The non-relativistic approximation of the quark-meson-coupling model has been discussed and compared with the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock model which includes spin exchanges. Calculations show that the spin-exchange interaction has important effect on the descriptions of finite nuclei and nuclear matter through the Fock exchange. Also in the quark-meson-coupling model, it is the Fock exchange that leads to a nonlinear density-dependent isovector channel and changes the density-dependent behavior of the symmetry energy.
We study the effects of isovector-scalar ($δ$)-meson on neutron star. Influence of $δ$-meson on both static and rotating neutron star is discussed. Inclusion of $δ$-meson in a neutron star system consisting of proton, neutron and electron, make the equation of state stiffer in higher density and consequently increases the maximum mass of the star. But induction of $δ$-meson in the hyperon star decreases the maximum mass of the hyperon star. This is due to the early evolution of hyperons in presence of $δ-$meson.
We examine the potential energy contribution to the symmetry energy (in the parabolic approximation) arising from the isovector mesons, π, ρ, and δ. The significance of a microscopic model which incorporates all important mesons is revealed. In particular, we demonstrate the importance of the pion for a realistic investigation of isospin-sensitive systems.
The coherent $η$ meson energy $E_η$ distribution spectra in the proton nucleus reaction have been calculated to investigate the $π^0 - η$ mesons' interference, in addition to the study of resonance $N^*$ dynamics in the nucleus. The elementary reaction occurring in the nucleus is assumed to proceed as $ pN \to pN^* $; $ N^* \to Nη$. Born terms in the intermediate state is also considered. In a scalar-isovector nucleus, this reaction occurs because of $π^0$ and $η$ meson exchange interactions for the forward going proton and $η$ meson; other meson exchange potentials do not contribute in this p…
Density dependent relativistic Hartree-Fock theory has been extended to describe properties of exotic nuclei. The effects of Fock exchange terms and of pi - and rho - meson contributions are discussed. These effects are found to be more important for neutron rich nuclei than for nuclei near the valley of stability.
Background: The Skyrme energy density functional is widely used in mean-field calculations of nuclear structure and dynamics. However, its reliance on phenomenology may compromise its isovector properties and its performance for exotic nuclear systems. Purpose: This work investigates the possibility of removing some phenomenology from the density functional by drawing on the high-energy degrees-of-freedom of the quark-meson coupling (QMC) model. The QMC model has microscopically derived isovector properties and far fewer adjustable parameters. Method: The parameters of the Skyrme interaction a…
We analyze the effects of $δ-$ meson on hypernuclei within the frame-work of relativistic mean field theory. The $δ-$ meson is included into the Lagrangian for hypernuclei. The extra nucleon-meson coupling ($g_δ$) affects the every piece of physical observables, like binding energy, radii and single particle energy of hypernuclei. The lambda mean field potential is investigated which is consistent with other predictions. Flipping of single particle energy levels are observed with the strength of $g_δ$ in the considered hypernuclei as well as normal nuclei. The spin-orbit potentials are observe…
The effects of the isovector-scalar $δ$-meson field on the properties of finite nuclei, infinite nuclear matter and neutron stars are investigated within the Relativistic Mean Field (RMF) model which includes non-linear couplings. Several parameter sets (SRV's) are generated to asses the influence of $δ$-meson on the properties of neutron star. These parametrizations correspond to different values of coupling constant of $δ$-meson to the nucleons with remaining ones calibrated to yield finite nuclei and infinite nuclear matter properties consistent with the available experimental data. It is o…
We investigate the consequences of Fierz transformations acting upon the contact interactions for nucleon fields occurring in relativistic point coupling models in Hartree approximation, which yield the same models but in Hartree-Fock approximation instead. We find for four-fermion interactions occurring in two existing relativistic point coupling phenomenologies that whereas in Hartree the isovector-scalar strength, corresponding to delta-meson exchange, is unnaturally small, indicating a possible new symmetry, in Hartree-Fock it is instead comparable to the isovector-vector strength correspo…
We examine the effects of the isovector-vector coupling and hypercharge-vector coupling in quark matter on hadron-quark coexistence in neutron-star matter. The relativistic mean field theory with the TM1 parameter set and an extended TM1 parameter set are used to describe hadronic matter, and the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with scalar, isoscalar-vector, isovector-vector and hypercharge-vector couplings is used to describe deconfined quark matter. The hadron-quark phase transition is constructed via the Gibbs conditions for phase equilibrium. The isovector-vector and hypercharge-vector couplings …
