We characterize the symbolical dynamical systems which are topologically isomorphic to the Fibonacci dynmaical system. We prove that there are infinitely many injective primitive substitutions generating a dynamical system in the Fibonacci conjugacy class. In this class there are infinitely many dynamical systems not generated by a substitution. An example is the system generated by doubling the 0's in the infinite Fibonacci word.
The goal of this article is to study how combinatorial equivalence implies topological conjugacy. For that, we introduce the concept of kneading sequences for nonautonomous discrete dynamical systems and show that these sequences are a complete invariant for topological conjugacy classes.
In the present paper, we define the concept of weak topological conjugacy and we establish sufficient conditions to obtain this kind of topological conjugacy between two limit sets. We use the character of recurrence to obtain the results.

We consider in this paper a sequence of complex analytic functions constructed by the following procedure $f_n(z)=f_{n-1}(z)f_{n-2}(z)+c$, where $c\in\C$ is a parameter. Our aim is to give a thorough dynamical study of this family, in particular we are able to extend the familiar notions of Julia sets and Green function and to analyze their properties. As a consequence, we extend some well-known results. Finally we study in detail the case where $c$ is small.
Primitive constant length substitutions generate minimal symbolic dynamical systems. In this article we present an algorithm which can produce the list of injective substitutions of the same length that generate topologically conjugate systems. We show that each conjugacy class contains infinitely substitutions which are not injective. As examples, the Toeplitz conjugacy class contains three injective substitutions (two on two symbols and one on three symbols), and the length two Thue-Morse conjugacy class contains twelve substitutions, among which are two on six symbols. Together, they consti…
In this paper we consider the sequence of Kakutani's $α$-refinements corresponding to the inverse of golden ratio (which we call Kakutani-Fibonacci sequence of partitions) and associate to it an ergodic interval exchange (which we call Kakutani-Fibonacci transformation) using the "cutting-stacking" technique. We prove that the orbit of the origin under this map coincides with a low discrepancy sequence (which we call Kakutani-Fibonacci sequence of points), which has been also considered by other authors.
We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for a dynamical system to be topologically conjugate to the Morse minimal set, the shift orbit closure of the Morse sequence, and conditions for topological conjugacy to the closely related Teoplitz minimal set.
We study dynamical properties of the Fibonacci trace map - a polynomial map that is related to numerous problems in geometry, algebra, analysis, mathematical physics, and number theory. Persistent homoclinic tangencies, stochastic sea of full Hausdorff dimension, infinitely many elliptic islands - all the conservative Newhouse phenomena are obtained for many values of the Fricke-Vogt invariant. The map has all the essential properties that were obtained previously for the Taylor-Chirikov standard map, and can be suggested as another candidate for the simplest conservative system with highly no…
The aim of this paper is to give a condition to topological conjugacy of invariant flows in an Lie group $G$ which its Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ is associative algebra or semisimple. In fact, we show that if two dynamical system on $G$ are hyperbolic, then they are topological conjugate.
In this paper, we introduce a new class of dynamical systems on a coarse space with coarse time called, coarse dynamical system. The notion of coarse conjugacy is studied from coarse geometry point of view. Coarse orbits as invariant sets under coarse conjugacy are deduced. It is Shown that the coproduct of two coarse dynamical systems is a coarse dynamical system. Finally, we define set value coarse dynamical systems and prove if two coarse dynamical systems are coarse conjugate, then their corresponding set value coarse dynamical systems are coarse conjugate
We consider the spectrum of the Fibonacci Hamiltonian for small values of the coupling constant. It is known that this set is a Cantor set of zero Lebesgue measure. Here we study the limit, as the value of the coupling constant approaches zero, of its thickness and its Hausdorff dimension. We prove that the thickness tends to infinity and, consequently, the Hausdorff dimension of the spectrum tends to one. We also show that at small coupling, all gaps allowed by the gap labeling theorem are open and the length of every gap tends to zero linearly. Moreover, for sufficiently small coupling, the …
Given a dynamical simplex $K$ on a Cantor space $X$, we consider the set $G_K^*$ of all homeomorphisms of $X$ which preserve all elements of $K$ and have no nontrivial clopen invariant subset. Generalising a theorem of Yingst, we prove that for a generic element $g$ of $G_K^*$ the set of invariant measures of $g$ is equal to $K$. We also investigate when there exists a generic conjugacy class in $G_K^*$ and prove that this happens exactly when $K$ has only one element, which is the unique invariant measure associated to some odometer; and that in that case the conjugacy class of this odometer …
How can we interpret the infimum of Lipschitz constants in a conjugacy class of interval maps? For positive entropy maps, the exponential of the topological entropy gives a well-known lower bound. We show that for piecewise monotone interval maps as well as for $C^{\infty}$ interval maps, these two quantities are equal, but for countably piecewise monotone maps, the inequality can be strict. Moreover, in the topologically mixing and Markov case, we characterize the infimum of Lipschitz constants as the exponential of the Salama entropy of a certain reverse Markov chain associated with the map.…
We investigate numerically complex dynamical systems where a fixed point is surrounded by a disk or ball of quasiperiodic orbits, where there is a change of variables (or conjugacy) that converts the system into a linear map. We compute this "linearization" (or conjugacy) from knowledge of a single quasiperiodic trajectory. In our computations of rotation rates of the almost periodic orbits and Fourier coefficients of the conjugacy, we only use knowledge of a trajectory, and we do not assume knowledge of the explicit form of a dynamical system. This problem is called the Babylonian Problem: de…
