In this paper, we will study some Arens regularity properties of module actions. Let $B$ be a Banach $A-bimodule$ and let ${Z}^\ell_{B^{**}}(A^{**})$ and ${Z}^\ell_{A^{**}}(B^{**})$ be the topological centers of the left module action $π_\ell:~A\times B\rightarrow B$ and the right module action $π_r:~B\times A\rightarrow B$, respectively. In this paper, we will extend some problems from topological center of second dual of Banach algebra $A$, $Z_1(A^{**})$, into spaces ${Z}^\ell_{B^{**}}(A^{**})$ and ${Z}^\ell_{A^{**}}(B^{**})$. We investigate some relationships between ${Z}_1({A^{**}})$ and topological centers of module actions. For an unital Banach $A-module$ $B$ we show that ${Z}^\ell_{A^{**}}(B^{**}){Z}_1({A^{**}})={Z}^\ell_{A^{**}}(B^{**})$ and as results in group algebras, for locally compact group $G$, we have ${Z}^\ell_{{L^1(G)}^{**}}(M(G)^{**})M(G)={Z}^\ell_{{L^1(G)}^{**}}(M(G)^{**})$ and ${Z}^\ell_{M(G)^{**}}({L^1(G)}^{**})M(G)={Z}^\ell_{M(G)^{**}}({L^1(G)}^{**})$. For Banach $A-bimodule$ $B$, if we assume that $B^*B^{**}\subseteq A^*$, then $~B^{**}{Z}_1(A^{**})\subseteq {Z}^\ell_{A^{**}}(B^{**})$ and moreover if $B$ is an unital as Banach $A-module$, then we conclude that $B^{**}{Z}_1({A^{**}})={Z}^\ell_{A^{**}}(B^{**})$. Let ${Z}^\ell_{A^{**}}(B^{**})A\subseteq B$ and suppose that $B$ is $WSC$, so we conclude that ${Z}^\ell_{A^{**}}(B^{**})=B$. If $\overline{B^{*}A}\neq B^*$ and $ B^{**}$ has a left unit $A^{**}-module$, then $Z^\ell_{B^{**}}(A^{**})\neq A^{**}$. We will also establish some relationships of Arens regularity of Banach algebras $A$, $B$ and Arens regularity of projective tensor product $A\hat{\otimes}B$.
It is known that every countable semigroup admits a weight w for which the semigroup algebra l_1(S,w) is Arens regular and no uncountable group admits such a weight; see [4]. In this paper, among other things, we show that for a large class of semigroups, the Arens regularity of the weighted semigroup algebra l_1(S,w) implies the countability of S.
In This paper, we study the concept of weakly almost periodic functions on Frechet algebras. For a Frechet algebra A, we show that WAP(A)=wap(A). We also show that A** is Arens regular if and only if both A and WAP(A)* are Arens regular. Finally, for a sequence of Frechet algebras (An), we prove that the Frechet algebra \ell^1-\prod An is Arens regular if and only if each An is Arens regular.
For Banach left and right module actions, we will establish the relationships between topological centers of module actions with some result in the weak amenability of Banach algebras.
Let $G$ be a locally compact group, $A_p (G)$ be the Herz algebra of $G$ associated with $1 <p< \infty$. We show that $A_p (G)$ is Arens regular if and only if $G$ is a discrete group and for each countable subgroup $H$ of $G$, $A_p (H)$ is Arens regular. In the case $G$ is a countable discrete group we investigate the relations between Arens regularity of $A_p (G)$ and the iterated limit condition. We consider the problem of Arens regularity of $l^1 (G)$ as a subspace of $A_p (G)$. A few related results when the unit ball of $(l^1 (G),.,A_p(G))$ is bounded under $\|.\|_1$-norm are also determ…
In this note, we study the Arens regularity of projective tensor product $A\hat{\otimes}B$ whenever $A$ and $B$ are Arens regular. We establish some new conditions for showing that the Banach algebras $A$ and $B$ are Arens regular if and only if $A\hat{\otimes}B$ is Arens regular. We also introduce some new concepts as left-weak$^*$-weak convergence property [$Lw^*wc-$property] and right-weak$^*$-weak convergence property [$Rw^*wc-$property] and for Banach algebra $A$, suppose that $A^*$ and $A^{**}$, respectively, have $Rw^*wc-$property and $Lw^*wc-$property. Then if $A^{**}$ is weakly amenab…

We establish some relationships between them and factorization properties of $A^*$ and $B^*$. We search some necessary and sufficient conditio…
Let $A$ be a Banach algebra and $A^{**}$ be the second dual of it. We also extend this new definition into module actions and find relationship between weak topological center of module actions and reflexivity or Arens regularity of some Banach algebras, and we investigate some applications of this new definition in the weak amenability of some Banach algebras.

