If the $X(3872)$ is described by the picture as a mixture of the charmonium and molecular $D^{\ast} D$ states; $Y(3940)$ as a mixture of the $χ_{c0}$ and $D^\ast D^\ast$ states; and $X(4260)$ as a mixture of the tetra-quark and charmonium sates, their orthogonal combinations should also exist. We estimate the mass and residues of the states within the QCD sum rules method. We find that the mass splitting among $X$, $Y$ and their orthogonal states is at most $200MeV$. Experimental search of these new states can play critical role for establishing the nature of the new charmonium states.
The charmonium mass spectrum is considered in the framework of the constituent quark model with the relativistic treatment of the c quark. The obtained masses are in good agreement with the existing experimental data including the mass of eta_c(2S).
Axial vector $(J^{PC}=1^{++})$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses are determined via QCD Laplace sum-rules. Previous sum-rule studies in this channel did not incorporate the dimension-six gluon condensate, which has been shown to be important for $1^{--}$ and $0^{-+}$ heavy quark hybrids. An updated analysis of axial vector charmonium and bottomonium hybrids is presented, including the effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate. The axial vector charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses are predicted to be 5.13 GeV and 11.32 GeV, respectively. We discuss the implications of this result…
Lorentz scalar and mass interactions are studied in more detail in the framework of a reduced Dirac equation for heavy quark-antiquark mesons. A microscopic model for these interactions is proposed and analyzed. The charmonium mass spectrum is reproduced by means of two free parameters; a third parameter is fixed by means of a phenomenological hypothesis in accordance with the model.
Masses of the pseudoscalar $(J^{PC}=0^{-+})$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrids are determined using QCD Laplace sum-rules. The effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate are included in our analysis and result in a stable sum-rule analysis, whereas previous studies of these states were unable to optimize mass predictions. The pseudoscalar charmonium hybrid is predicted to have a mass of approximately 3.8 GeV and the corresponding bottomonium prediction is 10.6 GeV. Calculating the full correlation function, rather than only the imaginary part, is shown to be necessary for accurate formulat…
In this paper we have solved the nonrelativistic form of the Lippmann-Schwinger equation in the momentum-helicity space by inserting a spin-dependent quark-antiquark potential model numerically. To this end, we have used the momentum-helicity basis states for describing a nonrelativistic reduction of one gluon exchange potential. Then we have calculated the mass spectrum of the charmonium $ψ(c\bar{c})$, and finally we have compared the results with the another theoretical results and experimental data.
The masses of the low lying charmonium states, namely, the $J/Ψ$, $Ψ(3686)$, and $Ψ(3770)$ are shifted downwards due to the second order Stark effect. In $\bar p + \text{Au}$ collisions at $6-10$ GeV we study their in\,-\,medium propagation. The time evolution of the spectral functions of these charmonium states is studied with a Boltzmann\,-\,Uehling\,-\,Uhlenbeck (BUU) type transport model. We show that their in\,-\,medium mass shift can be observed in the dilepton spectrum. Therefore, by observing the dileptonic decay channel of these low lying charmonium states, especially for $Ψ(3686)$, w…
In this work, the charm quark mass is obtained from a QCD sum rule analysis of the charmonium system. In our investigation we include results from nonrelativistic QCD at next-to-next-to-leading order. Using the pole mass scheme, we obtain a value of $M_c=1.70\pm 0.13$ GeV for the charm pole mass. The introduction of a potential-subtracted mass leads to an improved scale dependence. The running ${\rm \bar{MS}}$-mass is then determined to be $m_c(m_c) = 1.23 \pm 0.09$ GeV.
