We present the results of timing analysis of the low-frequency Quasi-Periodic Oscillation (QPO) in the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer data of the black hole binary XTE J1550--564 during its 1998 outburst. The QPO frequency is observed to vary on timescales between $\sim$100 s and days, correlated with the count rate contribution from the optically thick accretion disk: we studied this correlation and discuss its influence on the QPO width. In all observations, the quality factors ($ν_0$/FWHM) of the fundamental and second harmonic peaks were observed to be consistent, suggesting that the quasi-periodic nature of the oscillation is due to frequency modulation. In addition to the QPO and its harmonic peaks, a new 1.5$ν$ component was detected in the power spectra. This component is broad, with a quality factor of $\sim$0.6. From this, we argue what the peak observed at half the QPO frequency, usually referred to as "sub-harmonic" could be the fundamental frequency, leading to the sequence 1:2:3:4. We also studied the energy dependence of the timing features and conclude that the two continuum components observed in the power spectrum, although both more intense at high energies, show a different dependence on energy. At low energies, the lowest-frequency component dominates, while at high energies the higher-frequency one has a higher fractional rms. An interplay between these two components was also observed as a function of their characteristic frequency. In this source, the transition between low/hard state and hard-intermediate state appears to be a smooth process.
We studied the horizontal branch oscillations (HBO) and the band-limited components observed in the power spectra of the transient neutron star low-mass X-ray binary XTE J1701-462 and the persistent "Sco-like" Z source GX 17+2. These two components were studied based on the state-resolved spectra. We found that the frequencies of XTE J1701-462 lie on the known correlations (WK and PBK), showing consistency with other types of X-ray binaries (black holes, atoll sources and millisecond X-ray pulsars). However, GX 17+2 is shifted from the WK correlation like other typical Z sources. We suggest th…
We report the discovery of kHz quasi periodic oscillations (QPOs) in three Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer observations of the low mass X-ray binary (LMXB) XTE J1701-407. In one of the observations we detect a kHz QPO with a characteristic frequency of 1153 +/- 5 Hz, while in the other two observations we detect twin QPOs at characteristic frequencies of 740 +/- 5 Hz, 1112 +/- 17 Hz and 740 +/- 11 Hz, 1098 +/- 5 Hz. All detections happen when XTE J1701-407 was in its high intensity soft state, and their single trial significance are in the 3.1-7.5 sigma range. The frequency difference in the centr…
We present the time-frequency analysis results based on the Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) for the evolution of a 4-Hz low-frequency quasi-periodic oscillation (LFQPO) around the black hole X-ray binary XTE J1550-564. The origin of LFQPOs is still debated. To understand the cause of the peak broadening, we utilized a recently developed time-frequency analysis, HHT, for tracking the evolution of the 4-Hz LFQPO from XTE J1550 564. By adaptively decomposing the ~4-Hz oscillatory component from the light curve and acquiring its instantaneous frequency, the Hilbert spectrum illustrates that the LFQP…
Using the two main XTE J1550-564 outbursts (1998-99 and 2000) we gathered about 30 observations with confirmed detections of HFQPOs. While this is a small sample it is enough to start looking at the generic properties of these oscillations, especially focusing on their frequencies and their potential harmonic relationship. This then will provide us with a list of constraints, necessary for any attempt of modelling their origin. We defined five groups based on their similarities in the Fourier domain, namely the continuum of their power density spectra (PDS) and the HFQPO frequencies. We then c…