In this paper, we look at the question of when various ideals in the Fourier algebra $A(G)$ or its closures $A_M(G)$ and $A_{cb}(G)$ in, respectively, its multiplier and $cb$-multiplier algebra are Arens regular. We show that in each case, if a non-zero ideal is Arens regular, then the underlying group $G$ must be discrete. In addition, we show that if an ideal $I$ in $A(G)$ has a bounded approximate identity, then it is Arens regular if and only if it is finite-dimensional.
In this paper, first we give a simple criterion for the Arens regularity of a bilinear mapping on normed spaces, which applies in particular to Banach module actions and then we investigate those conditions under which the second adjoint of a derivation into a dual Banach module is again a derivation. As a consequence of the main result, a simple and direct proof for several older results is also included.
In this article, for Banach left and right module actions, we will extend some propositions from Lau and $\ddot{U}lger$ into general situations and we establish the relationships between topological centers of module actions. We also introduce the new concepts as $Lw^*w$-property and $Rw^*w$-property for Banach $A-bimodule$ $B$ and we investigate the relations between them and topological center of module actions. We have some applications in dual groups.
We introduce the class of Beurling-Fourier algebras on locally compact groups and show that they are non-commutative analogs of classical Beurling algebras. We obtain various results with regard to the operator amenability, operator weak amenability and Arens regularity of Beurling-Fourier algebras on compact groups and show that they behave very similarly to the classical Beurling algebras of discrete groups. We then apply our results to study explicitly the Beurling-Fourier algebras on SU(2), the 2 $\times$ 2 unitary group. We demonstrate that how Beurling-Fourier algebras are closely connec…
Assume that $A$, $B$ are Banach algebras and $m:A\times B\to B$, $m^\prime:A\times A\to B$ are bounded bilinear mappings. We will study the relation between Arens regularities of $m$, $m^\prime$ and the Banach algebras $A$, $B$. For Banach $A-bimodule$ $B$, we show that $B$ factors with respect to $A$ if and only if $B^{**}$ is an unital $A^{**}-module$, and we define locally topological center for elements of $A^{**}$ and will show that when locally topological center of mixed unit of $A^{**}$ is $B^{**}$, then $B^*$ factors on both sides with respect to $A$ if and only if $B^{**}$ has a unit…
We focus on a question raised by Daws [Arens regularity of the algebra of operators on a Banach space, Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 36 (2004), 493-503] concerning the Arens regularity of B(X), the algebra of operators on a Banach space X. Among other things, we show that B(X) is Arens regular if and only if X is ultrareflexive .
Let $C$ and $R$ be unital rings and $Z$ an injective cogenerator for right $C$-modules. For an $R,C$-bimodule $U$ let $U^*=Hom_C(U,Z)$, $S=End_R(U)$ and $Biend_R(U)=End_S(U)$, the biendomorphism ring of $U$. Under suitable requirements on $U$ we show that $B:=Biend_R(U)$ can be identified with a subring of $\tilde{B}:=Biend_R(U^*)$,study conditions for the reverse inclusion and density of $B$ in $\tilde{B}$. In the case $C$ is contained in the center of $R$ we describe $Biend_R(R^*)$ in terms of the Arens products on $R^{**}$ and study Arens regularity of $R$ in the context of duality of modul…

Let $A$ be a Banach algebra with the second dual $A^{**}$. If $A$ has a bounded approximate identity $(=BAI)$, then $A^{**}$ is unital if and only if $A^{**}$ has a $weak^* bounded approximate $$identity(=W^*BAI)$. If $A$ is Arens regular and $A$ \noindent has a BAI, then $A^*$ factors on both sides. In this paper we introduce new concepts $LW^*W$ and $RW^*W$- property and we show that under certain conditions if $A$ has $LW^*W$ and $RW^*W$- property, then $A$ is Arens regular and also if $A$ is Arens regular, then $A$ has $LW^*W$ and $RW^*W$- property. We also offer some applications of these…
