Thermodynamics of the (2+1)-dimensional Black Hole with non linear Electrodynamics and without Cosmological Constant from the Generalized Uncertainly Principle
In this paper, we study the thermodynamical properties of the (2+1)dimensional black hole with a non-linear electrodynamics and without cosmological constant using the Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP). This approach shows that there is a maximum temperature for the black hole depending only on the electric charge and corresponding to the minimum radius of the event horizon, of the order of the Planck scale. Finally we show that the heat capacity for this black hole has the expected behavior.
Comment on "Regular magnetically charged black holes from nonlinear electrodynamics: Thermodynamics, light deflection, and orbital dynamics" by Aydiner, Sucu and Sakalli
In this paper we have studied electrically charged black holes in a new model of nonlinear electrodynamics introduced by Kruglov in Ref. [1]. There are two parameters for the theory and the black hole could have up to two horizons. Thermodynamics is studied in the extended phase space where the pressure is proportional to the cosmological constant. First law and the Smarr formula are derived. There are phase transitions similar to the Van der Waals liquid-gas phase transitions. Black hole is also studied as a heat engine and have discussed how the parameters in the nonlinear electrodynamics th…
In this paper, we present the analytic solution for Anti-de Sitter-Nonlinear electrodynamics (AdS-NED) black hole in four dimensions. We study tunneling of vector particles from the AdS-NED black hole to find Hawking temperature as well as its thermodynamical properties in usual and extended phase space. Then we explore the properties of pressure-volume criticality by analyzing the phase diagram and its free energy. Finally, we investigate the Joule-Thomson coefficient, in which the inversion curve of warming and cooling are studied, and the ratio between the inverse temperature and critical t…
This paper investigates thermodynamics, quasi-normal modes, thermal fluctuations and phase transitions of Reissner-Nordström black hole with the effects of non-linear electrodynamics. We first compute the expressions for Hawking temperature, entropy and heat capacity of this black hole and then obtain a relation between Davies's point and quasi-normal modes with non-linear electrodynamics. We also observe the effects of logarithmic corrections on uncorrected thermodynamic quantities such as entropy, Hawking temperature, Helmholtz free energy, internal energy, Gibbs free energy, enthalpy and he…
This work examines the magnetized black holes of Lovelock gravity in the presence of double-logarithmic electrodynamics. In this context, the Lovelock polynomial is found and the accompanying thermodynamic quantities, such as mass, entropy, Hawking temperature, and heat capacity are determined. This new model of nonlinear electrodynamics is used to calculate the black hole solutions of Einstein, Gauss-Bonnet and third order Lovelock gravities as well. The impacts of the double-logarithmic electromagnetic field on the black hole thermodynamics in these particular theories are examined and the r…
We investigate $4D$ Einstein-Gauss-bonnet gravity coupled to exponential electrodynamics in AdS background and found a static, spherically symmetric exact black hole solution. The horizon structure of black hole is discussed. Treating the cosmological constant as pressure, we drive first law of black hole thermodynamics in extended phase space. We compute the electrostatic potential and vacuum polarization of the black hole. To study local thermodynamical stability specific heat of the black hole is computed. Finally, we study Helmholtz free energy to analyse the global stability of black hole…
Super-entropic black holes possess finite-area but noncompact event horizons and violate the reverse isoperimetric inequality. It has been conjectured that such black holes always have negative specific heat at constant volume $C_{V}$ or negative specific heat at constant pressure $C_{P}$ whenever $C_{V}>0$, making them unstable in extended thermodynamics. In this paper, we test this instability conjecture on a family of nonlinear electrodynamics black holes, namely $3$D Einstein-Born-Infeld (EBI) AdS black holes. Our results show that when nonlinear electrodynamics effects are weak, the insta…
In this work we study thermodynamics of 2+1-dimensional static black holes with a nonlinear electric field. Besides employing the standard thermodynamic approach, we investigate the black hole thermodynamics by studying its thermodynamic geometry. We compute the Weinhold and Ruppeiner metrics and compare the thermodynamic geometry with the standard description on the black hole thermodynamics. We further consider the cosmological constant as an additional extensive thermodynamic variable. In the thermodynamic equilibrium three dimensional space, we compute the efficiency of the heat engine and…