We investigate the nonrelativistic reduction of the Bethe-Salpeter amplitude for the deuteron electrodisintegration near threshold energies. To this end, two assumptions have been used in the calculations: 1) the static approximation and 2) the one iteration approximation. Within these assumptions it is possible to recover the nonrelativistic result including a systematic extension to relativistic corrections. We find that the so-called pair current term can be constructed from the $P$-wave contribution of the deuteron Bethe-Salpeter amplitude. The form factor that enters into the calculation …
The deconfinement phase transition from hadronic matter to quark matter in the interior of compact stars is investigated. The hadronic phase is described in the framework of relativistic mean-field (RMF) theory, when also the scalar-isovector delta-meson effective field is taken into account. The MIT bag model for describing a quark phase is used. The changes of the parameters of phase transition caused by the presence of delta-meson field are explored. Finally, alterations in the integral and structural parameters of hybrid stars due to both deconfinement phase transition and inclusion of del…
We study the effects of isovector-scalar meson $δ$ on the equation of state (EOS) of neutron star matter in strong magnetic fields. The EOS of neutron-star matter and nucleon effective masses are calculated in the framework of Lagrangian field theory, which is solved within the mean-field approximation. From the numerical results one can find that the $δ$-field leads to a remarkable splitting of proton and neutron effective masses. The strength of $δ$-field decreases with the increasing of the magnetic field and is little at ultrastrong field. The proton effective mass is highly influenced by …
This study revisits the issue of the extraction of estimates for the masses and for the partial decay widths to two pions of the scalar-isoscalar $I^G\,(J^{PC}) = 0^+\,(0^{++})$ and vector-isovector $I^G\,(J^{PC}) = 1^+\,(1^{--})$ mesons below $2$ GeV, from the data contained in the recent compilation by the Particle Data Group.
We determine the coupling constants of $Σ$ hyperon with mesons in relativistic mean field (RMF) models using $Σ^-$ atomic shift data and examine the effects of $Σ$ on the neutron star maximum mass. We find that we need to reduce the vector-isovector meson coupling with $Σ$ ($g_{ρΣ}$) from the value constrained by the SU(3)v symmetry in order to explain the $Σ^-$ atomic shifts for light symmetric and heavy asymmetric nuclei simultaneously. With the atomic shift fit value of $g_{ρΣ}$, $Σ^-$ can emerge in neutron star matter overcoming the repulsive isoscalar potential for $Σ$ hyperons. Admixture…
Relativistic mean field (RMF) theory of nuclear matter with the isovector scalar mean field corresponding to the delta-meson [a_0(980)] is studied. While the delta-meson mean field vanishes in symmetric nuclear matter, it can influence properties of asymmetric nuclear matter in neutron stars. The RMF contribution due to delta-field to the nuclear symmetry energy is negative. To fit the empirical value, E_s=30 MeV, a stronger rho-meson coupling is required than in the absence of the delta-field. The energy per particle of neutron matter is then larger at high densities than the one with no delt…
We study the equation of state of neutron-star matter including the effects of isovector-vector coupling in quark matter. We employ the relativistic mean-field theory with an extended TM1 parameter set to describe hadronic matter and the SU(3) Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with isovector-vector and hypercharge-vector couplings to describe the quark matter. The deconfinement hadron-quark phase transition is constructed under Gibbs phase equilibrium conditions. It is found that the isovector-vector and hypercharge-vector couplings in quark matter enhance the symmetry energy and hypercharge symmetry e…
In the framework of the relativistic mean-field theory, we have considered the equation of state of superdense nuclear matter, taking into account an effective scalar-isovector delta-meson field. The effect of the delta-meson field on the characteristics of a Maxwell-type quark phase transition has been studied. The quark phase is described with the aid of the improved version of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) bag model, in which interactions between the u, d, s quarks inside the bag are taken into account in the one-gluon exchange approximation. For different values of the ba…
Using the relativistic mean-field model with nonlinear couplings between the isoscalar and isovector mesons, we study the properties of isospin-asymmetric nuclear matter. Not only the vector mixing, $ω_μω^μ\mathbfρ_ν\mathbfρ^ν$, but also the quartic interaction due to the scalar mesons, $σ^{2}\mathbfδ^{2}$, is taken into account to investigate the density dependence of nuclear symmetry energy, $E_{\rm sym}$, and the neutron-star properties. It is found that the $δ$ meson increases $E_{\rm sym}$ at high densities, whereas the $σ$-$δ$ mixing makes $E_{\rm sym}$ soft above the saturation density.…
