Using the semi-classical approximation to the Wheeler-DeWitt equation obtained via Arnowitt-Deser-Misner (ADM) formalism in the Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) model coupled to a scalar field and positive cosmological constant, and in the Kantowski-Sachs (KS) Universe, we introduced a deformation on the commutation relation for the minisuperspace variables and find an explicit semiclassical expression equivalent, in an adequate limit, to the solution with the aid of asymptotically equal functions and the theory of Ultrafilters, offering a suggestive alternative to sketch the behavior of the dynamical system involved without the need to solve it numerically.
It is well known that classical Unimodular Gravity (UG) is equivalent to General Relativity, but is not clear the equivalence at the quantum level. Here we exhibit, in the UG framework, the Quantum Cosmology (QC) for a Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) universe, considering an inflationary scenario and also introducing a deformation on the commutation relations for the minisuperspace variables (NCC).
We construct and study a simple noncommutative scheme (theta-deformation) for the effective Loop Quantum Cosmology of the flat Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker model in the presence of a homogeneous scalar field $ϕ$ with a potential $\mathcal{V}(ϕ)=\frac{1}{2}m^2ϕ^2$. We first conduct a simple analysis from the corresponding Hamilton equations of motion considering a generic term $\mathcal V(ϕ)$. It is observed that the characteristic Big Bounce of Loop Quantum Cosmology is preserved under such noncommutative extension. When specializing to the quadratic case, numerical solutions to the cor…
We study the effect of noncommutative spacetime geometry on one-loop corrections to the primordial curvature two-point function, arising from various forms of massless spectator matter fields interacting gravitationally with the inflaton. After deforming the algebra of functions on the inflationary background to a spatially noncommutative one, we find that this induces momentum-dependent corrections to one-loop terms which imply that the vacuum fluctuation of the energy-momentum tensor sources that of the curvature fluctuation even for distances beyond horizon scales. The one-loop corrections …
We study classical and quantum noncommutative cosmology with a Liouville-type scalar degree of freedom. The noncommutativity is imposed on the minisuperspace variables through a deformation of the Poisson algebra. In this paper, we investigate the effects of noncommutativity of minisuperspace variables on the accelerating behavior of the cosmic scale factor. The probability distribution in noncommutative quantum cosmology is also studied and we propose a novel candidate for interpretation of the probability distribution in terms of noncommutative arguments.
Time evolution of modes of density contrast, in particular the growing modes, dictate the structure formation in Universe. In this paper we explicitly show how (spatial) Non-Commutativity (NC) can affect the behavior of the modes, that is we compute NC corrected power law profiles of the density contrast modes. We develop a generalized fluid model that lives in NC space. The dynamical equations of fluid, namely the continuity and Euler equations receive NC contributions. When mapped to comoving coordinates these generate the NC extended versions of continuity and Friedmann equations for cosmol…
We study noncommutative deformations of the wave equation in curved backgrounds and discuss the modification of the dispersion relations due to noncommutativity combined with curvature of spacetime. Our noncommutative differential geometry approach is based on Drinfeld twist deformation, and can be implemented for any twist and any curved background. We discuss in detail the Jordanian twist $-$giving $κ$-Minkowski spacetime in flat space$-$ in the presence of a Friedman-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) cosmological background. We obtain a new expression for the variation of the speed of light,…
By assuming the spatially flat~FLRW line-element and employing the Hamiltonian formalism, a noncommutative (NC) setting of the Brans-Dicke (BD) theory is introduced. We investigate gravity-driven acceleration and kinetic inflation in this NC BD cosmology. Despite to the commutative case, in which both the scale factor and BD scalar field are obtained in power-law forms (in terms of the cosmic time), in our herein NC model, we see that the power-law scalar factor is multiplied by a dynamical exponential warp factor. This warp factor depends on not only the NC parameter but also the momentum con…
In the present work, we study the noncommutative version of a quantum cosmology model. The model has a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker geometry, the matter content is a radiative perfect fluid and the spatial sections have positive constant curvatures. We work in the Schutz's variational formalism. We quantize the model and obtain the appropriate Wheeler-DeWitt equation. In this model the states are bounded. Therefore, we compute the discrete energy spectrum and the corresponding eigenfunctions. The energies depend on a noncommutative parameter ($θ$). The solutions to the Wheeler-DeWitt equation ar…
The paper discusses back reaction effects in cosmology, (á la Buchert et. al.), induced by noncommutative geometry effects in fluid. We have used generalizations of an action formulation of noncommutative fluid model, proposed earlier by us. We show that the noncommutative effects, depending on its nature, can play either roles of (kinematical) dark matter or Cosmological Constant.
The noncommutativity of the space-time had important implications for the very early Universe, when its size was of the order of the Planck length. An important implication of this effect is the deformation of the standard dispersion relation of special relativity. Moreover, in the Planck regime gravity itself must be described by a quantum theory. We consider the implications of the modified dispersion relations for a photon gas, filling the early Universe, in the framework of Loop Quantum Cosmology, a theoretical approach to quantum gravity. We consider three types of deformations of the dis…
In this work we construct a noncommutative version of the Friedmann equations in the framework of effective loop quantum cosmology, extending and applying the ideas presented in a previous proposal by some of the authors. The model under consideration is a flat FRW spacetime with a free scalar field. First, noncommutativity in the momentum sector is introduced. We establish the noncommutative equations of motion and obtain the corresponding exact solutions. Such solutions indicate that the bounce is preserved, in particular, the energy density is the same as in standard LQC. We also construct …
We construct a noncommutative extension of the Loop Quantum Cosmology effective scheme for the open FLRW model with a free scalar field via a theta deformation. Firstly, a deformation is implemented in the configuration sector, among the holonomy variable and the matter degree of freedom. We show that this type of noncommutativity retain, to some degree, key features of the Loop Quantum Cosmology paradigm for a free field. Secondly, a deformation is implemented in the momentum sector, among the momentum associated to the holonomy variable and the momentum associated to the matter field. We sho…
In this paper, by establishing a Brans-Dicke (BD) cosmology by means of a deformed phase space, in the absence of any scalar potential, cosmological constant and ordinary matter, we show that it is feasible to overcome obstacles reported in the corresponding commutative (non-deformed) frameworks. More concretely, by applying the Hamiltonian formalism and introducing a dynamical deformation, between the momenta associated to the FLRW scale factor and the BD scalar field, we obtain the modified equations of motion. In particular, these equations reduce to their standard counterparts when the non…
Working within the recent formalism of Poisson-Riemannian geometry, we completely solve the case of generic spherically symmetric metric and spherically symmetric Poisson-bracket to find a unique answer for the quantum differential calculus, quantum metric and quantum Levi-Civita connection at semiclassical order $O(λ)$. Here $λ$ is the deformation parameter, plausibly the Planck scale. We find that $r,t,dr,dt$ are all forced to be central, i.e. undeformed at order $λ$, while for each value of $r,t$ we are forced to have a fuzzy sphere of radius $r$ with a unique differential calculus which is…
