Recent measurements of the azimuthal anisotropy of direct photons in heavy-ion collisions at the energies of RHIC show that it is of the same order as the hadronic one. This finding appears to contradict the expected dominance of photon production from a quark-gluon plasma at an early stage of a heavy-ion collision. A possible explanation of the strong azimuthal anisotropy of the photons, given recently, is based on the presence of a large magnetic field in the early phase of a collision. In this letter, we propose a method to experimentally measure the degree to which a magnetic field in heavy-ion collisions is responsible for the observed anisotropy of photon production. The experimental test proposed in this letter may potentially change our understanding of the non-equilibrium stage and possible thermalization in heavy-ion collisions.
We study the fluctuations of the anisotropy of the energy density profile created in a high-energy collision at the LHC. We show that the anisotropy in harmonic $n$ has generic non-Gaussian fluctuations. We argue that these non-Gaussianities have a universal character for small systems such as p+Pb collisions, but not for large systems such as Pb+Pb collisions where they depend on the underlying non-Gaussian statistics of the initial density profile. We generalize expressions for the eccentricity cumulants $\varepsilon_2\{4\}$ and $\varepsilon_3\{4\}$ previously obtained within the independent…
We study analytically and numerically effects of spatial eccentricity of the projectile shape on the second flow harmonic in inclusive gluon production in p-A collisions in the CGC framework. Keeping the collision area fixed, we find that the two quantities are anti-correlated.
We propose Elliptic Power and Power parameterizations for the probability distribution of initial state anisotropies in heavy-ion collisions. By assuming a linear eccentricity scaling, the new parameterizations can also be applied to fluctuations of harmonic flow. In particular, we analyze flow multi-particle cumulants and event-by-event distributions, both of which are recently measured at the LHC.
A study of eccentricity ($\varepsilon_{n}$) fluctuations and its possible impact on final state momentum anisotropy ($v_{n}$) for symmetric collisions are presented in the framework of Glauber model. Effect of fluctuations of nucleon's position on the initial geometry has been studied using a new method, where the difference between oppositely moving spectators is taken as a measurement of eccentricity fluctuations. This study shows that higher harmonics ($n$ =3, 4 and 5) of eccentricity are less sensitive to fluctuations in transverse plane compared to the 2$^{nd}$ harmonic. Position fluctuat…
The magnitude of anisotropic flow in a nucleus-nucleus collision is determined by the energy density field, $ρ(x,y,z)$, created right after the collision occurs. Specifically, elliptic flow, $v_2$, and triangular flow, $v_3$, are proportional to the anisotropy coefficients $\varepsilon_2$ and $\varepsilon_3$, which are functionals of $ρ$. We express the mean and the variance of $\varepsilon_2$ and $\varepsilon_3$ as a function of the 1- and 2-point functions of $ρ$. These results generalize results obtained previously, that were valid only for central collisions, or only for identical point-li…
Evolution of anisotropy in momentum and coordinate space of the parton system produced in relativistic heavy-ion collisions is discussed within the free-streaming approximation. The momentum distribution evolves from the prolate shape - elongated along the beam - to the oblate one - squeezed along the beam. At the same time the eccentricity in the coordinate space, which occurs at finite values of impact parameter, decreases. It is argued that the parton system reaches local thermodynamic equilibrium before the momentum distribution becomes oblate.
In the framework of a multi-phase transport model, fluctuation and correlation of the azimuthal anisotropies in $^{12}$C+$^{197}$Au collisions at $\sqrt{S_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV are explored. Properties of the initial eccentricity and final harmonic flow fluctuation resulted from $^{12}$C+$^{197}$Au collisions with Woods-Saxon configuration and triangular $α$-clustering configurations of $^{12}$C are investigated via scaled variance, skewness and kurtosis. Comparisons are made between results from $α$-clustered configurations and Woods-Saxon configuration. The triangular flow fluctuation is found to…
To reduce the effect of the fluctuations of initial geometrical shape, elliptic flow are studied at fixed centrality in Au+Au collision at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$=200GeV. It is observed with the participant increasing, elliptic flow has an increase and a decrease at different fixed impact parameter, but not a trivial fluctuation. It is analyzed that the initial space anisotropy dominates the participant dependence of elliptic flow in near-central collisions(b=5fm) and mid-central collisions(b=8fm), while the interaction between particles can mainly answer for the behavior of elliptic flow in perip…
We investigate the effect of soft gluon radiations on the azimuthal angle correlation between the total and relative momenta of two jets in inclusive and exclusive dijet processes. We show that the final state effect induces a sizable $\cos(2ϕ)$ anisotropy due to gluon emissions near the jet cones. The phenomenological consequences of this observation are discussed for various collider experiments, including diffractive processes in ultraperipheral $pA$ and $AA$ collisions, inclusive and diffractive dijet production at the EIC, and inclusive dijet in $pp$ and $AA$ collisions at the LHC.