We use a nonpertubative approach which combines coupled channel Lippmann Schwinger equations with meson-meson potentials provided by the lowest order chiral Lagrangian. By means of one parameter, a cut off in the momentum of the loop integrals, which results of the order of 1 GeV, we obtain singularities in the S-wave amplitudes corresponding to the $σ$, f_0 and a_0 resonances. The $ππ\to ππ, ππ\to K \bar{K}$ phase shifts and inelasticities in the T = 0 scalar channel are well reproduced as well as the $π^0 η$ and $K \bar{K}$ mass distributions in the T = 1 channel. Furthermore, the total and …
An isovector-scalar meson is incorporated self-consistently into the quark-meson coupling description of nuclear matter and its most prominent effects on the structure of neutron stars are investigated. The recent measurement of GW170817 is used to constrain the strength of the isovector-scalar channel. With the imminent measurements of the neutron star radii in the NICER mission it is particularly notable that the inclusion of the isovector-scalar force has a significant impact. Indeed, the effect of this interaction on the neutron star radii and masses is larger than the uncertainties introd…
The matrix equations of the relativistic random-phase approximation (RRPA) are derived for an effective Lagrangian characterized by density-dependent meson-nucleon vertex functions. The explicit density dependence of the meson-nucleon couplings introduces rearrangement terms in the residual two-body interaction, that are essential for a quantitative description of excited states. Illustrative calculations of the isoscalar monopole, isovector dipole and isoscalar quadrupole response of $^{208}$Pb, are performed in the fully self-consistent RRPA framework, based on effective interactions with a …
We study the properties of strange quark stars by employing a 3-flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with both scalar-isovector and vector-isovector interactions. Using the constraint on the vector-isoscalar interaction strength obtained from the elliptic flow splitting between particles and their antiparticles in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, we investigate the dependence of the properties of strange quark stars on the vector-isovector and the scalar-isovector interactions, and compare the results with the state-of-art astrophysical constraints on the compact star radius and mass as well as i…
We have studied the properties of hot and dense quark matter based on the 3-flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model as well as its Polyakov-loop extension (pNJL) with scalar-isovector and vector-isovector couplings. Provided a considerable large isospin asymmetry or isospin chemical potential, isospin splittings of constituent mass, chiral phase transition boundary, and critical point for $u$ and $d$ quarks can be observed for positive isovector coupling constants but are suppressed for negative ones. The quark matter symmetry energy decreases with the increasing isovector coupling constant, and…
A neutron or proton excess in nuclei leads to an isovector-vector mean-field which, through its coupling to the quarks in a bound nucleon, implies a shift in the quark distributions with respect to the Bjorken scaling variable. We show that this result leads to an additional correction to the NuTeV measurement of sin^2(Theta_W). The sign of this correction is largely model independent and acts to reduce their result. Explicit calculation within a covariant and confining Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model predicts that this vector field correction accounts for approximately two-thirds of the NuTeV anoma…
The microscopic origin of the spin-orbit (SO) potential in terms of sub-baryonic degrees of freedom is explored and discussed for application to nuclei and hyper-nuclei. We thus develop a chiral relativistic approach where the coupling to the scalar- and vector-meson fields are controlled by the quark substructure. This approach suggests that the isoscalar and isovector density dependence of the SO potential can be used to test the microscopic ingredients which are implemented in the relativistic framework: the quark substructure of the nucleon in its ground-state and its coupling to the rich …
We discuss the production of particles in relativistic heavy-ion collisions through the mechanism of massive bremsstrahlung, in which massive mesons are emitted during rapid nucleon acceleration. This mechanism is described within the framework of classical hadrodynamics for extended nucleons, corresponding to nucleons of finite size interacting with massive meson fields. This new theory provides a natural covariant microscopic approach to relativistic heavy-ion collisions that includes automatically spacetime nonlocality and retardation, nonequilibrium phenomena, interactions among all nucleo…
The self-energy of the Dirac Brueckner-Hartree-Fock calculation in nuclear matter is parametrized by introducing density-dependent coupling constants of isoscalar mesons in the relativistic Hartree-Fock (RHF) approach where isoscalar meson $σ$ , $ω$ and isovector meson $π$, $ρ$ contributions are included. The RHF calculations with density dependent coupling constants obtained in this way not only reproduce the nuclear matter saturation properties , but also provide the self-energy with an appropriate density dependence. The relativistic density dependent Hartree-Fock (RDHF) approach contains t…
