An integrated Boltzmann+hydrodynamics transport approach is applied to investigate the dependence of the mean transverse mass on the freeze-out and the equation of state over the energy range from $E_{\rm lab}=2-160A $GeV. This transport approach based on the Ultra-relativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics (UrQMD) with an intermediate hydrodynamic stage allows for a systematic comparison without adjusting parameters. We find that the multiplicities of pions and protons are rather insensitive to different freeze-out prescriptions and changes in the equation of state, but the yields are slightly reduced in the hybrid model calculation compared to a pure transport calculation while the (anti)kaon multiplicities are increased. The mean transverse mass excitation functions of all three particle species are found to be sensitive to the different freeze-out treatments as well as to the equation of state. We find that the bag model equation of state with a strong first order phase transition is in qualitative agreement with the experimentally observed step-like behaviour in the < m_T > excitation function. The hybrid model with a hadron gas equation of state leads to a overestimation of the < m_T >, especially at higher energies. However, non-equilibrium effects seem also to be substantial as is suggested by the comparison with standard UrQMD results.
We investigate, in microcanonical multifragmentation models, the influence of the amount of energy dissipated in break-up fragments excitation on freeze-out volume determination. Assuming a limiting temperature decreasing with nuclear mass, we obtain for the Xe+Sn at 32 MeV/nucleon reaction [J. D. Frankland et al., Nucl. Phys. A689, 905 (2001); A689, 940 (2001)] a freeze-out volume almost half the one deduced using a constant limiting temperature.
Thermodynamical features of Xe system is investigated as functions of temperature and freeze-out density in the frame of lattice gas model. The calculation shows different temperature dependence of physical observables at different freeze-out density. In this case, the critical temperature when the phase transition takes place depends on the freeze-out density. However, a unique critical excitation energy reveals regardless of freeze-out density when the excitation energy is used as a variable insteading of temperature. Moreover, the different behavior of other physical observables with temper…
We present calculations of the chemical freeze-out temperature (T_ch) based on particle yields from STAR and ALICE measured at collision energies ranging from sqrt{s_{NN}} = 11.5 GeV to 5.02 TeV. Employing the Grand Canonical Ensemble approach using the Thermal-FIST Hadron Resonance Gas model package, we show evidence for a flavour-dependent chemical freeze-out in the crossover region of the QCD phase diagram. At a vanishing baryochemical potential, we calculate light and strange flavour freeze-out temperatures T_L = 150.2 +- 2.6 MeV and T_S = 165.1 +- 2.7 MeV, respectively.
We estimate chemical freeze-out parameters in HRG and EVHRG model by fitting the experimental information of net-proton and net-charge fluctuations measured in Au + Au collisions by the STAR collaboration at RHIC. We observe that chemical freeze-out parameters obtained from lower and higher order fluctuations are though almost same for $\sqrt{s_{NN}} > 27$ GeV, tend to deviate from each other at lower $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$. Moreover, these separations increase with decrease of $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ and for a fixed $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ increase towards central collisions. Furthermore, we observe an approximate …
We present the system size and flavour dependence of the chemical freeze-out temperature ($T_\mathrm{ch}$) at vanishing baryo-chemical potential calculated via thermal fits to experimental yields for several multiplicity classes in pp, pPb and PbPb collisions measured by ALICE. Using the Thermal-FIST Hadron Resonance Gas model package, we compare the quality of fits across various treatments of strangeness conservation under different freeze-out conditions as a function of the charged particle multiplicity density $\big \langle dN_\mathrm{ch}/dη\big \rangle$. Additionally, we examine how the a…
The collision system and multiplicity dependence of chemical freeze-out temperature ($T_{\rm ch}$) and strangeness saturation factor ($γ_{s}$) are obtained by studying the particle ratios at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies. Here, we consider the new results in pp at 13 TeV, p+Pb at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV, Xe+Xe at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.44 TeV and Pb+Pb at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV along with the earlier results in pp at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV and Pb+Pb at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV. A statistical thermal model is used to extract the chemical freeze-out parameters in dif…