In this paper, we study some cohomlogical properties of Banach algebras. For a Banach algebra $A$ and a Banach $A$-bimodule $B$, we investigate the vanishing of the first Hochschild cohomology groups $H^1(A^n,B^m)$ and $H_{w^*}^1(A^n,B^m)$, where $0\leq m,n\leq 3$. For amenable Banach algebra $A$, we show that there are Banach $A$-bimodules $C$, $D$ and elements $\mathfrak{a}, \mathfrak{b}\in A^{**}$ such that $$Z^1(A,C^*)=\{R_{D^{\prime\prime}(\mathfrak{a})}:~D\in Z^1(A,C^*)\}=\{L_{D^{\prime\prime}(\mathfrak{b})}:~D\in Z^1(A,D^*)\}.$$ where, for every $b\in B$, $L_{b}(a)=ba$ and $R_{b}(a)=a b…
Weighted group algebras have been studied extensively in Abstract Harmonic Analysis where complete characterizations have been found for some important properties of weighted group algebras, namely amenability and Arens regularity. One of the generalizations of weighted group algebras is weighted hypergroup algebras. Defining weighted hypergroups, analogous to weighted groups, we study Arens regularity and isomorphism to operator algebras for them. We also examine our results on three classes of discrete weighted hypergroups constructed by conjugacy classes of FC groups, the dual space of comp…
As is well-know, on an Arens regular Banach algebra all continuous functionals are weakly almost periodic. In this paper we show that $\ell^1$-bases which approximate upper and lower triangles of products of elements in the algebra produce large sets of functionals that are not weakly almost periodic. This leads to criteria for extreme non-Arens regularity of Banach algebras in the sense of Granirer. We find in particular that bounded approximate identities (bai's) and bounded nets converging to invariance (TI-nets) both fall into this approach, suggesting that this is indeed the main tool beh…
Following Granirer, a Banach algebra A is extremely non-Arens regular when the quotient space A*/WAP(A) contains a closed linear subspace which has A* as a continuous linear image. We prove that the group algebra L^1(G) of any infinite locally compact group is always extremely non-Arens regular. When G is not discrete, this result is deduced from the much stronger property that, in fact, there is a linear isometric copy of L^\infty(G) in the quotient space L^\infty(G)/CB(G), where CB(G) stands for the algebra of all continuous and bounded functions on G.
We propose a new definition for a Banach algebra $\mathfrak{A}$ to be extremely non-Arens regular, namely that the quotient $\mathfrak{A}^\ast/\mathscr{WAP}(\mathfrak{A})$ of $\mathfrak{A}^\ast$ with the space of its weakly almost periodic elements contains an isomorphic copy of $\mathfrak{A}^\ast.$ This definition is simpler and formally stronger than the original one introduced by Granirer in the nineties. We then identify sufficient conditions for the predual $\mathfrak{V}_\ast$ of a von Neumann algebra $\mathfrak{V}$ to be extremely non-Arens regular in this new sense. These conditions are…

We also introduce the new concepts as $Lw^*w$-property and $Rw^*w$-property for Banach $A-bimodule$ $B$ and we obtain some conclusions in the topological center of module actions and Arens regularity of Banach algebras. we also study some factorization properties of left module actions and we find some relations of them and topological centers of module actions. For Banach algebra $A$, we exte…
We show that the amenability of a locally compact group $G$ is equivalent to a factorization property of $VN(G)$ which is given by $ VN(G) = <VN(G)^*VN(G)>$. This answer partially two problems proposed by Z. Hu and M. Neufang in their article \textit{Distinguishing properties of Arens irregularity}, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 137 (2009), no. 5, 1753-1761.
Let WAP(A) be the space of all weakly almost periodic functionals on a Banach algebra A. The Banach algebra A for which the natural embedding of A into WAP(A)* is bounded below is called a WAP-algebra. We show that the second dual of a Banach algebra A is a WAP-algebra, under each Arens products, if and only if A** is a dual Banach algebra. This is equivalent to the Arens regularity of A. For a locally compact foundation semigroup S, we show that the absolutely continuous semigroup measure algebra M_a(S) is a WAP-algebra if and only if the measure algebra M_b(S) is so.
