A system of quantum computing structures is introduced and proven capable of making emerge, on average, the orbits of classical bounded nonlinear maps on \mathbb{C} through the iterative action of path-dependent quantum gates. The effects of emerging nonlinear dynamics and chaos upon the quantum averages of relevant observables and quantum probabilities are exemplified for a version of Chirikov's standard map on \mathbb{C} . Both the individual orbits and ensemble properties are addressed so that the Poincaré map for Chirikov's standard map, in the current quantum setting, is reinterpreted in terms of a quantum ensemble which is then formally introduced within the formalized system of quantum computing structures, in terms of quantum register machines, revealing three phases of quantum ensemble dynamics: the regular, the chaotic and an intermediate phase called complex quantum stochastic phase which shares similarities to the edge of chaos notion from classical cellular automata and classical random boolean networks' evolutionary computation.

Reservoir computing(RC) is a brain-inspired computing framework that employs a transient dynamical system whose reaction to an input signal is transformed to a target output. One of the central problems in RC is to find a reliable reservoir with a large criticality, since computing performance of a reservoir is maximized near the phase transition. In this work, we propose a continuous reservoir that utilizes transient dynamics of coupled chaotic oscillators in a critical regime where sudden amplitude death occurs. This "explosive death" not only brings the system a large criticality which prov…

Forecasting the behavior of high-dimensional dynamical systems using machine learning requires efficient methods to learn the underlying physical model. We demonstrate spatiotemporal chaos prediction using a machine learning architecture that, when combined with a next-generation reservoir computer, displays state-of-the-art performance with a computational time $10^3-10^4$ times faster for training process and training data set $\sim 10^2$ times smaller than other machine learning algorithms. We also take advantage of the translational symmetry of the model to further reduce the computational…
We extract the information of a quantum motion and decode it into a certain orbit via a single measurable quantity. Such that a quantum chaotic system can be reconstructed as a chaotic attractor. Two configurations for reconstructing this certain orbit are illustrated, which interpret quantum chaotic motions from the perspectives of probabilistic nature and the uncertainty principle, respectively. We further present a strategy to import classical chaos to a quantum system, revealing a connection between the classical and quantum worlds.

研究了半导体(InAs/GaAs,Si/SiO2)双量子点(DQD)中单电子能级的统计特性。我们证明了在电子耦合混沌量子点中,具有能级排斥的混沌消失,最近邻能级统计变为泊松统计。并结合R.S. Whitney at al.(Phys. Rev. Lett. { \bf 102},186802(2009))。
A Kerr-nonlinear parametric oscillator (KPO) can generate a quantum superposition of two oscillating states, known as a Schrödinger cat state, via quantum adiabatic evolution, and can be used as a qubit for gate-based quantum computing and quantum annealing. In this work, we investigate complex dynamics, i.e., chaos, in two coupled nondissipative KPOs at a few-photon level. After showing that a classical model for this system is nonintegrable and consequently exhibits chaotic behavior, we provide quantum counterparts for the classical results, which are quantum versions of the Poincaré surface…
A nonlinear stimulated Raman adiabatic passage (STIRAP) is a fascinating physical process that dynamically explores chaotic and non-chaotic phases. In a recent paper Phys. Rev. Res. 2, 042004 (R) (2020), such a phenomenon is realized in a cavity-QED platform. There, the emergence of chaos and its impact on STIRAP efficiency are mainly demonstrated in the semiclassical limit. In the present paper I treat the problem in a fully quantum many-body framework. With the aim of extracting quantum signatures of a classically chaotic system, it is shown that an out-of-time-ordered correlator (OTOC) meas…
Time-delay signature (TDS) suppression of semiconductor lasers with external optical feedback is necessary to ensure the security of chaos-based secure communications. Here we numerically and experimentally demonstrate a technique to effectively suppress the TDS of chaotic lasers using quantum noise. The TDS and dynamical complexity are quantified using the autocorrelation function and normalized permutation entropy at the feedback delay time, respectively. Quantum noise from quadrature fluctuations of vacuum state is prepared through balanced homodyne measurement. The effects of strength and …
