We propose an optoelectronic scheme to define and manipulate an indirect neutral exciton qubit within a quantum dot molecule. We demonstrate coherent dynamics of indirect excitons resilient against decoherence effects, including direct exciton spontaneous recombination. For molecules with large interdot separation, the exciton dressed spectrum yields an often overlooked avoided crossing between spatially indirect exciton states. Effective two level system Hamiltonians are extracted by Feshbach projection over the multilevel exciton configurations. An adiabatic manipulation of the qubit states is devised using time dependent electric field sweeps. The exciton dynamics yields the necessary conditions for qubit initialization and near unitary rotations in the picosecond time scale, driven by the system internal dynamics. Despite the strong influence of laser excitation, charge tunneling, and interdot dipole-dipole interactions, the effective relaxation time of indirect excitons is much longer than the direct exciton spontaneous recombination time, rendering indirect excitons as potential elemental qubits in more complex schemes.
Optical control of exciton fluxes is realized for indirect excitons in a crossed-ramp excitonic device. The device demonstrates experimental proof of principle for all-optical excitonic transistors with a high ratio between the excitonic signal at the optical drain and the excitonic signal due to the optical gate. The device also demonstrates experimental proof of principle for all-optical excitonic routers.
We report an optical characterization of ZnPSe$_3$ crystals that demonstrates indirect band gap characteristics in combination with unusually strong photoluminescence. We found evidence of interband recombination from excitonic states with microsecond lifetimes. Through optical characterization, we reconstructed the electronic band scheme relevant for fundamental processes of light absorption, carrier relaxation and radiative recombination. The investigation of the radiative processes in the presence of magnetic field revealed spin polarization of fundamental electronic states. This observatio…
The objective of this work is to numerically integrate in space and time the effective-mass Schrodinger equation for an excitonic wave packet in a coupled quantum-well system under a time-dependent electric field. Taking as a starting point a time-dependent Hartree potential, we derive the nonlinear dynamical evolution of the excitonic wave function. We found that the system resonant condition can be modified owing to the reaction field generated by a charge dynamically trapped in the quantum-well pair. As a result, this study raises a broader question: is it possible to create an electrostati…
Recently it was suggested that transient excitonic instability can be realized in optically-pumped two-dimensional (2D) Dirac materials (DMs), such as graphene and topological insulator surface states. Here we discuss the possibility of achieving a transient excitonic condensate in optically-pumped three-dimensional (3D) DMs, such as Dirac and Weyl semimetals, described by non-equilibrium chemical potentials for photoexcited electrons and holes. Similar to the equilibrium case with long-range interactions, we find that for pumped 3D DMs with screened Coulomb potential two possible excitonic ph…
Driven and non-equilibrium quantum states of matter have attracted growing interest in both theoretical and experimental studies in condensed matter physics. We review recent progress in realizing transient collective states in driven or pumped Dirac materials (DMs). In particular, we focus on optically-pumped DMs which have been theoretically proposed as a promising platform for observation of a transient excitonic instability. Optical pumping combined with the linear (Dirac) dispersion of the electronic spectrum offers a knob for tuning the effective interaction between the photoexcited elec…
Indirect excitons (IXs), also known as interlayer excitons, can form the medium for excitonic devices whose operation is based on controlled propagation of excitons. A proof of principle for excitonic devices was demonstrated in GaAs heterostructures where the operation of excitonic devices is limited to low temperatures. IXs in van der Waals transition-metal dichalcogenide (TMD) heterostructures are characterized by high binding energies making IXs robust at room temperature and offering an opportunity to create excitonic devices operating at high temperatures suitable for applications. Howev…
Indirect excitons (IXs) in van der Waals transition-metal dichalcogenide (TMD) heterostructures are characterized by a high binding energy making them stable at room temperature and giving the opportunity for exploring fundamental phenomena in excitonic systems and developing excitonic devices operational at high temperatures. We present the observation of IXs at room temperature in van der Waals TMD heterostructures based on monolayers of MoS$_2$ separated by atomically thin hexagonal boron nitride. The IXs realized in the TMD heterostructure have lifetimes orders of magnitude longer than lif…