In the first part of this paper, we propose new optimization-based methods for the computation of preferred (dense, sparse, reversible, detailed and complex balanced) linearly conjugate reaction network structures with mass action dynamics. The developed methods are extensions of previously published results on dynamically equivalent reaction networks and are based on mixed-integer linear programming. As related theoretical contributions we show that (i) dense linearly conjugate networks define a unique super-structure for any positive diagonal state transformation if the set of chemical compl…
We study the complexity of the classification problem of conjugacy on dynamical systems on some compact metrizable spaces. Especially we prove that the conjugacy equivalence relation of interval dynamical systems is Borel bireducible to isomorphism equivalence relation of countable graphs. This solves a special case of the Hjorth's conjecture which states that every orbit equivalence relation induced by a continuous action of the group of all homeomorphisms of the closed unit interval is classifiable by countable structures. We also prove that conjugacy equivalence relation of Hilbert cube hom…
Recently a new class of critical points, termed as {\sl perpetual points}, where acceleration becomes zero but the velocity remains non-zero, is observed in nonlinear dynamical systems. In this work we show whether a transformation also maps the perpetual points to another system or not. We establish mathematically that a linearly transformed system is topologicaly conjugate, and hence does map the perpetual points. However, for a nonlinear transformation, various other possibilities are also discussed. It is noticed that under a linear diffeomorphic transformation, perpetual points are mapped…

The celebrated Takens' embedding theorem concerns embedding an attractor of a dynamical system in a Euclidean space of appropriate dimension through a generic delay-observation map. The embedding also establishes a topological conjugacy. In this paper, we show how an arbitrary sequence can be mapped into another space as an attractive solution of a nonautonomous dynamical system. Such mapping also entails a topological conjugacy and an embedding between the sequence and the attractive solution spaces. This result is not a generalization of Takens embedding theorem but helps us understand what …
Let $K$ be an algebraically closed field of characteristic $0$. In this paper we classify the $\text{PGL}_3(K)$-conjugacy classes of semi-stable dominant degree $2$ rational maps $f:{\mathbb P}^2_K\dashrightarrow{\mathbb P}^2_K$ whose automorphism group $$\text{Aut}(f):=\{ϕ\in\text{PGL}_3(K): ϕ^{-1}\circ f\circϕ=f\}$$ is finite and of order at least $3$. In particular, we prove that $\#\text{Aut}(f)\le24$ in general, that $\#\text{Aut}(f)\le21$ for morphisms, and that $\#\text{Aut}(f)\le6$ for all but finitely many conjugacy classes of $f$.
Quadratic automorphisms of $\mathbb C^3$ are classified up to affine conjugacy into seven classes by Forn$æ$ss and Wu. Five of them contain irregular maps with interesting dynamics. In this paper, we focus on the maps in the fifth class and make some dynamical estimates for these maps.
We study the projection $π: M_d \to B_d$ which sends an affine conjugacy class of polynomial $f: \mathbb{C}\to\mathbb{C}$ to the holomorphic conjugacy class of the restriction of $f$ to its basin of infinity. When $B_d$ is equipped with a dynamically natural Gromov-Hausdorff topology, the map $π$ becomes continuous and a homeomorphism on the shift locus. Our main result is that all fibers of $π$ are connected. Consequently, quasiconformal and topological basin-of-infinity conjugacy classes are also connected. The key ingredient in the proof is an analysis of model surfaces and model maps, bran…
We consider the general model for dynamical systems defined on a simplicial complex. We describe the conjugacy classes of these systems and show how symmetries in a given simplicial complex manifest in the dynamics defined thereon, especially with regard to invariant subspaces in the dynamics.
We consider tiling dynamical systems and topological conjugacies between them. We prove that the criterion of being finite type is invariant under topological conjugacy. For substitution tiling systems under rather general conditions, including the Penrose and pinwheel systems, we show that substitutions are invertible and that conjugacies are generalized sliding block codes.
Let $\tilde f\colon(S^2,\tilde A)\to(S^2,\tilde A)$ be a Thurston map and let $M(\tilde f)$ be its mapping class biset: isotopy classes rel $\tilde A$ of maps obtained by pre- and post-composing $\tilde f$ by the mapping class group of $(S^2,\tilde A)$. Let $A\subseteq\tilde A$ be an $\tilde f$-invariant subset, and let $f\colon(S^2,A)\to(S^2,A)$ be the induced map. We give an analogue of the Birman short exact sequence: just as the mapping class group $\mathrm{Mod}(S^2,\tilde A)$ is an iterated extension of $\mathrm{Mod}(S^2,A)$ by fundamental groups of punctured spheres, $M(\tilde f)$ is an …
Differentiable conjugacies link dynamical systems that share properties such as the stability multipliers of corresponding orbits. It provides a stronger classification than topological conjugacy, which only requires qualitative similarity. We describe some of the techniques and recent results that allow differentiable conjugacies to be defined for standard bifurcations, and explain how this leads to a new class of normal forms. Closed-form expressions for differentiable conjugacies exist between some chaotic maps, and we describe some of the constraints that make it possible to recognise when…
Knots naturally appear in continuous dynamical systems as flow periodic trajectories. However, discrete dynamical systems are also closely connected with the theory of knots and links. For example, for Pixton diffeomorphisms, the equivalence class of the Hopf knot, which is the orbit space of the unstable saddle separatrix in the manifold $\mathbb{S}^2\times \mathbb{S}^1$, is a complete invariant of the topological conjugacy of the system. In this paper we distinguish a class of three-dimensional Morse-Smale diffeomorphisms for which the complete invariant of topological conjugacy is the equiv…