In this paper, we performed a coupled-channel calculation and evaluated the mass shifts for all $1S$, $2S$, $1P$, $2P$ and $1D$ charmonium valence states below 4 GeV, by incorporating the four-quark components ($D$, $D^*$, $D_s$ and $D_s^*$ meson pairs) into the quark model. The valence-continuum coupling is provided by the $^3P_0$ quark-pair creation model. The induced mass shifts appear to be large and negative with the original transition operator in $^3P_0$ model, which raised up challenges for the valence quark model. More QCD-motivated models should be employed for the quark-pair creatio…

Relativistic effects are important in the rigorous study of heavy quarks. In this paper, we study the relativistic corrections of semileptonic $B_c$ decays to charmonium with the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter method. Within the Bethe-Salpeter framework, we use two methods to study the relativistic effects. One of them is to expand the transition amplitude in powers of $\vec{q}$ which is the relative momentum between the quark and antiquark, and the other is to expand the amplitude base on the wave functions. In the level of decay width, the results show that, for the transition of $B_c\to η_c$,…
In this short review we present and discuss all the experimental information about the charged exotic charmonium states, which have been observed over the last five years. We try to understand their properties such as masses and decay widths with QCD sum rules. We describe this method, show the results and compare them with the experimental data and with other theoretical approaches.
The discovery in the last few years of the $X, Y$ and $Z$ states of the extended charmonium family has highlighted the importance of the closeness of decay channels to an understanding of these mesons. We aid this debate by illustrating a simple calculational procedure for including the effect of open and nearby closed channels.
In this study, the properties of the $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ hidden charm poles are analyzed under the variation of the bare 2P charmonium mass within the effective field theory proposed in Ref.[1]. The main focus of the current work is on the pole trajectory of the $χ_{c1}(2P)$ charmonium dressed by the $D \bar{D}^*$ meson loops. It is shown that the trajectories of the pole change radically for values of the bare charmonium mass above a certain value and also depending on how close the pole is to the threshold.
We study the possible spin-1 charmonium-like states by using QCD sum rule approach. We calculate the two-point correlation functions for all the local form tetraquark interpolating currents with $J^{PC}=1^{--}, 1^{-+}, 1^{++}$ and $1^{+-}$ and extract the masses of the tetraquark charmonium-like states. The mass of the $1^{--}$ $qc\bar q\bar c$ state is $4.6\sim4.7$ GeV, which implies a possible tetraquark interpretation for Y(4660) meson. The masses for both the $1^{++}$ $qc\bar q\bar c$ and $sc\bar s\bar c$ states are $4.0\sim 4.2$ GeV, which is slightly above the mass of X(3872). For the $1…
A detailed error analysis is carried out for the determination of the MSbar charm quark mass $\bar m_c(\bar m_c)$ from moments at order alpha_s^2 of the charm cross section in e^+e^- annihilation. To estimate the theoretical uncertainties the renormalization scale is implemented in various ways including energy-dependent functions, which lead to ``contour-improved'' predictions. We obtain $\bar m_c(\bar m_c)=1.29\pm 0.07$ GeV which contains a substantial theoretical uncertainty.
We calculate the two-loop QCD corrections to paracharmonium decays $eta_{c} rightarrow gamma gamma$ and $eta_{c} rightarrow g g$ involving light-by-light scattering diagrams with light quark loops. Artificial large mass expansion and convergence improvement techniques are used to evaluate these corrections. The obtained corrections to the decays $eta_{c} rightarrow gamma gamma$ and $eta_{c} rightarrow g g$ account for $-1.25 %$ and $ -0.73 %$ of the leading order contribution, respectively.
