Let $\mathbb{R}=(-\infty,\infty)$, and let $Q\in C^1(\mathbb{R}): \mathbb{R}\rightarrow \mathbb{R^+}=[0,\infty)$ be an even function, which is an exponent. We consider the weight $w_ρ(x)=|x|^ρ e^{-Q(x)}$, $ρ\geqslant 0$, $x\in \mathbb{R}$, and then we can construct the orthonormal polynomials $p_{n}(w_ρ^2;x)$ of degree n for $w_ρ^2(x)$. In this paper we obtain $L_p$-convergence theorems of even order Hermite-Fejér interpolation polynomials at the zeros $\left\{x_{k,n,ρ}\right\}_{k=1}^n$ of $p_{n}(w_ρ^2;x)$.
In this paper, firstly we have established Hermite--Hadamard-Fejér inequality for fractional integrals. Secondly, an integral identity and some Hermite-Hadamard-Fejer type integral inequalities for the fractional integrals have been obtained. The some results presented here would provide extensions of those given in earlier works.
In this paper, we established Hermite-Hadamard-Fejer type inequalities for s-convex functions in the second sense via fractional integrals. The some results presented here would provide extansions of those given in earlier works.
In this paper we obtain the Hermite-Hadamard and Hermite-Hadamard-Fejér type inequalities for fractional integrals which generalize the two familiar fractional integrals namely, the Riemann-Liouville and the Hadamard fractional integrals into a single form. We prove that, in most cases, we obtain the Riemann--Liouville and the Hadamard equivalence just by taking limits when a parameter $ρ\rightarrow 1$ and $ρ\rightarrow 0^+$, respectively.
In this paper, we establish some weighted fractional inequalities for differentiable mappings whose derivatives in absolute value are convex. These results are connected with the celebrated Hermite-Hadamard-Fejer type integral inequality. The results presented here would provide extensions of those given in earlier works.
In this paper, it is a fuction that is a GA-convex differentiable for a new identity. As a result of this identity, some new and general integral inequalities for differentiable GA-convex functions are obtained.
In this paper, it is a fuction that is a harmonically-convex differentiable for a new identity. As a result of this identity some new and general inequalities for differentiable harmonically-convex functions are obtained.
In this paper, we have established some generalized integral inequalities of Hermite-Hadamard-Fejér type for generalized fractional integrals. The results presented here would provide generalizations of those given in earlier works.
We give the connections among the Fekete sets, the zeros of orthogonal polynomials, $1(w)$-normal point systems, and the nodes of a stable and most economical interpolatory process via the Fejér contants. Finally the convergence of a weighted Grünwald interpolation is proved.
It is well-known that the left term of the classical Hermite-Hadamard inequality is closer to the integral mean value than the right one. We show that in the multivariate case it is not true. Moreover, we introduce some related inequality comparing the methods of the approximate integration, which is optimal. We also present its counterpart of Fejer type.
We establish best possible pointwise (up to a constant multiple) estimates for approximation, on a finite interval, by polynomials that satisfy finitely many (Hermite) interpolation conditions, and show that these estimates cannot be improved. In particular, we show that {\bf any} algebraic polynomial of degree $n$ approximating a function $f\in C^r(I)$, $I=[-1,1]$, at the classical pointwise rate $ρ_n^r(x) ω_k(f^{(r)}, ρ_n(x))$, where $ρ_n(x)=n^{-1}\sqrt{1-x^2}+n^{-2}$, and (Hermite) interpolating $f$ and its derivatives up to the order $r$ at a point $x_0\in I$, has the best possible pointwi…
It is shown that if a non-zero function $f\in B_σ$ has infinitely many double zeros on the real axis, then there exists at least one pair of consecutive zeros whose distance apart is greater than $\dfracπστ^{1/4}$, $τ\approx5.0625$. A frame algorithm is provided for reconstructing a function $f\in B_σ$ from its nonuniform samples $\{f^{(j)}(x_i):j=0,1,\dots, k-1, i\in\mathbb{Z}\}$ with maximum gap condition, $\sup\limits_i(x_{i+1}-x_i)=δ<\dfrac{1}σc_k^{1/2k}$, where $c_k$ is a Wirtinger-Sobolev constant, using Hermite interpolation.