It is shown that the strong Coulomb coupling in intrinsic suspended semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides can exceed the critical value needed for an excitonic ground state. The dipole-allowed optical excitations then correspond to intra-excitonic transitions such that the optically bright excitonic transitions near the Dirac points have a $p$-like symmetry whereas the $s$-like states are dipole forbidden. The large intrinsic coupling strength seems to be a generic property of the semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides and strong Coulomb-coupling signatures in the form of th…
In many atomically thin materials their optical absorption is dominated by excitonic transitions. It was recently found that optical selection rules in these materials are influenced by the band topology near the valleys. We propose that gate-controlled band ordering in a single atomic monolayer, through changes in the valley winding number and excitonic transitions, can be probed in helicity-resolved absorption and photoluminescence. This predicted tunable band topology is confirmed by combining an effective Hamiltonian and a Bethe-Salpeter equation for an accurate description of excitons, wi…
We report on the observation of spin dependent optically dressed states and optical Stark effect on an individual Mn spin in a semiconductor quantum dot. The vacuum-to-exciton or the exciton-to-biexciton transitions in a Mn-doped quantum dot are optically dressed by a strong laser field and the resulting spectral signature is measured in photoluminescence. We demonstrate that the energy of any spin state of a Mn atom can be independently tuned using the optical Stark effect induced by a control laser. High resolution spectroscopy reveals a power, polarization and detuning dependent Autler-Town…
We report on the kinetics of a low-temperature gas of indirect excitons in the optically-induced exciton trap. The excitons in the region of laser excitation are found to rapidly -- within 4 ns -- cool to the lattice temperature T = 1.4 K, while the excitons at the trap center are found to be cold -- essentially at the lattice temperature -- even during the excitation pulse. The loading time of excitons to the trap center is found to be about 40 ns, longer than the cooling time yet shorter than the lifetime of the indirect excitons. The observed time hierarchy is favorable for creating a dense…
We investigate the ground state of a balanced electron-hole system in the quantum Hall regime using mean-field theory and obtain a rich phase diagram as a function of interlayer distance d and the filling factor within a layer. We identify an excitonic condensate phase, an excitonic supersolid phase, as well as uncorrelated Wigner crystal states. We find that balanced electron-hole system exhibits a supersolid phase a wide range of filling factors, with different crystal structure ground states. We obtain the ground state stiffness in the excitonic phases and show that the phase transitions fr…
Monolayer C$_3$N is an emerging two-dimensional indirect band gap semiconductor with interesting mechanical, thermal, and electronic properties. In this work we present a description of C$_3$N electronic and dielectric properties, focusing on the so-called momentum-resolved exciton band structure. Excitation energies and oscillator strengths are computed in order to characterize bright and dark states, and discussed also with respect to the crystal symmetry. Activation of excitonic states is observed for finite transferred momenta: Indeed, we find an active indirect exciton at $\sim$ 0.9 eV, s…
The optical spectra of vertically stacked MoSe$_2$/WSe$_2$ heterostructures contain additional 'interlayer' excitonic peaks that are absent in the individual monolayer materials and exhibit a significant spatial charge separation in out-of-plane direction. Extending on a previous study, we used a many-body perturbation theory approach to simulate and analyse the excitonic spectra of MoSe$_2$/WSe$_2$ heterobilayers with three stacking orders, considering both momentum-direct and momentum-indirect excitons. We find that the small oscillator strengths and corresponding optical responses of the in…
The hydrodynamics equations for indirect excitons in the double quantum wells are obtained taking into account 1) a possibility of an exciton condensed phase formation, 2) the presence of a pumping, 3) the finite value of the exciton lifetime, 4) the exciton scattering by defects.New types of solutions in the form of bright and dark autsolitons are obtained for the exciton density. The role of localized and free exciton states is analyzed in a formation of the emission spectra.