We studied the properties of the low-frequency quasi-periodic oscillations detected in a sample of six black hole candidates (XTE J1550-564, H 1743-322, XTE J1859+226, 4U 1630-47,GX 339-4, XTE J1650-500) observed by the Rossi XTE satellite. We analyzed the relation between the full width half maximum and the frequency of all the narrow peaks detected in power density spectra where a type-C QPO is observed. Our goal was to understand the nature of the modulation of the signal by comparing the properties of different harmonic peaks in the power density spectrum. We find that for the sources in o…
We study the temporal and energy spectral properties of the unique neutron star low-mass X-ray binary XTE J1701-462. After assuming the HB/NB vertex as a reference position of accretion rate, the horizontal branch oscillation (HBO) of the HB/NB vertex is roughly 50 Hz. It indicates that the HBO is independent with the accretion rate or the source intensity. The spectral analysis shows $R_{\rm{in}}\propto\dot{M}_{\rm{Disk}}^{2.9\pm0.09}$ in the HB/NB vertex and $R_{\rm{in}}\propto\dot{M}_{\rm{Disk}}^{1.7\pm0.06}$ in the NB/FB vertex, which implies that different accretion rate may be produced i…
We analysed 14 observations with kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs) of the neutron star X-ray binary XTE J1701$-$462, the first source to show a clear transition between atoll and Z-like behaviour during a single outburst. We calculated the average cross-spectrum of both atoll and Z-phase observations of XTE J1701$-$462 between a reference/hard band (6.1 - 25.7 keV) and a subject/soft band (2.1 - 5.7 keV) to obtain, using a novel technique, the average time lags of the lower and upper kHz QPOs. During the atoll phase, we found that at the frequency of the lower kHz QPO the soft p…
In this work we report on observations with the Neutron Star Interior Composition Explorer of the known neutron star X-ray transient XTE J1739-285. We observed the source in 2020 February and March, finding it in a highly active bursting state. Across a 20-day period, we detected 32 thermonuclear X-ray bursts, with an average burst recurrence time of $2.0^{+0.4}_{-0.3}$ hr. A timing and spectral analysis of the ensemble of X-ray bursts reveals homogeneous burst properties, evidence for short-recurrence time bursts, and the detection of a 386.5 Hz burst oscillation candidate. The latter is espe…
We present an analysis of the short timescale variations in the properties of the strong (type "C") quasi-periodic oscillation observed in XTE J1550-564 during its 1998 outburst. In particular, the QPO shows a correlation between absolute rms amplitude and mean source flux over timescales shorter than ~ 3 ksec. A linear rms-flux relation has been observed to be a common property of broad-band noise but here we report the first detection of rms-flux dependence in a QPO. The gradient of the rms-flux relation is correlated with the QPO peak frequency: from a strong positive correlation when the Q…
Accreting millisecond X-ray pulsars (AMXPs) show burst oscillations during thermonuclear explosions of the accreted plasma which are markedly different from those observed in non-pulsating low mass X-ray binaries. The AMXP XTE J1814-338 is known for having burst oscillations that are phase locked (constant phase difference) and coincident with the accretion powered pulsations during all its thermonuclear bursts but the last one. In this work we use a coherent timing analysis to investigate this phenomenon in more detail and with higher time resolution than was done in the past. We confirm that…
We have used archival RXTE PCA data to investigate timing and spectral characteristics of the transient XTE J1817-330. The data pertains to 160 PCA pointed observations made during the outburst period 2006, January 27 to August 2. A detailed analysis of Quasi-Periodic Oscillations (QPOs) in this black hole X-ray binary is carried out. Power density spectra were obtained using the light curves of the source. QPOs have been detected in the 2-8 keV band in 10 of the observations. In 8 of these observations, QPOs are present in the 8-14 keV and in 5 observations in the 15-25 keV band. XTE J1817-33…
The high frequency quasiperiodic oscillations (QPOs) in the X-ray spectra of the millisecond pulsar XTE J1807-294 are under consideration. By application of the relativistic precession (RP) model an attempt is made to approximate the observed frequencies as well as to assess the mass and the angular momentum of the object. The obtained mass is too high for a neutron star.