We construct an exact black hole solution for the Einstein gravity coupled with the nonlinear electrodynamics (which corresponds to the Maxwell electrodynamics in the weak field limit) in the presence of a cloud of strings as the source. We study the thermodynamical properties of the black hole solutions and derive the corrected first-law of thermodynamics. The presence of a cloud of strings does not affect the stability of the present black hole. However, a second-order phase transition exists for this system at a critical horizon radius. Furthermore, we study the quasinormal modes and their …
In this paper, I investigate the nonlinear magnetized black holes of massive gravity's rainbow. In order to achieve this, I use the double-logarithmic electromagnetic field as a matter source and derive the new anti-de Sitter black hole solution. The effects of the massive graviton, rainbow functions, and nonlinearity of the electromagnetic field on the black hole's inner and outer horizons are also studied. The black hole's thermodynamic properties are studied, and the mathematical expressions for temperature, heat capacity, and Gibbs free energy are found. The extended first law and Smarr's …
A recently proposed model for nonlinear electrodynamics has been minimally coupled to dimensionally continued gravity and the topological black holes in the presence of conformal scalar field were studied. In this setup, the new magnetized hairy black hole solution has been found and its thermodynamic properties have also been analyzed. The exact expressions for mass, entropy, Hawking temperature and heat capacity are derived and local thermodynamic stability for the resulting black holes has been checked. In addition to this, the modified Smarr's formula is constructed and the generalized fir…
For the the quintic quasitopological action which has no well-defined variational principle, we introduced a surface term that for a spacetime with flat boundaries make the action well-defined. Moreover, we investigated the numerical solutions of the above-mentioned gravity coupled to the nonlinear logarithmic and exponential electrodynamics. It has no horizon and curvature except one conical singularity at $r=0$ with a deficit angle $δϕ$. Also we found the counterterm which removes non-logarithmic divergences for the static quintic quasitopological gravity. Using this counterterm one can calc…
We discuss the thermodynamics of a general nonlinear electrodynamics (NLED) asymptotically flat black hole enclosed in a finite spherical cavity. A canonical ensemble is considered, which means that the temperature and the charge on the wall of the cavity are fixed. After the free energy is obtained by computing the Euclidean action, it shows that the first law of thermodynamics is satisfied at the locally stationary points of the free energy. Focusing on a Born-Infeld (BI) black hole in a cavity, the phase structure and transition in various regions of the parameter space are investigated. In…
We study the dynamical behavior of spinor particles, and get the energy-momentum relation of charged particles by solving the Dirac equation. Based on the energy-momentum relation, we investigate the laws of thermodynamics and the weak cosmic censorship conjecture for the (2+1)-dimensional regular black hole with nonlinear electrodynamics sources in the normal phase space and the extended phase space. Our results show that the first law of thermodynamics as well as the weak cosmic censorship conjecture are valid in both the phase spaces. However, the second law of thermodynamics is violated in…
Thermodynamic topological classification of magnetically charged slowly rotating Kerr black holes in nonlinear electrodynamics with a cosmological constant
We first obtain the $D$-dimensional asymptotically AdS charged black hole solution in general nonlinear electrodynamics (NLED). We then use the Hamilton-Jacobi method to describe the motion in curved spacetime of a scalar particle and a fermion, which, as we show, satisfy the same Hamilton-Jacobi equation. With absorbing a charged particle, the variation of the generic charged NLED black hole is calculated in the normal and extended phase spaces. In the normal phase space, where the cosmological constant and dimensionful parameters in NLED are fixed, the first and second laws of thermodynamics…
In this article, we construct exact black hole solutions with many horizons (more than number two) in the Einstein-nonlinear electrodynamic theories. In particular, we acquire the explicit expression of nonlinear electrodynamic Lagrangian for the 3-horizon black holes. Then we make the investigations of 3-horizon black holes on the horizons, the null and timelike geodesics, the Love numbers and the thermodynamics.