We present a complete analysis of the chiral extrapolation of lattice moments of all twist-2 isovector quark distributions, including corrections from N pi and Delta pi loops. Even though the Delta resonance formally gives rise to higher order non-analytic structure, the coefficients of the higher order terms for the helicity and transversity moments are large and cancel much of the curvature generated by the wave function renormalization. The net effect is that, whereas the unpolarized moments exhibit considerable curvature, the polarized moments show little deviation from linearity as the ch…
Based on the accurately calibrated interaction FSUGold, we show that including isovector scalar $δ$ meson and its coupling to isoscalar scalar $σ$ meson in the relativistic mean field (RMF) model can soften the symmetry energy $E_{\rm{sym}}(n)$ at intermediate densities while stiffen the $E_{\rm{sym}}(n)$ at high densities. We find this new RMF model can be simultaneously compatible with (1) the constraints on the equation of state of symmetric nuclear matter at suprasaturation densities from flow data in heavy-ion collisions, (2) the neutron skin thickness of $^{208}$Pb from the PREX-II exper…
We have studied the effects of tensor coupling of $ω$ and $ρ$ meson terms, Coulomb exchange term in local density approximation and various isoscalar-isovector coupling terms of relativistic mean field model on the properties of nuclear matter, finite nuclei, and super-heavy nuclei. We found that for the same fixed value of symmetry energy $J$ or its slope $L$ the presence of tensor coupling of $ω$ and $ρ$ meson terms and Coulomb exchange term yields thicker neutron skin thickness of $^{208}$Pb. We also found that the roles of tensor coupling of $ω$ and $ρ$ meson terms, Coulomb exchange term i…
For coherent photoproduction of phi and omega mesons from deuteron at forward angles, the isovector pi-exchange amplitude is strongly suppressed. We show a possibility to study the non-diffractive channels associated with the unnatural parity exchange in phi-photoproduction and with the baryon resonance excitations in omega-photoproduction by measuring the spin observables.
We discuss a new approach to ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions based on classical hadrodynamics for extended nucleons, corresponding to nucleons of finite size interacting with massive meson fields. This new theory provides a natural covariant microscopic approach that includes automatically spacetime nonlocality and retardation, nonequilibrium phenomena, interactions among all nucleons and particle production. In the current version of our theory, we consider $N$ extended unexcited nucleons interacting with massive neutral scalar ($σ$) and neutral vector ($ω$) meson fields. The resulting…
A one-boson-exchange model for the hyperon-nucleon (ΛN, ΣN) interaction is presented. The model incorporates the standard one boson exchanges of the lowest pseudoscalar and vector meson multiplets with coupling constants fixed by SU(6) flavor symmetry relations. As the main new feature of the model, the contributions in the scalar--isoscalar (σ) and vector--isovector (ρ) exchange channels are now constrained by a microscopic model of correlated ππand K \bar K exchange. Additional short-ranged ingredients of the model in the scalar--isovector (a_0) and scalar--isospin-1/2 (κ) channels are likew…
We try to single out some qualitative new effects of the coupling to the $δ$-isovector-scalar meson introduced in a minimal way in a phenomenological hadronic field theory. Results for the equation of state ($EOS$) and the phase diagram of asymmetric nuclear matter ($ANM$) are discussed. We stress the consistency of the $δ$-coupling introduction in a relativistic approach. New contributions to the slope and curvature of the symmetry energy and the neutron-proton effective mass splitting appear particularly interesting. A more repulsive $EOS$ for neutron matter at high baryon densities is expec…
The confining quark matter (CQM) model, in which the confinement and asymptotic freedom are modeled via the Richardson potential for quark-quark vector interaction and the chiral symmetry restoration at high density is described by the density dependent quark mass, is extended to include isospin dependence of the quark mass. Within this extended isospin-dependent confining quark matter (ICQM) model, we study the properties of strange quark matter and quark stars. We find that including isospin dependence of the quark mass can significantly influence the quark matter symmetry energy, the stabil…
The deconfinement phase transition from hadronic matter to quark matter in the interior of compact stars is investigated. The hadronic phase is described in the framework of relativistic mean-field (RMF) theory, when also the scalar- isovector $δ$-meson effective field is taken into account. To describe a quark phase the MIT bag model is used. The changes of the mixed phase threshold parameters caused by the presence of $δ$-meson field are investigated.