We study the timing properties of XTE J1858+034 using the Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR) and Burst Alert Telescope onboard Swift during the outburst in October--November 2019. We have investigated for Quasi-Periodic Oscillation (QPO) during the outburst and detected a low-frequency QPO at $\sim$196 mHz with $\sim$6% RMS variability from the NuSTAR observation. The QPO is fitted and explained with the model - power law and a Lorentzian component. We have also studied the variation of QPO frequency with energy. The beat frequency model and Keplerian frequency model both are suita…
We analysed 866 observations of the neutron-star low-mass X-ray binary XTE J1701-462 during its 2006-2007 outburst. XTE J1701-462 is the only example so far of a source that during an outburst showed, beyond any doubt, spectral and timing characteristics both of the Z and atoll type. We found that the lower kHz QPO in the atoll phase has a significantly higher coherence and fractional rms amplitude than any of the kHz QPOs seen during the Z phase, and that in the same frequency range, atoll lower kHz QPOs show coherence and fractional rms amplitude, respectively, 2 and 3 times larger than the …
We use the Relativistic Precession Model (RPM) (Stella et al. 1999a) and quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) observations from the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer to derive constraints on the properties of the black holes that power these sources and to test General Relativity (GR) in the strong field regime. We extend the techniques outlined by Motta et al. (2014a,b) to use pairs of simultaneously measured QPOs, rather than triplets, and extend the underlying spacetime metric to constrain potential deviations from the predictions of GR for astrophysical black holes. To do this, we modify the RPM mod…
We study the X-ray emission of the microquasar XTE J1550-564 and analyze the properties of its light curves using the recurrence analysis method. The indicators for non-linear dynamics of the accretion flow are found in the very high state and soft state of this source. The significance of deterministic variability depends on the energy band. We discuss the non-linear dynamics of the accretion flow in the context of the disc-corona geometry and propagating oscillations in the accretion flow.
After spending almost a decade in a radio-quiet state, the Anomalous X-ray Pulsar XTE J1810-197 turned back on in early December 2018. We have observed this radio magnetar at 1.5 GHz with ~daily cadence since the first detection of radio re-activation on 8 December 2018. In this paper, we report on the current timing properties of XTE J1810-197 and find that the magnitude of the spin frequency derivative has increased by a factor of 2.6 over our 48-day data set. We compare our results with the spin-down evolution reported during its previous active phase in the radio band. We also present tota…
Low and intermediate frequency quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) are thought to be due to oscillations of Comptonizing regions or hot regions embedded in Keplerian discs. Observational evidence of evolutions of QPOs would therefore be very important as they throw lights on the dynamics of the hotter region. Our aim is to find systems in which there is a well-defined correlation among the frequencies of the QPOs over a range of time so as to understand the physical picture. In this paper, we concentrate on the archival data of XTE J1550-564 obtained during 1998 outburst, and study the systemat…
The evolution of different types of quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) and the coupled radiative/physical changes in the accretion disk are still poorly understood. In a few black hole binaries it was found that fast evolution of QPOs is associated with spectral variations. Such studies in other black hole binaries are important to understand the QPO phenomenon. For the black hole transient XTE J1817-330, we study fast QPO transitions and accompanying spectral variations to investigate what causes the spectral variation during the QPO transition. Roy et al. (2011) found QPOs in ten RXTE observ…
Context. Of the 13 known accreting millisecond pulsars, only a few showed more than one outburst during the RXTE era. XTE J1751-305 showed, after the main outburst in 2002, other three dim outbursts. We report on the timing analysis of the latest one, occurred on October 8, 2009 and serendipitously observed from its very beginning by RXTE. Aims. The detection of the pulsation during more than one outburst permits to obtain a better constraint of the orbital parameters and their evolution as well as to track the secular spin frequency evolution of the source. Methods. Using the RXTE data of the…
We discuss candidates for non-radial modes excited in a mass accreting and rapidly rotating neutron star to explain the coherent frequency identified in the light curves of a millisecond X-ray pulsar XTE J1751-305. The spin frequency of the pulsar is $ν_{\rm spin}\cong435$Hz and the identified coherent frequency is $ν_{\rm osc}=0.5727595\timesν_{\rm spin}$. Assuming the frequency identified is that observed in the corotating frame of the neutron star, we find that the surface $r$-modes of $l^\prime=m=1$ and 2 excited by $ε$-mechanism due to helium burning in the thin shell can give the frequen…
