This paper focuses on controllability results of stochastic delay partial functional integro-differential equations perturbed by fractional Brownian motion. Sufficient conditions are established using the theory of resolvent operators combined with a fixed point approach for achieving the required result. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.
In this article we investigate the controllability for neutral stochastic functional integro-differential equations with finite delay, driven by a fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter lesser than $1/2$ in a Hilbert space. We employ the theory of resolvent operators combined with the Banach fixed point theorem to establish sufficient conditions to prove the desired result
This paper deals with the well posedness of an integrodifferential equation that describes a vortex filament associated to a 3D turbulent fluid flow. This equation is driven by a fractional Brownian motion of Hurst parameter H>1/2. We prove global existence and uniqueness of solutions in a functional space of Sobolev type.
In this paper, we are concerned with the numerical solution of one type integro-differential equation by a probability method based on the fundamental martingale of mixed Gaussian processes. As an application, we will try to simulate the estimation of ruin probability with an unknown parameter driven not by the classical Lévy process but by the mixed fractional Brownian motion.
In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of mild solution for a stochastic neutral partial functional integro-differential equation with delay in a Hilbert space driven by a fractional Brownian motion and with non-deterministic diffusion coefficient. We suppose that the linear part has a resolvent operator. We also establish a sufficient condition for the existence of the density of a function of the solution. An example is provided to illustrate the results of this work
In this paper we study the controllability results of impulsive neutral stochastic functional differential equations with infinite delay driven by fractional Brownian motion in a real separable Hilbert space. The controllability results are obtained using stochastic analysis and a fixed-point strategy. Finally, an illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical result.

In this paper we consider the controllability of certain class of non-autonomous neutral evolution stochastic functional differential equations, with time varying delays, driven by a fractional Brownian motion in a separable real Hilbert space. Sufficient conditions for controllability are obtained by employing a fixed point approach. A practical example is provided to illustrate the viability of the abstract result of this work.
We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for equivalence of law for linear stochastic evolution equations driven by a general Gaussian noise by identifying the suitable space of controls for the corresponding deterministic control problem. This result is applied to semilinear (reaction-diffusion) equations driven by a fractional Brownian motion. We establish the equivalence of continuous dependence of laws of solutions to semilinear equations on the initial datum in the topology of pointwise convergence of measures and null controllability for the corresponding deterministic control probl…
In this article integro-differential Volterra equations whose convolution kernel depends on the vector variable are considered and a connection of these equations with a class of semi-Markov processes is established. The variable order $α(x)$-fractional diffusion equation is a particular case of our analysis and it turns out that it is associated with a suitable (non-independent) time-change of the Brownian motion. The resulting process is semi-Markovian and its paths have intervals of constancy, as it happens for the delayed Brownian motion, suitable to model trapping effects induced by the m…
We study spectral problems for integro-differential equations arising in the theory of Gaussian processes similar to the fractional Brownian motion. We generalize the method of Chigansky--Kleptsyna and obtain the two-term eigenvalue asymptotics for such equations. Application to the small ball probabilities in $L_2$-norm is given.
We study the regularity properties of integro-partial differential equations of Hamilton-Jocobi-Bellman type with terminal condition, which can be interpreted through a stochastic control system, composed of a forward and a backward stochastic differential equation, both driven by a Brownian motion and a compensated Poisson random measure. More precisely, we prove that, under appropriate assumptions, the viscosity solution of such equations is jointly Lipschitz and jointly semiconcave in $(t,x)\inΔ\times\R^d$, for all compact time intervals $Δ$ excluding the terminal time. Our approach is base…
In this paper, we establish an oscillation estimate of nonnegative harmonic functions for a pure-jump subordinate Brownian motion. The infinitesimal generator of such subordinate Brownian motion is an integro-differential operator. As an application, we give a probabilistic proof of the following form of relative Fatou theorem for such subordinate Brownian motion X in bounded kappa-fat open set; if u is a positive harmonic function with respect to X in a bounded kappa-fat open set D and h is a positive harmonic function in D vanishing on D^c, then the non-tangential limit of u/h exists almost …
In this article, the path independent property of additive functionals of McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations with jumps is characterised by nonlinear partial integro-differential equations involving $L$-derivatives with respect to probability measures introduced by P.-L. Lions. Our result extends the recent work [16] by Ren and Wang where their concerned McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations are driven by Brownian motions.
