A degenerate Fermi gas is rapidly quenched into the regime of strong effective repulsion near a Feshbach resonance. The spin fluctuations are monitored using speckle imaging and, contrary to several theoretical predictions, the samples remain in the paramagnetic phase for arbitrarily large scattering length. Over a wide range of interaction strengths a rapid decay into bound pairs is observed over times on the order of 10\hbar/E_F, preventing the study of equilibrium phases of strongly repulsive fermions. Our work suggests that a Fermi gas with strong short-range repulsive interactions does not undergo a ferromagnetic phase transition.
We study the decay of two repulsively interacting bosons tunneling through a delta potential barrier by direct numerical solution of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. The solutions are analyzed according to the regions of particle presence: both particles inside the trap (in-in), one particle in and one particle out (in-out), and both particles outside (out-out). It is shown that the in-in probability is dominated by exponential decay, and its decay rate is predicted very well from outgoing boundary conditions. Up to a certain range of interaction strength the decay of in-out probabilit…
We investigate the superfluid state of repulsively interacting three-component (color) fermionic atoms in optical lattices. When the anisotropy of the three repulsive interactions is strong, atoms of two of the three colors form Cooper pairs and atoms of the third color remain a Fermi liquid. An effective attractive interaction is induced by density fluctuations of the third-color atoms. This superfluid state is stable against changes in filling close to half filling. We determine the phase diagrams in terms of temperature, filling, and the anisotropy of the repulsive interactions.
We investigate the effects of a repulsive three-body interaction on the Mott transition of the repulsively interacting three-component fermionic atoms in optical lattices by means of the self-energy functional approach. We find that the three-body repulsion hardly affects the qualitative features of the Mott transition, because the three-body repulsion does not compete with the two-body repulsions. When the three-body repulsion is extremely strong, the triple occupancy vanishes in the Fermi liquid state. This situation is equivalent to that caused by strong three-body losses. Our results imply…
The Néel state in fermionic mixtures of two pseudospin species in an optical lattice is analyzed at low temperatures. Experimentally it remains a challenge to demonstrate antiferromagnetic correlations in ultracold fermionic quantum gases. We find that, while in balanced systems the Néel order parameter can point in any spatial direction, in imbalanced mixtures antiferromagnetism is strictly perpendicular to the quantization axis (i.e., the z-axis). Since, experimentally, one always has to assume some minimal imbalance this should have important consequences for ongoing experiments.
We propose a Real-Space Gutzwiller variational approach and apply it to a system of repulsively interacting ultracold fermions with spin 1/2 trapped in an optical lattice with a harmonic confinement. Using the Real-Space Gutzwiller variational approach, we find that in system with balanced spin-mixtures on a square lattice, antiferromagnetism either appears in a checkerboard pattern or forms a ring and antiferromagnetic order is stable in the regions where the particle density is close to one, which is consistent with the recent results obtained by the Real-Space Dynamical Mean-field Theory ap…
We review our theoretical analysis of repulsively interacting three-component fermionic atoms in optical lattices. We discuss quantum phase transitions at around half filling with a balanced population by focusing on Mott transitions, staggered ordering, and superfluidity. At half filling (with 3/2 atoms per site), characteristic Mott transitions are induced by the anisotropic interactions, where two-particle repulsions between any two of the three colors have different strengths. At half filling, two types of staggered ordered states appear at low temperatures depending on the anisotropy of t…
Using dynamical mean-field theory and exact diagonalization we study the phase diagram of the repulsive Haldane-Hubbard model, varying the interaction strength and the sublattice potential difference. In addition to the quantum Hall phase with Chern number $C=2$ and the band insulator with $C=0$ present already in the noninteracting model, the system also exhibits a $C=0$ Mott insulating phase, and a $C=1$ quantum Hall phase. We explain the latter phase by a spontaneous symmetry breaking where one of the spin-components is in the Hall state and the other in the band insulating state.
Whether a spin-1/2 Fermi gas will become ferromagnetic as the strength of repulsive interaction increases is a long-standing controversial issue. Recently this problem is studied experimentally by Jo et al, Science, 325, 1521 (2009) in which the authors claim a ferromagnetic transition is observed. This work is to point out the results of this experiment can not distinguish whether the system is in a ferromagnetic state or in a non-magnetic but strongly short-range correlated state. A conclusive experimental demonstration of ferromagnetism relies on the observation of ferromagnetic domains.
