We consider the KPZ equation in one space dimension with narrow wedge initial condition, $h(x,t=0)=- |x|/δ$, $δ\ll 1$. Based on previous results for the weakly asymmetric simple exclusion process with step initial conditions, we obtain a determinantal formula for the one-point distribution of the solution $h(x,t)$ valid for any $x$ and $t>0$. The corresponding distribution function converges in the long time limit, $t\to\infty$, to the Tracy-Widom distribution. The first order correction is a shift of order $t^{-1/3}$. We provide numerical computations based on the exact formula.
The time-dependent probability distribution function of the height for the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation with sharp wedge initial conditions has been obtained recently as a convolution between the Gumbel distribution and a difference of two Fredholm determinants. We evaluate numerically this distribution over the whole time span. The crossover from the short time behavior, which is Gaussian, to the long time behavior, which is governed by the GUE Tracy-Widom distribution, is clearly visible.
In a recent contribution, Dotsenko establishes a Fredholm determinant formula for the two-point distribution of the KPZ equation in the long time limit and starting from narrow wedge initial conditions. We establish that his expression is identical to the Fredholm determinant resulting from the Airy$_2$ process.
We consider the narrow wedge solution to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang stochastic PDE under the characteristic $3:2:1$ scaling of time, space and fluctuations. We study the correlation of fluctuations at two different times. We show that when the times are close to each other, the correlation approaches one at a power-law rate with exponent $2/3$, while when the two times are remote from each other, the correlation tends to zero at a power-law rate with exponent $-1/3$. We also prove exponential-type tail bounds for differences of the solution at two space-time points. Three main tools are pivotal t…
We consider the one-dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation with half Brownian motion initial condition, studied previously through the weakly asymmetric simple exclusion process. We employ the replica Bethe ansatz and show that the generating function of the exponential moments of the height is expressed as a Fredholm determinant. From this the height distribution and its asymptotics are studied. Furthermore using the replica method we also discuss the multi-point height distribution. We find that some nice properties of the deformed Airy functions play an important role in the analysi…
Our previous work on the one-dimensional KPZ equation with sharp wedge initial data is extended to the case of the joint height statistics at n spatial points for some common fixed time. Assuming a particular factorization, we compute an n-point generating function and write it in terms of a Fredholm determinant. For long times the generating function converges to a limit, which is established to be equivalent to the standard expression of the n-point distribution of the Airy process.
For each $t\geq 1$ we construct an $\mathbf{N}$-indexed ensemble of random continuous curves with three properties: 1. The lowest indexed curve is distributed as the time $t$ Hopf-Cole solution to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) stochastic PDE with narrow wedge initial data; 2. The entire ensemble satisfies a resampling invariance which we call the $\mathbf{H}$-Brownian Gibbs property (with $\mathbf{H}(x)=e^{x}$); 3. Increments of the lowest indexed curve, when centered by $-t/24$ and scaled down vertically by $t^{1/3}$ and horizontally by $t^{2/3}$, remain uniformly absolutely continuous (i.e. …
We examine height-height correlations in the transient growth regime of the 2+1 Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class, with a particular focus on the {\it spatial covariance} of the underlying two-point statistics, higher-dimensional analog of the 1+1 KPZ Class Airy$_1$ process. Making comparison to AFM kinetic roughening data in 2d organic thin films, we use our universal 2+1 KPZ spatial covariance to extract key scaling parameters for this experimental system. Additionally, we explore the i) height, ii) local roughness, and iii) extreme value distributions characteristic of these olig…
We study exact stationary properties of the one-dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation by using the replica approach. The stationary state for the KPZ equation is realized by setting the initial condition the two-sided Brownian motion (BM) with respect to the space variable. Developing techniques for dealing with this initial condition in the replica analysis, we elucidate some exact nature of the height fluctuation for the KPZ equation. In particular, we obtain an explicit representation of the probability distribution of the height in terms of the Fredholm determinants. Furthermore f…
We consider the fluctuations in the stochastic growth of a one-dimensional interface of height $h(x,t)$ described by the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class. We study the joint probability distribution function (JPDF) of the interface heights at two times $t_1$ and $t_2>t_1$, with droplet initial conditions at $t=0$. In the limit of large times this JPDF is expected to become a universal function of the time ratio $t_2/t_1$, and of the (properly scaled) heights $h(x,t_1)$ and $h(x,t_2)$. Using the replica Bethe ansatz method for the KPZ equation, in [J. Stat. Mech. (2017) 053212] we o…
Obtaining the exact multi-time correlations for one-dimensional growth models described by the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class is presently an outstanding open problem. Here, we study the joint probability distribution function (JPDF) of the height of the KPZ equation with droplet initial conditions, at two different times $t_1<t_2$, in the limit where both times are large and their ratio $t_2/t_1$ is fixed. This maps to the JPDF of the free energies of two directed polymers with two different lengths and in the same random potential. Using the replica Bethe ansatz (RBA) method, w…
We study the fourth order normalized cumulant of height fluctuations governed by $1+1$ dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation for a growing surface. Following a diagrammatic renormalization scheme, we evaluate the kurtosis $Q$ from the connected diagrams leading to the value $Q=0.1523$ in the large-scale long-time limit.