We discuss future directions in the development of classical hadrodynamics for extended nucleons, corresponding to nucleons of finite size interacting with massive meson fields. This new theory provides a natural covariant microscopic approach to relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions that includes automatically spacetime nonlocality and retardation, nonequilibrium phenomena, interactions among all nucleons, and particle production. The present version of our theory includes only the neutral scalar ($σ$) and neutral vector ($ω$) meson fields. In the future, additional isovector pseudoscalar (…
A confining, Goldstone theorem preserving, separable Ansatz for the ladder kernel of the two-body Bethe-Salpeter equation is constructed from phenomenologically efficacious $u$, $d$ and $s$ dressed-quark propagators. The simplicity of the approach is its merit. It provides a good description of the ground-state isovector-pseudoscalar, vector and axial-vector meson spectrum; facilitates an exploration of the relative importance of various components of the two-body Bethe-Salpeter amplitudes, showing that sub-leading Dirac components are quantitatively important in the isovector-pseudoscalar mes…
We present a new model for the hyperon-nucleon (Lambda N, Sigma N) interaction, derived within the meson exchange framework. The model incorporates the standard one boson exchange contributions of the lowest pseudoscalar and vector meson multiplets with coupling constants fixed by SU(6) symmetry relations. In addition - as the main feature of the new model - the exchange of two correlated pions or kaons, both in the scalar-isoscalar (sigma) and vector-isovector (rho) channels, is included.
With the inclusion of the isovector scalar channel in the meson-nucleon couplings, taking DD-ME$δ$ as an effective interaction, the moments of inertia of neutron stars possessing various stellar masses are studied within the density dependent relativistic mean field (RMF) theory. The isovector scalar channel contributes to the softening of the neutron-star matter equation of state (EOS) and therefore the reduction of the maximum mass and radius of neutron stars. Smaller values of the total moment of inertia $I$ and the crustal moment of inertia $Δ{I}$ are then obtained in DD-ME$δ$ via numerica…
We propose an effective field theory incorporating light SU(3)-flavour and heavy quark spin symmetry to describe charmed meson-antimeson bound states. At lowest order the effective field theory entails a remarkable simplification: it only involves contact range interactions among the heavy meson and antimeson fields. We show that the isospin violating decays of the X(3872) can be used to constraint the interaction between the $D$ and a $\bar{D}^*$ mesons in the isovector channel. As a consequence, we can rule out the existence of a isovector partner of the X(3872). If we additionally assume th…
In the present work we include the isovector-scalar $δ$-meson in the quark-meson coupling model (QMC) and study the properties of asymmetric nuclear within QMC without and with the $δ$-meson. Recent constraints set by isospin diffusion on the slope parameter of the nuclear symmetry energy at saturation density are used to adjust the model parameters. The thermodynamical spinodal surfaces are obtained and the instability region at subsaturation densities within QMC and QMC$δ$ models are compared with mean-field relativistic models. The distillation effect in the QMC model is discussed.
An improvement in the treatment of the isovector channel of relativistic mean field (RMF) models based on effective field theory (E-RMF) is suggested, by adding an isovector scalar (delta) meson and using a similar procedure to the one used by Horowitz and Piekarewicz to adjust the isovector-vector channel in order to achieve a softer density dependent symmetry energy of the nuclear matter at high density. Their effects on the equation of state (EOS) at high density and on the neutrino mean free path (NMFP) in neutron stars are discussed.