There is a well-established relation between the spatial asymmetry in the initial stage of a heavy-ion collision and the final momentum anisotropy, which allows for a separation of effects from initial conditions vs. later evolution and has proved exceptionally powerful. However, until recently it has only been studied in two dimensions -- either through boost-invariant simulations or studying only quantities at mid-rapidity. We explore an extension to 3 dimensions, in order to determine whether a similar understanding can be obtained for the rapidity dependence of the collision system. In par…
Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) is a basic gauge field theory to describe strong interactions. Lattice QCD calculations predict a phase transition from hadronic matter to a deconfined, locally thermalized Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) state at high temperature and small baryon density. Plenty of exciting results from RHIC experiments in the first three years have demonstrated that a hot dense matter with strong collective motion which cannot be described with hadronic degrees of freedom was created at RHIC. Charm quarks are believed to be mostly created from initial gluon fusion in heavy ion collision…
We estimate the amount of collective "elliptic flow" expected at mid-rapidity in proton-proton (p-p) collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), assuming that any possible azimuthal anisotropy of the produced hadrons with respect to the plane of the reaction follows the same overlap-eccentricity and particle-density scalings as found in high-energy heavy ion collisions. Using a Glauber eikonal model, we compute the p-p eccentricities, transverse areas and particle-multiplicities for various phenomenological parametrisations of the proton spatial density. For realistic proton transverse…
We argue that the transverse shape of the fireball created in heavy ion collision is controlled by event-by-event fluctuations of the eccentricity vectors for the forward-going and backward-going wounded nucleons: $\vecε_n^{\mathrm{F}}\equiv ε_n^{\mathrm{F}} e^{i nΦ_n^{\mathrm{*F}}}$ and $\vecε_n^{\mathrm{B}}\equiv ε_n^{\mathrm{B}} e^{i nΦ_n^{\mathrm{*B}}}$. Due to the asymmetric energy deposition of each wounded nucleon along its direction of motion, the eccentricity vector of the produced fireball is expected to interpolate between $\vecε_n^{\mathrm{F}}$ and $\vecε_n^{\mathrm{B}}$ along the …
We compute dilepton production from the deconfined phase of the quark-gluon plasma using leading-order (3+1)-dimensional anisotropic hydrodynamics. The anisotropic hydrodynamics equa- tions employed describe the full spatiotemporal evolution of the transverse temperature, spheroidal momentum-space anisotropy parameter, and the associated three-dimensional collective flow of the matter. The momentum-space anisotropy is also taken into account in the computation of the dilepton production rate, allowing for a self-consistent description of dilepton production from the quark-gluon plasma. For our…
We determine the distribution of linearly polarized gluons of a dense target at small $x$ by solving the B-JIMWLK rapidity evolution equations. From these solutions we estimate the amplitude of $\sim \cos 2ϕ$ azimuthal asymmetries in DIS dijet production at high energies. We find sizeable long-range in rapidity azimuthal asymmetries with a magnitude in the range of $v_2=\langle\cos 2ϕ\rangle \sim 10\%$.
The particle momentum anisotropy ($v_n$) produced in relativistic nuclear collisions is considered to be a response of the initial geometry or the spatial anisotropy $ε_n$ of the system formed in these collisions. The linear correlation between $ε_n$ and $v_n$ quantifies the efficiency at which the initial spatial eccentricity is converted to final momentum anisotropy in heavy ion collisions. We study the transverse momentum, collision centrality, and beam energy dependence of this correlation for different charged particles using a hydrodynamical model framework. The ($ε_n -v_n$) correlation …
We determine the first correction to the quadrupole operator in high-energy QCD beyond the TMD limit of Weizsaecker-Williams and linearly polarized gluon distributions. These functions give rise to isotropic resp. ~ cos 2 phi angular distributions in DIS dijet production. On the other hand, the correction produces a ~ cos 4 phi angular dependence which is suppressed by one additional power of the dijet transverse momentum scale (squared) P^2.
