We demonstrate a family of Strichartz estimates for the conformally invariant Klein-Gordon equation on a class of asymptotically de Sitter spaces with C^2 metrics by using well-known local Strichartz estimates and a rescaling argument. This class of metrics includes de Sitter space. We also give an application of the estimates to a semilinear Klein-Gordon equation on these spaces.
In this article we prove a family of local (in time) weighted Strichartz estimates with derivative losses for the Klein-Gordon equation on asymptotically de Sitter spaces and provide a heuristic argument for the non-existence of a global dispersive estimate on these spaces. The weights in the estimates depend on the mass parameter and disappear in the "large mass" regime. We also provide an application of these estimates to establish small-data global existence for a class of semilinear equations on these spaces.
We prove local in time Strichartz estimates without loss for the restriction of the solution of the Schroedinger equation, outside a large compact set, on a class of asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds.
We prove Strichartz estimates for the kinetic transport equation. Our results extend considerably the known in the literature range of the Strichartz estimates for that equation.
We obtain Strichartz estimates for the fractional heat equations by using both the abstract Strichartz estimates of Keel-Tao and the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality. We also prove an endpoint homogeneous Strichartz estimate via replacing $ L^{\infty}_{x}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ by $BMO_{x}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ and a parabolic homogeneous Strichartz estimate. Meanwhile, we generalize the Strichartz estimates by replacing the Lebesgue spaces with either Besov spaces or Sobolev spaces. Moreover, we establish the Strichartz estimates for the fractional heat equations with a time dependent potential of an…
We present abstract inhomogeneous Strichartz estimates for dispersive operators, extending previous work by M. Keel and T. Tao on the one hand, and generalising results of D. Foschi, M. Vilela, M. Nakamura and T. Ozawa on the other hand. It is shown that these abstract estimates imply new inhomogeneous Strichartz estimates for the wave equation and some Schrödinger equations involving potentials.
Using recent work of Bourgain-Dyatlov we show that for any convex co-compact hyperbolic surface Strichartz estimates for the Schrödinger equation hold with an arbitrarily small loss of regularity.
In this paper we prove Strichartz estimates for the Dirac equation on asymptotically flat manifolds. The proof combines the weak dispersive estimates proved by the first two authors with the Strichartz and smoothing estimates for the wave and Klein-Gordon flows, exploiting some recent results in the same geometrical setting.
The purpose of this note is to prove sharp Strichartz estimates with derivative losses for the non elliptic Schrodinger equation posed on the 2 dimensional torus.
The authors prove global Strichartz estimates for compact perturbations of the wave operator in odd dimensions when a non-trapping assumption is satisfied.
We prove local Strichartz estimates on compact manifolds with boundary. Our results also apply more generally to compact manifolds with Lipschitz metrics.
There have been a lot of works concerning the Strichartz estimates for the perturbed Schrödinger equation by potential. These can be basically carried out adopting the well-known procedure for obtaining the Strichartz estimates from the weighted $L^2$ resolvent estimates for the Laplacian. In this paper we handle the Strichartz estimates without relying on the resolvent estimates. This enables us to consider various potential classes such as the Morrey-Campanato classes.
We consider Schrödinger equation with a non-degenerate metric on the Euclidean space. We study local in time Strichartz estimates for the Schrödinger equation without loss of derivatives including the endpoint case. In contrast to the Riemannian metric case, we need the additional assumptions for the well-posedness of our Schrödinger equation and for proving Strichartz estimates without loss.
Recently, the Strichartz estimates for the damped wave equation was obtained by the first author except for the wave endpoint case. In the present paper, we give the Strichartz estimate in the wave endpoint case. We slightly modify the argument of Keel--Tao. Moreover, we apply the endpoint Strichartz estimate to the unconditional uniqueness for the energy critical nonlinear damped wave equation. This problem seems not to be solvable as the perturbation of the wave equation.
We prove local in time Strichartz estimates for the Dirac equation on spherically symmetric manifolds. As an application, we give a result of local well-posedness for some nonlinear models.
We prove Strichartz estimates without loss for the Schrödinger equation and the wave equation outside finitely many strictly convex obstacles verifying Ikawa's condition, extending the approach we introduced previously for the two convex case.
We prove Strichartz estimates for solutions to Maxwell equations in three dimensions with rough permittivities, which have less than three different eigenvalues. To this end, Maxwell equations are conjugated to half-wave equations in phase space. We use the Strichartz estimates in a known combination with energy estimates to show the new well-posedness results for quasilinear Maxwell equations.
In this paper we consider inhomogeneous Strichartz estimates in the mixed norm spaces which are given by taking temporal integration before spatial integration. We obtain some new estimates, and discuss about the necessary conditions.