Using the same quenched limit as input, we compare the charmonium spectra predicted by the coupled-channel model and the screened potential model in the mass region below 4 GeV, in which the contributions from decay channels involving P-wave (as well as even higher excited) D mesons can be neglected. We find that the two models have similar global features in describing charmonium spectrum since they embody the same effect of the vacuum polarization of dynamical light quark pairs. This agreement is encouraging for using the screened potential to further describe the mass spectrum of higher cha…
We calculate the exclusive cross sections for e^+ e^- annihilation into two charmonium states through a virtual photon. Purely electromagnetic contributions are surprisingly large, changing the cross sections by as much as 21%. The predicted cross section for J/psi + eta_c is about an order of magnitude smaller than a recent measurement by the BELLE Collaboration, although part of the discrepancy can be attributed to large relativistic corrections. The cross sections for S-wave + P-wave, P-wave + P-wave, and S-wave + D-wave charmonium states are also calculated. It may be possible to discover …
The effects of virtual light quark pairs on the charmonium spectrum are studied. Pair creation is modelled with a ``$^{3}P_{0}$" vertex and intermediate states are summed up to 2S excitations. Quark model parameters are obtained by fitting to 12 well-known charmonium states, allowing for feedback between the decaying particle and the induced mass shifts. Both of these technical steps are new and improve agreement with the experimental spectrum. In general, the masses receive small shifts once model parameters are refit. This is true in almost cases except the $χ_{cJ}(2P)$ multiplet, which expe…
The study of electron-positron collisions at center-of-mass energies corresponding to charmonium production has reached new levels of sensitivity thanks to experiments by the BES and CLEO Collaborations. Final states $γP$, where $P$ is a pseudoscalar meson such as $π^0$, $η$, and $η'$ can arise either from charmonium decays or in the continuum through a virtual photon: $e^+ e^- \to γ^* \to γP$. Estimates of this latter process are given at center-of-mass (c.m.) energies corresponding to the $J/ψ(1S)$, $ψ(2S)$, and $ψ(3770)$ resonances.
The fragmentation functions D_{a -> H}(x,mu^2) of a heavy hadron H, with mass m_H, satisfy the phase-space constraint D_{a - > H}(x,mu^2)=0 for x < m_H^2/mu^2, which is violated by the naive mu^2 evolution equations. Using appropriately generalized mu^2 evolution equations, we reconsider the inclusive hadroproduction of prompt J/psi mesons with high transverse momenta in the framework of the factorization formalism of nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics, and determine the resulting shifts in the values of the leading colour-octet matrix elements, which are fitted to data from the Fermilab T…
In this paper we propose a particular description of meson spectroscopy, with emphasis in heavy bound states like charmonia and bottomonia, after working on the main aspects of the construction of an effective potential model. We use the prerogatives from ``soft QCD'' to determine the effective potential terms, establishing the asymptotic Coulomb term from one gluon exchange approximation. At the same time, a linear confinement term is introduced in agreement with QCD and phenomenological prescription. The main aspect of this work is the simplification in the calculation, consequence of a prec…
In order to understand the structure of the X(3872), the $c \bar c$ charmonium core state coupling to the $D^0 \bar D^{\ast 0}$ and $D^+ D^{\ast -}$ molecular states are studied. The strengths of the couplings between the charmonium state and the hadronic molecular states are determined so as to reproduce the observed mass of the the X(3872). The isospin symmetry breaking is introduced by the mass differences of the neutral and charged $D$ mesons. The obtained structure of the X(3872) is that about 7% is $\ccbar$ charmonium, 75% is the isoscalar $D \bar D^\ast$ molecule and 18% is the isovecto…
A theoretical explanation of the observed splittings among the P~states of charmonium is given with the use of a nonsingular potential model for heavy quarkonia. We also show that the recently observed mass difference between the center of gravity of the ${}^3P_J$ states and the ${}^1P_1$ state of $c\bar{c}$ does not provide a direct test of the color hyperfine interaction in heavy quarkonia. Our theoretical value for the mass of the ${}^1P_1$ state is in agreement with the experimental result, and its E1 transition width is 341.8~keV. The mass of the $η_c'$ state is predicted to be 3622.3~MeV…
In this work, we calculate the amplitudes of the processes $c\bar c({^3P_J}) \rightarrow DD,DD^*, D^*D^* \rightarrow c\bar c({^3P_J})$ in the leading order of the nonrelativistic expansion. The imaginary parts of the amplitudes are corresponding to the branch decay widthes of the charmonium $c\bar c({^3P_J}) \rightarrow DD,DD^*, D^*D^*$ and the real parts are corresponding to the mass shifts of the charmonium $c\bar c({^3P_J})$ due to these decay channels. After absorbing the polynomial contributions which are pure real and include the UV divergences, the ratios between the branch decay widthe…
We present a detailed investigation of the quark mass-dependence of charmonium correlators in Euclidean-time obtained using a potential model, as well as the comparison with results on isotropic lattice calculations performed at several lattice spacings.