We discuss effects of cosmological moduli fields on the cosmic microwave background (CMB). If a modulus field ϕonce dominates the universe, the CMB we observe today is from the decay of ϕand its anisotropy is affected by the primordial fluctuation in the amplitude of the modulus field. As a result, constraints on the inflaton potential from the CMB anisotropy can be relaxed. In addition, with the cosmological moduli fields, correlated mixture of adiabatic and isocurvature fluctuations may be generated, which results in enhanced CMB angular power spectrum at higher multipoles relative to that o…
We calculate the yield and elliptic flow of mid-rapidity dileptons emitted from the quark-gluon plasma generated in Pb-Pb collisions at LHC. We use relativistic anisotropic hydrodynamics for the 3+1 dimensional evolution of the quark-gluon plasma and convolve this with the momentum-anisotropic local rest frame production rate for dileptons. The effects of momentum anisotropy of the quark distribution functions, viscosity to entropy density ratio, centrality of the collisions, and initial momentum anisotropy on the results are investigated and discussed.
We report predictions for the suppression and elliptic flow of the $Υ(1S)$, $Υ(2S)$, and $Υ(3S)$ as a function of centrality and transverse momentum in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions. We obtain our predictions by numerically solving a Lindblad equation for the evolution of the heavy-quarkonium reduced density matrix derived using potential nonrelativistic QCD and the formalism of open quantum systems. To numerically solve the Lindblad equation, we make use of a stochastic unraveling called the quantum trajectories algorithm. This unraveling allows us to solve the Lindblad evolution eq…
Dilepton production from the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) phase of ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions is computed using the leading-order (3+1)-dimensional anisotropic hydrodynamics. It is shown that high-energy dilepton spectrum is sensitive to the initial local-rest-frame momentum-space anisotropy of the QGP. Our findings suggest that it may be possible to constrain the early-time momentum-space anisotropy in relativistic heavy-ion collisions using high-energy dilepton yields.
We calculate leading-order medium photon yields from a quark-gluon plasma using (3+1)-dimensional anisotropic hydrodynamics. Non-equilibrium corrections to the photon rate are taken into account using a self-consistent modification of the particle distribution functions and the corresponding anisotropic hard-loop fermionic self-energies. We present predictions for the high-energy photon spectrum and photon elliptic flow as a function of transverse momentum, shear viscosity, and initial momentum-space anisotropy. Our findings indicate that high-energy photon production is sensitive to the assum…
In this work it is shown that the use of a hydrodynamical model of heavy ion collisions which incorporates recent developments, together with updated photon emission rates greatly improves agreement with both ALICE and PHENIX measurements of direct photons, supporting the idea that thermal photons are the dominant source of direct photon momentum anisotropy. The event-by-event hydrodynamical model uses IP-Glasma initial states and includes, for the first time, both shear and bulk viscosities, along with second order couplings between the two viscosities. The effect of both shear and bulk visco…
We calculate leading-order medium photon and dilepton yields from a quark-gluon plasma using (3+1)-dimensional anisotropic hydrodynamics. In the case of dileptons, at leading-order it is sufficient to take into account non-equilibrium corrections to the rate through the use of anisotropic distribution functions. In the case of photons, non-equilibrium corrections to the rate are taken into account using a self-consistent modification of the distribution functions and the corresponding anisotropic hard-loop quark self-energies. We present predictions for the high-energy photon and dilepton spec…
Event-by-event fluctuations are central to the current understanding of ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. In particular, fluctuations in the geometry of the early-time collision system are responsible for new phenomena such as triangular flow, which have solved important puzzles in existing data. We propose a simple model where initial fluctuations stem from independent flux tubes randomly distributed in the transverse plane. We calculate analytically the moments of the initial anisotropies (dipole asymmetry, eccentricity, triangularity), which are the sources of anisotropic flow, and th…
We propose an empirical model to determine the form of energy loss of charm quarks due to multiple scatterings in quark gluon plasma by demanding a good description of production of D mesons and non-photonic electrons in relativistic collision of heavy nuclei at RHIC and LHC energies. Best results are obtained when we approximate the momentum loss per collision $Δp_T \propto α\, p_T$, where $α$ is a constant depending on the centrality and the centre of mass energy. Comparing our results with those obtained earlier for drag coefficients estimated using Langevin equation for heavy quarks we fin…