We present a new approach to take into account resonance decays in the blast-wave model fits of identified hadron spectra. Thanks to pre-calculated decayed particle spectra, we are able to extract, in a matter of seconds, the multiplicity dependence of the single freeze-out temperature $T_{\rm fo}$, average fluid velocity $\left<β_{\rm T}\right>$, velocity exponent $n$, and the volume $dV/dy$ of an expanding fireball. In contrast to blast-wave fits without resonance feed-down, our approach results in a freeze-out temperature of $T_{\rm fo}\approx 150\,\text{MeV}$, which has only weak dependenc…
The event-shape and multiplicity dependence of the chemical freeze-out temperature ($T_{\text{ch}}$), freeze-out radius ($R$), and strangeness saturation factor ($γ_{s}$) are obtained by studying the particle yields from the PYTHIA8 Monte Carlo event generator in proton-proton (pp) collisions at the centre-of-mass $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV. Spherocity is one of the transverse event-shape techniques to distinguish jetty and isotropic events in high-energy collisions and helps in looking into various observables in a more differential manner. In this study, spherocity~classes are divided into three ca…
The transverse momentum (mass) spectra of the multi-strange and non-multi-strange (i.e. other identified) particles in central gold-gold (Au-Au), lead-lead (Pb-Pb), argon-muriate (Ar-KCl) and nickel-nickel (Ni-Ni) collisions over a wide energy range have been studied in this work. The experimental data measured by various collaborations have been analyzed. The blast-wave fit with Tsallis statistics is used to extract the kinetic freeze-out temperature and transverse flow velocity from the experimental data of transverse momentum (mass) spectra. The extracted parameters increase with the increa…
Many data in the High Energy Physics are, in fact, sample means. It is shown that when this exact meaning of the data is taken into account and the most weakly bound states are removed from the hadron resonance gas, the whole spectra of pions, kaons and protons measured at midrapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 2.76$ TeV can be fitted simultaneously. The invariant distributions are predicted with the help of the single-freeze-out model in the chemical equilibrium framework. The method is applied to the measurements in centrality bins of Pb-Pb collisions and gives acceptable fits f…
Analysis of cosmic microwave background radiation fluctuations favors an effective number of neutrinos, $N_ν>3$. This motivates a reinvestigation of the neutrino freeze-out process. Here we characterize the dependence of $N_ν$ on the Standard Model (SM) parameters that govern neutrino freeze-out. We show that $N_ν$ depends on a combination $η$ of several natural constants characterizing the relative strength of weak interaction processes in the early Universe and on the Weinberg angle $\sin^2θ_W$. We determine numerically the dependence $N_ν(η,\sin^2θ_W)$ and discuss these results. The extensi…
We will report centrality dependence of chemical freeze-out temperature ($T_{ch}$), light quark chemical potential ($μ_{q}$), strange quark chemical potential ($μ_{s}$), and strangeness saturation factor ($γ_{s}$) in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 130 and 200 GeV. A systematic study for combination of ratios for chemical freeze-out fit is studied and we have found small ombination dependences. The results show $γ_{s}$ increasing with centrality but the other parameters have less sensitivity to the centralities.
The transverse momentum spectra of identified particles at midrapidity in Pb + Pb collisions at Root(sNN) = 2.76 TeV have been studied as a function of collision centrality by using a unified statistical thermal freeze-out model. The calculated results are found to be in good agreement with the experimental data measured by the ALICE experiment at LHC. The model calculations provide the thermal freeze-out conditions in terms of the temperature and collective flow parameters for different particle species. We observe a rise in the thermal freeze-out temperature but a mild decrease in the collec…
We study the centrality dependence of the mid-rapidity (|y|<0.5) yield (dN/dy) and transverse momentum distributions of K*(892)0 and ϕ(1020) resonances produced in Pb+Pb collisions at root(sNN) = 2.76 TeV. The mid-rapidity density (dN/dy) and the shape of the transverse momentum spectra are well reproduced by our earlier proposed Unified Statistical Thermal Freeze-out Model (USTFM) which incorporates the effects of both longitudinal as well as transverse hydrodynamic flow. The freeze-out properties in terms of kinetic freeze-out temperature and transverse flow velocity parameter are extracted …