We provide the first tight bounds on the lower tail probability of the one point distribution of the KPZ equation with narrow wedge initial data. Our bounds hold for all sufficiently large times $T$ and demonstrates a crossover between super-exponential decay with exponent $5/2$ (and leading pre-factor $\frac{4}{15π} T^{1/3}$) for tail depth greater than $T^{2/3}$, and exponent $3$ (with leading pre-factor $\frac{1}{12}$) for tail depth less than $T^{2/3}$.

We consider the early time regime of the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation in $1+1$ dimensions in curved (or droplet) geometry. We show that for short time $t$, the probability distribution $P(H,t)$ of the height $H$ at a given point $x$ takes the scaling form $P(H,t) \sim \exp{\left(-Φ_{\rm drop}(H)/\sqrt{t} \right)}$ where the rate function $Φ_{\rm drop}(H)$ is computed exactly. While it is Gaussian in the center, i.e., for small $H$, the PDF has highly asymmetric non-Gaussian tails which we characterize in detail. This function $Φ_{\rm drop}(H)$ is surprisingly reminiscent of the large dev…
We compute the one-point probability distribution for the stationary KPZ equation (i.e. initial data H(0,X)=B(X), for B(X) a two-sided standard Brownian motion) and show that as time T goes to infinity, the fluctuations of the height function H(T,X) grow like T^{1/3} and converge to those previously encountered in the study of the stationary totally asymmetric simple exclusion process, polynuclear growth model and last passage percolation. The starting point for this work is our derivation of a Fredholm determinant formula for Macdonald processes which degenerates to a corresponding formula fo…
Height fluctuations are studied in the one-dimensional totally asymmetric simple exclusion process with periodic boundaries, with a focus on how late time relaxation towards the non-equilibrium steady state depends on the initial condition. Using a reformulation of the matrix product representation for the dominant eigenstate, the statistics of the height at large scales is expressed, for arbitrary initial conditions, in terms of extremal values of independent standard Brownian bridges. Comparison with earlier exact Bethe ansatz asymptotics leads to explicit conjectures for some conditional pr…
We evaluate the fifth order normalized cumulant, known as hyperskewness, of height fluctuations dictated by the $(1+1)$-dimensional KPZ equation for the stochastic growth of a surface on a flat geometry in the stationary state. We follow a diagrammatic approach and invoke a renormalization scheme to calculate the fifth cumulant given by a connected loop diagram. This, together with the result for the second cumulant, leads to the hyperskewness value $\widetilde{S} = 0.0835$.
We investigate the statistics of Iso-height lines of (2+1)-dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang model at different level sets around the mean height in the saturation regime. We find that the exponent describing the distribution of the height-cluster size behaves differently for level cuts above and below the mean height, while the fractal dimensions of the height-clusters and their perimeters remain unchanged. The winding angle statistics also confirms again the conformal invariance of these contour lines in the same universality class of self-avoiding random walks (SAWs).