Particle production of an Abelian vector boson field with an axial coupling is investigated. The conditions for the generation of scale invariant spectra for the vector field transverse components are obtained. If the vector field contributes to the curvature perturbation in the Universe, scale-invariant particle production enables it to give rise to statistical anisotropy in the spectrum and bispectrum of cosmological perturbations. The axial coupling allows particle production to be parity violating, which in turn can generate parity violating signatures in the bispectrum. The conditions for…
Heavy-ion collisions create deformed quark-gluon plasma (QGP) fireballs which explode anisotropically. The viscosity of the fireball matter determines its ability to convert the initial spatial deformation into momentum anisotropies that can be measured in the final hadron spectra. A quantitatively precise empirical extraction of the QGP viscosity thus requires a good understanding of the initial fireball deformation. This deformation fluctuates from event to event, and so does the finally observed momentum anisotropy. We present a harmonic decomposition of the initial fluctuations in shape an…
The electromagnetic bremsstrahlung produced by a quark interacting with nucleons or nuclei is azimuthally asymmetric. In the light-cone dipole approach this effect is related to the orientation dependent dipole cross section. Such a radiation anisotropy is expected to contribute to the azimuthal asymmetry of direct photons in pA and AA collisions, as well as in DIS and in the production of dileptons.
We summarize some recent ideas relating to anisotropic particle production in high-energy collisions. Anisotropic gluon distributions lead to anisotropies of the single-particle azimuthal distribution and hence to disconnected contributions to multi-particle cumulants. When these dominate, the four-particle elliptic anisotropy $c_2\{4\}$ changes sign. On the other hand, connected diagrams for $m$-particle cumulants are found to quickly saturate with increasing $m$, a ``coherence'' quite unlike conventional ``non-flow'' contributions such as decays. Finally, we perform a first exploratory pheno…
We analyze the recent results for suppressed production of charged hadrons for Pb+Pb collisions at the center of mass energy of 2.76 TeV/nucleon-pair. We closely follow the treatment used recently by us where partons lose energy due to radiation of gluons following multiple scatterings while traversing the quark gluon plasma, before fragmenting into hadrons at the center of mass energy of 200 GeV/nucleon-pair. We obtain an empirical value for the momentum transport coefficient $(\widehat{q})$ and provide predictions for azimuthal anisotropy of hadron momenta for non-central collisions.
We investigate the azimuthal anisotropy $v_2$ of particle production in nucleus-nucleus collisions in the maximum entropy approach. This necessitates two new phenomenological input parameters $δ$ and $λ_2$ compared with integrated multiplicity distributions. The parameter $δ$ describes the deformation of a flux tube and can be theoretically calculated in a bag model with a bag constant which depends on the density of surrounding flux tubes. The parameter $λ_2$ defines the anisotropy of the particle distribution in momentum space and can be connected to $δ$ via the uncertainty relation. In this…
Photons produced in heavy ion collisions escape virtually unperturbed from the surrounding medium, thus representing an excellent probe of the conditions at the emission point. Using the gauge/gravity duality, we calculate the rate of photon production in an anisotropic, strongly coupled N=4 plasma with Nf<<Nc quark flavors. We consider arbitrary orientations of the photon momentum with respect to the anisotropic direction, as well as arbitrary values of the anisotropy. We present results for the correlation functions of two electromagnetic currents and for the electric conductivity. These qua…
Probing initial geometrical anisotropy and final azimuthal anisotropy in heavy-ion collisions at Large Hadron Collider energies through event-shape engineering
We study coherent diffractive dijet production in electron-hadron and electron-nucleus collisions within the dipole picture. We provide semi-analytic results for the differential cross section and elliptic anisotropy in the angle between dijet transverse momentum and hadron recoil momentum. We demonstrate the direct relation between angular moments of the dipole amplitude in coordinate space and angular moments of the diffractive dijet cross sections. To perform explicit calculations we employ two different saturation models, extended to include the target geometry. In the limit of large photo…
Multiplicity fluctuations at midrapidity in p+p collisions at high energies are described by a negative binomial distribution and exhibit approximate Koba-Nielsen-Olesen (KNO) scaling. We find that these KNO fluctuations are important also for reproducing the multiplicity distribution in d+Au collisions observed at RHIC, adding to the Glauber fluctuations of the number of binary collisions or participants. We predict that the multiplicity distribution in p+Pb collisions at the LHC also deviates little from the KNO scaling function. Finally, we analyze various moments of the eccentricity of the…
