The extended holographic dark energy model with the Hubble horizon as the infrared cutoff avoids the problem of the circular reasoning of the holographic dark energy model. Unfortunately, it is hit with the no-go theorem. In this paper, we consider the extended holographic dark energy model with a potential, $V(ϕ)$, for the Brans-Dicke scalar field. With the addition of a potential for the Brans-Dicke scalar field, the extended holographic dark energy model using the Hubble horizon as the infrared cutoff is a viable dark energy model, and the model has the dark energy dominated attractor solution.
We consider holographic cosmological models of dark energy in which the infrared cutoff is set by the Hubble's radius. We show that any interacting dark energy model, regardless of its detailed form, can be recast as a non interacting model in which the holographic parameter $c^{2}$ evolves slowly with time. Two specific cases are analyzed. We constrain the parameters of both models with observational data, and show that they can be told apart at the perturbative level.
We consider holographic cosmological models of dark energy in which the infrared cutoff is set by the Hubble's radius. We show that any interacting dark energy model with a matter like term able to alleviate the coincidence problem (i.e., with a positive interaction term, regardless of its detailed form) can be recast as a noninteracting model in which the holographic parameter evolves slowly with time. Two specific cases are analyzed. First, the interacting model presented in [1] is considered, and its corresponding noninteracting version found. Then, a new noninteracting model, with a specif…
The extended holographic dark energy model with the Hubble horizon as the infrared cutoff avoids the problem of the circular reasoning of the holographic dark energy model. We show that the infrared cutoff of the extended holographic dark energy model cannot be the Hubble horizon provided that the Brans-Dicke parameter $ω$ satisfies the experimental constraint $ω> 10^4$, and this is proved as a no-go theorem. The no-go theorem also applies to the case in which the dark matter interacts with the dark energy.
Holographic dark energy with the Hubble radius as infrared cutoff has been considered as a candidate to explain the late-time cosmic acceleration and it can solve the coincidence problem. In this scenario, a non-zero equation of state is only possible if there is an interaction between dark energy and cold dark matter. In this paper, a set of phenomenological interactions is assumed and a detailed analysis of the possible values of the coupling constants is carried out, however the resulting matter power spectrum and cosmic microwave background temperature and polarization power spectra have a…
Holographic dark energy (HDE) describes the vacuum energy in a cosmic IR region whose total energy saturates the limit of avoiding the collapse into a black hole. HDE predicts that the dark energy equation of the state transiting from greater than the $-1$ regime to less than $-1$, accelerating the Universe slower at the early stage and faster at the late stage. We propose the HDE as a new {\it physical} resolution to the Hubble constant discrepancy between the cosmic microwave background (CMB) and local measurements. With Planck CMB and galaxy baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) data, we fit th…
This work is the reconstruction of the interaction rate of holographic dark energy whose infrared cut-off scale is set by the Hubble length. We have reconstructed the interaction rate between dark matter and the holographic dark energy for a specific parameterization of the effective equation of state parameter. We have obtained observational constraints on the model parameters using the latest Type Ia Supernova (SNIa), Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO) and Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation datasets. We have found that for the present model, the interaction rate increases with expan…
We generalize the holographic dark energy model described in Hubble length IR cutoff by assuming a slowly time varying function for holographic parameter $c^2$. We calculate the evolution of EoS parameter and the deceleration parameter as well as the evolution of dark energy density in this generalized model. We show that the phantom line is crossed from quintessence regime to phantom regime which is in agreement with observation. The evolution of deceleration parameter indicates the transition from decelerated to accelerated expansion. Eventually, we show that the GHDE with HIR cutoff can int…