The early time regime of the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation in $1+1$ dimension, starting from a Brownian initial condition with a drift $w$, is studied using the exact Fredholm determinant representation. For large drift we recover the exact results for the droplet initial condition, whereas a vanishingly small drift describes the stationary KPZ case, recently studied by weak noise theory (WNT). We show that for short time $t$, the probability distribution $P(H,t)$ of the height $H$ at a given point takes the large deviation form $P(H,t) \sim \exp{\left(-Φ(H)/\sqrt{t} \right)}$. We obtain …
When a growing interface belonging to the KPZ universality class is tilted with average slope $m$, its average velocity increases in $\fracΛ{2}\,m^2$, where $Λ$ is related to the nonlinear coefficient $λ$ of the KPZ equation. Nevertheless, a necessary condition for this association to hold true is that the mean square height-gradient increases in $b\, m^2$ when the interface is tilted. For the continuous KPZ equation $b = 1$ and the relation $Λ=λ$ is achieved. In this work, we study the local fluctuations of the height gradient through an analysis of the values of $b$. We show that, for 1-dime…
We propose a mean field theory for interfaces growing according to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation in 1+1 dimensions. The mean field equations are formulated in terms of densities at different heights, taking surface tension and the influence of the nonlinear term in the KPZ equation into account. Although spatial correlations are neglected, the mean field equations still reflect the spatial dimensionality of the system. In the special case of Edwards-Wilkinson growth, our mean field theory correctly reproduces all features. In the presence of a nonlinear term one observes a crossover to…
We study the spatial correlations of the one-dimensional KPZ surface for the flat initial condition. It is shown that the multi-point joint distribution for the height is given by a Fredholm determinant, with its kernel in the scaling limit explicitly obtained. This may also describe the dynamics of the largest eigenvalue in the GOE Dyson's Brownian motion model. Our analysis is based on a reformulation of the determinantal Green's function for the totally ASEP in terms of a vicious walk problem.
We study the atypically large deviations of the height $H \sim {\cal O}(t)$ at the origin at late times in $1+1$-dimensional growth models belonging to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class. We present exact results for the rate functions for the discrete single step growth model, as well as for the continuum KPZ equation in a droplet geometry. Based on our exact calculation of the rate functions we argue that models in the KPZ class undergo a third order phase transition from a strong coupling to a weak coupling phase, at late times.
It was recently proved in [Corwin-Shen, 2016] that under weak asymmetry scaling, the height functions for open ASEP on the half-line and on a bounded interval converge to the Hopf-Cole solution of the KPZ equation with Neumann boundary conditions. In their assumptions [Corwin-Shen, 2016] chose positive values for the Neumann boundary conditions, and they assumed initial data which is close to stationarity. By developing more extensive heat-kernel estimates, we extend their results to negative values of the Neumann boundary parameters, and we also show how to generalize their results to narrow-…
Time correlations for KPZ growth in 1+1 dimensions are reconsidered. We discuss flat, curved, and stationary initial conditions and are interested in the covariance of the height as a function of time at a fixed point on the substrate. In each case the power laws of the covariance for short and long times are obtained. They are derived from a variational problem involving two independent Airy processes. For stationary initial conditions we derive an exact formula for the stationary covariance with two approaches: (1) the variational problem and (2) deriving the covariance of the time-integrate…
We obtain several exact results for universal distributions involving the maximum of the Airy$_2$ process minus a parabola and plus a Brownian motion, with applications to the 1D Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) stochastic growth universality class. This allows to obtain (i) the universal limit, for large time separation, of the two-time height correlation for droplet initial conditions, e.g. $C_{\infty} = \lim_{t_2/t_1 \to +\infty} \overline{h(t_1) h(t_2)}^c/\overline{h(t_1)^2}^c$, with $C_{\infty} \approx 0.623$, as well as conditional moments, which quantify ergodicity breaking in the time evoluti…
We study atypically large fluctuations of height $H$ in the 1+1-dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation at long times $t$, when starting from a "droplet" initial condition. We derive exact large deviation function of height for $λH<0$, where $λ$ is the nonlinearity coefficient of the KPZ equation. This large deviation function describes a crossover from the Tracy-Widom distribution tail at small $|H|/t$, which scales as $|H|^3/t$, to a different tail at large $|H|/t$, which scales as $|H|^{5/2}/t^{1/2}$. The latter tail exists at all times $t>0$. It was previously obtained in the framew…
We conjecture the universal probability distribution at large time for the one-point height in the 1D Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) stochastic growth universality class, with initial conditions interpolating from any one of the three main classes (droplet, flat, stationary) on the left, to another on the right, allowing for drifts and also for a step near the origin. The result is obtained from a replica Bethe ansatz calculation starting from the KPZ continuum equation, together with a "decoupling assumption" in the large time limit. Some cases are checked to be equivalent to previously known resu…
We provide the first exact calculation of the height distribution at arbitrary time $t$ of the continuum KPZ growth equation in one dimension with flat initial conditions. We use the mapping onto a directed polymer (DP) with one end fixed, one free, and the Bethe Ansatz for the replicated attractive boson model. We obtain the generating function of the moments of the DP partition sum as a Fredholm Pfaffian. Our formula, valid for all times, exhibits convergence of the free energy (i.e. KPZ height) distribution to the GOE Tracy Widom distribution at large time.