The Forster resonant energy transfer mechanism (FRET) is investigated in optically driven and electrically gated tunnel coupled quantum dot molecules. Two novel FRET induced optical signatures are found in the dressed excitonic spectrum. This is constructed from exciton level occupation as function of pump laser energy and applied bias, resembling a level anticrossing spectroscopy measurement. We observe a redistribution of spectral weight and splitting of the exciton spectral lines. FRET among single excitons induces a splitting in the spatially-direct exciton lines, away from the anticrossin…
We study the photoluminescence dynamics of ultra-cold indirect excitons optically created in a double quantum well heterostructure. Above a threshold laser excitation, our experiments reveal the apparition of the so-called inner photoluminescence ring. It is characterized by a ring shaped photoluminescence which suddenly collapses once the laser excitation is terminated. We show that the spectrally resolved dynamics is in agreement with an excitonic origin for the inner-ring which is formed due to a local heating of indirect excitons by the laser excitation. To confirm this interpretation and …
We report experimental evidence identifying acoustic phonons as the principal source of the excitation-induced-dephasing (EID) responsible for the intensity damping of quantum dot excitonic Rabi rotations. The rate of EID is extracted from temperature dependent Rabi rotation measurements of the ground-state excitonic transition, and is found to be in close quantitative agreement with an acoustic-phonon model.
We report the observation of dressed states of a quantum dot. The optically excited exciton and biexciton states of the quantum dot are coupled by a strong laser field and the resulting spectral signatures are measured using differential transmission of a probe field. We demonstrate that the anisotropic electron-hole exchange interaction induced splitting between the x- and y-polarized excitonic states can be completely erased by using the AC-Stark effect induced by the coupling field, without causing any appreciable broadening of the spectral lines. We also show that by varying the polarizati…
An interesting approach to achieve quantum gate operations in a solid state device is to implement an optically driven quantum gate using two vertically coupled self-assembled quantum dots, a quantum dot molecule (QDM). We present a realistic model for exciton dynamics in InGaAs/GaAs QDMs under intense laser excitation and applied electric fields. The dynamics is obtained by solutions of the Lindblad master equation. A map of the dressed ground state as function of laser energy and applied electric field exhibits rich structure that includes excitonic anticrossings that permit the identificati…
We present a novel, counter-intuitive method, based on dark state protection, for significantly improving exciton transport efficiency through `wires' comprising a chain of molecular sites with an intrinsic energy gradient. Specifically, by introducing `barriers' to the energy landscape at regular intervals along the transport path, we find that undesirable radiative recombination processes are suppressed due to a clear separation of sub-radiant and super-radiant eigenstates in the system. This, in turn, can lead to an improvement in transmitted power by many orders of magnitude, even for very…
Indirect excitons (IX) in semiconductor heterostructures are bosons, which can cool below the temperature of quantum degeneracy and can be effectively controlled by voltage and light. IX quantum Bose gases and IX devices were explored in GaAs heterostructures where an IX range of existence is limited to low temperatures due to low IX binding energies. IXs in van der Waals transition-metal dichalcogenide (TMD) heterostructures are characterized by large binding energies giving the opportunity for exploring excitonic quantum gases and for creating excitonic devices at high temperatures. TMD hete…
Indirect excitons (IXs) are bound pairs of electrons and holes confined in spatially separated layers. We present wide single quantum well (WSQW) heterostructures with high IX mobility, spectrally narrow IX emission, voltage-controllable IX energy, and long and voltage-controllable IX lifetime. This set of properties shows that WSQW heterostructures provide an advanced platform both for studying basic properties of IXs in low-disorder environments and for the development of high mobility excitonic devices.
We study the screened dynamics of the nonequilibrium excitonic consensate forming in a bulk WSe$_{2}$ when illuminated by coherent light resonant with the lowest-energy exciton. Intervalley scattering causes electron migration from the optically populated K valley to the conduction band minimum at $Σ$. Due to the electron-hole unbalance at the K point a plasma of quasi-free holes develops, which efficiently screens the interaction of the remaining excitons. We show that this plasma screening causes an ultrafast melting of the nonequilibrium consensate and that during melting coherent excitons …
We report on the principle and realization of an excitonic device: a ramp that directs the transport of indirect excitons down a potential energy gradient created by a perforated electrode at constant voltage. The device provides an experimental proof of principle for controlling exciton transport with electrode density gradients. We observed that the exciton transport distance along the ramp increases with increasing exciton density. This effect is explained in terms of disorder screening by repulsive exciton-exciton interactions.