Centrality-dependent double-differential transverse momentum spectra of negatively charged particles ($π^-$, $K^-$ and $\bar p$) at mid-(pseudo)rapidity interval in nuclear collisions are analyzed by the standard distribution in terms of multi-component. The experimental data measured in gold-gold (Au-Au) collisions by the PHENIX Collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and in lead-lead (Pb-Pb) collisions by the ALICE Collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are studied. The effective temperature, initial temperature, kinetic freeze-out temperature, transverse flow v…
We extract the freezeout hypersurface in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=$ 2760 GeV at the CERN Large Hadron Collider by analysing the data on transverse momentum spectra within a unified model for chemical and kinetic freezeout. The study has been done within two different schemes of freezeout, single freezeout where all the hadrons freezeout together versus double freezeout where those hadrons with non-zero strangeness content have different freezeout parameters compared to the non-strange ones. We demonstrate that the data is better described within the latter scenario. We obtain a s…
We present an analysis of hadronic multiplicities measured in Pb-Pb collisions at \sqrt s_{NN} = 2.76 TeV as a function of the collision centrality within the statistical hadronization model. Evidence is found of a dependence of the chemical freeze-out temperature as a function of centrality, with a slow rise from central to peripheral collisions, which we interpret as an effect of post-hadronization inelastic scatterings. Using correction factors calculated by means of a simulation based on the UrQMD model, we are able to obtain a significant improvement in the statitical model fit quality an…
We have estimated centrality variation of chemical freeze-out parameters from yield data at mid-rapidity of $π^\pm$, $K^\pm$ and $p$, $\bar{p}$ for collision energies of RHIC (Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider), Beam Energy Scan (RHIC-BES) program, and LHC (Large Hadron Collider). We have considered a simple hadron resonance gas model and employed a formalism involving conserved charges ($B, Q, S$) of QCD for parameterization. Along with temperature and three chemical potentials ($T,μ_B,μ_Q,μ_S$), a strangeness under-saturation factor ($γ_S$) has been used to incorporate the partial equilibratio…
The excitation energy and the nuclear density at the time of breakup are extracted for the $α+ ^{197}Au$ reaction at beam energies of 1 and 3.6 GeV/nucleon. These quantities are calculated from the average relative velocity of intermediate mass fragments (IMF) at large correlation angles as a function of the multiplicity of IMFs using a statistical model coupled with many-body Coulomb trajectory calculations. The Coulomb component $\vec{v}_{c}$ and thermal component $\vec{v}_{0}$ are found to depend oppositely on the excitation energy, IMFs multiplicity, and freeze-out density. These dependenc…
The present knowledge about hadrons produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions is compatible with chemical freeze-out happening when the energy density divided by the particle density reaches the value of 1 GeV. This observation is used to determine the energy dependence of the chemical freeze-out parameters T_{ch} and mu_B^{ch} for beam energies varying between 1 and 200 A.GeV. The consequences of this energy dependence are studied for various particle ratios. Predictions for particle ratios at beam energy 40 A.GeV are presented. The conditions for thermal freeze-out are also determined. T…
In this paper we use methods developed in Part 1 of The Dipion Cocktail, to fit the $p_t$ dependence of dipions for mid-central Au-Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=200 GeV. For the minijet fragmentation part we use PYTHIA fragmentation as described in Part 1. For the thermal resonance production we use an exponential growth behavior. The interference between the direct production of dipion pairs from non-resonance minijet fragmentation and re-scattering through resonance states gives a measure of the size of the re-scattering region. This size is contain in the $α$ parameter of Part1. We assum…
We investigate the effect of early chemical freeze-out on radial and elliptic flow by using a fully three dimensional hydrodynamic model. We find that the time evolution of temperature and the thermal freeze-out temperature dependence of average radial flow are different from the results by using a conventional hydrodynamic model in which chemical equilibrium is always assumed. We also analyse the p_t spectrum and v_2(p_t) at the RHIC energy and consistently reproduce experimental data by choosing the thermal freeze-out temperature T_th = 140 MeV.
