This paper deals with an extension of our previous work [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. {\bf 40} F817] by considering an alternative construction of canonical and deformed vector coherent states (VCSs) of the Gazeau-Klauder type associated with generalized spin-orbit Hamiltonians. We define an annihilation operator which takes into account the finite dimensional space of states induced by the $k$-photon transition processes of the two-level atom interacting with the single-mode radiation field. The class of nonlinear VCSs (NVCSs) corresponding to the action of the annihilation operator is deduced and expressed in terms of generalized displacement operators. Various NVCSs including their "dual" counterparts are also discussed. Still by using the Hilbert space structure, a new family of NVCSs parameterized by unit vectors of the $S^3$ sphere has been identified without making use of the annihilation operator.
The first part of this work deals with a formalism of vector coherent states construction for a system of $M$ Fermi-type modes associated with $N$ bosonic modes. Then follows a generalization to a Hamiltonian describing the translational motion of the center of mass of a nanoparticle. The latter gives rise to a new mechanism for the electronic energy relaxation in nanocrystals, intensively studied today in condensed matter physics. Finite degeneracies of the involved Hamiltonian systems are also investigated. The defined vector coherent states satisfy relevant mathematical properties of contin…
This work mainly addresses a construction of Gazeau-Klauder type coherent states for a Pöschl-Teller model. Relevant characteristics are investigated. Induced geometry and statistics are studied. Then the Berezin - Klauder - Toeplitz quantization of the classical phase space observables is presented.
It has been shown that a positive semi-definite Hamiltonian H, that has a tridiagonal matrix representation in a given basis, can be represented in the form H = A†A, where A is a forward shift operator playing the role of an annihilation operator. Such representation endows H with rich supersymmetric properties yielding results analogous to those obtained by studying the Hamiltonian as a differential operator. Here, we study the coherent states which we define as being the eigenstates of the operator A. We explicitly find the expansion coefficients of these states in the given basis. We furthe…
A class of generalized coherent states with a new type of the identity resolution are constructed by replacing the labeling parameter zn/n! of the canonical coherent states by Meixner-Pollaczek polynomials with specific parameters. The constructed coherent states belong to the state Hilbert space of the Gol'dman-Krivchenkov Hamiltonian.
By means of the unitary transformation, a new way for discussing the ordering prescription of Schrodinger equation with a position-dependent mass (PDM) for isospectral Hamiltonian operators is presented. We show that the ambiguity parameter choices in the kinetic part of the Hamiltonian can be explained through an exact SUSY symmetry as well as a consequence of an accidental symmetry under the Z2 action. By making use of the unitary transformation, we construct coherent states for a family of PDM isospectral Hamiltonians from a suitable choice of ladder operators. We show that these states pre…
Coherent subspaces spanned by a finite number of coherent states are introduced, in a quantum system with Hilbert space that has odd prime dimension $d$. The set of all coherent subspaces is partitioned into equivalence classes, with $d^2$ subspaces in each class. The corresponding coherent projectors within an equivalence class, have the `closure under displacements property' and also resolve the identity. Different equivalence classes provide different granularisation of the Hilbert space, and they form a partial order `coarser' (and `finer'). In the case of a two-dimensional coherent subspac…
We describe a method for constructing vector coherent states for quantum supersymmetric partner Hamiltonians. The method is then applied to such partner Hamiltonians arising from a generalization of the fractional quantum Hall effect. Explicit examples are worked out.
The complex geometry underlying the Schrödinger dynamics of coherent states for non-Hermitian Hamiltonians is investigated. In particular two seemingly contradictory approaches are compared: (i) a complex WKB formalism, for which the centres of coherent states naturally evolve along complex trajectories, which leads to a class of complexified coherent states; (ii) the investigation of the dynamical equations for the real expectation values of position and momentum, for which an Ehrenfest theorem has been derived in a previous paper, yielding real but non-Hamiltonian classical dynamics on phase…
We propose an extended version of supersymmetric quantum mechanics which can be useful if the Hamiltonian of the physical system under investigation is not Hermitian. The method is based on the use of two, in general different, superpotentials. Bi-coherent states of the Gazeau-Klauder type are constructed and their properties are analyzed. Some examples are also discussed, including an application to the Black-Scholes equation, one of the most important equations in Finance.
