This work examines the magnetized black holes of Lovelock gravity in the presence of double-logarithmic electrodynamics. In this context, the Lovelock polynomial is found and the accompanying thermodynamic quantities, such as mass, entropy, Hawking temperature, and heat capacity are determined. This new model of nonlinear electrodynamics is used to calculate the black hole solutions of Einstein, Gauss-Bonnet and third order Lovelock gravities as well. The impacts of the double-logarithmic electromagnetic field on the black hole thermodynamics in these particular theories are examined and the regions of horizon radius that correspond to the local thermodynamic stability are highlighted.
In this paper, we consider logarithmic and exponential forms of nonlinear electrodynamics as a source and obtain magnetic brane solutions of the Lovelock gravity. Although these solutions have no curvature singularity and no horizon, they have a conic singularity with a deficit angle. We investigate the effects of nonlinear electrodynamics and the Lovelock gravity on the value of deficit angle and find that various terms of Lovelock gravity do not affect deficit angle. Next, we generalize our solutions to spinning cases with maximum rotating parameters in arbitrary dimensions and calculate the…
The objective of the present paper is to analyze the phase transition of asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AdS) black hole solutions in Lovelock gravity in the presence of nonlinear electrodynamics. First, we present the asymptotically AdS black hole solutions for two classes of the Born-Infeld type of nonlinear electrodynamics coupled with Einstein, Gauss-Bonnet and third order Lovelock gravity, separately. Then, in order to discuss the phase transition, we calculate both the heat capacity and the Ricci scalar of the thermodynamical line element. We present a comparison between the singular poin…
In this paper, we consider Lovelock gravity in presence of two Born-Infeld types of nonlinear electrodynamics and study their thermodynamical behavior. We extend the phase space by considering cosmological constant as a thermodynamical pressure. We obtain critical values of pressure, volume and temperature and investigate the effects of both the Lovelock gravity and the nonlinear electrodynamics on these values. We plot $P-v$, $T-v$ and $G-T$ diagrams to study the phase transition of these thermodynamical systems. We show that power of the nonlinearity and gravity have opposite effects. We als…
In this paper, we obtain topological black hole solutions of third order Lovelock gravity couple with two classes of Born-Infeld type nonlinear electrodynamics with anti-de Sitter asymptotic structure. We investigate geometric and thermodynamics properties of the solutions and obtain conserved quantities of the black holes. We examine the first law of thermodynamics and find that the conserved and thermodynamic quantities of the black hole solutions satisfy the first law of thermodynamics. Finally, we calculate the heat capacity and determinant of Hessian matrix to evaluate thermal stability i…
We present the black hole solutions possessing horizon with nonconstant-curvature and additional scalar restrictions on the base manifold in Lovelock gravity coupled to Born-Infeld (BI) nonlinear electrodynamics. The asymptotic and near origin behavior of the metric is presented and we analyze different behaviors of the singularity. We find that, in contrast to the case of the black hole solutions of BI-Lovelock gravity with constant curvature horizon and Maxwell-Lovelock gravity with nonconstant horizon which has only timelike singularities, spacelike, and timelike singularities may exist for…
We investigate the effect of thermal fluctuations on the thermodynamics of a Lovelock-AdS black hole. Taking the first order logarithmic correction term in entropy we analyze the thermodynamic potentials like Helmholtz free energy, enthalpy and Gibbs free energy. We find that all the thermodynamic potentials are decreasing functions of correction coefficient $α$. We also examined this correction coefficient tmust be positive by analysing $P-V$ diagram. Further we study the P-V criticality and stability and find that presence of logarithmic correction in it is necessary to have critical points …
We present a theorem in d-dimensional static, spherically symmetric spacetime in generic Lovelock gravity coupled with a non-linear electrodynamic source to generate solutions. The theorem states that irrespective of the order of the Lovelock gravity and non-linear Maxwell (NLM) Lagrangian, for the pure electric field case the NLM equations are satisfied by virtue of the Einstein-Lovelock equations. Applications of the theorem, specifically to the study of black hole solutions in Chern-Simons (CS) theory is given. Radiating version of the theorem has been considered, which generalizes the Bonn…
We show, using the tunneling method, that Lovelock black holes Hawking radiate with a perfect blackbody spectrum. This is a new result. Within the semiclassical (WKB) approximation the temperature of the spectrum is given by the semiclassical Hawking temperature. Beyond the semiclassical approximation the thermal nature of the spectrum does not change but the temperature undergoes some higher order corrections. This is true for both black hole (event) and cosmological horizons. Using the first law of thermodynamics the black hole entropy is calculated. Specifically the $D$-dimensional static, …
A recently proposed model for nonlinear electrodynamics has been minimally coupled to dimensionally continued gravity and the topological black holes in the presence of conformal scalar field were studied. In this setup, the new magnetized hairy black hole solution has been found and its thermodynamic properties have also been analyzed. The exact expressions for mass, entropy, Hawking temperature and heat capacity are derived and local thermodynamic stability for the resulting black holes has been checked. In addition to this, the modified Smarr's formula is constructed and the generalized fir…
The exact five-dimensional charged black hole solution in Lovelock gravity coupled to Born-Infeld electrodynamics is presented. This solution interpolates between the Hoffmann black hole for the Einstein-Born-Infeld theory and other solutions in the Lovelock theory previously studied in the literature. The conical singularity of the metric around the origin can be removed by a proper choice of the black hole parameters. The thermodynamic properties of the solution are also analyzed and, in particular, it is shown that the behaviour of the specific heat indicates the existence of a stability tr…