We establish a large deviation principle for the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation, providing precise control over the left tail of the height distribution for narrow wedge initial condition. Our analysis exploits an exact connection between the KPZ one-point distribution and the Airy point process -- an infinite particle Coulomb-gas which arises at the spectral edge in random matrix theory. We develop the large deviation principle for the Airy point process and use it to compute, in a straight-forward and assumption-free manner, the KPZ large deviation rate function in terms of an electrosta…
We report on the first exact solution of the KPZ equation in one dimension, with an initial condition which physically corresponds to the motion of a macroscopically curved height profile. The solution provides a determinantal formula for the probability distribution function of the height $h(x,t)$ for all $t>0$. In particular, we show that for large $t$, on the scale $t^{1/3}$, the statistics is given by the Tracy-Widom distribution, known already from the theory of GUE random matrices. Our solution confirms that the KPZ equation describes the interface motion in the regime of weak driving fo…
The one-point distribution of the height for the continuum Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation is determined numerically using the mapping to the directed polymer in a random potential at high temperature. Using an importance sampling approach, the distribution is obtained over a large range of values, down to a probability density as small as 10^{-1000} in the tails. Both short and long times are investigated and compared with recent analytical predictions for the large-deviation forms of the probability of rare fluctuations. At short times the agreement with the analytical expression is spect…
Consider a deterministically growing surface of any dimension, where the growth at a point is an arbitrary nonlinear function of the heights at that point and its neighboring points. Assuming that this nonlinear function is monotone, invariant under the symmetries of the lattice, equivariant under constant shifts, and twice continuously differentiable, it is shown that any such growing surface approaches a solution of the deterministic KPZ equation in a suitable space-time scaling limit.
Brownian motion is a continuum scaling limit for a wide class of random processes, and there has been great success in developing a theory for its properties (such as distribution functions or regularity) and expanding the breadth of its universality class. Over the past twenty five years a new universality class has emerged to describe a host of important physical and probabilistic models (including one dimensional interface growth processes, interacting particle systems and polymers in random environments) which display characteristic, though unusual, scalings and new statistics. This class …
We study the competitive RSOS-BD model focusing on the validity of the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) ansatz h(t) = v t + (Γt)^β χand the universality of the height distributions (HDs) near the point where the model has Edwards-Wilkinson (EW) scaling. Using numerical simulations for long times, we show that the system is asymptotically KPZ, as expected, for values of the probability of the RSOS component very close to p = p_c \approx 0.83. Namely, the growth exponents converge to β_{KPZ} = 1/3 and the HDs converge to the GOE Tracy-Widom distribution, however, the convergence seems to be faster in t…
We study height and roughness distributions of films grown with discrete Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) models in a small time regime which is expected to parallel the typical experimental conditions. Those distributions are measured with square windows of sizes $8\leq r\leq 128$ gliding through a much larger surface. Results for models with weak finite-size corrections indicate that the absolute value of the skewness and the value of the kurtosis of height distributions converge to $0.2\leq |S|\leq 0.3$ and $0\leq Q\leq 0.5$, respectively. Despite the low accuracy of these results, they give addit…
