英文摘要:
Gibbs random fields corresponding to systems of real-valued spins (e.g. systems of interacting anharmonic oscillators) indexed by the vertices of unbounded degree graphs with a certain summability property are constructed. It is proven that the set of tempered Gibbs random fields is non-void and weakly compact, and that they obey uniform exponential integrability estimates. In the second part of the paper, a class of graphs is described in which the mentioned summability is obtained as a consequence of a property, by virtue of which vertices of large degree are located at large distances from each other. The latter is a stronger version of a metric property, introduced in [Bassalygo, L. A. and Dobrushin, R. L. (1986). \textrm{Uniqueness of a Gibbs field with a random potential--an elementary approach.}\textit{Theory Probab. Appl.} {\bf 31} 572--589].
We study the derivation of the Gibbs measure for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLS) from many-body quantum thermal states in the high-temperature limit. In this paper, we consider the nonlocal NLS with defocusing and unbounded $L^p$ interaction potentials on $\mathbb{T}^d$ for $d=1,2,3$. This extends the author's earlier joint work with Fröhlich, Knowles, and Schlein, where the regime of defocusing and bounded interaction potentials was considered. When $d=1$, we give an alternative proof of a result previously obtained by Lewin, Nam, and Rougerie. Our proof is based on a perturbative ex…
We construct marked Gibbs point processes in $\mathbb{R}^d$ under quite general assumptions. Firstly, we allow for interaction functionals that may be unbounded and whose range is not assumed to be uniformly bounded. Indeed, our typical interaction admits an a.s. finite but random range. Secondly, the random marks -- attached to the locations in $\mathbb{R}^d$ -- belong to a general normed space $\mathcal{S}$. They are not bounded, but their law should admit a super-exponential moment. The approach used here relies on the so-called entropy method and large-deviation tools in order to prove tig…
We study equilibrium states of an infinite system of interacting particles in a Euclidean space. The particles bear `unbounded' spins with a given symmetric a priori distribution. The interaction between the particles is pairwise and splits into position-position and spin-spin parts. The position-position part is described by a superstable potential, and the spin-spin part is attractive and of finite range. Thermodynamic states of the system are defined as tempered Gibbs measures on the space of marked configurations. We derive sufficient conditions of the existence and uniqueness of these Gib…
We determine the possible scaling limits in the quantum central limit theorem with respect to the Gibbs state, for a growing distance-regular graph that has so-called classical parameters with base unequal to one. We also describe explicitly the corresponding weak limits of the normalized spectral distribution of the adjacency matrix. We demonstrate our results with the known infinite families of distance-regular graphs having classical parameters and with unbounded diameter.
Boltzmann-Gibbs random fields are defined in terms of the exponential expression exp(-H), where H is a suitably defined energy functional of the field states x(s). This paper presents a new Boltzmann-Gibbs model which features local interactions in the energy functional. The interactions are embodied in a spatial coupling function which uses smoothed kernel-function approximations of spatial derivatives inspired from the theory of smoothed particle hydrodynamics. A specific model for the interactions based on a second-degree polynomial of the Laplace operator is studied. An explicit, mesh-free…
We consider the problem of sampling from the ferromagnetic Potts and random-cluster models on a general family of random graphs via the Glauber dynamics for the random-cluster model. The random-cluster model is parametrized by an edge probability $p \in (0,1)$ and a cluster weight $q > 0$. We establish that for every $q\ge 1$, the random-cluster Glauber dynamics mixes in optimal $Θ(n\log n)$ steps on $n$-vertex random graphs having a prescribed degree sequence with bounded average branching $γ$ throughout the full high-temperature uniqueness regime $p<p_u(q,γ)$. The family of random graph mode…
The configuration model generates random graphs with any given degree distribution, and thus serves as a null model for scale-free networks with power-law degrees and unbounded degree fluctuations. For this setting, we study the local clustering $c(k)$, i.e., the probability that two neighbors of a degree-$k$ node are neighbors themselves. We show that $ c(k)$ progressively falls off with $k$ and eventually for $k=Ω(\sqrt{n})$ settles on a power law $c(k)\sim k^{-2(3-τ)}$ with $τ\in(2,3)$ the power-law exponent of the degree distribution. This fall-off has been observed in the majority of real…
The polymer model framework is a classical tool from statistical mechanics that has recently been used to obtain approximation algorithms for spin systems on classes of bounded-degree graphs; examples include the ferromagnetic Potts model on expanders and on the grid. One of the key ingredients in the analysis of polymer models is controlling the growth rate of the number of polymers, which has been typically achieved so far by invoking the bounded-degree assumption. Nevertheless, this assumption is often restrictive and obstructs the applicability of the method to more general graphs. For exa…
The paper concerns the $q$-state Potts model (i.e., with spin values in $\{1,\dots,q\}$) on a Cayley tree $\mathbb{T}^k$ of degree $k\geq 2$ (i.e., with $k+1$ edges emanating from each vertex) in an external (possibly random) field. We construct the so-called splitting Gibbs measures (SGM) using generalized boundary conditions on a sequence of expanding balls, subject to a suitable compatibility criterion. Hence, the problem of existence/uniqueness of SGM is reduced to solvability of the corresponding functional equation on the tree. In particular, we introduce the notion of translation-invari…
We prove large-time Gaussian upper bounds for continuous-time heat kernels of Laplacians on graphs with unbounded geometry. Our estimates hold for centers of large balls satisfying a Sobolev inequality and volume doubling. Distances are measured with respect to an intrinsic metric with finite distance balls and finite jump size. The Gaussian decay is given by Davies' function which is natural and sharp in the graph setting. Furthermore, we find a new polynomial correction term which does not blow up at zero. Although our main focus is unbounded Laplacians, the results are new even for the norm…
We derive Gaussian heat kernel bounds on graphs with respect to a fixed origin for large times under the assumption of a Sobolev inequality and volume doubling on large balls. The upper bound from our previous work [KR22] is affected by a new correction term measuring the distance to the origin. The main result is then applied to anti-trees with unbounded vertex degree, yielding Gaussian upper bounds for this class of graphs for the first time. In order to prove this, we show that isoperimetric estimates with respect to intrinsic metrics yield Sobolev inequalities. Finally, we prove that anti-…
We formulate a continuous version of the well known discrete hardcore (or independent set) model on a locally finite graph, parameterized by the so-called activity parameter $λ> 0$. In this version, the state or "spin value" $x_u$ of any node $u$ of the graph lies in the interval $[0,1]$, the hardcore constraint $x_u + x_v \leq 1$ is satisfied for every edge $(u,v)$ of the graph, and the space of feasible configurations is given by a convex polytope. When the graph is a regular tree, we show that there is a unique Gibbs measure associated to each activity parameter $λ>0$. Our result shows that…
In this paper we complete the analysis of a statistical mechanics model on Cayley trees of any degree, started in [EsHaRo12,EsRo10,BoEsRo13,JaKuBo14,Bo17]. The potential is of nearest-neighbor type and the local state space is compact but uncountable. Based on the system parameters we prove existence of a critical value $θ_{\rm c}$ such that for $θ\le θ_{\rm c}$ there is a unique translation-invariant splitting Gibbs measure. For $θ_{\rm c}<θ$ there is a phase transition with exactly three translation-invariant splitting Gibbs measures. The proof rests on an analysis of fixed points of an asso…