We investigate the fundamental breathing mode of a small-sized elongated Bose-Einstein condensate coupled to a large Fermi sea of atoms. Our observations show a dramatic shift of the breathing frequency when the mixture undergoes phase separation at strong interspecies repulsion. We find that the maximum frequency shift in the full phase-separation limit depends essentially on the atom number ratio of the components. We interpret the experimental observations within a model that assumes an adiabatic response of the Fermi sea, or within another model that considers single fermion trajectories f…
We construct a variational wave function to study whether a fully polarized Fermi sea is energetically stable against a single spin flip. Our variational wave function contains sufficient short-range correlation at least to the same level as Gutzwiller's projected wave function. For Hubbard lattice model and continuum model with pure repulsive interaction, we show a fully polarized Fermi sea is generally unstable even when the repulsive strength becomes infinite. While for a resonance model, ferromagnetic state is possible if the s-wave scattering length is positive and sufficiently large, and…
Unconventional strongly correlated phases of the repulsive Fermi-Hubbard model, which could be emulated by ultracold vapors loaded in optical lattices, are investigated by means of energy minimizations with quantum number projection before variation and without any assumed order parameter. In a tube-like geometry of optical plaquettes to realize the four-leg ladder Hubbard Hamiltonian, we highlight the intertwining of spin-, charge-, and pair-density waves embedded in a uniform d-wave superfluid background. As the lattice filling increases, this phase emerges from homogenous states exhibiting …
We investigate a two-dimensional system of with two values of the internal (spin) degree of freedom. It is confined by a deformed harmonic trap and subject to a Zeeman field, Rashba or Dresselhaus one-body spin-orbit couplings and two-body short range repulsion. We obtain self-consistent mean-field $N$-body solutions as functions of the interaction parameters. Single-particle Spectra and total energies are computed and compared to the results without interaction. We perform a statistical analysis for the distributions of nearest neighbor energy level spacings and show that quantum signatures o…
We study a three-body system with zero-range interactions in a one-dimensional harmonic trap. The system consists of two spin-polarized fermions and a third particle which is distinct from two others (2+1 system). First we assume that the particles have equal masses. For this case the system in the strongly and weakly interacting limits can be accurately described using wave function factorized in hyperspherical coordinates. Inspired by this result we propose an interpolation ansatz for the wave function for arbitrary repulsive zero-range interactions. By comparison to numerical calculations, …
There is a growing interest in using cold-atom systems to explore the effects of strong interactions in topological band structures. Here we investigate interacting bosons in a Cruetz ladder, which is characterised by topological flat energy bands where it has been proposed that interactions can lead to the formation of bound atomic pairs giving rise to pair superfluidity. By investigating realistic experimental implementations, we understand how the lattice topology enhances the properties of bound pairs giving rise to relatively large effective pair-tunnelling in these systems which can lead…
We investigate the dynamics of two bosons trapped in an infinite one-dimensional optical lattice potential within the framework of the Bose-Hubbard model and derive an exact expression for the wavefunction at finite time. As initial condition we chose localized atoms that are separated by a distance of $d$ lattice sites and carry a center of mass quasi-momentum. An initially localized pair ($d=0$) is found to be more stable as quantified by the pair probability (probability to find two atoms at the same lattice site) when the interaction and/or the center of mass quasi-momentum is increased. F…
Correlation of interacting particles is studied in their dynamics and localization in ideal and disordered lattice systems with the help of numerical tools. Both 1D and 2D systems are considered. In 1D lattices with long-range hopping, differences between dynamics of attractively and repulsively interacting particles are noted. For calculations of 2D systems, a recursion based numerical algorithm for two-particle Greens functions is implemented which provides accurate results. Using this algorithm, spectral properties of 2D Hubbard and Hofstadter models is computed, along with localization par…
We study the effect of interactions on the bosonic two-particle quantum walk and its corresponding spatial correlations. The combined effect of interactions and Hanbury-Brown Twiss interference results in unique spatial correlations which depend on the strength of the interaction, but not on its sign. The results are explained in light of the two-particle spectrum and the physics of attractively and repulsively bound pairs. We experimentally measure the weak interaction limit of these effects in nonlinear photonic lattices. Finally, we discuss an experimental approach to observe the strong int…