The resonances, containing $c\bar c$ plus $s\bar s$ (or light $q\bar q$) quarks in the mass region $(3900-4700)$ MeV, are analyzed in the relativistic strong coupling theory, with and without channel coupling phenomena. The conventional charmonium spectrum is presented, being calculated with the relativistic string Hamiltonian, which does not contain fitting parameters, while for high excitations the universal flattened confining potential is used. It is shown that $X(4274),X(4500),X(4700)$ can be identified as $3\,^3P_1, 4\,^3P_0, 5\,^3P_0$ states. The exotic states are considered using the c…
We investigate the mass spectrum and electromagnetic processes of charmonium system with the nonperturbative treatment for the spin-dependent potentials, comparing the pure scalar and scalar-vector mixing linear confining potentials. It is revealed that the scalar-vector mixing confinement would be important for reproducing the mass spectrum and decay widths, and therein the vector component is predicted to be around 22%. With the state wave functions obtained via the full-potential Hamiltonian, the long-standing discrepancy in M1 radiative transitions of $J/ψ$ and $ψ^{\prime}$ are alleviated …
In this paper we develop a formalism for incorporating hadron loops in the quark model. We derive expressions for mass shifts, continuum components and mixing amplitudes of "quenched" quark model states due to hadron loops, as perturbation series in the valence-continuum coupling Hamiltonian. We prove three general theorems regarding the effects of hadron loops, which show that given certain constraints on the external "bare" quark model states, the valence-continuum coupling, and the hadrons summed in the loops, the following results hold: (1) The loop mass shifts are identical for all states…
Stimulated by the experimental observation, made by the E760 Collaboration at Fermilab, of the $^1\!P_1$ state of charmonium resonantly formed in $p\,\bar p$ annihilation, we perform a calculation of the decay width for the $^1\!P_1\to p\,\bar p$ process. To this end, we employ a phenomenological model which adds constituent quark mass corrections to the usual massless QCD models for exclusive processes. For massless models, in fact, the process under consideration is forbidden by the so-called helicity selection rules, while it is allowed in our extended model. We find $Γ(^1\!P_1\to p\,\bar p…
We correct a mistake in the analytical expression given in Nucl. Phys. {\bf A} 815, 53 (2009) [arXiv:0804.4817] for the $D_{s0}\bar{D}_s^*$ and $D_{0}\bar{D}^*$ molecular currents. As a consequence, the mass obtained for the $D_{0}\bar{D}^*$ molecular current: $m_{D_{0}\bar{D}^*}=(4.96\pm 0.11)$ GeV is no longer compatible with the experimental mass of the meson Y(4260).
Inspired by the newly observed $X$(4160) and $X$(3915) states, we analyze the mass spectrum of these states in different quark models and calculate their strong decay widths by the $^3P_0$ model. According to the mass spectrum of charmonium states predicted by the potential model, the states $χ_0(3^3P_0), χ_1(3^3P_1), η_{c2}(2^1D_2), η_c(4^1S_0)$ all can be candidates for the $X$(4160). However, only the decay width of the state $η_{c2}(2^1D_2)$ in our calculation is in good agreement with the data reported by Belle and the decay of $η_{c2}(2^1D_2)\to D\bar{D}$, which is not seen in experiment…
Exotic states in the charmonium family are systematically treated in the framework of simplest model with an effective coulomb-like interaction of heavy quark and antiquark in the presence of static excitation of quark-gluon modes responsible for a nonperturbative term of potential, which provides with the confinement of quarks, in terms of bag over the threshold in the excitation spectrum of vacuum fields. Once the spectrum has got quite a wide mass gap, it allows us to approximate the bag contribution into the potential by a constant value of bag mass at low distances less than the bag size.…
Many new states in the charmonium and bottomonium mass region were recently discovered by the BaBar, Belle and CDF Collaborations. We use the QCD Sum Rule approach to study the possible structure of some of these states. In particular we identify the recently observed bottomonium-like resonance $Z_b^+(10610)$ with the first excitation of the tetraquark $X_b(1^{++})$, the analogue of the X(3872) state in the charm sector.