We firstly prove Strichartz estimates for the fractional Schrödinger equations on $\mathbb{R}^d$ endowed with a smooth bounded metric $g$. We then prove Strichartz estimates for the fractional Schrödinger and wave equations on compact Riemannian manifolds without boundary $(M,g)$. We finally give applications of Strichartz estimates for the local well-posedness of the pure power-type nonlinear fractional Schrödinger and wave equations posed on $(M,g)$.
The initial value problem for the homogeneous Schrödinger equation is investigated for radially symmetric initial data with slow decay rates and not too wild oscillations. Our global wellposedness results apply to initial data for which Strichartz estimates fail.
We prove global Strichartz estimates (with spectral cutoff on the low frequencies) for non trapping metric perturbations of the Schroedinger equation, posed on the Euclidean space.
We prove global, scale invariant Strichartz estimates for the linear magnetic Schrödinger equation with small time dependent magnetic field. This is done by constructing an appropriate parametrix. As an application, we show a global regularity type result for Schrödinger maps in dimensions $n\geq 6$.
We prove almost Strichartz estimates found after adding regularity in the spherical coordinates for Schrödinger-like equations. The estimates are sharp up to endpoints. The proof relies on estimates involving spherical averages. Sharpness is discussed making use of a modified Knapp-type example.
Applying the spectral measure estimates obtained in the author's joint work with A. Hassell, we establish global-in-time Strichartz estimates without loss via truncated / microlocalized dispersive estimates as well as energy estimates.
We study local in time Strichartz estimates for the Schroedinger equation associated to long range perturbations of the flat Laplacian on the euclidean space. We prove that in such a geometric situation, outside of a large ball centered at the origin, the solutions of the Schroedinger equation enjoy the same Strichartz estimates as in the non perturbed situation. The proof is based on the Isozaki-Kitada parametrix construction. If in addition the metric is non trapping, we prove that the Strichartz estimates hold in the whole space.
The purpose of this note is to present an alternative proof of a result by H. Smith and C. Sogge showing that in odd dimension of space, local (in time) Strichartz estimates and exponential decay of the local energy for solutions to wave equations imply global Strichartz estimates. Our proof allows to extend the result to the case of even dimensions of space
We present a slightly simpler proof of the multilinear refined Strichartz estimate, and prove a slightly more general linear refined Strichartz estimate. Our arguments seek to clarify the connection between these estimates, refined decoupling and tube incidences.
We prove certain weighted Strichartz estimates and use these to prove a sharp theorem for global existence of small amplitude solutions of $\square u= |u|^p$, thus verifying the so-called "Strauss conjecture".
We show global-in-time Strichartz estimates for the isotropic Maxwell system with divergence free data. On the scalar permittivity and permeability we impose decay assumptions as $|x|\to\infty$ and a non-trapping condition. The proof is based on smoothing estimates in weighted $L^2$ spaces which follow from corresponding resolvent estimates for the underlying Helmholtz problem.
In this paper we investigate the dispersive properties of the solutions of the two dimensional water-waves system. First we prove Strichartz type estimates with loss of derivatives at the same low level of regularity we were able to construct the solutions in [2]. On the other hand, for smoother initial data, we prove that the solutions enjoy the optimal Strichartz estimates (i.e, without loss of regularity compared to the system linearized at (? = 0, ? = 0)).
In this paper, we prove new Strichartz estimates for linear Schrodinger equations posed on d-dimensional irrational tori. Then, we use these estimates to prove subcritical and critical local well-posedness results for nonlinear Schrodinger equations (NLS) on irrational tori.
In this paper, we establish bilinear and gradient bilinear Strichartz estimates for Schrödinger operators in 2 dimensional compact manifolds with boundary. Using these estimates, we can infer the local well-posedness of cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation in $H^s$ for every $s>{2/3}$ on such manifolds.
We look for the optimal range of Lebesque exponents for which inhomogeneous Strichartz estimates are valid. We show that it is larger than the one given by admissible exponents for homogeneous estimates. We prove inhomogeneous estimates adopting the abstract setting and interpolation techniques already used by Keel and Tao for the endpoint case of the homogenenous estimates. Applications to Schrodinger equations are given, which extend previous work by Kato.
Strichartz estimates for a time-decaying harmonic oscillator were proven with some assumptions of coefficients for the time-decaying harmonic potentials. The main results of this paper are to remove these assumptions and to enable us to deal with the more general coefficient functions. Moreover, we also prove similar estimates for time-decaying homogeneous magnetic fields.