We analyze when a repulsively interacting two-component Fermi gas becomes thermodynamically unstable against phase separation. We focus on the strongly polarised limit where the free energy of the homogeneous mixture can be calculated accurately in terms of well-defined quasiparticles, the repulsive polarons. Phase diagrams as a function of polarisation, temperature, mass imbalance, and repulsive polaron energy, as well as scattering length and range parameter are provided. We show that the lifetime of the repulsive polaron increases significantly with the interaction range and the mass of the…
We examine possible low-temperature phases of a repulsively Rydberg-dressed Fermi gas in a three-dimensional free space. It is shown that the collective density excitations develop a roton minimum, which is softened at a wavevector smaller than the Fermi wavevector when the particle density is above a critical value. The mean field calculation shows that unlike the insulating charge density waves states often observed in conventional condensed matters, a self-assembled metallic density wave state emerges at low temperatures. In particular, the density wave state supports a Fermi surface and a …
By analyzing breathing mode of a Bose-Einstein condensate repulsively interacting with a polarized fermionic cloud, we further the understanding of a Bose-Fermi mixture recently realized by Lous et al. [\textit{Phys. Rev. Lett.} \textbf{120}, 243403]. We show that a hydrodynamic description of a domain wall between bosonic and fermionic atoms reproduces experimental data of Huang et al. [\textit{Phys. Rev. A} \textbf{99}, 041602(R)]. Two different types of interaction renormalization are explored, based on lowest order constrained variational and perturbation techniques. In order to replicate …
We study a binary spin-mixture of a zero-temperature repulsively interacting $^6$Li atoms using both the atomic-orbital and the density functional approaches. The gas is initially prepared in a configuration of two magnetic domains and we determine the frequency of the spin-dipole oscillations which are emerging after the repulsive barrier, initially separating the domains, is removed. We find, in agreement with recent experiment (G. Valtolina et al., arXiv:1605.07850 (2016)), the occurrence of a ferromagnetic instability in an atomic gas while the interaction strength between different spin s…
We investigate antiferromagnetic order of repulsively interacting fermionic atoms in an optical lattice by means of Dynamical Mean-Field Theory (DMFT). Special attention is paid to the case of an imbalanced mixture. We take into account the presence of an underlying harmonic trap, both in a local density approximation and by performing full Real-Space DMFT calculations. We consider the case that the particle density in the trap center is at half filling, leading to an antiferromagnetic region in the center, surrounded by a Fermi liquid region at the edge. In the case of an imbalanced mixture, …
We investigate the formation of bound states made of two interacting atoms moving in a one dimensional (1D) quasi-periodic optical lattice. We derive the quantum phase diagram for Anderson localization of both attractively and repulsively bound pairs. We calculate the pair binding energy and show analytically that its behavior as a function of the interaction strength depends crucially on the nature -extended, multi-fractal, localized- of the single-particle atomic states. Experimental implications of our results are discussed.
We consider repulsively-interacting cold fermionic atoms loaded on an optical ladder lattice in a trapping potential. The density-matrix renormalization-group method is used to numerically calculate the ground state for systematically varied values of interaction U and spin imbalance p in the Hubbard model on the ladder. The system exhibits rich structures, where a fully spin polarized phase, spatially separated from other domains in the trapping potential, appears for large enough U and p. The phase-separated ferromagnetism can be captured as a real-space image of the energy gap between the f…
Many-body effects are at the very heart of diverse phenomena found in condensed-matter physics. One striking example is the Mott insulator phase where conductivity is suppressed as a result of a strong repulsive interaction. Advances in cold atom physics have led to the realization of the Mott insulating phases of atoms in an optical lattice, mimicking the corresponding condensed matter systems. Here, we explore an exotic strongly-correlated system of Interacting Dual Mott Insulators of bosons and fermions. We reveal that an inter-species interaction between bosons and fermions drastically mod…
Haldane fractional exclusion statistics (FES) has a long history of intense studies, but its realization in physical systems is rare. Here we study repulsively interacting Bose gases at and near a quantum critical point, and find evidences that such strongly correlated gases obey simple non-mutual FES over a wide range of interaction strengths in both one and two dimensions. Based on exact solutions in one dimension, quantum Monte Carlo simulations and experiments in both dimensions, we show that the thermodynamic properties of these interacting gases, including entropy per particle, density a…