Hanburry-Brown-Twiss (HBT) correlation functions and radii of negatively charged pions from C+C, Si+Si, Cu+Cu, and In+In at lower RHIC/SPS energies are calculated with the UrQMD transport model and the CRAB analyzing program. We find a minimum in the excitation function of the pion freeze-out volume at low transverse momenta and around $E_{lab}\sim 20-30A$GeV which can be related to the transition from hadronic to string matter (which might be interpreted as a pre-cursor of the QGP). The existence of the minimum is explained by the competition of two mechanisms of the particle production, reso…
The transverse momentum spectra of final-state light flavor particles produced in proton-proton (p-p), copper-copper (Cu-Cu), gold-gold (Au-Au), lead-lead (Pb-Pb), and proton-lead (p-Pb) collisions for different centralities at relativistic heavy ion collider (RHIC) and large hadron collider (LHC) energies are studied in the framework of a multisource thermal model. The experimental data measured by the STAR, CMS, and ALICE Collaborations are consistent with the results calculated by the multi-component Erlang distribution and Tsallis Statistics. The effective temperature and real temperature …
Centrality-dependent double-differential transverse momentum spectra of charged pions, kaons, and (anti)protons produced in mid-pseudorapidity interval in $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV gold-gold and deuteron-gold collisions with different centralities are analyzed by the blast-wave model with Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics. Meanwhile, the mentioned spectra in mid-rapidity interval in $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=2.76$ TeV lead-lead and $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02$ TeV proton-lead collisions with different centralities are analyzed by the same model. The model results are approximately in agreement with the experimental data …
Driven by the Beam Energy Scan (BES) program at the RHIC, researches and discussions on the QCD phase diagram have flourished recently. In order to provide a reference from microscopic transport models, we performed a systematic analysis, using a multiphase transport (AMPT) model for the particle yields and a statistical model (THERMUS) for the thermal fit, for Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\text{NN}}}$=7.7-200 GeV. It is found that at a fixed collision centrality the chemical freeze-out parameter, temperature $T_{\text{ch}}$, increases with collision energy and somehow saturates at certain va…
We introduce a novel approach based on elastic and inelastic scattering rates to extract the hyper-surface of the chemical freeze-out from a hadronic transport model in the energy range from E$_\mathrm{lab}=1.23$ AGeV to $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}=62.4$ GeV. For this study, the Ultra-relativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics (UrQMD) model combined with a coarse-graining method is employed. The chemical freeze-out distribution is reconstructed from the pions through several decay and re-formation chains involving resonances and taking into account inelastic, pseudo-elastic and string excitation reacti…
The transverse momentum distributions of the identified particles produced in small collision systems at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and Large Hadron Collider (LHC) have been analyzed by four models. The first two models utilize the blast-wave model with different statistics. The last two models employ certain linear correspondences based on different distributions. The four models describe the experimental data measured by the Pioneering High Energy Nuclear Interaction eXperiment (PHENIX), Solenoidal Tracker at RHIC (STAR), and A Large Ion Collider Experiment (ALICE) cCollabora…
We investigate the form of the viscous correction to the equilibrium distribution function in the context of a Cooper-Frye freeze out prescription for viscous hydrodynamic simulations of relativistic heavy ion collisions. The standard quadratic ansatz used by all groups for the case of shear viscosity is found to be disfavored by experimental data for v4/(v2)^2 at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, and is unlikely to be correct for the hadron resonance gas present at freeze out. Instead, data for v2(pt) along with v4/(v2)^2 favor a momentum dependence between linear and quadratic.
We discuss the $\sqrt{s}$-dependence of the $K^+/π^+$ ratio in heavy-ion collisions (the "horn" effect) within a Mott-Anderson localization model for chemical freeze-out. The different response of pion and kaon radii to the hot and dense hadronic medium results in different freeze-out conditions. We demonstrate within a simple model that this circumstance enhances the "horn" effect relative to statistical models with universal chemical freeze-out.