In this paper, first we study some Arens regularity properties of module actions. We investigate some relationships between topological center of $A^{**}$, ${Z}_1({A^{**}})$ with respect to the first Arens product and topological centers of module actions ${Z}^\ell_{B^{**}}(A^{**})$ and ${Z}^\ell_{A^{**}}(B^{**})$. On the other hand, if $…
Let $ω$ be a weight function on a locally compact group G mand let $ M_* (G, ω) $ be the subspace of $ M(G , ω)^* $ consisting of all functionals that vanish at infinity. In this paper, we first investigate the Arens regularity of $ M_* (G, ω)^* $ and show that $ M_* (G, ω)^* $ is Arnes regular if and only if G is finite or $ ω$ is zero cluster. This result is an answer to the question posed and it improves some well-known results. We also give necessary and sufficient criteria for the weight function spaces $ Wap(G , 1/ ω) $ and $ Wap(G , 1/ ω) $ to be equal to $ C_b (G , 1/ ω) $. We prove th…
Let $\mathcal A$, $\mathcal B$ be Banach $\mathfrak A$-modules with compatible actions and $\mathcal M$ be a left Banach $\mathcal A$-$\mathfrak A$-module and a right Banach $\mathcal B$-$\mathfrak A$-module. In the current paper, we study module amenability, $n$-weak module amenability and module Arens regularity of the triangular Banach algebra $\mathcal T=[ {cc} \mathcal A & \mathcal M & \mathcal B ]$ (as an $\mathfrak T:=\Big{[ {cc} α& & α ] | α\in\mathfrak A\Big}$-module). We employ these results to prove that for an inverse semigroup $S$ with subsemigroup $E$ of idempotents, the triangul…
By extending the notion of Arens regularity of bilinear mappings, we say that a bounded trilinear map on Banach spaces id Aron--Berner regular when all its six Aron-Berner extensions to the bidual spaces coincide. We give some results on the Aron-Berner regularity of certain trilinear maps. We then focus on the bidual, $E^{**},$ of a Jordan banach triple system $(E,π)$, and investigate those conditions under which $E^{**}$ is itself a Jordan Banach triple system under each of the Aron-Berner extensions of the triple product $π.$ We also compare these six triple products with those arising from…
A canonical factorization is given for a quadratic pencil of accretive operators in a Hilbert space. Also, we establish some relationships between an m-accretive operator and its Moore-Penorse inverse. As an application, we study a result of existence, uniqueness, and maximal regularity of the strict solution for complete abstract second order differential equation in the non-homogeneous case. The paper is concluded with some questions left open from the preceding discussions.
Let $X,Y,Z$ and $W$ be normed spaces and $f:X\times Y\times Z\longrightarrow W $ be a bounded tri-linear mapping. In this Article, we define the topological centers for bounded tri-linear mapping and we invistagate thier properties. We study the relationships between weakly compactenss of bounded linear mappings and regularity of bounded tri-linear mappings. For both bounded tri-linear mappings $f$ and $g$, let $f$ factors through $g$, we present necessary and suficient condition such that the extensions of $f$ factors through extensions of $g$. Also we establish relations between regularity a…
Let $\mathcal{A}$ be a $C^*$-algebra, and consider the Banach algebra $\mathcal{A} \otimes_γ\mathcal{A}$, where $\otimes_γ$ denotes the projective Banach space tensor product; if $\mathcal{A}$ is commutative, this is the Varopoulos algebra $V_\mathcal{A}$. It has been an open problem for more than 35 years to determine precisely when $\mathcal{A} \otimes_γ\mathcal{A}$ is Arens regular. Even the situation for commutative $\mathcal{A}$, in particular the case $\mathcal{A} = \ell_\infty$, has remained unsolved. We solve this classical question for arbitrary $C^*$-algebras by using von Neumann alg…
Let ${\mathcal A}$ and ${\frak A}$ be Banach algebras such that ${\mathcal A}$ is a Banach ${\frak A}$-bimodule with compatible actions. We define the product ${\cal A}\rtimes{\frak A}$, which is a strongly splitting Banach algebra extension of ${\frak A}$ by $\cal A$. After characterization of the multiplier algebra, topological centre, (maximal) ideals and spectrum of ${\cal A}\rtimes{\frak A}$, we restrict our investigation to the study of semisimplicity, regularity, Arens regularity of ${\cal A}\rtimes{\frak A}$ in relation to that of the algebras $\cal A$, $\frak A$ and the action of $\fr…
Let $B$ be a Banach $A-bimodule$ and let $n\geq 0$. We investigate the relationships between some cohomological groups of $A$, that is, if the topological center of the left module action $π_\ell:A\times B\rightarrow B$ of $A^{(2n)}$ on $B^{(2n)}$ is $B^{(2n)}$ and $H^1(A^{(2n+2)},B^{(2n+2)})=0$, then we have $H^1(A,B^{(2n)})=0$, and we find the relationships between cohomological groups such as $H^1(A,B^{(n+2)})$ and $H^1(A,B^{(n)})$, spacial $H^1(A,B^*)$ and $H^1(A,B^{(2n+1)})$. We obtain some results in Connes-amenability of Banach algebras, and so for every compact group $G$, we conclude t…
