We obtain fundamental imbeddings for the fractional Sobolev space with variable exponent that is a generalization of well-known fractional Sobolev spaces. As an application, we obtain a-priori bounds and multiplicity of solutions to some nonlinear elliptic problems involving the fractional $p(\cdot)$-Laplacian.
This paper is concerned with the study of a nonlinear problems involving the fractional p(x)-Laplacian operator. By means of the Berkovits degree theory, we prove the existence of nontrivial weak solutions for this problem. The appropriate functional framework for this problems is the fractional Sobolev spaces with variable exponent.
This paper is devoted to study the nonlinear sequential fractional boundary value problems involving generalized $ψ$-Caputo fractional derivatives with nonlocal boundary conditions. We investigate the Green function and some of its properties, from which we obtain a new Lyapunov-type inequality for our problem. A lower bound for the possible eigenvalues of our problem is derived. Furthermore, we apply some properties of the Green function to obtain some existence results for our problem. It is worth mentioning that our results still work with some source functions including singularities.
In this paper, we show the existence of a sequence of eigenvalues for a Dirichlet problem involving two mixed fractional operators with different orders. We provide lower and upper bounds for the sum of the eigenvalues. Applications of mixed fractional operators with different orders include medicine, plasma physics, and population dynamics.
We study a class of fractional parabolic equations involving a time-dependent magnetic potential and formulate the corresponding inverse problem. We determine both the magnetic potential and the electric potential from the exterior partial measurements of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map.
Our aim in this article is to study semilinear elliptic equations involving a fractional Hardy operator, an absorption and a Radon source in a weighted distributional sense. We show various scenarios, produced by the combined effect of the fractional Hardy potential, the growth of the absorption term and the concentration of the measure, in which existence and uniqueness results holds.
In this paper we investigate fractional differential equations with Hilfer fractional derivative of order $1<γ<2$ and type $δ\in [0,1]$ in a Banach space. We introduce a family of general fractional cosine operator functions of order $1<γ<2$ and type $δ\in [0,1]$ and discuss their properties to give a suitable definition of mild solution of a semilinear evolution equation. In last section an example is presented.
We consider a fractional double phase Robin problem involving variable order and variable exponents. The nonlinearity $f$ is a Carathéodory function satisfying some hypotheses which do not include the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz type condition. By using Variational methods, we investigate the multiplicity of solutions.
We study the uncoupled space-time fractional operators involving time-dependent coefficients and formulate the corresponding inverse problems. Our goal is to determine the variable coefficients from the exterior partial measurements of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map. We exploit the integration by parts formula for Riemann-Liouville and Caputo derivatives to derive the Runge approximation property for our space-time fractional operator based on the unique continuation property of the fractional Laplacian. This enables us to extend early unique determination results for space-fractional but time-l…
In this paper, we are concerned with the ground state solutions of nonlinear fractional Schrödinger equation involving critical growth. Without Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition and monotonicity condition on the nonlinearity, we get the existence of ground state solutions of such equation when the potential $V(x)$ is not a constant and not radial.
In the present work we discuss higher order multi-term partial differential equation (PDE) with the Caputo-Fabrizio fractional derivative in time. We investigate a boundary value problem for fractional heat equation involving higher order Caputo-Fabrizio derivatives in time-variable. Using method of separation of variables and integration by parts, we reduce fractional order PDE to the integer order. We represent explicit solution of formulated problem in particular case by Fourier series.
In this paper, general quaternionic structure are developed for the local fractional Moisil-Teodorescu operator in Cantor-type cylindrical and spherical coordinate systems. Two examples for the Helmholtz equation with local fractional derivatives on the Cantor sets are shown by making use of this local fractional Moisil-Teodorescu operator.
We prove the existence of infinitely many solutions to an elliptic problem by borrowing the techniques from algebraic topology. The solution(s) thus obtained will also be proved to be bounded.
In this paper we study a semilinear problem for the fractional laplacian that are the counterpart of the Neumann problems in the classical setting. We show uniqueness of minimal energy solutions for small domains.
We develop a new generalized form of the fractional kinetic equation involving a generalized k-Bessel function. The generalized $k$-Mittag-leffler function $E^{γ,q}_{k,α,β}(.)$ is discussed in terms of the solution of the fractional kinetic equation in the present paper. The results obtained here are quite general in nature and capable of yielding known and as well new results.
In this paper, we study the existence of three solutions for a Kirchhoff equation involving the nonlocal fractional p-Laplacian considering Sobolev and Hardy nonlinearities at subcritical and critical growths. The proof is based on Mountain Pass Theorem, Ekeland's variational principle and constrained minimization in Nehari sets.