By analyzing the calculated baryon number susceptibility ratios ${χ_{1}^{B}}/{χ_{2}^{B}}$ and ${χ_{3}^{B}}/{χ_{1}^{B}}$ in two-flavor system via the Dyson-Schwinger equation approach of QCD, we determine the chemical freeze-out temperature and baryon chemical potential in cases of both thermodynamic limit and finite size. We calculate the center-of-mass energy dependence of the ${χ_{4}^{B}}/{χ_{2}^{B}}\, (κσ^{2})$ at the freeze-out line and find an excellent agreement with experimental data in $\sqrt{S_{NN}^{}} \geq 19.6\,$GeV region when taking into account the finite size effect. Our calcula…
We consider a chemical freeze-out mechanism which is based on a strong medium dependence of the rates for inelastic flavor-equilibrating collisions based on the delocalization of hadronic wave functions and growing hadronic radii when approaching the chiral restoration. We investigate the role of mesonic (pion) and baryonic (nucleon) fluctuations for melting the chiral condensate in the phase diagram in the (T,mu)-plane. We apply the PNJL model beyond mean-field and present an effective generalization of the chiral perturbation theory result which accounts for the medium dependence of the pion…
We investigate the collision energy dependence of deuteron and antideuteron emission in the RHIC-BES low- to mid-energy range $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 4.6-200$ GeV where the formation rate of antinuclei compared to nuclei is strongly suppressed. In the coalescence picture, this can be understood as bulk emission for nuclei in contrast to surface emission for antinuclei. By comparison with experimental data on the coalescence parameter $B_2$, we are able to extract the respective source geometries. This interpretation is further supported by results from the UrQMD transport model, and establishes the f…
Transverse momentum (mass) spectra of positively and negatively charged pions, positively and negatively charged kaons, protons and antiprotons produced at mid-(pseudo)rapidity in various collisions at high energies are analyzed in this work. The experimental data measured in central gold-gold, central lead-lead, and inelastic proton-proton collisions by several international collaborations are studied. The (two-component) standard distribution is used to fit the data and extract the excitation function of effective temperature. Then, the excitation functions of kinetic freeze-out temperature,…
We review J. Zimanyi's key contributions to the theoretical understanding of dynamical freeze-out in nuclear collisions and their subsequent applications to ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions, leading to the discovery of a freeze-out hierarchy where chemical freeze-out of hadron yields precedes the thermal decoupling of their momentum spectra. Following Zimanyi's lines of reasoning we show that kinetic freeze-out necessarily leads to a dependence of the corresponding freeze-out temperature on collision centrality. This centrality dependence can be predicted within hydrodynamic models, and…
The excitation function of freeze-out time, average freeze-out temperature and freeze-out energy density of (multi-) strange baryons created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions is investigated in the framework of a microscopic transport model. We find that the Omega on average freezes out earlier than the nucleon, Xi and Lambda. The average freeze-out temperature and energy density as well as the spread between the different baryonicstates increase monotonously with increasing beam energy and should approach a universal value in the case of a hadronizing Quark-Gluon-Plasma.
The centrality dependence of the $p/π$ ratio measured by the ALICE Collaboration in 5.02 TeV Pb-Pb collisions indicates a statistically significant suppression with the increase of the charged particle multiplicity once the centrality-correlated part of the systematic uncertainty is eliminated from the data. We argue that this behavior can be attributed to baryon annihilation in the hadronic phase. By implementing the $B\bar{B} \leftrightarrow 5π$ reaction within a generalized partial chemical equilibrium framework, we estimate the annihilation freeze-out temperature at different centralities,…
We study the identified particle ratios produced at mid-rapidity in heavy ion collisions, along with their correlations with the collision energy. We employ our earlier proposed Unified Statistical Thermal Freeze-out Model (USTFM), which incorporates the effects of both longitudinal as well as transverse hydrodynamic flow in the hot hadronic system. A fair agreement seen between the experimental data and our model results confirms that the particle production in these collisions is of statistical nature. The variation of the chemical freeze-out temperature and the baryon chemical potential wit…