In this article, we study the controllability issues of the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert Equations (LLGEs), accompanied with non-zero exchange energy only, in an interval in one spatial dimension with Neumann boundary conditions. The paper is of twofold. In the first part of the paper, we study the controllability issues of the LLGEs. The control force acting here is degenerate i.e., it acts through a few numbers of low mode frequencies. We exploit the Fourier series expansion of the solution. We borrow methods of differential geometric control theory (Lie bracket generating property) to establish …
We provide sharp error bounds for the difference between the transition densities of some multidimensional Continuous Time Markov Chains (CTMC) and the fundamental solutions of some fractional in time Partial (Integro) Differential Equations (P(I)DEs). Namely, we consider equations involving a time fractional derivative of Caputo type and a spatial operator corresponding to the generator of a non degenerate Brownian or stable driven Stochastic Differential Equation (SDE).
We consider a stochastic Volterra integral equation with regular path-dependent coefficients and a Brownian motion as integrator in a multidimensional setting. Under an imposed absolute continuity condition, the unique solution is a semimartingale that admits almost surely Hölder continuous paths. Based on functional Itô calculus, we prove that the support of its law in the Hölder norm can be described by a flow of mild solutions to ordinary integro-differential equations that are constructed by means of the vertical derivative of the diffusion coefficient.
In this paper we present a general mathematical construction that allows us to define a parametric class of $H$-sssi stochastic processes (self-similar with stationary increments), which have marginal probability density function that evolves in time according to a partial integro-differential equation of fractional type. This construction is based on the theory of finite measures on functional spaces. Since the variance evolves in time as a power function, these $H$-sssi processes naturally provide models for slow and fast anomalous diffusion. Such a class includes, as particular cases, fract…
The study deals with the ruin problem when an insurance company having two business branches, life insurance and non-life insurance, invests its reserve into a risky asset with the price dynamics given by a geometric Brownian motion. We prove a result on smoothness of the ruin probability as a function of the initial capital and obtain for it an integro-differential equation understood in the classical sense. For the case of exponentially distributed jumps we show that the survival probability is a solution of an ordinary differential equation of the 4th order. Asymptotic analysis of the latte…
We study the regularity of solutions to the integro-differential equation $Af-λf=g$ associated with the infinitesimal generator $A$ of a Lévy process. We show that gradient estimates for the transition density can be used to derive Schauder estimates for $f$. Our main result allows us to establish Schauder estimates for a wide class of Lévy generators, including generators of stable Lévy processes and subordinate Brownian motions. Moreover, we obtain new insights on the (domain of the) infinitesimal generator of a Lévy process whose characteristic exponent $ψ$ satisfies $\text{Re} \, ψ(ξ) \asy…
We study the local regularity of solutions $f$ to the integro-differential equation $$ Af=g \quad \text{in $U$}$$ associated with the infinitesimal generator $A$ of a Lévy process $(X_t)_{t \geq 0}$. Under the assumption that the transition density of $(X_t)_{t \geq 0}$ satisfies a certain gradient estimate, we establish interior Schauder estimates for both pointwise and weak solutions $f$. Our results apply for a wide class of Lévy generators, including generators of stable Lévy processes and subordinated Brownian motions.
