Let $X$ be a finite or infinite chain and let $O(X)$ be the monoid of all endomorphisms of $X$. In this paper, we describe the largest regular subsemigroup of $O(X)$ and Green's relations on $O(X)$. In fact, more generally, if $Y$ is a nonempty subset of $X$ and $O(X,Y)$ the subsemigroup of $O(X)$ of all elements with range contained in $Y$, we characterize the largest regular subsemigroup of $O(X,Y)$ and Green's relations on $O(X,Y)$. Moreover, for finite chains, we determine when two semigroups of the type $O(X,Y)$ are isomorphic and calculate their ranks.
In this paper, we characterize the monoid of endomorphisms of the semigroup of all oriented full transformations of a finite chain, as well as the monoid of endomorphisms of the semigroup of all oriented partial transformations and the monoid of endomorphisms of the semigroup of all oriented partial permutations of a finite chain. Characterizations of the monoids of endomorphisms of the subsemigroups of all orientation-preserving transformations of the three semigroups aforementioned are also given. In addition, we compute the number of endomorphisms of each of these six semigroups.
In this paper, we characterize the monoid of endomorphisms of the semigroup of all monotone full transformations of a finite chain, as well as the monoids of endomorphisms of the semigroup of all monotone partial transformations and of the semigroup of all monotone partial permutations of a finite chain.
The authors [3] proved that the endomorphism semiring of a nontrivial semilattice is always subdirectly irreducible and described its monolith. Here we prove that the endomorphism semiring of a commutative inverse semigroup with at least two idempotents is always subdirectly irreducible and describe its monolith.
Automorphisms of the semigroup of endomorphisms of free associative algebras
设$A=A(x_{1},...,x_{n})$是$\mathcal{A}$中由集合$X=\{x_{1},...,x_{n}\}$在$K$上自由生成的自由结合代数,$End A$是$A$的自同态半群,$Aut End A$是半群$End A$的自同构群.研究了群$Aut End A$和$Aut \mathcal{A}^{\circ}$的结构,其中$\mathcal{A}^{\circ}$是由$\mathcal{A}$生成的自由代数的范畴.证明了群$Aut End A$由$End F$的半内和镜像自同构生成,群$Aut \mathcal{A}^{\circ}$由范畴$\mathcal{A}^{\circ}$的半内和镜像自同构生成.这个结果解决了\cite{22}中的一个开放问题
In this paper, we study partial automorphisms and, more generally, injective partial endomorphisms of a finite undirected path from Semigroup Theory perspective. Our main objective is to give formulas for the ranks of the monoids $IEnd(P_n)$ and $PAut(P_n)$ of all injective partial endomorphisms and of all partial automorphisms of the undirected path $P_n$ with $n$ vertices. We also describe Green's relations of $PAut(P_n)$ and $IEnd(P_n)$ and calculate their cardinals.
Let $X$ be an infinite linearly ordered set and let $Y$ be a nonempty subset of $X$. We calculate the relative rank of the semigroup $OP(X,Y)$ of all orientation-preserving transformations on $X$ with restricted range $Y$ modulo the semigroup $O(X,Y)$ of all order-preserving transformations on $X$ with restricted range $Y$. For $Y = X$, we characterize the relative generating sets of minimal size.
In this paper, we determine the relative rank of the semigroup $T(X,Y)$ of all transformations on a finite chain $X$ with restricted range $Y \subseteq X$ modulo the set $OP(X,Y)$ of all orientation-preserving transformation in $T(X,Y)$. Moreover, we state the relative rank of the semigroup $OP(X,Y)$ modulo the set $O(X,Y)$ of all order-preserving transformations in $OP(X,Y)$. In both cases we characterize the minimal relative generating sets.
An extended derivation (endomorphism) of a (restricted) Lie algebra $L$ is an assignment of a derivation (respectively) of $L'$ for any (restricted) Lie morphism $f:L\to L'$, functorial in $f$ in the obvious sense. We show that (a) the only extended endomorphisms of a restricted Lie algebra are the two obvious ones, assigning either the identity or the zero map of $L'$ to every $f$; and (b) if $L$ is a Lie algebra in characteristic zero or a restricted Lie algebra in positive characteristic, then $L$ is in canonical bijection with its space of extended derivations (so the latter are all, in a …