We study the probability distribution $\mathcal{P}(H,t,L)$ of the surface height $h(x=0,t)=H$ in the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation in $1+1$ dimension when starting from a parabolic interface, $h(x,t=0)=x^2/L$. The limits of $L\to\infty$ and $L\to 0$ have been recently solved exactly for any $t>0$. Here we address the early-time behavior of $\mathcal{P}(H,t,L)$ for general $L$. We employ the weak-noise theory - a variant of WKB approximation -- which yields the optimal history of the interface, conditioned on reaching the given height $H$ at the origin at time $t$. We find that at small $H…
We study the ballistic deposition and the grain deposition models on two-dimensional substrates. Using the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) ansatz for height fluctuations, we show that the main contribution to the intrinsic width, which causes strong corrections to the scaling, comes from the fluctuations in the height increments along deposition events. Accounting for this correction in the scaling analysis, we obtained scaling exponents in excellent agreement with the KPZ class. We also propose a method to suppress these corrections, which consists in divide the surface in bins of size $\varepsilon…
We study entropy production and fluctuation relations in the restricted solid-on-solid growth model, which is a microscopic realization of the KPZ equation. Solving the one dimensional model exactly on a particular line of the phase diagram we demonstrate that entropy production quantifies the distance from equilibrium. Moreover, as an example of a physically relevant current different from the entropy, we study the symmetry of the large deviation function associated with the interface height. In a special case of a system of length L=4 we find that the probability distribution of the variatio…
We obtain a simple formula for the stationary measure of the height field evolving according to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation on the interval $[0,L]$ with general Neumann type boundary conditions and any interval size. This is achieved using the recent results of Corwin and Knizel (arXiv:2103.12253) together with Liouville quantum mechanics. Our formula allows to easily determine the stationary measure in various limits: KPZ fixed point on an interval, half-line KPZ equation, KPZ fixed point on a half-line, as well as the Edwards-Wilkinson equation on an interval.
We establish the first tight bound on the lower tail probability of the half-space KPZ equation with Neumann boundary parameter $A = -1/2$ and narrow-wedge initial data. When the tail depth is of order $T^{2/3}$, the lower bound demonstrates a crossover between a regime of super-exponential decay with exponent $\frac{5}{2}$ (and leading pre-factor $\frac{2}{15 π}T^{1/3}$) and a regime with exponent $3$ (and leading pre-factor $\frac{1}{24}$); the upper bound demonstrates a crossover between a regime with exponent $\frac{3}{2}$ (and arbitrarily small pre-factor) and a regime with exponent $3$ (…
We explore probabilistic consequences of correspondences between $q$-Whittaker measures and periodic and free boundary Schur measures established by the authors in the recent paper [arXiv:2106.11922]. The result is a comprehensive theory of solvability of stochastic models in the KPZ class where exact formulas descend from mapping to explicit determinantal and pfaffian point processes. We discover new variants of known results as determinantal formulas for the current distribution of the ASEP on the line and new results such as Fredholm pfaffian formulas for the distribution of the point-to-po…
We explain the exact solution of the 1+1 dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation with sharp wedge initial conditions. Thereby it is confirmed that the continuum model belongs to the KPZ universality class, not only as regards to scaling exponents but also as regards to the full probability distribution of the height in the long time limit.