The newly released observational $H(z)$ data (OHD) is used to constrain $Λ(t)$CDM models as holographic and agegraphic dark energy. By the use of the length scale and time scale as the IR cut-off including Hubble horizon (HH), future event horizon (FEH), age of the universe (AU), and conformal time (CT), we achieve four different $Λ(t)$CDM models which can describe the present cosmological acceleration respectively. In order to get a comparison between such $Λ(t)$CDM models and standard $Λ$CDM model, we use the information criteria (IC), $Om(z)$ diagnostic, and statefinder diagnostic to measur…
It is well known that for spatially flat FRW cosmologies, the holographic dark energy disfavours the Hubble parameter as a candidate for the IR cutoff. For overcoming this problem, we explore the use of this cutoff in holographic ellipsoidal cosmological models, and derive the general ellipsoidal metric induced by a such holographic energy density. Despite the drawbacks that this cutoff presents in homogeneous and isotropic universes, based on this general metric, we developed a suitable ellipsoidal holographic cosmological model, filled with a dark matter and a dark energy components. At late…
In the present work, we investigate the power-law entropy corrected holographic dark energy (PLECHDE) model with Hubble horizon cutoff. We use 46 observational Hubble data points in the redshift range $0 \leq z \leq 2.36$ to determine the present Hubble constant $H_0$ and the model parameter $n$. It represents a phase transition of the universe from deceleration to acceleration and has the transition point at $z_t = 0.71165$. We investigate the observational constraints on the model and calculate some relevant cosmological parameters. We examine the model's validity by drawing state-finder par…
We search for sterile neutrinos in the holographic dark energy cosmology by using the latest observational data. To perform the analysis, we employ the current cosmological observations, including the cosmic microwave background temperature power spectrum data from the Planck mission, the baryon acoustic oscillation measurements, the type Ia supernova data, the redshift space distortion measurements, the shear data of weak lensing observation, the Planck lensing measurement, and the latest direct measurement of $H_0$ as well. We show that, compared to the $Λ$CDM cosmology, the holographic dark…
The article addresses a possibility of obtaining cosmologically relevant effects from the quantum nature of the Hubble horizon. Following the observation made by E.~Bianchi and C.~Rovelli in Phys.\ Rev.\ D {\bf 84} (2011) 027502 we explore relationship between the Planck scale discreteness of the Hubble horizon and deformations of the symmetry of rotations. We show that the so-called $q$-deformations in a natural way lead to a mechanism of condensation in the very early Universe. We argue that this provides a possible resolution of the problem of initial homogeneity at the onset of inflation. …
Different holographic dark-energy models are studied from a unifying point of view. We compare models for which the Hubble scale, the future event horizon or a quantity proportional to the Ricci scale are taken as the infrared cutoff length. We demonstrate that the mere definition of the holographic dark-energy density generally implies an interaction with the dark-matter component. We discuss the relation between the equation-of-state parameter and the energy density ratio of both components for each of the choices, as well as the possibility of non-interacting and scaling solutions. Paramete…
In this work, I framed the Renyi and Tsallis Holographic Dark Energy (HDE) models within the presence of a spatially flat and isotropic FRW model filled with matter and dark energy in teleparallel gravity. The energy densities of Renyi HDE and Tsallis holographic dark energy (THDE) are increasing functions of z and validate the expanding conduct of the universe. It is worthwhile to note that for -1<z<0, the EoS parameter of Renyi HDE approaches to phantom region , while THDE confirms to Quintessence region. Further for 0<z, the EoS parameter of Renyi HDE slants to CDM model ,while THDE settles…
In this paper, we make a deep analysis for the five typical interacting holographic dark energy models with the interaction terms $Q=3βH_{0}ρ_{\rm{de}}$, $Q=3βH_{0}ρ_{\rm{c}}$, $Q=3βH_{0}(ρ_{\rm{de}}+ρ_{\rm c})$, $Q=3βH_{0}\sqrt{ρ_{\rm{de}}ρ_{\rm c}}$, and $Q=3βH_{0}\frac{ρ_{\rm{de}}ρ_{c}}{ρ_{\rm{de}}+ρ_{\rm c}}$, respectively. We obtain observational constraints on these models by using the type Ia supernova data (the Joint Light-curve Analysis sample), the cosmic microwave background data (Planck 2015 distance priors), the baryon acoustic oscillations data, and the direct measurement of the …
We study the planar anti-de Sitter black hole in the p-wave holographic superconductor model. We identify a critical coupling value which determines the type of phase transition. Beyond the horizon, at specific temperatures flat spacetime emerges. Numerical analysis close to these temperatures demonstrates the appearance of a large number of alternating Kasner epochs.