We analyze the structural and thermodynamic properties of $D$-dimensional ($D \geq 4$), asymptotically flat or Anti-de-Sitter, electrically charged black hole solutions, resulting from the minimal coupling of general nonlinear electrodynamics to General Relativity. This analysis deals with static spherically symmetric (elementary) configurations with spherical horizons. Our methods are based on the study of the behaviour (in vacuum and on the boundary of their domain of definition) of the Lagrangian density functions characterizing the nonlinear electrodynamic models in flat spacetime. These f…
We obtain an exact solution of $AdS$ black hole solution in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) gravity coupled with nonlinear electrodynamics. It interpolates with the $AdS$ regular black hole and $AdS$ EGB black hole in the absence of the Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant and both magnetic monopole charge and deviation parameter, respectively. Based on horizon thermodynamics, we study the thermodynamic properties of the obtained solution (e.g. mass, temperature, entropy, heat capacity and free energy). The Hawking temperature of the nonsingular black hole gets the maximum value at the point where speci…
In this article, the new black hole solutions to the Einstein-power-Maxwell-dilaton gravity theory have been investigated in a four-dimensional space-time. The coupled scalar, electromagnetic and gravitational field equations have been solved in a static and spherically symmetric geometry. It has been shown that dilatonic potential, as the solution to the scalar field equation, can be written in the form of a generalized Liouville potential. Also, three classes of novel charged dilaton black hole solutions, in the presence of power law nonlinear electrodynamics, have been constructed out which…
In this work we reconsider the solution describing black holes surrounded by a `quintessence'-like fluid. This geometry was introduced by Kiselev in 2003 and its physical source was originally modeled by an anisotropic fluid. We show that the Kiselev geometry is actually an exact solution of the Einstein equations coupled to nonlinear electrodynamics. More specifically, we show that the Kiselev geometry becomes an exact solution in the context of power-Maxwell electrodynamics, using either an electric ansatz or a magnetic one. In both cases the physical source can be modeled by a power-Maxwell…
We have analyzed the thermodynamics of slowly rotating magnetized Kerr black-hole, with typical spin parameter $a\le 0.1$ (nearly static) in the background of non-linear electrodynamics. In particular we have studied the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy, Hawking temperature, angular momentum, specific heats and identified regions of parameters for possible phase-transitions. It turns out that once the stability lost the black-hole never come back to its original stable position.
The electric and magnetic black hole solutions are found by coupling the recently introduced nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) model, called "double logharitmic nonlinear electrodynamics" with cosmological Einstein gravity. The solutions become Reissner-Nordstrom (RN) black hole in the weak field limit and asymptotically. The electric solution is expressed as an integral equation while the magnetic black hole solution is expressed in terms of elementary functions. Hence, the thermodynamic structure of the magnetic black hole solution is analyzed by deriving the modified Smarr's formula and study…
By consideration of a Einstein-dilaton non-linear charged gravitating system, it has been shown that this theory is confronted with the problem of indeterminacy. It means that the number of independent differential equations is one less than the number of unknowns. To overcome this problem, the power-law and exponential ansatz functions have been used, separately. Through solving the field equations, in the presence of a Coulomb-like electric field, it has been found that this theory includes two novel classes of charged black holes (BHs) with unusual asymptotic behavior, for each ansatz. It h…
In this work we consider black hole solutions to Einstein theory coupled to a nonlinear power-law electromagnetic field with a fixed exponent value. We study the extended phase space thermodynamics in canonical and grand canonical ensembles where the varying cosmological constant plays the role of an effective thermodynamic pressure. We examine thermodynamical phase transitions in such black hols and find that both first and second order phase transitions can occur in the canonical ensemble, while for the grand canonical ensemble the Hawking-Page and second order phase transitions are allowed.

We present a family of nonlinear electrodynamics models that are free of the infinite self-energy of the point charge. Each model is dependent on a dimensional nonlinearity parameter and is determined by the integer value of a dimensionless parameter n. The Born-Infeld model is recovered when n = 1. Some of the characteristics of this family are studied. In addition, we study the solutions of electrically charged AdS black holes, which result from coupling these electrodynamic models to General Relativity. A Smarr formula consistent with the first law of thermodynamics is also obtained in an e…
Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) gravity is an outcome of quadratic curvature corrections to the Einstein-Hilbert gravity action in the form of a Gauss-Bonnet (GB) term in $ D > 4$ dimensions and EGB gravity is topologically invariant in $4D$. Recently several ways have been proposed for regularizing, a $ D \to 4 $ limit of EGB, for nontrivial gravitational dynamics in $ 4D $. Motivated by the importance of anti-de Sitter gravity/conformal field theory correspondence (AdS/CFT), we analyze black holes with AdS asymptotic to regularized $4D$ EGB gravity coupled to the nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) …