States which minimize the Schrödinger--Robertson uncertainty relation are constructed as eigenstates of an operator which is a element of the $h(1) \oplus \su(2)$ algebra. The relations with supercoherent and supersqueezed states of the supersymmetric harmonic oscillator are given. Moreover, we are able to compute gneneral Hamiltonians which behave like the harmonic oscillator Hamiltonian or are related to the Jaynes--Cummings Hamiltonian.
We propose an extension of {\em supersymmetric quantum mechanics} which produces a family of isospectral hamiltonians. Our procedure slightly extends the idea of intertwining operators. Several examples of the construction are given. Further, we show how to build up vector coherent states of the Gazeau-Klauder type associated to our hamiltonians.
While dealing with a Hamiltonian with continuous spectrum we use a tridiagonal method involving orthogonal polynomials to construct a set of coherent states obeying a Glauber-type condition. We perform a Bayesian decomposition of the weight function of the orthogonality measure to show that the obtained coherent states can be recast in the Gazeau-Klauder approach. The Hamiltonian of the $\ell$-wave free particle is treated as an example to illustrate the method.
In this paper we discuss a general strategy to construct vector coherent states of the Gazeau-Klauder type and we use them to built up examples of isospectral hamiltonians. For that we use a general strategy recently proposed by the author and which extends well known facts on intertwining operators. We also discuss the possibility of constructing non-isospectral hamiltonians with related eigenstates.
Eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of the free magnetic Schrödinger operator, describing a spinless particle confined to an infinite layer of fixed width, are discussed in detail. The eigenfunctions are realized as an orthonormal basis of a suitable Hilbert space. Four different classes of temporally stable coherent states associated to the operator are presented. The first two classes are derived as coherent states with one degree of freedom and the last two classes are derived with two degrees of freedom. The dynamical algebra of each class is found. Statistical quantities associated to each cla…
In the spirit of some earlier work on the construction of vector coherent states over matrix domains, we compute here such states associated to some physical Hamiltonians. In particular, we construct vector coherent states of the Gazeau-Klauder type. As a related problem, we also suggest a way to handle degeneracies in the Hamiltonian for building coherent states. Specific physical Hamiltonians studied include a single photon mode interacting with a pair of fermions, a Hamiltonian involving a single boson and a single fermion, a charged particle in a three dimensional harmonic force field and …
A class of vector coherent states is derived with multiple of matrices as vectors in a Hilbert space, where the Hilbert space is taken to be the tensor product of several other Hilbert spaces. As examples vector coherent states with multiple of quaternions and octonions are given. The resulting generalized oscillator algebra is briefly discussed. Further, vector coherent states for a tensored Hamiltonian system are obtained by the same method. As particular cases, coherent states are obtained for tensored Jaynes-Cummings type Hamiltonians and for a two-level two-mode generalization of the Jayn…
Representations of coherent state Lie algebras on coherent state manifolds as first order differential operators are presented. The explicit expressions of the differential action of the generators of semisimple Lie groups determine for linear Hamiltonians in the generators of the groups first order differential equations of motion with holomorphic polynomials coefficients. For hermitian symmetric manifolds the equations of motion are matrix Riccati equations. It is presented the simplest example of the non-symmetric space $SU(3)/S(U(1)\times U(1)\times U(1))$ where the polynomials describing …
We propose a differential representation for the operators satisfying the q-mutation relation $BB^\dagger-q B^\dagger B=\1$ which generalizes a recent result by Eremin and Meldianov, and we discuss in detail this choice in the limit $q\to1$. Further, we build up non-linear and Gazeau-Klauder coherent states associated to the free quonic hamiltonian $h_1=B^\dagger B$. Finally we construct almost isospectrals quonic hamiltonians adopting the results on intertwining operators recently proposed by the author.
This work prolongs recent investigations by Bergeron et al [see 2012 J. Phys. A: Math. Theo. 45 244028] on new SUSYQM coherent states for Pöschl-Teller potentials. It mainly addresses explicit computations of eigenfunctions and spectrum associated to the higher order hierarchic supersymmetric Hamiltonian. Analysis of relevant properties and normal and anti-normal forms is performed and discussed. Coherent states of the hierarchic first order differential operator $A_{m,ν,β}$ of the Pöschl-Teller Hamiltonian $H_{ν,β}^{(m)}$ and their characteristics are studied.
