We study phase ordering dynamics in the three-dimensional nearest-neighbor Ising model, following rapid quenches from infinite to zero temperature. Results on various aspects, viz., domain growth, persistence, aging and pattern, have been obtained via the Glauber Monte Carlo simulations of the model on simple cubic lattice. These are analyzed via state-of-the-art methods, including the finite-size scaling, and compared with those for quenches to a temperature above the roughening transition. Each of these properties exhibit remarkably different behavior at the above mentioned final temperatures. Such a temperature dependence is absent in the two-dimensional case for which there is no roughening transition.
In this present paper, the recurrence equations of an Ising model with three coupling constants on a third-order Cayley tree are obtained. Paramagnetic and ferromagnetic phases associated with the Ising model are characterized. Types of phases and partition functions corresponding to the model are rigorously studied. Exact solutions of the mentioned model are compared with the numerical results given in Ganikhodjaev et al. [J. Concr. Appl. Math., 2011, 9, No. 1, 26-34].
We present here the non-equilibrium dynamics of the recently studied quasiperiodic Ising model. The zero temperature phase diagram of this model mainly consists of three phases, where each of these three phases can have extended, localized or critically delocalized low energy excited states. We explore the nature of excitations in these different phases by studying the evolution of entanglement entropy after performing quenches of different strengths to different phases. Our results on non-equilibrium dynamics of entanglement entropy are concurrent with the nature of excitations discussed in R…
Ferromagnetic Ising spin systems on the growing random tree
For the inverse square long-range ferromagnetic Ising chain in a transverse field, the thermal phase boundary of the floating Kosterlitz-Thouless phase is obtained for several values of the transverse field down to the quantum critical point. The sharp domain walls in the classical model are increasingly smeared out by the transverse field, which is evidenced by a pronounced broadening of the non-universal bump in the specific heat. The discernability of KT critical scaling in finite-size simulations is discussed.
The spin-1/2 Ising-Heisenberg model on martini and martini-diced lattice is exactly solved using a star-triangle transformation, which affords an exact mapping correspondence to an effective spin-1/2 Ising model on a triangular lattice. The ground-state phase diagram of both investigated quantum spin models display two spontaneously ordered ferromagnetic phases and one macroscopically degenerate disordered phase. In contrast to a classical ferromagnetic phase where the spontaneous magnetization of the Ising as well as Heisenberg spins acquire fully saturated values the spontaneous magnetizatio…
While a large number of studies have focused on the nonequilibrium dynamics of a system when it is quenched instantaneously from a disordered phase to an ordered phase, such dynamics have been relatively less explored when the quench occurs at a finite rate. Here we study the slow quench dynamics in two paradigmatic models of classical statistical mechanics, {viz.}, one-dimensional kinetic Ising model and mean-field zero-range process, when the system is annealed slowly to the critical point. Starting from the time evolution equations for the spin-spin correlation function in the Ising model a…
Comparison of the ferromagnetic Blume-Emery-Griffiths model and the AF spin-1 longitudinal Ising model at low temperature
Magazz,J. of Mag. and Mag. Mat. {354}(2014)205]。我们探讨了在$T=0$相图的平等,与$\frac{K}{|J|} = -2$的铁磁BEG模型和自旋1 AF伊辛模型的$\frac{D}{|J|} > \frac{1}{2}$的影响。
A bipartite entanglement between two nearest-neighbor Heisenberg spins of a spin-1/2 Ising-Heisenberg model on a triangulated Husimi lattice is quantified using a concurrence. It is shown that the concurrence equals zero in a classical ferromagnetic and a quantum disordered phase, while it becomes sizable though unsaturated in a quantum ferromagnetic phase. A thermally-assisted reentrance of the concurrence is found above a classical ferromagnetic phase, whereas a quantum ferromagnetic phase displays a striking cusp of the concurrence at a critical temperature.
The standard phase-ordering process is obtained by quenching a system, like the Ising model, to below the critical point. This is usually done with periodic boundary conditions to insure ergodicity breaking in the low temperature phase. With this arrangement the infinite system is known to remain permanently out of equilibrium, i.e. there exists a well defined asymptotic state which is time-invariant but different from the ordered ferromagnetic state. In this paper we establish the critical nature of this invariant state, by demonstrating numerically that the quench dynamics with periodic and …
The $q$-neighbor Ising model is investigated on homogeneous random graphs with a fraction of edges associated randomly with antiferromagnetic exchange integrals and the remaining edges with ferromagnetic ones. It is a nonequilibrium model for the opinion formation in which the agents, represented by two-state spins, change their opinions according to a Metropolis-like algorithm taking into account interactions with only a randomly chosen subset of their $q$ neighbors. Depending on the model parameters in Monte Carlo simulations phase diagrams are observed with first-order ferromagmetic transit…
We discuss the finite-size scaling of the ferromagnetic Ising model on random regular graphs. These graphs are locally tree-like, and in the limit of large graphs, the Bethe approximation gives the exact free energy per site. In the thermodynamic limit, the Ising model on these graphs show a phase transition. This transition is rounded off for finite graphs. We verify the scaling theory prediction that this rounding off is described in terms of the scaling variable $[T/T_c -1] S^{1/2}$ (where $T$ and $T_c$ are the temperature and the critical temperature respectively, and $S$ is the number of …
We study from tempered Monte Carlo simulations the magnetic phase diagram of a textured dipolar Ising model on a face centered cubic lattice. The Ising coupling of the model follow the dipole-dipole interaction. The Ising axes are distributed with a uniaxial symmetry along the $\hat{z}$ direction with a gaussian probability density of the polar angles. This distribution provides a quenched disorder realization of the dipolar Ising model making a continuous link between the parallel axes dipoles and the random axes dipole models. As expected the phase diagram presents three distinctive phases: …
We numerically simulate the time evolution of the Ising field theory after quenches starting from the $E_8$ integrable model using the Truncated Conformal Space Approach. The results are compared with two different analytic predictions based on form factor expansions in the pre-quench and post-quench basis, respectively. Our results clarify the domain of validity of these expansions and suggest directions for further improvement. We show for quenches in the $E_8$ model that the initial state is not of the integrable pair state form. We also construct quench overlap functions and show that thei…
Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless phase transitions of the antiferromagnetic Ising model with ferromagnetic next-nearest-neighbor interactions on the kagome lattice
We extend to quenched disordered systems the variational scheme for real space renormalization group calculations that we recently introduced for homogeneous spin Hamiltonians. When disorder is present our approach gives access to the flow of the renormalized Hamiltonian distribution, from which one can compute the critical exponents if the correlations of the renormalized couplings retain finite range. Key to the variational approach is the bias potential found by minimizing a convex functional in statistical mechanics. This potential reduces dramatically the Monte Carlo relaxation time in la…
We consider the quantum quench dynamics of a Heisenberg-Ising spin ladder which is an archetypal model in which confinement of elementary excitations is triggered by internal interactions rather than an external field. We show that the confinement strongly affects the light cone structure of correlation functions providing signatures of the velocities of the mesons of the model. We also show that the meson masses can be measured from the real time analysis of the evolution of the order parameter.
We study analytically and numerically quench dynamics and defects formation in the quantum Ising model in the presence of a time-dependent transverse magnetic field. We generalize the Landau-Ziner formula to the case of non-adiabatic evolution of the quantum system. For a quasi-static magnetic field, with a slow dependence on time, our outcomes are similar to the results predicted by the Landau-Zener formula. However, a quench dynamics under a shock-wave load is more complicated. The final state of the system depends on the amplitude and pulse velocity, resulting in the mixture of ground and e…