We develop a non-Hermitian effective theory for a repulsively interacting Fermi gas in the excited branch. The on-shell $T$-matrix is employed as a complex-valued interaction term, which describes a repulsive interaction between atoms in the excited branch and a two-body inelastic decay to the attractive branch. To see the feature of this model, we have addressed, in the weak coupling regime, the excitation properties of a repulsive Fermi polaron as well as the time-dependent number density. The analytic expressions obtained for these quantities qualitatively show a good agreement with recent …
The Fermi-polaron problem of a mobile impurity interacting with fermionic medium emerges in various contexts, ranging from the foundations of Landau's Fermi-liquid theory to electron-exciton interaction in semiconductors, to unusual properties of high-temperature superconductors. While classically the medium provides only a dissipative environment to the impurity, quantum picture of polaronic dressing is more intricate and arises from the interplay of few- and many-body aspects of the problem. The conventional expectation for the dynamics of Fermi polarons is that it is dissipative in characte…
Using the time-dependent density matrix renormalization group method and exact diagonalization, we study the non-equilibrium dynamics of the one-dimensional Fermi-Hubbard model following a quantum quench or a ramp of the onsite interaction strength. For quenches from the non-interacting to the attractive regime, we investigate the dynamical emergence of Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) correlations, which at finite spin polarizations are the dominant two-body correlations in the ground state, and their signatures in the pair quasi-momentum distribution function. We observe that the post…
We characterize the Mott insulating regime of a repulsively interacting Fermi gas of ultracold atoms in a three-dimensional optical lattice. We use in-situ imaging to extract the central density of the gas, and to determine its local compressibility. For intermediate to strong interactions, we observe the emergence of a plateau in the density as a function of atom number, and a reduction of the compressibility at a density of one atom per site, indicating the formation of a Mott insulator. Comparisons to state-of-the-art numerical simulations of the Hubbard model over a wide range of interacti…
We show that a two-component mixture of a few repulsively interacting ultracold atoms in a one-dimensional trap possesses very different quantum regimes and that the crossover between them can be induced by tuning the interactions in one of the species. In the composite fermionization regime, where the interactions between both components are large, none of the species show large occupation of any natural orbital. Our results show that by increasing the interaction in one of the species, one can reach the phase-separated regime. In this regime, the weakly interacting component stays at the cen…
We calculate the frequency of collective modes of a one-dimensional repulsively interacting Fermi gas with high-spin symmetry confined in harmonic traps at zero temperature. This is a system realizable with fermionic alkaline-earth-metal atoms such as $^{173}$Yb, which displays an exact SU($κ$) spin symmetry with $κ\geqslant2$ and behaves like a spinless interacting Bose gas in the limit of infinite spin components $κ\rightarrow\infty$, namely high-spin bosonization. We solve the homogeneous equation of state of the high-spin Fermi system by using Bethe ansatz technique and obtain the density …
Ultracold Fermi gases with tuneable interactions represent a unique test bed to explore the many-body physics of strongly interacting quantum systems. In the past decade, experiments have investigated a wealth of intriguing phenomena, and precise measurements of ground-state properties have provided exquisite benchmarks for the development of elaborate theoretical descriptions. Metastable states in Fermi gases with strong repulsive interactions represent an exciting new frontier in the field. The realization of such systems constitutes a major challenge since a strong repulsive interaction in …
The zero-temperature and finite-temperature thermodynamics of two-component Fermi gases with finite-range attractive interaction suffer from fermion sign problem, which seems like an insurmountable problem in exact numerical simulations. In a recent work, we find a reliable method to simulate the thermodynamic properties of single-component Fermi gases for both noninteracting and repulsively interacting cases based on the method of parametrized partition function and the $ξ_E$ curve of constant energy. In the present work, this method is generalized to two-component Fermi gases with finite-ran…