Recently Strohmayer and Mahmoodifar presented evidence for a coherent oscillation in the X-ray light curve of the accreting millisecond pulsar XTE J1751-305, using data taken by RXTE during the 2002 outburst of this source. They noted that a possible explanation includes the excitation of a non-radial oscillation mode of the neutron star, either in the form of a g-mode or an r-mode. The r-mode interpretation has connections with proposed spin-evolution scenarios for systems such as XTE J1751-305. Here we examine in detail this interesting possible interpretation. Using the ratio of the observe…
We present a systematic analysis of the complete set of observations of the black hole (BH) binary XTE J1550-564 obtained by the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer. We study the fast time variability properties of the source and determine the spin of the black hole through the relativistic precession model. Similarly to what is observed in the BH binary GRO J1655-40, the frequencies of the QPOs and broad band noise components match the general relativistic frequencies of particle motion close to the compact object predicted by the relativistic precession model. The combination of two simultaneously o…
We investigate the cross spectrum of XTE J1701-462 in various types of Neutron Star-Low Mass X-ray Binary subclasses, during its 2006-2007 outburst. We analyze the relation between the time lags and temporal variabilities. We find that the hard time lags accompany with the horizontal branch oscillations (HBOs) and the soft time lags dominate the noise in the low frequency range 0.1-10 Hz on HB. In the Cyg-like phase, the time lags decrease on the middle normal branch (NB) from HB/NB vertex to NB/FB vertex, whereas the time lags are roughly invariant in the Sco-like source. We discuss that the …
We present a coherent timing analysis of the 2003 outburst of the accreting millisecond pulsar XTE J1807-294. We find an upper limit for the spin frequency derivative of 5E-14 Hz/s. The sinusoidal fractional amplitudes of the pulsations are the highest observed among the accreting millisecond pulsars and can reach values of up to 27% (2.5-30 keV). The pulse arrival time residuals of the fundamental follow a linear anti-correlation with the fractional amplitudes that suggests hot spot motion over the surface of the neutron star both in longitude and latitude. An anti-correlation between residua…
The quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) in black hole (BH) systems of different scales are interpreted based on the magnetic reconnection of the large-scale magnetic fields generated by the toroidal electric currents flowing in the inner region of accretion disk, where the current density is assumed to be proportional to the mass density of the accreting plasma. The magnetic connection (MC) is taken into account in resolving the dynamic equations of the accretion disk, in which the MC between the inner and outer disk regions, the MC between the plunging region and the disk, and the MC between t…
We report on the multi-frequency multi-epoch radio observations of the magnetar, XTE J1810-197, which exhibited a radio outburst from December 2018 after its 10-year quiescent period. We performed quasi-simultaneous observations with VERA (22 GHz), Hitachi (6.9 GHz and 8.4 GHz), Kashima (2.3 GHz), and Iitate (0.3 GHz) radio telescopes located in Japan to trace the variability of the magnetar radio pulsations during the observing period from 13 December 2018 to 12 June 2019. The pulse width goes narrower as the observing frequency goes higher, analogous to the general profile narrowing behavior…
We investigate the quality factor and RMS amplitude of the lower kHz QPOs from XTE J1701-462, a unique X-ray source which was observed in both the so-called Z and atoll states. Correcting for the frequency drift of the QPO, we show that, as in all sources for which such a correction can be applied, the quality factor and RMS amplitude drops sharply above above a critical frequency. For XTE J1701-462 this frequency is estimated to be ~800 Hz, where the quality factor reaches a maximum of ~200 (e.g. a value consistent with the one observed from more classical systems, such as 4U~1636-536). Such …
Einstein's general relativity predicts that orbital motion of accreted gas approaching a neutron star (NS) in a NS low-mass X-ray binary (LMXB) system occurs on a time scale proportional to the NS mass. Radiation of the gas accounts for most of the observed LMXBs variability. In more than a dozen of sources twin-peak quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) have been observed. Inspired by the expected proportionality between periods of orbital motion and NS mass we present a straightforward comparison among these sources. We investigate relations between QPO periods and their ratios and identify cha…
We report the discovery of burst oscillations from the intermittent accretion-powered millisecond pulsar (AMP) HETE J1900.1-2455, with a frequency approximately 1 Hz below the known spin frequency. The burst oscillation properties are far more similar to those of the non-AMPs and Aql X-1 (an intermittent AMP with a far lower duty cycle), than those of the AMPs SAX J1808.4-3658 and XTE J1814-338. We discuss the implications for models of the burst oscillation and intermittency mechanisms.
Does the radio-active phase of XTE~J1810$-$197 recur following the same evolutionary pattern?