In this paper we study general nonlinear stochastic differential equations, where the usual Brownian motion is replaced by a Lévy process. We also suppose that the coefficient multiplying the increments of this process is merely Lipschitz continuous and not necessarily linear in the time-marginals of the solution as is the case in the classical McKean-Vlasov model. We first study existence, uniqueness and particle approximations for these stochastic differential equations. When the driving process is a pure jump Lévy process with a smooth but unbounded Lévy measure, we develop a stochastic cal…
The challenge to fruitfully merge state-of-the-art techniques from mathematical finance and numerical analysis has inspired researchers to develop fast deterministic option pricing methods. As a result, highly efficient algorithms to compute option prices in Lévy models by solving partial integro differential equations have been developed. In order to provide a solid mathematical foundation for these methods, we derive a Feynman-Kac representation of variational solutions to partial integro differential equations that characterize conditional expectations of functionals of killed time-inhomoge…
We study the forward investment performance process (FIPP) in an incomplete semimartingale market model with closed and convex portfolio constraints, when the investor's risk preferences are of the power form. We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the construction of such a performance process, and show that it can be recovered as the unique solution of an infinite horizon quadratic backward stochastic differential equation (BSDE) with a nonmonotone driver. In an integrated stochastic factor model, we relate the factor representation of the BSDE solution to the smooth solution of …
Semilinear, $N-$dimensional stochastic differential equations (SDEs) driven by additive Lévy noise are investigated. Specifically, given $α\in\left(\frac{1}{2},1\right)$, the interest is on SDEs driven by $2α-$stable, rotation-invariant processes obtained by subordination of a Brownian motion. An original connection between the time-dependent Markov transition semigroup associated with their solutions and Kolmogorov backward equations in mild integral form is established via regularization-by-noise techniques. Such a link is the starting point for an iterative method which allows to approximat…
We consider a general class of integro-differential evolution equations which includes the governing equation of the generalized grey Brownian motion and the time- and space-fractional heat equation. We present a general relation between the parameters of the equation and the distribution of the underlying stochastic processes, as well as discuss different classes of processes providing stochastic solutions of these equations. For a subclass of evolution equations, containing Saigo-Maeda generalized time-fractional operators, we determine the parameters of the corresponding processes explicitl…
We consider differential equations driven by rough paths and study the regularity of the laws and their long time behavior. In particular, we focus on the case when the driving noise is a rough path valued fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter $H\in(\frac{1}{3},\frac{1}{2}]$. Our contribution in this work is twofold. First, when the driving vector fields satisfy Hörmander's celebrated "Lie bracket condition," we derive explicit quantitative bounds on the inverse of the Malliavin matrix. En route to this, we provide a novel "deterministic" version of Norris's lemma for differential eq…
We consider a general class of stochastic optimal control problems, where the state process lives in a real separable Hilbert space and is driven by a cylindrical Brownian motion and a Poisson random measure; no special structure is imposed on the coefficients, which are also allowed to be path-dependent; in addition, the diffusion coefficient can be degenerate. For such a class of stochastic control problems, we prove, by means of purely probabilistic techniques based on the so-called randomization method, that the value of the control problem admits a probabilistic representation formula (kn…
The classical state-space approach to optimal estimation of stochastic processes is efficient when the driving noises are generated by martingales. In particular, the weight function of the optimal linear filter, which solves a complicated operator equation in general, simplifies to the Riccati ordinary differential equation in the martingale case. This reduction lies in the foundations of the Kalman-Bucy approach to linear optimal filtering. In this paper we consider a basic Kalman-Bucy model with noises, generated by independent fractional Brownian motions, and develop a new method of asympt…
In this paper we study a parametric class of stochastic processes to model both fast and slow anomalous diffusion. This class, called generalized grey Brownian motion (ggBm), is made up off self-similar with stationary increments processes (H-sssi) and depends on two real parameters alpha in (0,2) and beta in (0,1]. It includes fractional Brownian motion when alpha in (0,2) and beta=1, and time-fractional diffusion stochastic processes when alpha=beta in (0,1). The latters have marginal probability density function governed by time-fractional diffusion equations of order beta. The ggBm is defi…
We establish exact, dimension-dependent, spatio-temporal, uniform and local moduli of continuity for (1) the fourth order L-Kuramoto-Sivashinsky (L-KS) SPDEs and for (2) the time-fractional stochastic partial integro-differential equations (SPIDEs), driven by space-time white noise in one-to-three dimensional space. Both classes were introduced---with Brownian-time-type kernel formulations---by Allouba in a series of articles starting in 2006, where he presented class (2) in its rigorous stochastic integral equations form. He proved existence, uniqueness, and sharp spatio-temporal Hölder regul…