We investigate the mean-field phase diagram of the Bose-Hubbard model with infinite-range interactions in two dimensions. This model describes ultracold bosonic atoms confined by a two-dimensional optical lattice and dispersively coupled to a cavity mode with the same wavelength as the lattice. We determine the ground-state phase diagram for a grand-canonical ensemble by means of analytical and numerical methods. Our results mostly agree with the ones reported in Dogra et al. [PRA 94, 023632 (2016)], and have a remarkable qualitative agreement with the quantum Monte Carlo phase diagrams of Flo…
We study a gas of repulsively interacting bosons in the first excited band of an optical lattice. We explore this p-band physics both within the framework of a standard mean-field theory as well as with the more accurate generalized Gutzwiller ansatz. We find the phase diagrams for two- and three-dimensional systems and characterize the first Mott-states in detail. Furthermore, we find that even though the p-band model has strongly anisotropic kinetic energies and inter-flavor interaction terms are missing in the lowest band theory, the mean-field theory becomes useful quite rapidly once the t…
We suggest a simple scheme for creating a NOON state of repulsively interacting Bose atoms in the double-well potential. The protocol consists of two steps. First, by setting atom-atom interactions to zero, the system is driven to the upper excited state. Second, the interactions is slowly increased and, simultaneously, the inter-well tunneling is decreased to zero. We analyze fidelity of the final state to the NOON state depending on the number of atoms, ramp rate, and fluctuations of the system parameters. It is shown that for a given fidelity the ramp rate scales algebraically with the numb…
Bosonic atoms confined in optical lattices are described by the Bose-Hubbard model and can exist in two different phases, Mott insulator or superfluid, depending on the strength of the system parameters. In the vicinity of the phase boundary, there are degeneracies that occur between every two adjacent Mott lobes. Because of this, nondegenerate perturbation theory fails to give meaningful results for the condensate density: it predicts a phase transition in a point of the phase diagram where no transition occurs. Motivated by this, we develop two different degenerate perturbative methods to so…
Strong electron correlations lie at the origin of transformative phenomena such as colossal magneto-resistance and high-temperature superconductivity. Already near room temperature, doped copper oxide materials display remarkable features such as a pseudo-gap and a "strange metal" phase with unusual transport properties. The essence of this physics is believed to be captured by the Fermi-Hubbard model of repulsively interacting, itinerant fermions on a lattice. Here we report on the site-resolved observation of charge and spin correlations in the two-dimensional (2D) Fermi-Hubbard model realiz…
We have created a triply quantum degenerate mixture of bosonic $^{41}$K and two fermionic species $^{40}$K and $^6$Li. The boson is shown to be an efficient coolant for the two fermions, spurring hopes for the observation of fermionic superfluids with imbalanced masses. We observe multiple heteronuclear Feshbach resonances, in particular a wide s-wave resonance for the combination $^{41}$K-$^{40}$K, opening up studies of strongly interacting {\it isotopic} Bose-Fermi mixtures. For large imbalance, we enter the polaronic regime of dressed impurities immersed in a bosonic or fermionic bath.
The dynamics of a single impurity in an environment is a fundamental problem in many-body physics. In the solid state, a well-known case is an impurity coupled to a bosonic bath, for example lattice vibrations. Here the impurity together with its accompanying lattice distortion form a new entity, a polaron. This quasiparticle plays an important role in the spectral function of high-Tc superconductors as well as in colossal-magnetoresistance in manganites. For impurities in a fermionic bath, the attention so far has been mostly on heavy or immobile impurities which exhibit Anderson's orthogonal…
Universal relations are important for understanding strongly interacting Fermi gases, the study of which have been mostly limited to cases with a single scattering channel. Here we discover a series universal relations for strongly interacting Fermi gases with multiple scattering channels. Unlike its counterpart across a single channel wide magnetic Feshbach resonance, a new kind of contact which we call the cross-channel contact naturally appears in this system, this contact is related to varies thermodynamic quantities as well as short range correlation functions.
We realize and study a strongly interacting two-component atomic Fermi gas confined to two dimensions in an optical lattice. Using radio-frequency spectroscopy we measure the interaction energy of the strongly interacting gas. We observe the confinement-induced Feshbach resonance and find the existence of confinement-induced molecules in very good agreement with theoretical predictions.
We measure the magnetic susceptibility of a Fermi gas with tunable interactions in the low-temperature limit and compare it to quantum Monte Carlo calculations. Experiment and theory are in excellent agreement and fully compatible with the Landau theory of Fermi liquids. We show that these measure- ments shed new light on the nature of the excitations of the normal phase of a strongly interacting Fermi gas.