In this work we study the warm equation of state of asymmetric nuclear matter in the quark meson coupling model which incorporates explicitly quark degrees of freedom, with quarks coupled to scalar, vector and isovector mesons. Mechanical and chemical instabilities are discussed as a function of density and isospin asymmetry. The binodal section, essential in the study of the liquid-gas phase transition is also constructed and discussed. The main results for the equation of state are compared with two common parametrizations used in the non-linear Walecka model and the differences are outlined…
The isospin breaking in the nucleon isovector axial charge, $g_A^3$, are calculated within the external field QCD sum-rule approach. The isospin violations arising from the difference in up and down current quark masses and in up and down quark condensates are included; electromagnetic effects are not considered. We find $δg^3_A/g^3_A \approx (0.5-1.0)\times 10^{-2}$, where $δg^3_A = (g^3_A)_p + (g^3_A)_n$ and $ g^3_A = [(g^3_A)_p - (g^3_A)_n]/2$. Using the Goldberger-Treiman relation, we also obtain an estimate of the isospin breaking in the pion-nucleon coupling constant, $(g_{ppπ_0}-g_{nnπ_…
Although ab-initio calculations of relativistic Brueckner theory lead to large scalar isovector fields in nuclear matter, at present, successful versions of covariant density functional theory neglect the interactions in this channel. A new high precision density functional DD-ME$δ$ is presented which includes four mesons $σ$, $ω$, $δ$, and $ρ$ with density dependent meson-nucleon couplings. It is based to a large extent on microscopic ab-initio calculations in nuclear matter. Only four of its parameters are determined by adjusting to binding energies and charge radii of finite nuclei. The oth…
An improved quark mass density- dependent model with the non-linear scalar sigma field and the $ω$-meson field is presented. We show that the present model can describe saturation properties, the equation of state, the compressibility and the effective nuclear mass of nuclear matter under mean field approximation successfully. The comparison of the present model and the quark-meson coupling model is addressed.

Green's function Monte Carlo calculations of magnetic moments and M1 transitions including two-body meson-exchange current (MEC) contributions are reported for A<=7 nuclei. The realistic Argonne v18 two-nucleon and Illinois-2 three-nucleon potentials are used to generate the nuclear wave functions. The two-body meson-exchange operators are constructed to satisfy the continuity equation with the Argonne v18 potential. The MEC contributions increase the A=3,7 isovector magnetic moments by 16% and the A=6,7 M1 transition rates by 17--34%, bringing them into very good agreement with the experiment…
We present a detailed Lattice QCD study of the unpolarized isovector quark Parton Distribution Function (PDF) using large-momentum effective theory framework. We choose a quasi-PDF defined by a spatial correlator which is free from mixing with other operators of the same dimension. In the lattice simulation, we use a Gaussian-momentum-smeared source at $M_π=356$ MeV and $P_z \in \{1.8,2.3\}$ GeV. To control the systematics associated with the excited states, we explore {five different source-sink separations}. The nonperturbative renormalization is conducted in a regularization-independent mom…
A new improved quark mass density-dependent model including u, d quarks, $σ$ mesons, $ω$ mesons and $ρ$ mesons is presented. Employing this model, the properties of nuclear matter, neutron matter and neutron star are studied. We find that it can describe above properties successfully. The results given by the new improved quark mass density- dependent model and by the quark meson coupling model are compared.
The hadron-quark/gluon phase transition is studied in the two-phase model. As a further study of our previous work, both the isoscalar and isovector vector interactions are included in the Polyakov loop modified Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model (PNJL) for the quark phase. The relevance of the exchange (Fock) terms is stressed and suitably accounted for. The calculation shows that the isovector vector interaction delays the phase transition to higher densities and the range of the mixed phase correspondingly shrinks. Meanwhile the asymmetry parameter of quark matter in the mixed phase decreases with t…
We present results from a lattice QCD study of nucleon matrix elements at vanishing momentum transfer for local and twist-2 isovector operator insertions. Computations are performed on gauge ensembles with non-perturbatively improved $N_f=2+1$ Wilson fermions, covering four values of the lattice spacing and pion masses down to $M_π\approx200$MeV. Several source-sink separations (typically ~1.0fm to ~1.5fm) allow us to assess excited-state contamination. Results on individual ensembles are obtained from simultaneous two-state fits across all observables and all available source-sink separations…
We generalize the Bogoliubov quark-meson coupling model to also include hyperons. The hyperon-$σ$-meson couplings are fixed by the model and the hyperon-$ω$-meson couplings are fitted to the hypreon potentials in symmetric nuclear matter. The present model predicts neutron stars with masses above 2$M_\odot$ and the radius of a 1.4$M_\odot$ star equal to 13.83 km.
The density dependent relativistic hadron field (DDRH) theory is applied to strongly asymmetric nuclear matter and finite nuclei far off stability. A new set of in-medium meson-nucleon vertices is derived from Dirac-Brueckner Hartree-Fock (DBHF) calculations in asymmetric matter, now accounting also for the density dependence of isovector coupling constants. The scalar-isovector $δ$ meson is included. Nuclear matter calculations show that it is necessary to introduce a momentum correction in the extraction of coupling constants from the DBHF self-energies in order to reproduce the DBHF equatio…