We investigate the azimuthal angular correlation between the lepton transverse momentum $P_\perp$ and the impact parameter $b_\perp$ in non-central heavy-ion collisions, where the leptons are produced through two-photon scattering. Among the Fourier harmonic coefficients, a significant $v_4$ asymmetry is found for the typical kinematics at RHIC and LHC with a mild dependence on the $P_\perp$, whereas $v_2$ is power suppressed by the lepton mass over $P_\perp$. This unique prediction, if confirmed from the experiments, shall provide crucial information on the production mechanism for the dilept…
We introduce distribution functions for quarks and gluons in the Glasma and discuss how they satisfy various relationships of statistical physics. We use these distributions to compute photon production in the early stages of heavy ion collisions. Photon rates satisfy geometric scaling, that is, the emission rate per unit area scales as a function of the saturation momenta divided by the transverse momentum of the photon. Photon distributions from the Glasma are steeper than those computed in the Thermalized Quark Gluon Plasma (TQGP). Both the delayed equilibration of the Glasma and a possible…
We calculate medium photons due to Compton and annihilation processes in an anisotropic media. The effects of time-dependent momentum-space anisotropy of {\em Quark-Gluon-Plasma} (QGP) on the medium photon production are discussed. Such an anisotropy can results from the initial rapid longitudinal expansion of the matter, created in relativistic heavy ion collisions. A phenomenological model for the time-dependence of the parton hard momentum scale, $p_{hard}(τ)$, and anisotropy parameter, $ξ(τ)$, has been used to describe the plasma space-time evolution. We find significant dependency of phot…
We investigate consequences of local energy-momentum conservation for initial eccentricity coefficients in heavy ion collisions at not too high energies relevant for CERN SPS and RHIC BES. Different models of energy density available for pion production are considered. We study dependence of eccentricity coefficients on space-time rapidity for different impact parameters. The naive formula how to define eccentricities breaks with our initial conditions and must be corrected. We predict considerable eccentricities for $ε_{1,2,3,4}$ and specific dependence on space-time rapidity as well as on im…
We extend the analysis of 1211.2199, where the photon production rate of an anisotropic strongly coupled plasma with Nf<<Nc massless quarks was considered. We allow here for non-vanishing quark masses and study how these affect the spectral densities and conductivities. We also compute another important probe of the plasma, the dilepton production rate. We consider generic angles between the anisotropic direction and the photon and dilepton wave vectors, as well as arbitrary quark masses and arbitrary values of the anisotropy parameter. Generically, the anisotropy increases the production rate…
I show that pair production on sunlight introduces a sizable anisotropy in the cosmic background of TeV gamma-rays. The anisotropy amplitude in the direction of the Sun exceeds the cosmic dipole anisotropy from the motion of the Sun relative to the cosmic rest-frame.
The effects of angular momentum conservation in peripheral heavy ion collisions at very high energy are investigated. It is shown that the initial angular momentum of the quark-gluon plasma should enhance the azimuthal anisotropy of particle spectra (elliptic flow) with respect to the usual picture where only the initial geometrical eccentricity of the nuclear overlap region is responsible for the anisotropy. In hydrodynamical terms, the initial angular momentum entails a non trivial dependence of the initial longitudinal flow velocity on the transverse coordinates. This gives rise to a non-va…
Minijets and jets are produced in large numbers in nuclear collisions at TeV energies, so that there are many of them in a single fireball. They deposit non-negligible amount of momentum and energy into the hydrodynamically expanding bulk and cause anisotropies of the expansion. Moreover, due to their multiple production in a single event the resulting anisotropies are correlated with the collision geometry and thus contribute positively also to event-averaged anisotropies in non-central collisions. Using simulations with three-dimensional ideal hydrodynamic model we demonstrate the importance…
An experimental overview of the energy dependence of strangeness production is presented. The strange hadrons are considered a good probe to study the QCD matter created in relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions. The heavy-ion experiments at SPS, RHIC, and LHC have recorded a wealth of data in proton-proton, proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions at several beam energies. In this proceeding, I discuss the invariant yield and azimuthal anisotropy measurement of strange hadrons in nucleus-nucleus collisions at SPS, RHIC, and LHC.