A novel fractal structure for the cosmological horizon, inspired by COVID-19 geometry, which results in a modified area entropy, is applied to cosmology in order to serve dark energy. The constraints based on a complete set of observational data are derived. There is a strong Bayesian evidence in favor of such a dark energy in comparison to a standard $Λ$CDM model and that this energy cannot be reduced to a cosmological constant. Besides, there is a shift towards smaller values of baryon density parameter and towards larger values of the Hubble parameter, which reduces the Hubble tension.
The observed acceleration of the present universe is shown to be well explained by the holographic dark energy characterized by the total comoving horizon of the universe ($η$HDE). It is of interest to notice that the very large primordial part of the comoving horizon generated by the inflation of early universe makes the $η$HDE behave like a cosmological constant. As a consequence, both the fine-tuning problem and the coincidence problem can reasonably be understood with the inflationary universe and holographical principle. We present a systematic analysis and obtain a consistent cosmologica…
Towards a Machine Learning Solution for Hubble Tension: Physics-Informed Neural Network (PINN) Analysis of Tsallis Holographic Dark Energy in Presence of Neutrinos
In this work we investigate the holographic dark energy models with slowly time-varying model parameter defined based on the current Hubble horizon length scale. While the previous studies on the three popular holographic dark energy models defined based on the future event horizon, Ricci scale and Granda-Oliveros IR cutoffs showed that these models cannot fit the observational data [1], in this work we show that the holographic dark energy models with time-varying model parameter defined on the current Hubble radius are well favored by observations. Using the standard $χ^2$ minimization in th…
In this paper, the cosmological dynamics of a modified holographic dark energy which is derived from the UV/IR duality by considering the black hole mass in higher dimensions as UV cutoff, is investigated in Dvali-Gabadaze-Porrati (DGP) brane world model. We choose Hubble horizon and future event horizon as IR cutoff respectively. And the two branches of the DGP model are both taken into account. When Hubble horizon is considered as IR cutoff, the modified holographic dark energy (HDE) behaves like an effect dark energy that modification of gravity in pure DGP brane world model acts and it can…
When a black hole forms from collapse in a holographic theory, the information in the black hole interior remains encoded in the boundary. We prove that the area of the black hole's apparent horizon is precisely the entropy associated to coarse graining over the information in its interior, subject to knowing the exterior geometry. This is the maximum holographic entanglement entropy that is compatible with all classical measurements conducted outside of the apparent horizon. We identify the boundary dual to this entropy and explain why it obeys a Second Law of Thermodynamics.