The mass spectra of charmonium are investigated using a Coulomb plus linear (Cornell) potential. Gaussian wave function in position space as well as in momentum space are employed to calculate the expectation value of potential and kinetic energy respectively. Various experimental states ($X(4660)(5^{3}S_{1})$, $X(3872)(2^{3}P_{1})$, $X(3900)(2^{1}P_{1})$, $X(3915)(2^{3}P_{0})$ and $X(4274)(3^{3}P_{1})$ etc.) are assigned as charmonium states. We also study the Regge trajectories, pseudoscalar and vector decay constants, the Electric and Magnetic dipole transition rates and the annihilation de…
We study the photon spectrum in the radiative decays of the charmonium $\frac{1}Γ\frac{dΓ(J/ψ\rightarrowγgg)}{dz}$ as an excellent scene for hunting the exotic mesons (hybrids $q\bar{q}g$ and glueballs $gg$) and an ideal frame for the theoretical and phenomenological investigations of the gluon nature in IR, by subtle estimation of its non-zero effective mass which seems required in Quark-Gluon Constituent Model (QGCM) for identifying the nature of these exotic species.
Using the QCD sum rule approach we study the X(4260) state assuming that it can be described by a mixed charmonium-tetraquark current with $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ quantum numbers. For the mixing angle around $θ=(53.0 \pm 0.5)^0$, we obtain a value for the mass which is in good agreement with the experimental mass of the X(4260). For the decay width into the channel $X \to J/ψππ$, we find the value $Γ_{X \to J/ψππ}=(4.1 \pm 0.6)$ MeV, which is much smaller than the total experimental width $Γ= (108\pm 12)$ MeV. However, considering the experimental upper limits for the decay of the X(4260) into open ch…
In this work, the cross-section of the reaction $γp \rightarrow V(J/ψ,ψ(2S)) p$ from the production threshold to medium energy is studied and systematically analyzed within two gluon exchange model. The obtained numerical results are in agreement with experimental data and other theoretical predictions. Under the assumption of the scalar form factor of dipole form, the value of proton mass radius is calculated as $0.55\pm 0.09$ fm and $ 0.77\pm 0.12$ fm from the fit to the predicted $J/ψ$ and $ψ(2S)$ differential cross-section, respectively. Finally the average value of proton mass radius is e…
In this article, we assign the newly reported state $X(3842)$ to be a D-wave $\overline{c}c$ meson, and study its mass and decay constant with the QCD sum rules by considering the contributions of the vacuum condensates up to dimension-6 in the operator product expansion. The predicted mass $M_{X(3842)}=(3.844^{+0.0675}_{-0.0823}\pm0.020)GeV$ is in agreement well with the experimental data $M_{X(3842)}=(3842.71\pm0.16\pm0.12)MeV$ from the LHCb collaboration. This result supports assigning $X(3842)$ to be a $1^{3}D_{3}$ charmonium meson. As the $1^{3}D_{3}$ $\overline{c}c$ meson, its predicted …
We investigate mass shifts of charmonia driven by change of the gluon condensate below but near transition temperatures at finite baryonic chemical potential. Extending previous prescription on the relation between gluon condensates and thermodynamic quantities, we model the gluon condensates of hadronic matter at finite temperature and baryonic chemical potential such that the scalar gluon condensate fits with the latest lattice QCD data. By making use of the QCD sum rule and the second order Stark effect, we find that the smoother transition in the full QCD can lead to moderate mass shifts o…
We calculate the in-medium masses of J/$ψ$ and of the excited states of charmonium ($ψ$(3686) and $ψ$(3770)) in isospin asymmetric nuclear matter at finite temperatures. These mass modifications arise due to the interaction of the charmonium states with the gluon condensates of QCD, simulated by a scalar dilaton field introduced to incorporate the broken scale invariance of QCD within an effective chiral model. The change in the mass of J/$ψ$ in the nuclear matter with density is seen to be rather small, as has been shown in the literature by using various approaches, whereas, the masses of th…
We present a study for charmonium radiative transitions: $J/ψ\rightarrowη_cγ$, $χ_{c0}\rightarrow J/Ψγ$ and $h_c\rightarrowη_cγ$ using $N_f=2$ twisted mass lattice QCD gauge configurations. The single-quark vector form factors for $η_c$ and $χ_{c0}$ are also determined. The simulation is performed at a lattice spacing of $a= 0.06666$ fm and the lattice size is $32^3\times 64$. After extrapolation of lattice data at nonzero $Q^2$ to 0, we compare our results with previous quenched lattice results and the available experimental values.