The polarization of virtual photons produced in relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions provides information on the conditions in the emitting medium. In a hydrodynamic framework, the resulting angular anisotropy of the dilepton final state depends on the flow as well as on the transverse momentum and invariant mass of the photon. We illustrate these effects in dilepton production from quark-antiquark annihilation in the QGP phase and $π^+π^-$ annihilation in the hadronic phase for a static medium in global equilibrium and for a longitudinally expanding system.
Anisotropy in heavy-ion collisions leads to polarization of both direct and virtual photons, the latter detected via internal conversion to dileptons pairs. Thus measurement of photon polarization probes the anisotropy at all stages of collisions. In order to characterize the polarization of virtual photons, we derive here the general structure of the photon polarization operator, rho^(mu nu), in an anisotropic medium, in terms of the four spectral functions, two transverse and one longitudinal, as usual, plus a new spectral function that reflects anisotropy in asymmetric collisions; and deriv…
Centrality and system geometry dependence of azimuthal anisotropy of charged hadrons measured in terms of the elliptic flow parameter are investigated using Au+Au event samples at incident beam energy $20$A GeV and $40$A GeV generated by Ultrarelativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics and A Multiphase Transport models. The Monte Carlo Glauber model is employed to estimate the eccentricity of the overlapping zone at an early stage of the collisions. Anisotropies present both in the particle multiplicity distribution and in the kinetic radial expansion are examined by using standard statistical and…
We extend the CGC approach to calculation of the double inclusive gluon production by including high-density effect in the CGC wave function of the projectile (proton). Our main result is that these effects lead to the appearance of odd harmonics in the two-particle correlation C(k,p). We find that in the high momentum limit, |k|,|p|>>Q_s, this results in a positive c_1{2}. Additionally when the magnitudes of the two momenta are approximately equal, |k|/|p| ~ 1, the density effects also generate a positive third harmonic c_3{2}, which translates into a non-vanishing v_3 when the momenta of the…
We investigate the possible thermalization process of the highly occupied and weakly coupled Yang-Mills fields expanding along the beam axis through an evaluation of the entropy, particle number, and pressure anisotropy. The time evolution of the system is calculated by solving the equation of motion for the Wigner function in the semiclassical approximation with initial conditions mimicking the glasma. For the evaluation of the entropy, we adopt the Husimi-Wehrl (HW) entropy, which is obtained by using the Husimi function, a positive semidefinite quantum distribution function given by smearin…
We calculate photon production from a quark-gluon plasma which is anisotropic in momentum space including the Compton scattering and quark/anti-quark annihilation processes. We show that for a quark-gluon plasma which has an oblate momentum-space anisotropy the photon production rate has an angular dependence which is peaked transverse to the beam line. We propose to use the angular dependence of high-energy medium photon production to experimentally determine the degree of momentum-space isotropy of a quark-gluon plasma produced in relativistic heavy-ion collisions.
Towards the end of the brane inflationary epoch in the brane world, cosmic strings (but not texture, domain walls or monopoles) are copiously produced during brane collision. These cosmic strings are D$p$-branes with $(p-1)$ dimensions compactified. We elaborate on this prediction of the superstring theory description of the brane world. Using the data on the temperature anisotropy in the cosmic microwave background, we estimate the cosmic string tension $μ$ to be around $G μ\simeq 10^{-7}$. This in turn implies that the anisotropy in the cosmic microwave background comes mostly from inflation…
Currently there exists no known way to construct the Stress-Energy Tensor $(T_{μν})$ of the produced medium in heavy ion collisions at strong coupling from purely theoretical grounds. In this paper, some steps are taken in that direction. In particular, the evolution of $T_{μν}$ at strong coupling and at high energies is being studied for early proper times $(τ)$. This is achieved in the context of the AdS/CFT duality by constructing the evolution of the dual geometry in an AdS$_5$ background. Improving the earlier works in the literature, the two incident nuclei have an impact parameter $b$ a…
The manuscript presents generalization of the Landau hydrodynamic solution for multiparticle production applied for non-central relativistic heavy ion collisions. Obtained solution enables to calculate anisotropy parameter $v_2$ for different rapidities with respect to the initial conditions for hydrodynamics.