Observations restrict the parameter space of Holographic Dark Energy (HDE) so that a turning point in the Hubble parameter $H(z)$ is inevitable. Concretely, cosmic microwave background (CMB), baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) and Type Ia supernovae (SNE) data put the turning point in the future, but removing SNE results in an observational turning point at positive redshift. From the perspective of theory, not only does the turning point violate the Null Energy Condition (NEC), but as we argue, it may be interpreted as an evolution of the Hubble constant $H_0$ with redshift, which is at odds …
We investigate a stress-energy tensor for a CFT at strong coupling inside a small five-dimensional rotating Myers-Perry black hole with equal angular momenta by using the holographic method. As a gravitational dual, we perturbatively construct a black droplet solution by applying the "derivative expansion" method, generalizing the work of Haddad (arXiv:1207.2305), and analytically compute the holographic stress-energy tensor for our solution. We find that the stress-energy tensor is finite at both the future and past outer (event) horizons, and that the energy density is negative just outside …
In this paper we consider an holographic model of dark energy, where the length scale is the Hubble radius, in a non flat geometry. The model contains the possibility to alleviate the cosmic coincidence problem, and also incorporate a mechanism to obtain the transition from decelerated to an accelerated expansion regime. We derive an analytic form for the Hubble parameter in a non flat universe, and using it, we perform a Bayesian analysis of this model using SNIa, BAO and CMB data. We find from this analysis that the data favored a small value for $Ω_k$, however high enough to still produce c…
We prove a new, large family of area laws in general relativity, which apply to certain classes of untrapped surfaces that we dub generalized holographic screens. Our family of area laws contains, as special cases, the area laws for marginally-trapped surfaces (holographic screens) and the event horizon (Hawking's area theorem). In addition to these results in general relativity, we show that in the context of holography the geometry of a generalized holographic screen is related to the outer entropy of the screen. Specifically, we show for spherically-symmetric spacetimes that the area of the…
We propose a holographic map between Einstein gravity coupled to matter in a de Sitter background and large N quantum mechanics of a system of spins. Holography maps a spin model with a finite dimensional Hilbert space defined on a version of the stretched horizon into bulk gravitational dynamics. The full Hamiltonian of the spin model contains a non-local piece which generates chaotic dynamics, widely conjectured to be a necessary part of quantum gravity, and a local piece which recovers the perturbative spectrum in the bulk.
Employing the modified entropy-area relation suggested by Tsallis and Cirto \cite{non3}, and the holographic hypothesis, a new holographic dark energy (HDE) model is proposed. Considering a flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) universe in which there is no interaction between the cosmos sectors, the cosmic implications of the proposed HDE are investigated. Interestingly enough, we find that the identification of IR-cutoff with the Hubble radius, can lead to the late time accelerated Universe even in the absence of interaction between two dark sectors of the Universe. This is in contrast to th…
We use observational data from Supernovae (SNIa) Pantheon sample, as well as from direct measurements of the Hubble parameter from the cosmic chronometers (CC) sample, in order to extract constraints on the scenario of Barrow holographic dark energy. The latter is a holographic dark energy model based on the recently proposed Barrow entropy, which arises from the modification of the black-hole surface due to quantum-gravitational effects. We first consider the case where the new deformation exponent $Δ$ is the sole model parameter, and we show that although the standard value $Δ=0$, which corr…
By using the holographic hypothesis and Kaniadakis generalized entropy, which is based on relativistic statistical theory and modified Boltzmann-Gibbs entrory, we build Kaniadakis holographic dark energy (DE) model in the Brans-Dicke framework. We drive cosmological parameters of Kaniadakis holographic DE model, with IR cutoff as the Hubble horizon, in order to investigate its cosmological consequences. Our study shows that, even in the absence of an interaction between the dark sectors of cosmos, the Kaniadakis holographic dark energy model with the Hubble radius as IR cutoff can explain the …
In this work we consider a general function for the $c^{2}$ term that appears in the conventional expression for the holographic dark energy in a FLRW curved spacetime. The cut-off prospective is inspired in the apparent horizon length. By exploring the slowly varying condition for the $c^{2}$ term, we obtain a range of validity for this holographic proposal. Under these considerations can be found that this holographic cut-off is adequate to describe the late cosmic evolution. Additionally, by considering some values constrained with the use of observational data for some cosmological paramet…
We propose an infrared cut-off for the holographic the dark-energy, which besides the square of the Hubble scale also contains the time derivative of the Hubble scale. This avoids the problem of causality which appears using the event horizon area as the cut-off, and solves the coincidence problem.