Let $Γ$ be an $L$-shape arc consisting of 2 line segments that meet at an angle different from $π$ in the complex $z$-plane $\CC$. This paper is to investigate the behavior of the polynomial interpolants at the Fejér points, defined by $\{z_{n,k} = ψ(e^{i(2kπ+ θ)/(n+1)})\}$ for any choice of $θ$. In this regard, we recall that for the interval [-1, 1], the Fejér points $\{z_{n,k} = ψ^*(e^{i(2k+1)π/(n+1)})\}$ agree with the Chebyshev points and that the Chebyshev points are most commonly used as nodes for Lagrange polynomial interpolation. On the other hand, numerical experimentation demonstrat…
Let $m_{2}<m_{1}$ be two given nonnegative integers with $n=m_{1}+m_{2}+1$. For suitably differentiable $f$, we let $P,Q\in π_{n}$ be the Hermite polynomial interpolants to $f$ which satisfy $P^{(j)}(a)=f^{(j)}(a),j=0,1,...,m_{1}$ and $P^{(j)}(b)=f^{(j)}(b),j=0,1,...,m_{2},$ $Q^{(j)}(a)=f^{(j)}(a),j=0,1,...,m_{2}$ and $Q^{(j)}(b)=f^{(j)}(b),j=0,1,...,m_{1}$. Suppose that $f\in C^{n+2}(I)$ with $f^{(n+1)}(x)\neq 0$ for $x\in (a,b)$. If $m_{1}-m_{2}$ is even, then there is a unique $x_{0},a<x_{0}<b,$ such that $P(x_{0})=Q(x_{0})$. If $m_{1}-m_{2}$ is odd, then there is a unique $x_{0},a<x_{0}<b,…
The nondegenerate Nevanlinna-Pick-Carathéodory-Fejer interpolation problem with finitely many interpolation conditions always has infinitely many solutions in a generalized Schur class $\cS_κ$ for every $κ\ge κ_{\rm min}$ where the integer $κ_{\rm min}$ equals the number of negative eigenvalues of the Pick matrix associated to the problem and completely determined by interpolation data. A linear fractional description of all $\cS_{κ_{\rm min}}$ solutions of the (nondegenerate) problem is well known. In this paper, we present a similar result for an arbitrary $κ\ge κ_{\rm min}$.
We investigate the convergence of entire Lagrange interpolations and of Hermite interpolations of exponential type in weighted $L^p$-spaces on the real line. The weights are reciprocals of entire functions and depend on the type and may be viewed as smoothed versions of a target weight. The convergence statements are obtained from Marcinkiewicz inequalities with constants proportional to the type. For the special case of power weights we recover results of Rahman and Grozev and of Lubinsky.
For Lagrange polynomial interpolation on open arcs $X=γ$ in $\mathbb{C}$, it is well-known that the Lebesgue constant for the family of Chebyshev points ${\bf{x}}_n:=\{x_{n,j}\}^{n}_{j=0}$ on $[-1,1]\subset \mathbb{R}$ has growth order of $O(log(n))$. The same growth order was shown in [45] for the Lebesgue constant of the family ${\bf {z^{**}_n}}:=\{z_{n,j}^{**}\}^{n}_{j=0}$ of some properly adjusted Fejér points on a rectifiable smooth open arc $γ\subset \mathbb{C}$. On the other hand, in our recent work [15], it was observed that if the smooth open arc $γ$ is replaced by an $L$-shape arc $γ…
We consider the summability of one- and multi-dimensional trigonometric Fourier series. The Fej{é}r and Riesz summability methods are investigated in detail. Different types of summation and convergence are considered. We will prove that the maximal operator of the summability means is bounded from the Hardy space $H_p$ to $L_p$, for all $p>p_0$, where $p_0$ depends on the summability method and the dimension. For $p=1$, we obtain a weak type inequality by interpolation, which ensures the almost everywhere convergence of the summability means. Similar results are formulated for the more genera…
We study $L^p$-$L^q$ estimate for the spectral projection operator $Π_λ$ associated to the Hermite operator $H=|x|^2-Δ$ in $\mathbb R^d$. Here $Π_λ$ denotes the projection to the subspace spanned by the Hermite functions which are the eigenfunctions of $H$ with eigenvalue $λ$. Such estimates were previously available only for $q=p'$, equivalently with $p=2$ or $q=2$ (by $TT^*$ argument) except for the estimates which are straightforward consequences of interpolation between those estimates. As shown in the works of Karadzhov, Thangavelu, and Koch and Tataru, the local and global estimates for …
For a fixed positive integer $n$ consider continuous functions $ K_1,\dots$, $ K_n:[-1,1]\to \mathbb{R}\cup\{-\infty\}$ that are concave and real valued on $[-1,0)$ and on $(0,1]$, and satisfy $K_j(0)=-\infty$. Moreover, let $J:[0,1]\to \mathbb{R}\cup\{-\infty\}$ be upper bounded and such that $[0,1]\setminus J^{-1}(\{-\infty\})$ has at least $n+1$ elements, but it is arbitrary otherwise. For $x_0:=0<x_1<\dots< x_n \le x_{n+1}:=1$, so called nodes, and for $t\in [0,1]$ consider the sum of translates function $F(x_1,\ldots,x_n,t):=J(t)+\sum_{j=1}^n K_j(t-x_j)$, and the vector of interval maximu…
We study negative powers of Laguerre differential operators in $\R$, $d\ge1$. For these operators we prove two-weight $L^p-L^q$ estimates, with ranges of $q$ depending on $p$. The case of the harmonic oscillator (Hermite operator) has recently been treated by Bongioanni and Torrea by using a straightforward approach of kernel estimates. Here these results are applied in certain Laguerre settings. The procedure is fairly direct for Laguerre function expansions of Hermite type, due to some monotonicity properties of the kernels involved. The case of Laguerre function expansions of convolution ty…