The experimental data from the RHIC and LHC experiments of invariant pT spectra in A+A and p + p collisions are analysed with Tsallis distributions in different approaches. The information about the freeze-out surface in terms of freeze-out volume, temperature, chemical potential and radial flow velocity for different particle species are obtained. Further, these parameters are studied as a function of the mass of the secondary particles. A mass-dependent differential freeze-out is observed which does not seem to distinguish between particles and their antiparticles. Further a mass-hierarchy i…
The transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) spectra in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV, measured by the ALICE experiment at the LHC are analyzed with a thermodynamically consistent Tsallis distribution. The information about the freeze-out surface in terms of freeze-out volume, temperature and the non-extenisivity parameter, $q$, for $K^{0}_{S}$, $Λ+\barΛ$, $Ξ^{-}+\barΞ^{+}$ and $Ω^{-}+\barΩ^{+}$ are extracted by fitting the $p_{\rm T}$ spectra with Tsallis distribution function. The freeze-out parameters of these particles are studied as a function of charged particle multiplicity de…
Thermodynamic Analysis of Transverse Momentum Spectra in Pb-Pb Collisions at 2.76 TeV: Centrality Dependence of Temperature, Freezeout Parameters and Non-Extensitivity
Break-up fragmentation patterns together with kinetic and configurational energy fluctuations are investigated in the framework of a microcanonical model with fragment degrees of freedom over a broad excitation energy range. As far as fragment partitioning is approximately preserved, energy fluctuations are found to be rather insensitive to both the way in which the freeze-out volume is constrained and the trajectory followed by the system in the excitation energy - freeze-out volume space. Due to hard-core repulsion, the freeze-out volume is found to be populated un-uniformly, its highly depl…
The recently discovered sharp peak in the excitation function of the K+/pi+ ratio around 30 A GeV in relativistic heavy-ion collisions is discussed in the framework of the Statistical Model. In this model, the freeze-out of an ideal hadron gas changes from a situation where baryons dominate to one with mainly mesons. This transition occurs at a temperature T = 140 MeV and baryon chemical potential mu(B) = 410 MeV corresponding to an energy of sqrt(s) = 8.2 GeV. The calculated maximum in the K+/pi+ ratio is, however, much less pronounced than the one observed by the NA49 Collaboration. The smoo…
The transverse momentum spectra of charged pions, kaons, and protons produced at mid-rapidity in central nucleus-nucleus (AA) collisions at high energies are analyzed by considering particles to be created from two participant partons which are assumed to be contributors from the collision system. Each participant (contributor) parton is assumed to contribute to the transverse momentum by a Tsallis-like function. The contributions of the two participant partons are regarded as the two components of transverse momentum of the identified particle. The experimental data measured in high-energy AA…
Bose-Einstein correlations in relativistic heavy ion collisions and their dependence on the freeze-out condition in hydrodynamic models is compared to time-like freeze-out, where particles are emitted away only from the surface, i.e. space- vs. time-like freeze-out. The corresponding HBT radii are calculated for the two models emphasizing the difference in the outward HBT radius.
In this proceeding, we summarize the main results of our recent paper, which introduces a freeze-out scheme to the dynamical models near the QCD critical point. Within such framework of static critical fluctuations, the Beam Energy Scan (BES) data of $C_4$ and $κσ^2$ for net protons within different $p_T$ ranges can be roughly described. Besides, the momentum acceptance dependence of higher cumulants at lower collision energies can also be qualitatively described. However, $C_2$ and $C_3$ are always over-predicted due to the positive static critical fluctuations.
Transverse momentum spectra of negative and positive pions produced at mid-(pseudo)rapidity in inelastic or non-single-diffractive proton-proton collisions over a center-of-mass energy, $\sqrt{s}$, range from a few GeV to above 10 TeV are analyzed by the blast-wave fit with Boltzmann (Tsallis) distribution. The blast-wave fit results are well fitting to the experimental data measured by several collaborations. In a particular superposition with Hagedorn function, both the excitation functions of kinetic freeze-out temperature ($T_0$) of emission source and transverse flow velocity ($β_T$) of p…
A QCD phase transition may reflect in a inhomogeneous decoupling surface of hadrons produced in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. We show that due to the non-linear dependence of the particle densities on the temperature and baryon-chemical potential such inhomogeneities should be visible even in the integrated, inclusive abundances. We analyze experimental data from Pb+Pb collisions at CERN-SPS and Au+Au collisions at BNL-RHIC to determine the amplitude of inhomogeneities.