Stimulated by the new evidence of Y(4274) observed in the $J/ψϕ$ invariant mass spectrum, we first propose the charmonium-like state Y(4274) as the S-wave $D_s\bar{D}_{s0}(2317)+h.c.$ molecular state with $J^P=0^-$, which is supported well by dynamics study of the system composed of the pseudoscalar and scalar charmed mesons. The S-wave $D\bar{D}_{0}(2400)+h.c.$ molecular charmonium appears as the molecular partner of Y(4274), which is in accord with the enhancement structure appearing at 4.2 GeV in the $J/ψω$ invariant mass spectrum from B decays. Our study shows that the enhancement structur…
We compute masses of $D$ mesons, $D_s$ mesons and charmonium states using Wilson twisted mass lattice QCD. We present results for spin $J = 0,1,2,3$, parity $\mathcal{P} = -,+$ and in case of charmonium also charge conjugation $\mathcal{C} = -,+$. Computations are based on quark-antiquark creation operators and performed at three different unphysically heavy $u/d$ quark masses allowing an extrapolation to the physical $u/d$ quark mass. Within combined statistical and systematic errors, which are around $2 \% \ldots 3 \%$, our results agree with available experimental results. Particular focus …
Using the QCD sum rule approach we study the Y(4260) state assuming that it can be described by a mixed charmonium-tetraquark current with $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ quantum numbers. For the mixing angle around $θ\approx (53.0\pm 0.5)^{0}$, we obtain a value for the mass which is in good agreement with the experimental mass of the Y(4260). However, for the decay width we find the value $\Ga_Y \approx (1.0\pm 0.2)$ MeV which is not compatible with the experimental value $\Ga \approx (88\pm 23)$ MeV. Therefore, we conclude that, although we can explain the mass of the Y(4260), this state cannot be describe…
We study an interquark QQ^bar potential for the charmonium system, that is determined from the the equal-time and Coulomb gauge QQ^bar Bethe-Salpeter (BS) wavefunction through the effective Schrödinger equation. This novel approach enables us to evaluate a kinetic heavy quark mass m_Q and a proper interquark potential at finite quark mass m_Q, which receives all orders of 1/m_Q corrections on the static QQ^bar potential from Wilson loops, simultaneously. Precise information of the interquark potential for both charmonium and bottomonium states directly from lattice QCD provides us a chance to …
Using the QCD sum rules we test if the charmonium-like structure Y(4274), observed in the $J/ψϕ$ invariant mass spectrum, can be described with a $D_s\bar{D}_{s0}(2317)+h.c.$ molecular current with $J^{PC}=0^{-+}$. We consider the contributions of condensates up to dimension ten and we work at leading order in $α_s$. We keep terms which are linear in the strange quark mass $m_s$. The mass obtained for such state is $m_{D_s{D}_{s0}}=(4.80\pm 0.55)$ GeV. We also consider a molecular $0^{-+}$ $D\bar{D}_{0}(2400)+h.c.$ current and we obtain $m_{D{D}_0}=(4.61\pm 0.71)$ GeV. Our study shows that the…
Using the QCD sum rules approach we study the mass and decay width of the channel $J/ψ+ ω$ for the $Y(3940)$ state. We assume that it can be described by a mixed charmonium-molecule scalar state, $(χ_{c0})-(D^\ast D^\ast)$ current, with $J^{PC} = 0^{++}$ quantum numbers. For the mixing angle $(76.0 \pm 5.0)^0$, we obtain the value $M = (3.95 \pm 0.11)$ GeV for the mass, which is in good agreement with the experimental mass of the $Y(3940)$ state. For the decay width into the channel $Y \rightarrow J/ψ+ ω$, we find the value $Γ_Y = (1.7 \pm 0.6)$ MeV, which is also compatible with the experimen…
