We show that, under mild assumptions on the limiting curve, a sequence of simple chordal planar curves converges uniformly whenever certain Loewner driving functions converge. We extend this result to random curves. The random version applies in particular to random lattice paths that have chordal $\mathrm {SLE}_κ$ as a scaling limit, with $κ<8$ (nonspace-filling). Existing $\mathrm {SLE}_κ$ convergence proofs often begin by showing that the Loewner driving functions of these paths (viewed from $\infty$) converge to Brownian motion. Unfortunately, this is not sufficient, and additional arguments are required to complete the proofs. We show that driving function convergence is sufficient if it can be established for both parametrization directions and a generic observation point.
In this article, we study multiple $SLE_κ$, for $κ\in(0,4]$, driven by Dyson Brownian motion. This model was introduced in the unit disk by Cardy in connection with the Calogero-Sutherland model. We prove the Carathéodory convergence of perturbed Loewner chains under different initial conditions and under different diffusivity $κ\in (0,4]$ for the case of $N=2$ driving forces. Our proofs use the analysis of Bessel processes and estimates on Loewner differential equation with multiple driving forces. In the last section, we estimate the Hausdorff distance of the hulls under perturbations of the…
We establish a large deviation principle for chordal SLE$_κ$ parametrized by capacity, as the parameter $κ\to 0+$, in the topology generated by uniform convergence on compact intervals of the positive real line. The rate function is shown to equal the Loewner energy of the curve. This strengthens the recent result of E. Peltola and Y. Wang who obtained the analogous statement using the Hausdorff topology.
We introduce the class of controlled Loewner-Kufarev equations and consider aspects of their algebraic nature. We lift the solution of such a controlled equation to the (Sato)-Segal-Wilson Grassmannian, and discuss its relation with the tau-function. We briefly highlight relations of the Grunsky matrix with integrable systems and conformal field theory. Our main result is the explicit formula which expresses the solution of the controlled equation in terms of the signature of the driving function through the action of words in generators of the Witt algebra.
We provide an order of convergence for a version of the Carathéodory convergence for the multiple SLE model with a Dyson Brownian motion driver towards its hydrodynamic limit, for $β=1$ and $β=2$. The result is obtained by combining techniques from the field of Schramm-Loewner Evolutions with modern techniques from random matrices. Our approach shows how one can apply modern tools used in the proof of universality in random matrix theory, in the field of Schramm-Loewner Evolutions.
We use the interpretation of the Schramm-Loewner evolution as a limit of path measures tilted by a loop term in order to motivate the definition of $n$-radial SLE going to a particular point. In order to justify the definition we prove that the measure obtained by an appropriately normalized loop term on $n$-tuples of paths has a limit. The limit measure can be described as $n$ paths moving by the Loewner equation with a driving term of Dyson Brownian motion. While the limit process has been considered before, this paper shows why it naturally arises as a limit of configurational measures obta…
In this paper, we shall study the convergence of Taylor approximations for the backward Loewner differential equation (driven by Brownian motion) near the origin. More concretely, whenever the initial condition of the backward Loewner equation (which lies in the upper half plane) is small and has the form $Z_{0} = \varepsilon i$, we show these approximations exhibit an $O(\varepsilon)$ error provided the time horizon is $\varepsilon^{2+δ}$ for $δ> 0$. Statements of this theorem will be given using both rough path and $L^{2}(\mathbb{P})$ estimates. Furthermore, over the time horizon of $\vareps…
In the paper we prove that, for $κ\in(0,8)$, the $n$-point boundary Green's function of exponent $\frac8κ-1$ for chordal SLE$_κ$ exists. We also prove that the convergence is uniform over compact sets and the Green's function is continuous. We also give up-to-constant bounds for the Green's function.
We describe the Loewner chains of the real locus of a class of real rational functions whose critical points are on the real line. Our main result is that the poles of the rational function lead to explicit formulas for the dynamical system that governs the driving functions. Our formulas give a simple method for mapping the class of rational functions into solutions to a non-trivial system of quadratic equations, and for directly showing that the curves in the real locus satisfy geometric commutation and have the geodesic multichord property. These results are entirely self-contained and have…
We set the foundation for a series of works aimed at proving strong relations between uniform random planar maps and Liouville quantum gravity (LQG). Our method relies on a bijective encoding of site-percolated planar triangulations by certain 2D lattice paths. Our bijection parallels in the discrete setting the \emph{mating-of-trees} framework of LQG and Schramm-Loewner evolutions (SLE) introduced by Duplantier, Miller, and Sheffield. Combining these two correspondences allows us to relate uniform site-percolated triangulations to $\sqrt{8/3}$-LQG and SLE$_6$. In particular, we establish the …
This paper studies the limit of a kinetic evolution equation involving a small parameter and driven by a random process which also scales with the small parameter. In order to prove the convergence in distribution to the solution of a stochastic diffusion equation while removing a boundedness assumption on the driving random process, we adapt the method of perturbed test functions to work with stopped martingales problems.
We propose a spectral viscosity method (SVM) to approximate the incompressible Euler equations driven by a multiplicative noise. We show that SVM solution converges to a dissipative measure-valued martingale solution. These solutions are weak in the probabilistic sense i.e. the probability space and the driving Wiener process are an integral part of the solution. We also exhibit weak (measure-valued)-strong uniqueness principle. Moreover, we establish strong convergence of approximate solutions to the regular solution of the limit system at least on the lifespan of the latter, thanks to the we…