We studied, theoretically, the optical absorption spectra for a slightly asymmetric double quantum well (DQW), in the presence of electric and magnetic fields. Recent experimental results for a 10.18/3.82/9.61 nm GaAs Al(_{.33} )Ga(_{.67})As DQW show clearly the different behavior in the luminescence peaks for the indirect exciton (IX) and left direct exciton (DX) as a function of the external electric field. We show that the presence of a peak near the (DX) peak, attributed to an impurity bound left (DX) in the experimental results, could be a consequence of the non-trivial mixing between exc…
Long lifetimes of spatially indirect excitons (IXs), also known as interlayer excitons, make possible long-range IX propagation. Van der Waals heterostructures composed of atomically thin layers of transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) give an opportunity to realize excitons with high binding energies and provide a materials platform for the realization of both excitonic quantum phenomena and excitonic devices. Propagation of IXs in TMD heterostructures is intensively studied. However, in spite of long IX lifetimes, orders of magnitude longer than lifetimes of spatially direct excitons (DXs)…
Excitonic condensate has been long-sought within bulk indirect-gap semiconductors, quantum wells, and 2D material layers, all tried as carrying media. Here we propose intrinsically stable 2D semiconductor heterostructures with doubly-indirect overlapping bands as optimal platforms for excitonic condensation. After screening hundreds of 2D materials, we identify candidates where spontaneous excitonic condensation mediated by purely electronic interaction should occur, and hetero-pairs Sb2Te2Se/BiTeCl, Hf2N2I2/Zr2N2Cl2, and LiAlTe2/BiTeI emerge promising. Unlike monolayers, where excitonic conde…
While exciton relaxation in transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) has been intensively studied, spatial exciton propagation has received only little attention - in spite of being a key process for optoelectronics and having already shown interesting unconventional behaviours (e.g. spatial halos). Here, we study the spatiotemporal dynamics in TMDs and track the way of optically excited excitons in time, momentum, and space. In particular, we investigate the temperature-dependent exciton diffusion including the remarkable exciton landscape constituted by bright and dark states. Based on a full…
We propose a coherent control scheme based on the optical Stark effect in optically generated excitons in quantum dot molecules (QDMs). We show that, by the combined action of voltage bias detuning sweeps and Rosen-Zener pulsed interactions, it is possible to dynamically generate and modify an anticrossing gap that emerges between the dressed energy levels of long-lived, spatially indirect excitons. We perform numerical and analytic non-perturbative calculations based on the Bloch-Feshbach formalism, which demonstrate that this effect induces a mechanism of coherent population trapping of indi…
Transition-metal dichalcogenides can be easily produced as atomically thin sheets, exhibiting the possibility to optically polarize and read out the valley pseudospin of extremely stable excitonic quasiparticles present in these 2D semiconductors. Here, we investigate a monolayer of tungsten disulphide in high magnetic fields up to 30\,T via photoluminescence spectroscopy at low temperatures. The valley degeneracy is lifted for all optical features, particularly for excitons, singlet and triplet trions, for which we determine the g factor separately. While the observation of a diamagnetic shif…
Within the one-dimensional tight-binding minibands and on-site Coloumbic interaction approximation, the absorption spectrum and coherent wavepacket time evolution in an optically excited semiconductor superlattice driven by dc-ac electric fields are investigated using the semiconductor Bloch equations. The dominating roles of the ratios of dc-Stark to external ac frequency, as well as ac-Stark to external ac frequency, is emphasized. If the former is an integer ${\cal N}$, then also ${\cal N}$ harmonics are present within one Stark frequency, while the fractional case leads to the formation of…
The interaction of optically excited excitons in atomically thin semiconductors with residual doping densities leads to many-body effects which are continuously tunable by external gate voltages. Here, we develop a fully microscopic theory to describe the doping-dependent manipulation of the excitonic properties in atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenides. In particular, we establish a diagonalization approach for the Schrödinger equation which characterizes the interaction of a virtual exciton with the Fermi sea of dopants. Solving this many-body Schrödinger equation provides access t…
A simple method to create and control magnetic potentials onto coupled quantum wells is demonstrated for indirect-exciton magnetic confinement. Localized inhomogeneous magnetic potentials with periodically distributed local minima and maxima, known as magnetic lattices, are projected into the plane of the coupled quantum wells and used for the spatially distributed two-dimensional indirect-exciton trapping, in which case localized indirect-excitons are observed. The indirect-exciton trapping mechanism is examined by controlling external magnetic field bias resulting in a shift of the localized…
We study analytically the optical properties of a simple model for an electron-hole pair on a ring subjected to perpendicular magnetic flux and in-plane electric field. We show how to tune this excitonic system from optically active to optically dark as a function of these external fields. Our results offer a simple mechanism for exciton storage and read-out.