We study the combined effect of concave and convex nonlinearities on the number of positive solutions for a fractional system involving critical Sobolev exponents. With the help of the Nehari manifold, we prove that the system admits at least two positive solutions when the pair of parameters $(λ,μ)$ belongs to a suitable subset of $\R^2$.
We study a class of fractional semilinear elliptic equations and formulate the corresponding Calderón problem. We determine the nonlinearity from the exterior partial measurements of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map by using first order linearization and the Runge approximation property.
The main goal of this paper is the study of two kinds of nonlinear problems depending on parameters in unbounded domains. Using a nonstandard variational approach, we first prove the existence of bounded solutions for nonlinear eigenvalue problems involving the fractional Laplace operator and nonlinearities that have subcritical growth. In the second part, based on a variational principle of Ricceri [16], we study a fractional nonlinear problem with two parameters and prove the existence of multiple solutions.
In this paper we study the existence of a least energy sign-changing solution to a nonlocal elliptic PDE involving singularity by using the Nehari manifold method, the constraint variational method and Brouwer degree theory.
In this article we study the existence of weak solution, existence of ground state solution using Nehari manifold and existence of infinitely many solutions using Fountain theorem and Dual fountain theorem for a class of doubly nonlocal Kirchhoff-Choquard type equations involving the variable-order fractional $p(\cdot)-$ Laplacian operator. Here the nonlinearity does not satisfy the well known Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz type condition.
In this paper we prove the existence of infinitely many nontrivial solutions for the class of $(p,\, q)$ fractional elliptic equations involving concave-critical nonlinearities in bounded domains in $\mathbb{R}^N$. Further, when the nonlinearity is of convex-critical type, we establish the multiplicity of nonnegative solutions using variational methods. In particular, we show the existence of at least $cat_Ω(Ω)$ nonnegative solutions.
In this paper, we study the existence of solutions for the new fractinal Robin equations with variable exponents. Moreover, we deal with the logarithm-type nonlinearity. In particular, we consider two cases: critical and subcritical cases.
We obtain existence, multiplicity, and bifurcation results for the Brezis-Nirenberg problem for the fractional $p$\nobreakdash-Laplacian operator, involving critical Hardy-Sobolev exponents. Our results are mainly extend results in the literature for $α=0$. In the absence of an explicit formula for a minimizer in the fractional Hardy-Sobolev inequality $α\not= 0$, we get around this difficulty by working with certain asymptotic estimates for minimizers recently obtained in \cite{MM}.
Let $0<α<2$ be any real number. In this paper, we investigate the following semilinear equations involving the fractional Laplacian \begin{equation}(-\bigtriangleup)^{α/2} u(x)=f(u),\end{equation} on $\mathbb{R}^n$ and $\mathbb{R}^n_+$. Applying a direct method of moving planes for the fractional Laplacian, we prove symmetry and nonexistence of positive solutions on $\mathbb{R}^n$ and $\mathbb{R}^n_+$ under mild conditions on $f$.
This paper studies Langevin equation with nonlocal boundary conditions involving a $ψ$--Caputo fractional derivatives operator. By the aide of fixed point techniques of Krasnoselskii and Banach, we derive new results on existence and uniqueness of the problem at hand. Further, the $ψ$-fractional Gronwall inequality and $ψ$--fractional integration by parts are employed to prove Ulam--Hyers and Ulam--Hyers--Rassias stability for the solutions. Examples are gifted to demonstrate the advantage of our major results. The proposed results here are more general than the existing results in the literat…
In this paper, we consider a fractional p-Laplacian system with both concave-convex nonlinearities and sign-changing weight functions in bounded domains. With the help of the Nehari\ manifold, we prove that the system has at least two nontrivial solutions when the pair of the parameters $(λ,μ)$ belongs to a certain subset of $\mathbb{R}^{n}$
In this paper, we consider the nonlocal elliptic problems in $\mathbb{R}^{N}$, which involve finite many critical exponents. By using endpoint refined Hardy--Sobolev inequality, fractional Coulomb--Sobolev space and variational method, we establish the existence of nonnegative solution. Our results generalize some results obtained by Yang and Wu [Adv. Nonlinear Stud. (2017) \cite{Yang2017}].