We compute masses of $D$ meson, $D_s$ meson and charmonium states using $N_f=2+1+1$ Wilson twisted mass lattice QCD. All results are extrapolated to physical light quark masses, physical strange and charm quark masses and to the continuum. Our analysis includes states with spin $J = 0,1,2$, parity $\mathcal{P} = -,+$ and in case of charmonium also charge conjugation $\mathcal{C} = -,+$. Computations are based on a large set of quark-antiquark meson creation operators. We investigate and quantify all sources of systematic errors, including fitting range uncertainties, finite volume effects, iso…
Focusing on recent measurement of $B^+ \to D_s^+D_s^-K^+$ process given by the LHCb Collaboration, we propose that this newly observed near the $D_s^+D_s^-$ threshold enhancement can be due to the contribution of the $χ_{c0}(2P)$, which is a $P$-wave charmonium below the $D_s^+D_s^-$ threshold. By performing a combined fit to the measured $D_s^+D_s^-$, $D_s^+K^+$, and $D_s^-K^+$ invariant mass spectra, introducing the $χ_{c0}(2P)$ can well reproduce the near threshold enhancement in the $D_s^+D_s^-$ invariant mass spectrum. When depicting the whole $D_s^+D_s^-$ invariant mass spectrum, the con…
We present a lattice QCD study of charmonium resonances and bound states with $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ and $3^{--}$ near the open-charm threshold, taking into account their strong transitions to $\bar DD$. Vector charmonia are the most abundant in the experimentally established charmonium spectrum, while recently LHCb reported also the first discovery of a charmonium with likely spin three. The $\bar DD$ scattering amplitudes for partial waves $l=1$ and $l=3$ are extracted on the lattice by means of the Lüscher formalism, using multiple volumes and inertial frames. Parameterizations of the scattering a…
Inspired by the similarity of mass gaps of $J/ψ$ and $Υ$ families, the prediction of missing higher charmonium with mass $4263$ MeV and very narrow width is made. In addition, the properties of two charmonium-like states, $X(3940)$ and $X(4160)$, and charmonium $ψ(4415)$ are discussed. Here, $X(3940)$ as $η_c(3S)$ is established while the explanation of $X(4160)$ to be $η_c(4S)$ is fully excluded and $η_c(4S)$ is typically a very narrow state. These predictions can be accessible at BESIII, Belle and BelleII in near future.
We present high-precision results from lattice QCD for the mass splittings of the low-lying charmonium states. For the valence charm quark, the calculation uses Wilson-clover quarks in the Fermilab interpretation. The gauge-field ensembles are generated in the presence of up, down, and strange sea quarks, based on the improved staggered (asqtad) action, and gluon fields, based on the one-loop, tadpole-improved gauge action. We use five lattice spacings and two values of the light sea quark mass to extrapolate the results to the physical point. An enlarged set of interpolating operators is used…
We present results for the mass splittings of low-lying charmonium states from a calculation with Wilson clover valence quarks with the Fermilab interpretation on an asqtad sea. We use five lattice spacings and two values of the light sea quark mass to extrapolate our results to the physical point. Sources of systematic uncertainty in our calculation are discussed and we compare our results for the 1S hyperfine splitting, the 1P-1S splitting and the P-wave spin orbit and tensor splittings to experiment.