Quadratic repulsive potentials $- τ^2 |x| ^2$ accelerate the quantum particle, increasing the velocity of the particle exponentially in $t$; this phenomenon yields fast decaying dispersive estimates. In this study, we consider the Strichartz estimates associated with this phenomenon. First, we consider the free repulsive Hamiltonian, and prove that the Strichartz estimates hold for every admissible pair $(q,r)$, which satisfies $1/q +n/(2r) \geq n/4$ with $q$, $r \geq 2$. Second, we consider the perturbed repulsive Hamiltonian with a slowly decaying potential, such that $|V(x)| \leq C(1+|x|)^{…
In this short note, we prove Strichartz estimates for Schrödinger operators with slowly decaying singular potentials in dimension two. This is a generalization of the recent results by Mizutani, which are stated for dimension greater than two. The main ingredient of the proof is a variant of Kato's smoothing estimate with a singular weight.
Strichartz estimates are derived from $\ell^2$-decoupling for phase functions satisfying a curvature condition. Bilinear refinements without loss in the high frequency are discussed. Estimates are established from uniform curvature generalizing Galilean invariance or from transversality in one dimension. The bilinear refinements are utilized to prove local well-posedness for generalized cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equations.
We prove spacetime weighted-L^2 estimates for the Schrodinger and wave equation with an inverse-square potential. We then deduce Strichartz estimates for these equations.
We give several remarks on Strichartz estimates for homogeneous wave equation with special attention to the cases of $L^\infty_x$ estimates, radial solutions and initial data from the inhomogeneous Sobolev spaces. In particular, we give the failure of the endpoint estimate $L^4_t L^\infty_x$ for $n=2$.
A refinement of the energy method is introduced for dispersive PDE with derivative nonlinearity posed on tori. Key ingredient is a shorttime bilinear Strichartz estimate, which is used in a known combination of perturbative and energy arguments.
We prove new inhomogeneous generalized Strichartz estimates, which do not follow from the homogeneous generalized estimates by virtue of the Christ-Kiselev lemma. Instead, we make use of the bilinear interpolation argument worked out by Keel and Tao and refined by Foschi presented in a unified framework. Finally, we give a sample application.
In this note we consider the Schrödinger equation on compact manifolds equipped with possibly degenerate metrics. We prove Strichartz estimates with a loss of derivatives. The rate of loss of derivatives depends on the degeneracy of metrics. For the non-degenerate case we obtain, as an application of the main result, the same Strichartz estimates as that in the elliptic case. This extends Strichartz estimates for Riemannian metrics proved by Burq-Gérard-Tzvetkov to the non-elliptic case and improves the result by Salort. We also investigate the optimality of the result for the case on $\mathbb…
We introduce a novel data randomisation for the free wave equation which leads to the same range of Strichartz estimates as for radial data, albeit in a non-radial context. We then use these estimates to establish global well-posedness for a wave maps type nonlinear wave equation for certain supercritical data, provided the data are suitably small and randomised.
We prove global Strichartz estimates without loss outside two strictly convex obstacles, combining arguments from M.Ikawa (1982,1988) with more recent ones inspired by N.Burq, C.Guillarmou, and A. Hassell (2010) and O. Ivanovici (2010). This is to be contrasted with the loss in the smoothing estimate for the Schrödinger equation with Dirichlet boundary conditions in the presence of a trapped geodesic.
In this paper we show a general Strichartz estimate for certain perturbed wave equation, and here we can drop the nontrapping hypothesis and handle trapping obstacles with some loss of derivatives for data in the local energy decay estimates. Then we give the obstacle version of sharp life span for semilinear wave equations when $n=3,p<p_c$, by using a real interpolation method, and by getting a corresponding finite time Strichartz estimates(see section 3). Finally, as an application of the general Strichartz estimates we have gained, we get the Strauss conjecture for semilinear wave equations…
The endpoint Strichartz estimates for two-dimensional Schrodinger equations were recovered by averaging the solutions in L^2 in the angular variable by Tao. For Schrodinger equations with defocusing inverse square potential, we proved that the homogeneous endpoint estimates hold under this setting. In particular, the original versions of endpoint estimates hold for radial data.
In the present paper we consider Schrödinger equations with variable coefficients and potentials, where the principal part is a long-range perturbation of the flat Laplacian and potentials have at most linear growth at spatial infinity. We then prove local-in-time Strichartz estimates, outside a large compact set centered at origin, expect for the endpoint. Moreover we also prove global-in-space Strichartz estimates under the non-trapping condition on the Hamilton flow generated by the kinetic energy.
The objective of this paper is to report on recent progress on Strichartz estimates for the Schrödinger equation and to present the state-of-the-art. These estimates have been obtained in Lebesgue spaces, Sobolev spaces and, recently, in Wiener amalgam and modulation spaces. We present and compare the different technicalities. Then, we illustrate applications to well-posedness.