The Stoner model predicts that a two-component Fermi gas at increasing repulsive interactions undergoes a ferromagnetic transition. Using the random-phase approximation we study the dynamical properties of the interacting Fermi gas. For an atomic Fermi gas under harmonic confinement we show that the transverse (spin-flip) dynamical susceptibility displays a clear signature of the ferromagnetic phase in a magnon peak emerging from the Stoner particle-hole continuum. The dynamical spin susceptibilities could be experimentally explored via spin-dependent Bragg spectroscopy.
We study the phase diagram of repulsively interacting spin-1 bosons in optical lattices at unit filling, showing that an externally induced quadratic Zeeman effect may lead to a rich physics characterized by various phases and phase transitions. We find that the main properties of the system may be described by an effective field model, which provides the precise location of the phase boundaries for any dimension, being in excellent agreement with our numerical calculations for one-dimensional systems. Our work provides a quantitative guide for the experimental analysis of various types of fie…
We report the experiment on probing the one-body spectral function in a trapped non-interacting $^{40}$K Fermi gas by means of the momentum-resolved Raman spectroscopy The experimental result is in good agreement with the expected quadratic dispersion in the non-interacting regime. Through the comparison with the radio-frequency spectrum, we found that the Raman spectrum shows some new characteristics.
We present path integral ground state (PIGS) quantum Monte Carlo calculations for the ground state ($T = 0$) properties of repulsively interacting bosons in a three-dimensional external double well potential over a range of interaction strengths and potential parameters. We focus our calculations on ground state number statistics and the one-body density matrix in order to understand the level of squeezing and fragmentation that the system exhibits as a function of interaction strength. We compare our PIGS results to both a two-mode model and a recently-proposed eight-mode model. For weak inte…
We analytically determine the properties of three interacting fermions in a harmonic trap subject to an external rotation. Thermodynamic quantities such as the entropy and energy are calculated from the third order quantum virial expansion. By parameterizing the solutions in the rotating frame we find that the energy and entropy are universal for all rotations in the strongly interacting regime. Additionally, we find that rotation suppresses the onset of itinerant ferromagnetism in strongly interacting repulsive three-body systems.
The induced interaction among the majority spin species, due to the presence of the minority species, is computed for the case of a population-imbalanced resonantly-interacting Fermi gas. It is shown that this interaction leads to an instability, at low temperatures, of the recently observed polaron Fermi liquid phase of strongly imbalanced Fermi gases to a p-wave superfluid state. We find that the associated transition temperature, while quite small in the weakly interacting BCS regime, is experimentally accessible in the strongly interacting unitary regime.
All-order momentum correlation functions associated with the time-of-flight spectroscopy of three spinless ultracold bosonic interacting neutral atoms confined in a linear three-well optical trap are presented. The underlying Hamiltonian employed for the interacting atoms is an augmented three-site Hubbard model. Our investigations target matter-wave interference of massive particles, aiming at the establishment of experimental protocols for characterizing the quantum states of trapped attractively or repulsively interacting ultracold particles, with variable interaction strength. The manifest…
A nonlinear transformation approach is formulated for the correlated fermions' thermodynamics through a medium-scaling effective action. An auxiliary implicit variable-effective chemical potential is introduced to characterize the non-Gaussian fluctuations physics. By incorporating the nonlocal correlation effects, the achieved grand partition function is made of coupled highly nonlinear parametric equations. Analytically, the low temperature expansions for the strongly interacting unitary Fermi gas are performed for the adiabatic compressibility-sound speed and specific heat with the Sommerfe…
We present a general mapping between continuous and lattice models of Bose- and Fermi-gases in one dimension, interacting via local two-body interactions. For s-wave interacting bosons we arrive at the Bose-Hubbard model in the weakly interacting, low density regime. The dual problem of p-wave interacting fermions is mapped to the spin-1/2 XXZ model close to the critical point in the highly polarized regime. The mappings are shown to be optimal in the sense that they produce the least error possible for a given discretization length. As an application we examine the ground state of a interacti…
This article introduces the "Goldilocks model" for a few repulsively interacting particles trapped in a one-dimensional harmonic well and provides exact solutions for the three-particle case. The Goldilocks model shares features with two other well-known systems, the Calogero model and the contact-interaction model, and coincides with them in limiting cases. However, those models have purely two-body interactions whereas this model has intrinsically few-body interactions. Comparing these three models provides clarifying distinctions among the properties of symmetry, separability and integrabil…