We investigate the bounce realization arising from the application of the holographic principle in the early universe, inspired by its well-studied late-time application. We first consider as Infrared cutoffs the particle and future event horizons, and we show that the decrease of the horizons at early times naturally increases holographic energy density at bouncing scales, while we additionally obtain the necessary null energy condition violation. Furthermore, adding a simple correction to the horizons due to the Ultraviolet cutoff we analytically obtain improved nonsingular bouncing solution…
We study the dynamics of interacting holographic dark energy model in Brans-Dicke cosmology for the future event horizon and the Hubble horizon cut-offs. We determine the system of first-order differential equations for the future event horizon and Hubble horizon cut-offs, and obtain the corresponding fixed points, attractors, repellers and saddle points. Finally, we investigate the cosmic coincidence problem in this model for the future event horizon and Hubble horizon cut-offs and find that for both cut-offs and for a variety of Brans-Dicke parameters the coincidence problem is almost resolv…
We consider the fluid dual of $(d+2)$-dimensional vacuum Einstein equation either with or without a cosmological constant. The background solutions admit black hole event horizons and the spatial sections of the horizons are conformally flat. Therefore, a $d$-dimensional flat Euclidean space $\mathbb{E}^d$ is contained in the conformal class of the spatial section of the black hole horizon. A compressible, forced, stationary and viscous fluid system can be constructed on the product (Newtonian) spacetime $\mathbb{R}\times\mathbb{E}^d$ as the lowest order fluctuation modes around such black hol…
In this work, the Renyi holographic dark energy (RHDE)and its behaviour has been explored with the anisotropic and spatially homogeneous Bianchi type-I Universe in the framework of $f(G)$ gravity. We use IR cutoff as the Hubble and Granda-Oliveros (GO) horizons. To find a consistent solutions of the field equations of the models, it is assumed that the deceleration parameter is defined in terms of function of Hubble parameter $H$. With reference to current cosmological data, the behaviors of the cosmological parameters relating to the dark energy model are evaluated and their physical signific…
It is shown that the first law of thermodynamics and the holographic principle applied to an arbitrary large cosmic causal horizon naturally demand the zero cosmological constant and non-zero dynamical dark energy in the form of the holographic dark energy. Semiclassical analysis shows that the holographic dark energy has a parameter $d=1$ and an equation of state comparable to current observational data, if the entropy of the horizon saturates the Bekenstein-Hawking bound. This result indicates that quantum field theory should be modified at large scale to explain dark energy. The relations a…
We obtain the holographic complexity of an evaporating black hole in the semi-classical RST model of two-dimensional dilaton gravity, using a volume prescription that takes into account the higher-dimensional origin of the model. For classical black holes, we recover the expected late time behaviour of the complexity, but new features arise at the semi-classical level. By considering the volume inside the stretched horizon of the evolving black hole, we obtain sensible results for the rate of growth of the complexity, with an early onset of order the black hole scrambling time followed by an e…
We apply the holographic principle at the early universe, obtaining an inflation realization of holographic origin. Such a consideration has equal footing with its well-studied late-time application, and moreover the decrease of the horizons at early times naturally increases holographic energy density at inflationary scales. Taking as Infrared cutoff the particle or future event horizons, and adding a simple correction due to the Ultraviolet cutoff, whose role is non-negligible at the high energy scales of inflation, we result in a holographic inflation scenario that is very efficient in inco…
We compute the length of spacelike geodesics anchored at opposite sides of certain double-sided flow geometries in two dimensions. These geometries are asymptotically anti-de Sitter but they admit either a de Sitter or a black hole event horizon in the interior. While in the geometries with black hole horizons, the geodesic length always exhibit linear growth at late times, in the flow geometries with de Sitter horizons, geodesics with finite length only exist for short times of the order of the inverse temperature and they do not exhibit linear growth. We comment on the implications of these …
Horizon thermodynamics and cosmological equations: A holographic-like connection between thermostatistical quantities on a cosmological horizon and in the bulk
So far, there have been no theories or observational data that deny the presence of interaction between dark energy and dark matter. We extend naturally the holographic dark energy (HDE) model, proposed by Granda and Oliveros, in which the dark energy density includes not only the square of the Hubble scale, but also the time derivative of the Hubble scale to the case with interaction and the analytic forms for the cosmic parameters are obtained under the specific boundary conditions. The various behaviors concerning the cosmic expansion depend on the introduced numerical parameters which are …
We explore asymptotically AdS$_2$ solutions of a particular two-dimensional dilaton-gravity theory. In the deep interior, these solutions flow to the cosmological horizon of dS$_2$. We calculate various matter perturbations at the linearised and non-linear level. We consider both Euclidean and Lorentzian perturbations. The results can be used to characterise the features of a putative dual quantum mechanics. The chaotic nature of the de Sitter horizon is assessed through the soft mode action at the AdS$_2$ boundary, as well as the behaviour of shockwave type solutions.