In this paper, we consider a non-local diffusion equation involving the fractional $p(x)$-Laplacian with nonlinearities of variable exponent type. Employing the sub-differential approach we establish the existence of local solutions. By combining the potential well theory with the Nehari manifold, we obtain the existence of global solutions and finite time blow-up of solutions. Moreover, we study the asymptotic stability of global solutions as time goes to infinity in some variable exponent Lebesgue spaces.
We analyze the interior controllability problem for a nonlocal Schrödinger equation involving the fractional Laplace operator $(-Δ)^s$, $s\in(0,1)$, on a bounded $C^{1,1}$ domain $Ω\subset\mathbb{R}^n$. The controllability from a neighborhood of the boundary of the domain is obtained for exponents $s$ in the interval $[1/2,1)$, while for $s<1/2$ the equation is shown to be not controllable. The results follow applying the multiplier method, joint with a Pohozaev-type identity for the fractional Laplacian, and from an explicit computation of the spectrum of the operator in the one-dimensional c…

In this paper, we study the existence of multiple positive solutions for a class of fractional Schrödinger-Poisson systems involving sign-changing potential and critical nonlinearities on an unbounded domain. With the help of Nehari manifold and Ljusternik-Schnirelmann category, we investigate how the coefficient $g(x)$ of the critical nonlinearity affects the number of positive solutions. Moreover, we present a novel relationship between the number of positive solutions and the category of the global maximum set of $g(x)$.
In this paper, we study the existence of least energy sign-changing solutions for a Kirchhoff-type problem involving the fractional Laplacian operator. By using the constraint variational method and quantitative deformation lemma, we obtain a least energy nodal solution ub for the given problem. Moreover, we show that the energy of ub is strictly larger than twice the ground state energy. We also give a convergence property of u_b as b goes to 0, where b is regarded as a parameter.
We study the existence of least energy sign-changing solution for the fractional equation $(-Δ)^{s} u=|u|^{2_{s}^{*}-2}u+λf(x,u)$ in a smooth bounded domain $Ω$ of $\mathbb{R}^{N},$ $u=0$ in $\mathbb{R}^{N}\setminus Ω$, where $s\in (0,1)$ and $2_{s}^{*}$ is the fractional critical Sobolev exponent. The proof is based on constrained minimization in a subset of Nehari manifold, containing all the possible sign-changing solutions of the equation.
In this work, we consider a number of boundary-value problems for time-fractional heat equation with the recently introduced Caputo-Fabrizio derivative. Using the method of separation of variables, we prove a unique solvability of the stated problems. Moreover, we have found an explicit solution to certain initial value problem for Caputo-Fabrizio fractional order differential equation by reducing the problem to a Volterra integral equation. Different forms of solution were presented depending on the values of the parameter appeared in the problem.
In this manuscript, we will study the asymptotic behavior for a class of nonlocal diffusion equations associated with the weighted fractional $\wp(\cdot)-$Laplacian operator involving constant/variable exponent. In the case of constant exponents, under some appropriate conditions, we will study the existence of solutions and asymptotic behavior of solutions by employing the subdifferential approach and we will study the problem when $\wp$ goes to $\infty$. Already, for case the weighted fractional $\wp(\cdot)$-Laplacian operator, we will also study the asymptotic behavior of the problem soluti…
In this paper we prove compact embedding of a subspace of the fractional Orlicz-Sobolev space $W^{s, G}\left(\mathbb{R}^{N}\right)$ consisting of radial functions, our target embedding spaces are of Orlicz type. Also, we prove a Lions and Lieb type results for $W^{s,G}\left(\mathbb{R}^{N}\right)$ that works together in a particular way to get a sequence whose the weak limit is nontrivial. As an application, we study the existence of solutions to Quasilinear elliptic problems in the whole space $\mathbb{R}^N$ involving the fractional $g-$Laplacian operator, where the conjugated function $\widet…

In particular, we study the fractional elliptic problem, $$ (-Δ)^{α-β} u= λ(-Δ)^{-β}u+ |u|^{p-1}u \quad\mbox{in} \quad Ω;\qquad u=0 \quad…
In this paper, we consider the following nonlinear system involving the fractional Laplacian \begin{equation} \left\{\begin{array}{ll} (-Δ)^{s} u (x)= f(u,\,v), \\ (-Δ)^{s} v (x)= g(u,\,v), \end{array} \right. (1) \end{equation} in two different types of domains, one is bounded, and the other is unbounded, where $0<s<1$. To investigate the qualitative properties of solutions for fractional equations, the conventional methods are extension method and moving planes method. However, the above methods have technical limits in asymmetric and convex domains and so on. In this work, we employ the dir…