We re-investigated the `spectro-temporal' behaviour of the source XTE J1859+226 in X-rays during its outburst phase in 1999, by analysing the RXTE PCA/HEXTE data in 2 - 150 keV spectral band. Detailed analysis shows that although the evolution pattern of the outburst followed the typical q-shaped profile, an absence of `canonical' soft state and a weak presence of `secondary' emission are observed. The broad-band spectra, modeled with high energy cutoff, shows that the fold-energy increases monotonically in the hard and hard-intermediate states followed by a random variation in the soft-interm…
Evolution of variability properties of Galactic transient sources is a diagnostic tool to understand various regimes of the accretion flow and its dynamics close to the central black hole. In this paper, we concentrate on the variability properties of the X-ray transient XTE J1650-500 and investigate the evolution of viscous delay, time lag, QPO frequency, and their energy dependence throughout the rising phase as observed by RXTE during its outburst in 2001. Our analysis reveals (1) a delay of 12 \pm 1 days between one day averaged hard (5-12 keV) and soft (1.5-3 keV) photon light-curves as o…

In 2003, the magnetar XTE J1810-197 started an outburst that lasted until early 2007. In the following 11 years, the source stayed in a quiescent/low activity phase. XTE J1810-197 is one of the closest magnetars, hence its X-ray properties can be studied in detail even in quiescence and an extended monitoring has been carried out to study its long term timing and spectral evolution. Here, we report the results of new X-ray observations, taken between September 2017 and April 2018, with XMM-Newton, Chandra and Nicer. We derived a phase-connected timing solution yielding a frequency derivative o…
XTE J1908+094 is an X-ray transient black hole candidate in the Galactic plane that was observed in outburst in 2002 and 2013. Here we present multi-frequency radio and X-ray data, including radio polarimetry, spanning the entire period of the 2013 outburst. We find that the X-ray behaviour of XTE J1908+094 traces the standard black hole hardness-intensity path, evolving from a hard state, through a soft state, before returning to a hard state and quiescence. Its radio behaviour is typical of a compact jet that becomes quenched before discrete ejecta are launched during the late stages of X-ra…
We investigate frequency correlations of low frequency (LF, <80 Hz) and kHz quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) using the complete RXTE data sets on 6 accreting millisecond X-ray pulsars (AMXPs) and compare them to those of non-pulsating neutron star low mass X-ray binaries with known spin. For the AMXPs SAX J1808.4-3658 and XTE J1807-294, we find frequency-correlation power law indices that, surprisingly, are significantly lower than in the non-pulsars, and consistent with the relativistic precession model (RPM) prediction of 2.0 appropriate to test-particle orbital and Lense-Thirring precessi…
We present the first detection of pulsations from a neutron star in the submillimeter range. The source is the magnetar XTE J1810-197, observed with the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) on 2020 February 27, 2020 July 9 and 2021 May 15. XTE J1810-197 is detected at 353 GHz ($λ=0.85\,$mm) in the three epochs, but not detected in the simultaneously-observed band at 666 GHz ($λ=0.45\,$mm). We measure an averaged flux density at 353 GHz of 6.7$\pm$1.0, 4.0$\pm$0.6, and 1.3$\pm$0.3 mJy and set 3$σ$ flux density upper limits at 666 GHz of 11.3, 4.7 and 4.3 mJy, at each of the three observing epoc…
We report on an analysis of RXTE data of the transient neutron star low-mass X-ray binary (NS-LMXB) XTE J1701-462, obtained during its 2006-2007 outburst. The X-ray properties of the source changed between those of various types of NS-LMXB subclasses. At high luminosities the source switched between two types of Z source behavior and at low luminosities we observed a transition from Z source to atoll source behavior. These transitions between subclasses primarily manifest themselves as changes in the shapes of the tracks in X-ray color-color and hardness-intensity diagrams, but they are accomp…
Motivated by the recent proposal that one can obtain quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) by photon echoes manifesting as non-trivial features in the autocorrelation function (ACF), we study the ACFs of the light curves of three accreting black hole candidates and a neutron star already known to exhibit QPOs namely, GRS 1915+105, XTE J1550-564, XTE J1859+226 and Cygnus X-2. We compute and focus on the form of the ACFs in search of systematics or specific temporal properties at the time scales associated with the known QPO frequencies in comparison with the corresponding PDS. Even within our smal…