We report quantum coherent oscillations of photocapacitance of a double-barrier resonant tunneling heterostructure with bias at 10 K. Periodic presence and absence of sharp excitonic transitions in photocapacitance spectra with increasing bias demonstrate strong coupling between InAs quantum dots (0D) and triangular GaAs quantum well (2D). Coherent resonant tunneling in this 0D-2D heterostructure establishes the momentum space narrowing of excitonic Bose-Einstein Condensation. Drastic increase of indirect exciton densities below 70 K reveal that excitonic wave functions anchored with each InAs…
We demonstrate that an optically driven spin of a carrier in a quantum dot undergoes indirect dephasing via conditional optically induced charge evolution even in the absence of any direct interaction between the spin and its environment. A generic model for the indirect dephasing with a three-component system with spin, charge, and reservoir is proposed. This indirect decoherence channel is studied for the optical spin manipulation in a quantum dot with a microscopic description of the charge-phonon interaction taking into account its non-Markovian nature.
The influence of a random field induced by impurities, boundary irregularities etc. on the superfluidity of a quasi-two-dimensional (2D) system of spatially indirect excitons in coupled quantum wells is studied. The interaction between excitons is taken into account in the ladder approximation. The random field is allowed to be large compared to the dipole-dipole repulsion between excitons. The coherent potential approximation (CPA) allows us to derive the exciton Green's function for a wide range of the random field, and the CPA results are used in the weak-scattering limit, which results in …
The entanglement of an optically generated electron-hole pair in artificial quantum dot molecules is calculated considering the effects of decoherence by interaction with environment. Since the system evolves into a mixed states and due to the complexity of energy level structure, we use the negativity as entanglement quantifier, which is well defined in $d \otimes d^\prime$ composite vector spaces. By a numerical analysis of the non-unitary dynamics of the exciton states, we establish the feasibility of producing protected entangled superpositions by an appropriate tuning of bias electric fie…
The photoluminescence dynamics of a microscopic gas of indirect excitons trapped in coupled quantum wells is probed at very low bath temperature (approximately 350 mK). Our experiments reveal the non linear energy relaxation characteristics of indirect excitons. Particularly, we observe that the excitons dynamics is strongly correlated with the screening of structural disorder by repulsive exciton-exciton interactions. For our experiments where two-dimensional excitonic states are gradually defined, the distinctive enhancement of the exciton scattering rate towards lowest energy states with in…
For many applications of semiconductor quantum dots in quantum technology a well controlled state preparation of the quantum dot states is mandatory. Since quantum dots are embedded in the semiconductor matrix, the interaction with phonons plays often a major role in the preparation process. In this review, we discuss the influence of phonons on three basically different optical excitation schemes which can be used for the preparation of exciton, biexciton, and superposition states: a resonant excitation leading to Rabi rotations in the excitonic system, an excitation with chirped pulses explo…
The optically induced indirect exchange interaction between spins in two quantum dots is investigated theoretically. We present a microscopic formulation of the interaction between the localized spin and the itinerant carriers including the effects of correlation, using a set of canonical transformations. Correlation effects are found to be of comparable magnitude as the direct exchange. We give quantitative results for realistic quantum dot geometries and find the largest couplings for one dimensional systems.
Monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides are a promising platform to investigate many-body interactions of excitonic complexes. In monolayer tungsten diselenide, the ground-state exciton is dark (spin-indirect), and the valley degeneracy allows low-energy dark momentum-indirect excitons to form. Interactions between the dark exciton species and the optically accessible bright exciton (X) are likely to play significant roles in determining the optical properties of X at high power, as well as limiting the ultimate exciton densities that can be achieved, yet so far little is known about these …
We investigated excitonic absorptions in GaAs/AlAs/GaAs single barrier heterostructure using both photocapacitance and photocurrent spectroscopies at room temperature. Photocapacitance spectra show well defined resonance peak of indirect excitons formed around the Gamma-AlAs barrier. Unlike DC-photocurrent spectra, frequency dependent photocapacitance spectra interestingly red shift, sharpen up and then decrease with increasing tunneling at higher biases. Such dissimilarities clearly point out that different exciton dynamics govern these two spectral measurements. We also argue why such quantu…
The structure of the ground state exciton of Cd(Se,Te) quantum dots embedded in ZnTe matrix is studied experimentally using photoluminescence spectroscopy and theoretically using ${\bf k}\cdot{\bf p}$ and configuration interaction methods. The experiments reveal a considerable reduction of fine-structure splitting energy of the exciton with increase of Se content in the dots. That effect is interpreted by theoretical calculations to originate due to the transition from spatially direct (type-I) to indirect (type-II) transition between electrons and holes in the dot induced by increase of Se. T…
We analyse nonequilibrium phase transitions in microcavity polariton condensates trapped in optically induced annular potentials. We develop an analytic model for annular optical traps, which gives an intuitive interpretation for recent experimental observations on the polariton spatial mode switching with variation of the trap size. In the vicinity of polariton lasing threshold we then develop a nonlinear mean-field model accounting for interactions and gain saturation, and identify several bifurcation scenarios leading to formation of high angular momentum quantum vortices. For experimentall…
The variety of excitonic states in tungsten-based dichalcogenide monolayers stems from unique interplay between the spin and valley degrees of freedom. One of the exciton species is the indirect exciton (momentum or valley dark), which is responsible to a series of resonances when the monolayer is charge neutral. We investigate the short-range electron-hole exchange interaction of the indirect exciton, as well as its recombination mechanism mediated by impurities. The analysis provides thorough understanding of the energy and polarization of the zero-phonon indirect exciton resonance in the em…
Spatially indirect excitons with displaced wavefunctions of electrons and holes play a pivotal role in a large portfolio of fascinating physical phenomena and emerging optoelectronic applications, such as valleytronics, exciton spin Hall effect, excitonic integrated circuit and high-temperature superfluidity. Here, we uncover three types of spatially indirect excitons (including their phonon replicas) and their quantum-confined Stark effects in hexagonal boron nitride encapsulated bilayer WSe2, by performing electric field-tunable photoluminescence measurements. Because of different out-of-pla…
We show how optically-driven coupled quantum dots can be used to prepare maximally entangled Bell and Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states. Manipulation of the strength and duration of the selective light-pulses needed for producing these highly entangled states provides us with crucial elements for the processing of solid-state based quantum information. Theoretical predictions suggest that several hundred single quantum bit rotations and Controlled-Not gates could be performed before decoherence of the excitonic states takes place.
Ensembles of indirect or interlayer excitons (IXs) are intriguing systems to explore classical and quantum phases of interacting bosonic ensembles. IXs are composite bosons that feature enlarged lifetimes due to the reduced overlap of the electron-hole wave functions. We demonstrate electric Field control of indirect excitons in MoS2/WS2 hetero-bilayers embedded in a field effect structure with few-layer hexagonal boron nitrite as insulator and few-layer graphene as gate-electrodes. The different strength of the excitonic dipoles and a distinct temperature dependence identify the indirect exci…
Atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are direct-gap semiconductors with strong light-matter and Coulomb interaction. The latter accounts for tightly bound excitons, which dominate the optical properties of these technologically promising materials. Besides the optically accessible bright excitons, these systems exhibit a variety of dark excitonic states. They are not visible in optical spectra, but can strongly influence the coherence lifetime and the linewidth of the emission from bright exciton states. In a recent study, an experimental evidence for the existence of such d…
We present a systematic investigation of the electronic properties of bulk and few layer ReS$_2$ van der Waals crystals using low temperature optical spectroscopy. Weak photoluminescence emission is observed from two non-degenerate band edge excitonic transitions separated by $\sim$ 20 meV. The comparable emission intensity of both excitonic transitions is incompatible with a fully thermalized (Boltzmann) distribution of excitons, indicating the hot nature of the emission. While DFT calculations predict bilayer ReS$_2$ to have a direct fundamental band gap, our optical data suggests that the f…
The Andreev-Bashkin effect, or superfluid drag, is predicted in a system of Bose-condensed excitonic polaritons in optical microcavity coupled by electron-exciton interaction with a superconducting layer. Two possible setups with spatially indirect dipole excitons or direct excitons are considered. The drag density characterizing a magnitude of this effect is found by many-body calculations with taking into account dynamical screening of electron-exciton interaction. For the superconducting electronic layer, we assume the recently proposed polaritonic mechanism of Cooper pairing, although the …
