We introduce relative twisted homology and cohomology groups associated with Euler type integrals of solutions to Lauricella's system $F_D(a,b,c)$ of hypergeometric differential equations. We define an intersection form between relative twisted homology groups and that between relative twisted cohomology groups, and show their compatibility. We prove that the relative twisted homology group is canonically isomorphic to the space of local solutions to $F_D(a,b,c)$ for any parameters $a,b,c$. Through this isomorphism, we study $\cF_D(a,b,c)$ by the relative twisted homology and cohomology groups and the intersection forms without any conditions on $a,b,c$.
We study Lauricella's hypergeometric function F_C by using twisted (co)homology groups. We construct twisted cycles with respect to an Euler-type integral representation of F_C. These cycles correspond to 2^m linearly independent solutions to the system of differential equations annihilating F_C. Using intersection forms of twisted (co)homology groups, we obtain twisted period relations which give quadratic relations for Lauricella's F_C.
We give the monodromy representations of local systems of twisted homology groups associated with Lauricella's system $F_D(a,b,c)$ of hypergeometric differential equations under mild conditions on parameters. Our representation is effective even in some cases when the system $F_D(a,b,c)$ is reducible. We characterize invariant subspaces under our monodromy representations by the kernel or image of a natural map from a finite twisted homology group to locally finite one.
We give a Pfaffian system of differential equations annihilating Lauricella's hypergeometric series $F_A(a,b,c;x)$ of $m$-variables. This system is integrable of rank $2^m$. To express the connection form of this system, we make use of the intersection form of twisted cohomology groups with respect to integrals representing solutions of this system.
We study contiguity relations of Lauricella's hypergeometric function F_D, by using the twisted cohomology group and the intersection form. We derive contiguity relations from those in the twisted cohomology group and give the coefficients in these relations by the intersection numbers. Furthermore, we construct twisted cycles corresponding to a fundamental set of solutions to the system of differential equations satisfied by F_D, which are expressed as Laurent series. We also give the contiguity relations of these solutions.
We study the monodromy representation of the system $E_C$ of differential equations annihilating Lauricella's hypergeometric function $F_C$ of $m$ variables. Our representation space is the twisted homology group associated with an integral representation of $F_C$. We find generators of the fundamental group of the complement of the singular locus of $E_C$, and give some relations for these generators. We express the circuit transformations along these generators, by using the intersection forms defined on the twisted homology group and its dual.
By a theorem of Bernhard Keller the de Rham cohomology of a smooth variety is isomorphic to the periodic cyclic homology of the differential graded category of perfect complexes on the variety. Both the de Rham cohomology and the cyclic homology can be twisted by the exponential of a regular function on the variety. We explain that the isomorphism holds true in the twisted setting and draw some conclusions on derived invariance of the algebraic Gauss-Manin systems associated with regular functions.
The Riemann-Wirtinger integral is an analogue of the hypergeometric integral, which is defined as an integral on a one-dimensional complex torus. We study the intersection forms on the twisted homology and cohomology groups associated with the Riemann-Wirtinger integral. We derive explicit formulas of some intersection numbers, and apply them to study the monodromy representation, connection problems, and contiguity relations.
We study the Ext modules in the category of left modules over a twisted algebra of a finite quiver over a ringed space $(X,\mathcal O_X)$, allowing for the presence of relations. We introduce a spectral sequence which relates the Ext modules in that category with the Ext modules in the category of $\mathcal O_X$-modules. Contrary to what happens in the absence of relations, this spectral sequence in general does not degenerate at the second page. We also consider local Ext sheaves. Under suitable hypotheses, the Ext modules are represented as hypercohomology groups
We study the intersection numbers defined on twisted homology or cohomology groups that are associated with hypergeometric integrals corresponding to degenerate hyperplane arrangements in the projective $k$-space. We present formulas to evaluate the intersection numbers in the case when exactly one $(k+1)$-tuple of the hyperplanes intersects at a point. As an application, we discuss the contiguity relations of hypergeometric functions in terms of the intersection numbers on twisted cohomology groups.
Let X be a finite CW-complex, denote its fundamental group by G. Let R be an n-dimensional complex repesentation of G. Any element A of the first cohomology group of X with complex coefficients gives rise to the exponential deformation of the representation R, which can be considered as a curve in the space of representations. We show that the cohomology of X with local coefficients corresponding to the generic point of this curve is computable from a spectral sequence starting from the cohomology of X with R-twisted coefficients. We compute the differentials of the spectral sequence in terms …
There are a number of (co-)homology theories on coarse spaces. Controlled operator K-theory is by far the most popular one of them. Our approach is geometric. We study when does the Roe-algebra of a space restrict to a subspace. Then we show the Roe-algebra is a cosheaf on the coarse topology. A result is a Mayer-Vietoris exact sequence in the presence of a coarse cover. We compute examples as an application.