The canonical coherent states are expressed as infinite series in powers of a complex number $z$ in their infinite series version. In this article we present classes of coherent states by replacing this complex number $z$ by other choices, namely, iterates of a complex function, higher functions and elementary functions. Further, we show that some of these classes do not furnish generalized oscillator algebras in the natural way. A reproducing kernel Hilbert space is discussed to each class of coherent states.
The coherent states for a set of quadratic Hamiltonians in the trap regime are constructed. A matrix technique which allows to identify directly the creation and annihilation operators will be presented. Then, the coherent states as simultaneous eigenstates of the annihilation operators will be derived, and they are going to be compared with those attained through the displacement operator method. The corresponding wave function will be found, and a general procedure for obtaining several expected values involving the canonical operators in these states will be described. The results will be i…
We study, using Hepp's method, the propagation of coherent states for a general class of self interacting bosonic quantum field theories with spatial cutoffs. This includes models with non-polynomial interactions in the field variables. We show indeed that the time evolution of coherent states, in the classical limit, is well approximated by time-dependent affine Bogoliubov unitary transformations. Our analysis relies on a non-polynomial Wick quantization and a specific hypercontractive estimate.
Vector coherent states (VCS) viewed as a generalization of ordinary coherent states for higher rank tensor Hilbert spaces are investigated. We consider a systematic way of generating classes of VCS which are solvable (i.e., in the present context, normalizable states satisfying a resolution of the identity) on the Hilbert space of 2D and 3D harmonic oscillators. Thanks to the type of construction, these VCS are classified according to specific criteria. Furthermore, in many cases, the found classes of VCS are continuously deformable one onto another, still remaining solvable.
We study the total (dynamical plus geometrical (Berry)) phase of cyclic quantum motion for coherent states over homogeneous Kähler manifolds X=G/H, which can be considered as the phase spaces of classical systems and which are, in particular cases, coadjoint orbits of some Lie groups G. When the Hamiltonian is linear in the generators of a Lie group, both phases can be calculated exactly in terms of {\em classical} objects. In particular, the geometric phase is given by the symplectic area enclosed by the (purely classical) motion in the space of coherent states.
In the context of the factorization method, we investigate the pseudo- Hermitian coherent states and its Hermitian counterpart coherent states under the generalized quantum condition in the framework of a position-dependent mass. By considering a specific modification in the superpotential, a suitable annihilation and creation operators are constructed in order to reproduce the Hermitian counterpart Hamiltonian in the factorized form. We show that by means of these ladder operators we can construct a wide kind of exactly solvable potentials as well as their accompanying coherent states. Altern…
The affine coherent states quantization is a promising integral quantization of Hamiltonian systems when the phase space includes at least one conjugate pair of variables which takes values from a half-plane. Such a situation is common for gravitational systems which include singularities. The construction of the quantization map includes a one-to-one mapping of the half-plane onto the affine group. Particular cases of this mapping define specific parametrizations of the group. Our aim is showing that different such parametrizations lead to unitarily inequivalent quantum theories. Depending on…
Classes of coherent states are presented by replacing the labeling parameter $z$ of Klauder-Perelomov type coherent states by confluent hypergeometric functions with specific parameters. Temporally stable coherent states for the isotonic oscillator Hamiltonian are presented and these states are identified as a particular case of the so-called Mittag-Leffler coherent states.
We review some basic elements on k-fermions, which are objects interpolating between bosons and fermions. In particular, we define k-fermionic coherent states and study some of their properties. The decomposition of a Q-uon into a boson and a k-fermion leads to a definition of fractional supercoherent states. Such states involve bosonic coherent states and k-fermionic coherent states. We construct an Hamiltonian which generalizes the ordinary (or Z_2-graded) supersymmetric oscillator Hamiltonian. Our Hamiltonian describes a fractional (or Z_k-graded) supersymmetric oscillator for which the fra…
The Hamiltonian analysis for the Euler and Second-Chern classes is performed. We show that, in spite of the fact that the Second-Chern and Euler invariants give rise to the same equations of motion, their corresponding symplectic structures on the phase space are different, therefore, one can expect different quantum formulations. In addition, the symmetries of actions written as a BF-like theory that lead to Yang-Mills equations of motion are studied. A close relationship with the results obtained in previous works for the Second-Chern and Euler classes is found.