We report the discovery of burst oscillations at the spin frequency in ten thermonuclear bursts from the accreting millisecond X-ray pulsar (AMXP) IGR J17511-3057. The burst oscillation properties are, like those from the persistent AMXPs SAX J1808.4-3658 and XTE J1814-338, anomalous compared to burst oscillations from intermittent pulsars or non-pulsing LMXBs. Like SAX J1808.4-3658 they show frequency drifts in the rising phase rather than the tail. There is also evidence for harmonic content. Where IGR J17511-3057 is unusual compared to the other two persistent pulsars is that oscillations a…
Context. In 1998 the first accreting millisecond pulsar, SAX J1808.4-3658, was discovered and to date 18 systems showing coherent, high frequency (> 100 Hz) pulsations in low mass X-ray binaries are known. Since their discovery, this class of sources has shown interesting and sometimes puzzling behaviours. In particular, apart from a few exceptions, they are all transient with very long X-ray quiescent periods implying a quite low averaged mass accretion rate onto the neutron star. Among these sources, XTE J0929-314 has been detected in outburst just once in about 15 years of continuous monito…
High-frequency quasiperiodic oscillations of the X-ray flux comming from black-hole binaries have the potential to provide precise estimates of the mass and the spin of the central black hole, if an adequate model for them was available. There are several models in the literature but none of them is commonly accepted. One way to test the available models is to confront their predictions for the masses of black holes with results obtained through other methods. Here, we study the mass bounds that nine of the most commonly used models provide for the three microquasars with known masses GRS 1915…
We present the results of the analysis of a large database of X-ray observations of 22 galactic black-hole transients with the Rossi X-Ray timing explorer throughout its operative life for a total exposure time of ~12 Ms. We excluded persistent systems and the peculiar source GRS 1915+105, as well as the most recently discovered sources. The semi-automatic homogeneous analysis was aimed at the detection of high-frequency (100-1000 Hz) quasi-periodic oscillations (QPO), of which several cases were previously reported in the literature. After taking into account the number of independent trials,…
A possible model of twin high-frequency QPOs (HF QPOs) of microquasars is examined. The disk is assumed to have global magnetic fields and to be deformed with a two-armed pattern. In this deformed disk, set of a two-armed ($m=2$) vertical p-mode oscillation and an axisymmetric ($m=0$) g-mode oscillation are considered. They resonantly interact through the disk deformation when their frequencies are the same. This resonant interaction amplifies the set of the above oscillations in the case where these two oscillations have wave energies of opposite signs. These oscillations are assumed to be ex…
We measured the phase-lag spectrum of the high-frequency quasi-periodic oscillations (QPO) in the black hole systems (at QPO frequencies) GRS 1915+105 (35 Hz and 67 Hz), GRO J1655-40 (300 Hz and 450 Hz), XTE J1550-564 (180 Hz and 280 Hz), and IGR J17091-3624 (67 Hz). The lag spectra of the 67-Hz QPO in, respectively, GRS 1915+105 and IGR J17091-3624, and the 450-Hz QPO in GRO J1655-40 are hard (hard photons lag the soft ones) and consistent with each other, with the hard lags increasing with energy. On the contrary, the lags of the 35-Hz QPO in GRS 1915+105 are soft, with the lags becoming sof…
In the propagating oscillatory shock model, the oscillation of the post-shock region, i.e., the Compton cloud, causes the observed low-frequency quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs). The evolution of QPO frequency is explained by the systematic variation of the Compton cloud size, i.e., the steady radial movement of the shock front, which is triggered by the cooling of the post-shock region. Thus, analysis of energy-dependent temporal properties in different variability time scales can diagnose the dynamics and geometry of accretion flows around black holes. We study these properties for the hig…

We study the kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs) in neutron star low mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs) with a new magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) model, in which the compressed magnetosphere is considered. The previous MHD model (Shi \& Li 2009) is re-examined and the relation between the frequencies of the kHz QPOs and the accretion rate in LMXBs is obtained. Our result agrees with the observations of six sources (4U 0614+09, 4U 1636--53, 4U 1608--52, 4U 1915--15, 4U 1728--34, XTE 1807--294) with measured spins. In this model the kHz QPOs originate from the MHD waves in the compressed magne…