We show how our previous result based on the replica Bethe ansatz for the Kardar Parisi Zhang (KPZ) equation with the "half-flat" initial condition leads to the Airy$_2$ to Airy$_1$ (i.e. GUE to GOE) universal crossover one-point height distribution in the limit of large time. Equivalently, we obtain the distribution of the free energy of a long directed polymer (DP) in a random potential with one fixed endpoint and the other one on a half-line. We then generalize to a DP when each endpoint is free on its own half-line. It amounts, in the limit of large time, to obtain the distribution of the …
We study the complete probability distribution $\mathcal{P}\left(\bar{H},t\right)$ of the time-averaged height $\bar{H}=(1/t)\int_0^t h(x=0,t')\,dt'$ at point $x=0$ of an evolving 1+1 dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) interface $h\left(x,t\right)$. We focus on short times and flat initial condition and employ the optimal fluctuation method to determine the variance and the third cumulant of the distribution, as well as the asymmetric stretched-exponential tails. The tails scale as $-\ln\mathcal{P}\sim\left|\bar{H}\right|^{3/2} \! /\sqrt{t}$ and $-\ln\mathcal{P}\sim\left|\bar{H}\right|^{5/2…
For stationary interface growth, governed by the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation in 1 + 1 dimensions, typical fluctuations of the interface height at long times are described by the Baik-Rains distribution. Recently Chhita et al. [1] used the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) to study the height fluctuations in systems of the KPZ universality class for Brownian interfaces with arbitrary diffusion constant. They showed that there is a one-parameter family of long-time distributions, parametrized by the diffusion constant of the initial random height profile. They also compu…
We investigate the short-time regime of the KPZ equation in $1+1$ dimensions and develop a unifying method to obtain the height distribution in this regime, valid whenever an exact solution exists in the form of a Fredholm Pfaffian or determinant. These include the droplet and stationary initial conditions in full space, previously obtained by a different method. The novel results concern the droplet initial condition in a half space for several Neumann boundary conditions: hard wall, symmetric, and critical. In all cases, the height probability distribution takes the large deviation form $P(H…
The short time behavior of the 1+1 dimensional KPZ growth equation with a flat initial condition is obtained from the exact expressions of the moments of the partition function of a directed polymer with one endpoint free and the other fixed. From these expressions, the short time expansions of the lowest cumulants of the KPZ height field are exactly derived. The results for these two classes of cumulants are checked in high precision lattice numerical simulations. The short time limit considered here is relevant for the study of the interface growth in the large diffusivity/weak noise limit, …
We present a numerical study of the evolution of height distributions (HDs) obtained in interface growth models belonging to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class. The growth is done on an initially flat substrate. The HDs obtained for all investigated models are very well fitted by the theoretically predicted Gaussian Orthogonal Ensemble (GOE) distribution. The first cumulant has a shift that vanishes as $t^{-1/3}$, while the cumulants of order $2\le n\le 4$ converge to GOE as $t^{-2/3}$ or faster, behaviors previously observed in other KPZ systems. These results yield a new eviden…
The statistics of the average height fluctuation of the one-dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang(KPZ)-type surface is investigated. Guided by the idea of local stationarity, we derive the scaling form of the characteristic function in the early-time regime, $t\ll N^{3/2}$ with $t$ time and $N$ the system size, from the known characteristic function in the stationary state ($t\gg N^{3/2}$) of the single-step model derivable from a Bethe Ansatz solution, and thereby find the scaling properties of the cumulants and the large deviation function in the early-time regime. These results, combined with the…
We revisit the Lieb-Liniger model for $n$ bosons in one dimension with attractive delta interaction in a half-space $\mathbb{R}^+$ with diagonal boundary conditions. This model is integrable for arbitrary value of $b \in \mathbb{R}$, the interaction parameter with the boundary. We show that its spectrum exhibits a sequence of transitions, as $b$ is decreased from the hard-wall case $b=+\infty$, with successive appearance of boundary bound states (or boundary modes) which we fully characterize. We apply these results to study the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation for the growth of a one-dimensional …
We present an exact solution for the height distribution of the KPZ equation at any time $t$ in a half space with flat initial condition. This is equivalent to obtaining the free energy distribution of a polymer of length $t$ pinned at a wall at a single point. In the large $t$ limit a binding transition takes place upon increasing the attractiveness of the wall. Around the critical point we find the same statistics as in the Baik-Ben--Arous-Péché transition for outlier eigenvalues in random matrix theory. In the bound phase, we obtain the exact measure for the endpoint and the midpoint of the…
We investigate the origin of the scaling corrections in ballistic deposition models in high dimensions using the method proposed by Alves \textit{et al}. [Phys Rev. E \textbf{90}, 052405 (20014)] in $d=2+1$ dimensions, where the intrinsic width associated with the fluctuations of the height increments during the deposition processes is explicitly taken into account. In the present work, we show that this concept holds for $d=3+1$ and 4+1 dimensions. We have found that growth and roughness exponents and dimensionless cumulant ratios are in agreement with other models, presenting small finite-ti…