In a Rindler-type coordinate system spanned in a region outside of a black hole horizon, we have nonvanishing classical holographic charges as soft hairs on the horizon for stationary black holes. Taking a large black hole mass limit, the spacetimes with the charges are described by asymptotic Rindler metrics. We construct a general theory of gravitational holographic charges for a (1+3)-dimensional linearized gravity field in the Minkowski background with Rindler horizons. Although matter crossing a Rindler horizon causes horizon deformation and a time-dependent coordinate shift, that is, gra…
The paper deals with a theoretical model for interacting Tsallis holographic dark energy (THDE) whose infrared (IR) cut-off scale is set by the Hubble length. The interaction $Q$ between the dark sectors (dark energy and pressureless dark matter) of the universe has been assumed to be non-gravitational in nature. The functional form of $Q$ is chosen in such a way that it reproduces well known and most used interactions as special cases. We then study the nature of the THDE density parameter, the equation of state parameter, the deceleration parameter and the jerk parameter for this interacting…
We proposed the generalized holographic dark energy model where infrared cutoff is identified with the combination of the FRW universe parameters: the Hubble rate, particle and future horizons, cosmological constant, the universe life-time (if finite) and their derivatives. It is demonstrated that with the corresponding choice of the cutoff one can map such holographic dark energy to modified gravity or gravity with general fluid. Explicitly, F(R) gravity and general perfect fluid are worked out in detail and corresponding infrared cutoff is found. Using this correspondence, we get realistic i…
Using "complexity=action" proposal we study the late time growth rate of holographic complexity for nonlinear charged Lifshitz black hole with a single horizon or two horizons. As a toy model, we consider two kinds of such black holes: nonlinear charged Lifshitz black hole and nonlinear logarithmic charged Lifshitz black hole. We find that for the black hole with two horizons, the action growth bound is satisfied. But for the black hole with a single horizon, whether the Lloyd bound is violated depends on the specific value of dimensionless coupling constants $β_{1},β_{2}$, spacetime dimension…
We argue that states with nontrivial horizontal charges of BTZ black hole can be excited by ordinary falling matter including Hawking radiation. The matter effect does not break the integrability condition of the charges on the horizon. Thus we are able to trace the proccesses in which the matter imprints the information on the horizon by use of the charged states. It is naturally expected that in the thermal equilibrium with the Hawking radiation the black hole wanders ergodically through different horizontal states due to thermal fluctuation of incoming matter. This fact strengthens plausibi…
We study the inflation via logarithmic entropy-corrected holographic dark energy LECHDE model with future event horizon, particle horizon and Hubble horizon cut-offs, and compare the results with those of obtained in the study of inflation by holographic dark energy HDE model. In comparison, the spectrum of primordial scalar power spectrum in the LECHDE model becomes redder than the spectrum in HDE model. Moreover, the consistency with the observational data in LECHDE model of inflation, constrains the reheating temperature and Hubble parameter by one parameter of holographic dark energy and t…
