We also give explicit formulas for the actions which are equivariantly Morita equivalent with the quantum projective plane. In both cases, the computations are made by examining the localized spectral decomposition of a generalized Casimir element.
Using that integrable derivations of symmetric algebras can be interpreted in terms of Bockstein homomorphisms in Hochschild cohomology, we show that integrable derivations are invariant under the transfer maps in Hochschild cohomology of symmetric algebras induced by stable equivalences of Morita type. With applications in block theory in mind, we allow complete discrete valuation rings of unequal characteristic.
By results of the second author, a source algebra equivalence between two $p$-blocks of finite groups induces an equivalence between the categories of cohomological Mackey functors associated with these blocks, and a splendid derived equivalence between two blocks induces a derived equivalence between the corresponding categories of cohomological Mackey functors. The main result of this paper proves a partial converse: an equivalence (resp. Rickard equivalence) between the categories of cohomological Mackey functors of two blocks of finite groups induces a permeable Morita (resp. derived) equi…
We classify the Morita equivalence classes of principal blocks with elementary abelian defect groups of order 64 with respect to a complete discrete valuation ring with an algebraically closed residue field of characteristic two.
We show, using basic Morita equivalences between block algebras of finite groups, that the Conjecture of H. Sasaki from [9] is true for a new class of blocks called nilpotent covered blocks. When this Conjecture is true we define some transfer maps between cohomology of block algebras and we analyze them through transfer maps between Hochschild cohomol- ogy algebras.
In this paper we classify all Morita equivalent pairs of (classical) generalized Weyl algebras for generic values of the parameters, thus positively settling a 30 year old question posed by T.Hodges. We also prove a similar result for noncommutative deformations of arbitrary Kleinian singularities provided the corresponding parameters are very generic.
This note uses a variation of graded Morita theory for finite dimensional superalgebras to determine explicitly the graded basic superalgebras for all real and complex Clifford superalgebras. As an application, the Grothendieck groups of the category of left $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded modules over all real and complex Clifford superalgebras are described explicitly.

Motivated by understanding the Broué's abelian defect group conjecture from algebraic point of view, we consider the question of how to lift a stable equivalence of Morita type between arbitrary finite dimensional algebras to a derived equivalence. In this paper, we present a machinery to solve this question for a class of stable equivalences of Morita type. In particular, we show that every stable equivalence of Morita type between Frobenius-finite algebras over an algebraically closed field can be lifted to a derived equivalence. %Thus Frobenius-finite algebras share many common %invariants …
We study the structural and homological properties of graded Artinian modules over generalized Weyl algebras (GWAs), and this leads to a decomposition result for the category of graded Artinian modules. Then we define and examine a category of graded modules analogous to the BGG category O. We discover a condition on the data defining the GWA that ensures O has a system of projective generators. Under this condition, O has nice representation-theoretic properties. There is also a decomposition result for O. Next, we give a necessary condition for there to be a strongly graded Morita equivalenc…
We describe a general technique to classify blocks of finite groups, and we apply it to determine Morita equivalence classes of blocks with elementary abelian defect groups of order 32 with respect to a complete discrete valuation ring with an algebraically closed residue field of characteristic two. As a consequence we verify that a conjecture of Harada holds on these blocks.
If two cluster-tilting objects of an acyclic cluster category are related by a mutation, then their endomorphism algebras are nearly-Morita equivalent [Buan-Marsh-Reiten], i.e. their module categories are equivalent "up to a simple module". This result has been generalised by D. Yang, using a result of P-G. Plamondon, to any simple mutation of maximal rigid objects in a 2-Calabi--Yau triangulated category. In this paper, we investigate the more general case of any mutation of a (non-necessarily maximal) rigid object in a triangulated category with a Serre functor. In that setup, the endomorphi…
A well-known result of Scopes states that there are only finitely many Morita equivalence classes of $p$-blocks of symmetric groups with a given weight (or defect). In this note we investigate a lower bound on the number of those Morita equivalence classes.
We investigate Conjecture 1.6 introduced by Barker and Gelvin in [3], which says that any source algebra of a p-block (p is a prime) of finite group has the unit group containing a basis stabilized by left and right action of the defect group. We will reduce this conjecture to a similar statement about basis of the hyperfocal subalgebras in the source algebra. We will also show that such unital basis of source algebras of two p-blocks, stabilized by left and right action of the defect group, are transported trough basic Morita equivalences.
We classify pointed fusion categories C(G, $ω$) up to Morita equivalence for 1 < |G| < 32. Among them, the cases |G| = 2 3 , 2 4 and 3 3 are emphasized. Although the equivalence classes of such categories are not distinguished by their Frobenius-Schur indicators, their categorical Morita equivalence classes are distinguished by the set of the indicators and ribbon twists of their Drinfeld centers. In particular, the modular data are a complete invariant for the modular categories Z(C(G, $ω$)) for |G[< 32. We use the computer algebra package GAP and present codes for treating complex-valued gro…
In this paper, we present two methods, induction and restriction procedures, to construct new stable equivalences of Morita type. Suppose that a stable equivalence of Morita type between two algebras $A$ and $B$ is defined by a $B$-$A$-bimodule $N$. Then, for any finite admissible set $Φ$ and any generator $X$ of the $A$-module category, the $Φ$-Auslander-Yoneda algebras of $X$ and $N\otimes_AX$ are stably equivalent of Morita type. Moreover, under certain conditions, we transfer stable equivalences of Morita type between $A$ and $B$ to ones between $eAe$ and $fBf$, where $e$ and $f$ are idemp…
Given a fusion category $\mathcal{C}$ and an indecomposable $\mathcal{C}$-module category $\mathcal{M}$, the fusion category $\mathcal{C}^*_\mathcal{M}$ of $\mathcal{C}$-module endofunctors of $\mathcal{M}$ is called the (Morita) dual fusion category of $\mathcal{C}$ with respect to $\mathcal{M}$. We describe tensor functors between two arbitrary duals $\mathcal{C}^*_\mathcal{M}$ and $\mathcal{D}^*_\mathcal{N}$ in terms of data associated to $\mathcal{C}$ and $\mathcal{D}$. We apply the results to $G$-equivariantizations of fusion categories and group-theoretical fusion categories. We describe…