Based on the Gaussian wave packet solution for the harmonic oscillator and the corresponding creation and annihilation operators, a generalization is presented that also applies for wave packets with time-dependent width as they occur for systems with different initial conditions, time-dependent frequency or in contact with a dissipative environment. In all these cases the corresponding coherent states, position and momentum uncertainties and quantum mechanical energy contributions can be obtained in the same form if the creation and annihilation operators are expressed in terms of a complex v…
A simple way to find solutions of the Painlevé IV equation is by identifying Hamiltonian systems with third-order differential ladder operators. Some of these systems can be obtained by applying supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSY QM) to the harmonic oscillator. In this work, we will construct families of coherent states for such subset of SUSY partner Hamiltonians which are connected with the Painlevé IV equation. First, these coherent states are built up as eigenstates of the annihilation operator, then as displaced versions of the extremal states, both involving the third-order ladder op…
Spectral properties of the Hamiltonian function which characterizes a trapped ion are investigated. In order to study semiclassical dynamics of trapped ions, coherent state orbits are introduced as sub-manifolds of the quantum state space, with the Kähler structure induced by the transition probability. The time dependent variational principle (TDVP) is applied on coherent states' orbits. The Hamilton equations of motion on Kähler manifolds of the type of classical phase spaces naturally arise. The associated classical Hamiltonian is obtained from the expected values on symplectic coherent sta…
In this work, we derived a semiclassical approximation for the matrix elements of a quantum propagator in coherent states (CS) basis that avoids complex trajectories, it only involves real ones. For that propose, we used the, symplectically invariant, semiclassical Weyl propagator obtained by performing a stationary phase approximation (SPA) for the path integral in the Weyl representation. After what, for the transformation to CS representation SPA is avoided, instead a quadratic expansion of the complex exponent is used. This procedure also allows to express the semiclassical CS propagator u…

The Legendre transform expresses dynamics of a classical system through first-order Hamiltonian equations. We consider coherent state transforms with a similar effect in quantum mechanics: they reduce certain quantum Hamiltonians to first-order partial differential operators. Therefore, the respective dynamics can be explicitly solved through a flow of points in extensions of the phase space. This generalises the geometric dynamics of a harmonic oscillator in the Fock space. We describe all Hamiltonians which are geometrised (in the above sense) by Gaussian and Airy beams and write down explic…
In this paper, we study the analytic continuation to complex time of the Hamiltonian flow of certain $G\times T$-invariant functions on the cotangent bundle of a compact connected Lie group $G$ with maximal torus $T$. Namely, we will take the Hamiltonian flows of one $G\times G$-invariant function, $h$, and one $G\times T$-invariant function, $f$. Acting with these complex time Hamiltonian flows on $G\times G$-invariant Kähler structures gives new $G\times T$-invariant, but not $G\times G$-invariant, Kähler structures on $T^*G$. We study the Hilbert spaces ${\mathcal H}_{τ,σ}$ corresponding to…
We present a computation of the coherent state path integral for a generic linear system using ``functional methods'' (as opposed to discrete time approaches). The Gaussian phase space path integral is formally given by a determinant built from a first-order differential operator with coherent state boundary conditions. We show how this determinant can be expressed in terms of the symplectic transformation generated by the (in general, time-dependent) quadratic Hamiltonian for the system. We briefly discuss the conditions under which the coherent state path integral for a linear system actuall…
We study a family of fermionic extensions of the Camassa-Holm equation. Within this family we identify three interesting classes: (a) equations, which are inherently hamiltonian, describing geodesic flow with respect to an H^1 metric on the group of superconformal transformations in two dimensions, (b) equations which are hamiltonian with respect to a different hamiltonian structure and (c) supersymmetric flow equations. Classes (a) and (b) have no intersection, but the intersection of classes (a) and (c) gives a candidate for a new supersymmetric integrable system. We demonstrate the Painlevé…
Two long-standing problems in the construction of coherent state path integrals, the unwarranted assumption of path continuity and the ambiguous definition of the Hamiltonian symbol, are rigorously solved. To this end the fully controlled dual representation familiar from lattice quantum field theories is introduced. Dualization allows for both the step-by-step check in the construction of discrete path integrals and for the identification of the Hamiltonian and Berry phase part of the action, thus making both discrete and continuous path integrals consistently defined. Once the correct action…