The transverse momentum spectra of different types of particles produced in central and peripheral gold-gold (Au-Au) and (inelastic) proton-proton ($pp$) collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), as well as in central and peripheral lead-lead (Pb-Pb) and $pp$ collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are analyzed by the standard distribution in terms of multi-component. The obtained results from the standard distribution give an approximate agreement with the measured experimental data by the STAR, PHENIX and ALICE Collaborations. The methodical behavior of the effective (k…
We analyze the transverse momentum ($p_T$) spectra, $1/N_{ev}$[(1/2$π$$p_T$) $d^2$$N$/$dyd$$p_T$], of kaon, proton, deuteron and triton in different centrality events in gold-gold (Au-Au) collisions at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions (RHIC) by Hagedorn thermal model and extracted the excitation function of effective temperature, kinetic freeze-out volume, initial temperature and kinetic freeze-out temperature. We perceived that the effective temperature, initial temperature and kinetic freeze-out temperature sharply increases from 7.7 GeV to 14.5 GeV and then remain static from 14.5-39 GeV, …
A method to determine the kinetic freeze-out temperature in heavy-ion collisions from measured yields of short-lived resonances is presented. The resonance production is treated in the framework of thermal model with an evolution between chemical and kinetic freeze-outs. The yields of many short-lived resonances are suppressed at $T = T_{\rm kin} < T_{\rm ch}$. We determine the values of $T_{\rm kin}$ and $T_{\rm ch}$ for various centralities in Pb--Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{NN}}} = 2.76$ TeV by fitting the abundances of both the stable hadrons and the short-lived resonances such as $ρ^0$ a…
The freeze out of the expanding systems, created in relativistic heavy ion collisions, is discussed. We combine Bjorken scenario with earlier developed freeze out equations into a unified model. The important feature of the proposed model is that physical freeze out is completely finished in a finite time, which can be varied from 0 (freeze out hypersurface) to infinity. The dependence of the post freeze out distribution function on this freeze out time will be studied. As an example model is completely solved and analyzed for the gas of pions.
In the present work, we study the recent collision energy and multiplicity dependence of the charged particle transverse momentum spectra as measured by the ALICE collaboration in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 5.02 and 13 TeV using the non-extensive Tsallis distribution and the Boltzmann-Gibbs Blast Wave (BGBW) model. A thermodynamically consistent form of the Tsallis distribution is used to extract the kinetic freeze-out parameters from the transverse momentum spectra of charged particles at mid-rapidity. In addition, a comprehensive study of fitting range dependence of transverse momentum …
Recent observations of QGP-like conditions in high-multiplicity pp collisions from ALICE experiment at the LHC warrants an introspection whether to use pp collisions as a baseline measurement to characterize heavy-ion collisions for possible formation of a Quark-Gluon Plasma. A double differential study of the particle spectra and thermodynamics of the produced system as a function of charged-particle multiplicity and transverse spherocity in pp collisions would shed light into the underlying event dynamics. Transverse spherocity, one of the event shape observables, allows to separate the even…
The chemical freeze-out parameters in central nucleus-nucleus collisions are extracted consistently from hadron yield data within the quantum van der Waals (QvdW) hadron resonance gas model. The beam energy dependences for skewness and kurtosis of net baryon, net electric, and net strangeness charges are predicted. The QvdW interactions in asymmetric matter, $Q/B \neq 0.5$, between (anti)baryons yield a non-congruent liquid-gas phase transition, together with a nuclear critical point (CP) with critical temperature of $T_c=19.5$ MeV. The nuclear CP yields the collision energy dependence of the …
The freeze out of particles from a layer of finite thickness is discussed in a phenomenological kinetic model. The proposed model, based on the Modified Boltzman Transport Equation, is Lorentz invariant and can be applied equally well for the freeze out layers with space-like and time-like normal vectors. It leads to non-equilibrated post freeze out distributions. The dependence of the resulting distribution on the thickness of the layer is presented and discussed for a space-like freeze out scenario.
We study as function of energy strangeness created in relativistic heavy ion collisions. We consider statistical hadronization with chemical freeze-out in both equilibrium and nonequilibrium. We obtain strangeness per baryon and per entropy in the energy range $8.75\lessim\sqrt{s_{NN}}\lessim 200 A$ GeV. A baryon density independent evaluation of the kaon to pion ratio is presented.
Transverse momentum spectra of different particles produced in mid-rapidity interval in lead-lead (Pb-Pb) collisions with different centrality intervals, measured by the ALICE Collaboration at center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=2.76$ TeV, are conformably and approximately described by the Tsallis distribution. The dependences of parameters (effective temperature, entropy index, and normalization factor) on event centrality and particle rest mass are obtained. The source temperature at the kinetic freeze-out is obtained to be the intercept in the linear relation between effec…
