In this paper, we aimed at constructing a two-variable Coleman map for a given $p$-adic family of eigen cuspforms with a fixed non-zero slope (Coleman family). A Coleman map is a machinary which transforms a hypothetical $p$-adic family of zeta elements to a $p$-adic $L$-function. The result would be a non-ordinary generalization of a two-variable Coleman map for a given Hida deformation obtained by the second-named author.
For a given Coleman family of modular forms, we construct a formal modeland prove the existence of a family of Galois representations associated to the Colemanfamily. As an application, we study the variations of Iwasawa $λ$- and $μ$-invariants of dualfine (strict) Selmer groups over the cyclotomic Zp-extension of Q in Coleman families ofmodular forms. This generalizes an earlier work of Jha and Sujatha for Hida families.
We construct two-parameter analytic families of Galois cohomology classes interpolating the etale Abel--Jacobi images of generalised Heegner cycles, with both the modular form and Grossencharacter varying in p-adic families.
We show that the Euler system associated to Rankin--Selberg convolutions of modular forms, introduced in our earlier works with Lei and Kings, varies analytically as the modular forms vary in $p$-adic Coleman families. We prove an explicit reciprocity law for these families, and use this to prove cases of the Bloch--Kato conjecture for Rankin--Selberg convolutions.
In this article, we discuss Iwasawa Main Conjecture for $p$-adic families of elliptic modular cuspforms. After the overview on the situation of the ordinary case of Hida family, we will introduce a Coleman map for Coleman family for the non-ordinary case (Coleman family) which was obtained as a joint work with Filippo Nuccio [NO16] and we give some results on Iwasawa Theory for Coleman families as applications of . First, we give a construction of a two-variable $p$-adic $L$-function for a Coleman family thanks to the ingredients given in [NO16] (Theorem 5.1). Combining this result and Coleman…
Kobayashi recently proved that the generalized Heegner cycles of Bertolini--Darmon--Prasanna can be interpolated along the anticyclotomic tower, giving rise to distribution valued cohomology classes with expected growth rate. We interpolate these classes along Coleman families. This construction plays a role in the proofs of $p$-adic Gross--Zagier formulae at for non-ordinary eigenforms and consequentially, also in the proof of a conjecture of Perrin-Riou.
Given an elliptic curve with supersingular reduction at an odd prime p, Iovita and Pollack have generalised results of Kobayashi to define even and odd Coleman maps at p over Lubin-Tate extensions given by a formal group of height 1. We generalise this construction to modular forms of higher weights.
We discuss modular forms as objects of computer algebra and as elements of certain p-adic Banach modules. Problem-solving approach in number theory is discussed which is based on the use of generating functions and their links with modular forms. In particular, the critical values of various L-functions of modular forms produce non-trivial but computable solutions of arithmetical problems. Namely, for a prime number $p\ge 5$, we consider three classical cusp eigenforms $$f_j(z)=\sum_{n=1}^\infty a_{n,j}e(nz)\in \Sr_{k_j}(N_j, ψ_j),\ (j=1, 2,3)$$ of weights k_1, k_2, k_3, of conductors N_1, N_2…
This paper is a sequel to our earlier paper "Wach modules and Iwasawa theory for modular forms" (arXiv: 0912.1263), where we defined a family of Coleman maps for a crystalline representation of the Galois group of Qp with nonnegative Hodge-Tate weights. In this paper, we study these Coleman maps using Perrin-Riou's p-adic regulator L_V. Denote by H(Γ) the algebra of Qp-valued distributions on Γ= Gal(Qp(μ(p^\infty) / Qp). Our first result determines the H(Γ)-elementary divisors of the quotient of D_{cris}(V) \otimes H(Γ) by the H(Γ)-submodule generated by (ϕ* N(V))^{ψ= 0}, where N(V) is the Wac…
Nearly higher Coleman theory and p-adic L-functions for $\mathrm{GSp}(4) \times \mathrm{GL}(2)$ and $\mathrm{GSp}(4) \times \mathrm{GL}(2) \times \mathrm{GL}(2)$
For a prime number $p\ge 5$, we consider three classical cusp eigenforms $f_j(z)$ of weights $k_1, k_2, k_3$, of conductors $N_1, N_2, N_3$, and of nebentypus characters $ψ_j \bmod N_j$. According to H.Hida and R.Coleman, one can include each $f_j$ into a {$p$-adic analytic family} $k_j \mapsto \{f_{j,k_j}\}$ of cusp eigenforms $f_{j,k_j}$ of weights $k_j$ in such a way that $f_{j,k_j}=f_j$, and that all their Fourier coefficients $a_n(f_{j, k_j})$ are given by certain $p$-adic analytic functions $k_j{}\mapsto a_{n, j}(k_j{})$. The purpose of this paper is to describe a four variable $p$-adic …
We prove the global triangulation conjecture for families of refined p-adic representations under a mild condition. That is, for a refined family, the associated family of (phi, Gamma)-modules admits a global triangulation on a Zariski open and dense subspace of the base that contains all regular non-critical points. We also determine a large class of points which belongs to the locus of global triangulation. Furthermore, we prove that all the specializations of a refined family are trianguline. In the case of the Coleman-Mazur eigencurve, our results provide the key ingredient for showing its…
In this preprint we prove that any finite slope modular form fits into a p-adic family of modular forms which is indexed by the weight. Here, the term p-adic family means that p-adic congruences between weights entail certain p-adic congruences between the corresponding modular forms. We also show that the dimension of the slope subspace of the space of modular forms does not depend on the weight. Both statements are predicted by the Mazur-Gouvea Conjecture, which has been proven by Coleman using methods from rigid analytic geometry. In contrast our proof is based on a comparison of (topologic…
We p-adically interpolate the relative de Rham cohomology of the universal elliptic curve over strict neighbourhoods of the ordinary locus of modular curves, together with the Hodge filtration and Gauss-Manin connection. Sections of these sheaves provide the so called nearly overconvergent modular forms. This extends previous work of Andreatta, Iovita and Pilloni where we p-adically interpolate powers of the Hodge bundle and in that case the sections coincide with Coleman overconvergent modular forms. We also show that, under suitable assumptions, one can p-adically interpolate the Gauss-Manin…
We prove the finiteness and compatibility with base change of the (phi,Gamma)-cohomology and the Iwasawa cohomology of arithmetic families of (phi,Gamma)-modules. Using this finiteness theorem, we show that a family of Galois representations that is densely pointwise refined in the sense of Mazur is actually trianguline as a family over a large subspace. In the case of the Coleman-Mazur eigencurve, we determine the behavior at all points.
Let $f_{\mathrm{new}}$ be a classical newform of weight $\geq 2$ and prime to $p$ level. We study the arithmetic of $f_{\mathrm{new}}$ and its unique $p$-stabilisation $f$ when $f_{\mathrm{new}}$ is $p$-irregular, that is, when its Hecke polynomial at $p$ admits a single repeated root. In particular, we study $p$-adic weight families through $f$ and its base-change to an imaginary quadratic field $F$ where $p$ splits, and prove that the respective eigencurves are both Gorenstein at $f$. We use this to construct a two-variable $p$-adic $L$-function over a Coleman family through $f$, and a three…
The goal of this paper is to construct the p-adic analytic family of overconvergent half-integral weight modular forms using Hecke-equivariant overconvergent Shintani lifting. The classical Shintani map is the Hecke-equivariant map from the space of cusp forms of integral weight to the space of cusp forms of half-integral weight. Glenn Stevens proved in [St1] that there is Lamda-adic lifting of this map to the Hida family of ordinary cusp forms of integral weight and consequently constructed Lamda-adic modular eigen form of half-integral weight. The natural thing to do is generalizing his resu…
The eigencurve is a powerful tool introduced by Coleman and Mazur to study $p$-adic families of overconvergent modular forms. In this article, we introduce an analogous set of tools for understanding families of "overconvergent" $p$-adic representations of $π_1(X)$, where $X$ is a smooth affine variety over a finite field of characteristic $p$. Our main theorem is a trace formula relating the $L$-function of such a family to the geometry of a sequence of associated eigenvarieties. In the case of a single $p$-adic representation, our result reduces to the well known trace formula of Monsky. We …
In this paper, we study the Iwasawa theory of a motive whose Hodge-Tate weights are $0$ or $1$ (thence in practice, of a motive associated to an abelian variety) at a non-ordinary prime, over the cyclotomic tower of a number field that is either totally real or CM. In particular, under certain technical assumptions, we construct Sprung-type Coleman maps on the local Iwasawa cohomology groups and use them to define integral $p$-adic $L$-functions and (one unconditionally and other conjecturally) cotorsion Selmer groups. This allows us to reformulate Perrin-Riou's main conjecture in terms of the…
Silverman proved a height inequality for jointly regular family of rational maps and the author improved it for jointly regular pairs. In this paper, we provide the same improvement for jointly regular family; if S is a jointly regular set of rational maps, then \sum_{f\in S} \dfrac{1}{°f} h\bigl(f(P) \bigr) > (1+ \dfrac{1}{r}) f(P) - C where r = \max_{f\in S} r(f).
We study the unipotent Albanese map appearing in the non-abelian Chabauty method of Minhyong Kim. In particular we explore the explicit computation of the $p$-adic de Rham period map $j^{dr}_n$ on elliptic and hyperelliptic curves over number fields via their universal unipotent connections $\mathcal{U}$. Several algorithms forming part of the computation of finite level versions $j^{dr}_n$ of the unipotent Albanese maps are presented. The computation of the logarithmic extension of $\mathcal{U}$ in general requires a description in terms of an open covering, and can be regarded as a simple ex…
In this paper we study arithmetic properties of a one-parameter family ${\mathbf H}$ of Hénon maps over the affine line. Given a family of initial points ${\mathbf P}$ satisfying a natural condition, we show the height function $h_{\mathbf P}$ associated to ${\mathbf H}$ and ${\mathbf P}$ is the restriction of the height function associated to a semipositive adelically metrized line bundle on projective line. We then show various local properties of $h_{\mathbf P}$. Next we consider the set $Σ({\mathbf P})$ consisting of periodic parameter values, and study when $Σ({\mathbf P})$ is an infinite…
Let X be a smooth curve defined over the algebraic numbers, let a,b be algebraic numbers, and let f_l(x) be an algebraic family of rational maps indexed by all l in X. We study whether there exist infinitely many l in X such that both a and b are preperiodic for f_l. In particular we show that if P,Q are polynomials over the algebraic numbers such that deg(P) >= 2+deg(Q), and there exists l such that a is periodic for P(x)/Q(x) + l, but b is not preperiodic for P(x)/Q(x) + l, then there exist at most finitely many l such that both a and b are preperiodic for P(x)/Q(x)+l. We also prove a simila…
The classical (m,k)-Landen transform F_{m,k} is a self-map of the field of rational functions C(z) obtained by forming a weighted average of a rational function over twists by m'th roots of unity. Identifying the set of rational maps of degree d with an affine open subset of P^{2d+1}, we prove that F_{m,0} induces a dominant rational self-map R_{d,m,0} of P^{2d+1} of algebraic degree m, and for 0 < k < m, the transform F_{m,k} induces a dominant rational self-map R_{d,m,k} of algebraic degree m of a certain hyperplane in P^{2d+1}. We show in all cases that R_{d,m,k} extends nicely to a map of …