We derive electrically charged black hole solutions of the Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet equations with a nonlinear electrodynamics source in $n (\ge 5)$ dimensions. The spacetimes are given as a warped product $M^2 \times K^{n-2}$, where $K^{n-2}$ is a $(n-2)$-dimensional constant curvature space. We establish a generalized Birkhoff's theorem by showing that it is the unique electrically charged solution with this isometry and for which the orbit of the warp factor on $K^{n-2}$ is non-null. An extension of the analysis for full Lovelock gravity is also achieved with a particular attention to the Cher…
To understand the effect of third order Lovelock gravity, $P-V$ criticality of topological AdS black holes in Lovelock-Born-Infeld gravity is investigated. The thermodynamics is further explored with some more extensions and details than the former literature. A detailed analysis of the limit case $β\rightarrow\infty$ is performed for the seven-dimensional black holes. It is shown that for the spherical topology, $P-V$ criticality exists for both the uncharged and charged cases. Our results demonstrate again that the charge is not the indispensable condition of $P-V$ criticality. It may be att…
Five-dimensional black holes are studied in Lovelock gravity coupled to Hoffmann-Infeld non-linear electrodynamics. It is shown that some of these solutions present a double peak behavior of the temperature as a function of the horizon radius. This feature implies that the evaporation process, though drastic for a period, leads to an eternal black hole remnant. Moreover, the form of the caloric curve corresponds to the existence of a plateau in the evaporation rate, which implies that black holes of intermediate scales turn out to be unstable. The geometrical aspects, such as the absence of co…
In this paper, I investigate the nonlinear magnetized black holes of massive gravity's rainbow. In order to achieve this, I use the double-logarithmic electromagnetic field as a matter source and derive the new anti-de Sitter black hole solution. The effects of the massive graviton, rainbow functions, and nonlinearity of the electromagnetic field on the black hole's inner and outer horizons are also studied. The black hole's thermodynamic properties are studied, and the mathematical expressions for temperature, heat capacity, and Gibbs free energy are found. The extended first law and Smarr's …
We construct a new class of charged rotating black brane solutions in the presence of logarithmic nonlinear electrodynamics with complete set of the rotation parameters in arbitrary dimensions. The topology of the horizon of these rotating black branes are flat, while, due to the presence of the dilaton field the asymptotic behaviour of them are neither flat nor (anti)-de Sitter [(A)dS]. We investigate the physical properties of the solutions. The mass and angular momentum of the spacetime are obtained by using the counterterm method inspired by AdS/CFT correspondence. We derive temperature, e…
We study thermodynamics of black hole solutions in Lanczos-Lovelock AdS gravity in d+1 dimensions coupled to nonlinear electrodynamics and a Stueckelberg scalar field. This class of theories is used in the context of gauge/gravity duality to describe a high-temperature superconductor in d dimensions. Larger number of coupling constants in the gravitational side is necessary to widen a domain of validity of physical quantities in a dual QFT. We regularize the gravitational action and find the finite conserved quantities for a planar black hole with scalar hair. Then we derive the quantum statis…
In this paper, we introduce the counterterms that remove the non-logarithmic divergences of the action in third order Lovelock gravity for static spacetimes. We do this by defining the cosmological constant in such a way that the asymptotic form of the metric have the same form in Lovelock and Einstein gravities. Thus, we employ the counterterms of Einstein gravity and show that the power law divergences of the action of Lovelock gravity for static spacetimes can be removed by suitable choice of coefficients. We find that the dependence of these coefficients on the dimension in Lovelock gravit…
A new dyonic solution for black holes with spherically symmetric configurations in general relativity is obtained. We study black holes possessing electric and magnetic charges, and the source of the gravitational field is electromagnetic fields obeying the logarithmic electrodynamics. This particular form of nonlinear electrodynamics is of interest because of its simplicity. Corrections to Coulomb's law and Reissner-Nordstrom solution are found. We calculate the Hawking temperature of black holes and show that second-order phase transitions occur for some parameters of the model.
The electric and magnetic black hole solutions are found by coupling the recently introduced nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) model, called "double logharitmic nonlinear electrodynamics" with cosmological Einstein gravity. The solutions become Reissner-Nordstrom (RN) black hole in the weak field limit and asymptotically. The electric solution is expressed as an integral equation while the magnetic black hole solution is expressed in terms of elementary functions. Hence, the thermodynamic structure of the magnetic black hole solution is analyzed by deriving the modified Smarr's formula and study…
A new model of nonlinear electrodynamics named as \emph{"double-logarithmic"} is introduced and investigated. The theory carries one dimensionful parameter of the $β$ as Born-Infeld electrodynamics. It is shown that the dual symmetry and dilatation (scale) symmetry are broken in the proposed model. The electric field of a point-like charge is derived for this model and it becomes non-singular at the origin and by use of this electric field the static electric energy of a point like charge is calculated. In the presence of an external magnetic field the theory shows the phenomenon known as vacu…
We present exact black hole solutions endowed with magnetic charge coming from exponential and logarithmic nonlinear electrodynamics (NLED). Classically, we analyze the null and timelike geodesics, all of which contain both the bound and the scattering orbits. Using the effective geometry formalism, we found that photon can have nontrivial stable (both circular and non-circular) bound orbits. The noncircular bound orbits for the one-horizon case mostly take the form of precessed ellipse. For the extremal and three-horizon cases we find many-world orbits where photon crosses the outer horizon b…
Based on the matching method, we explore the effects of adding an external magnetic field on the $s$-wave holographic superconductor when the gauge field is in the form of the logarithmic nonlinear source. First, we obtain the critical temperature as well as the condensation operator in the presence of logarithmic nonlinear electrodynamics and understand that they depend on the nonlinear parameter $b$. We show that the critical temperature decreases with increasing $b$, which implies that the nonlinear gauge field makes the condensation harder. Then, we turn on the magnetic field in the bulk a…
In this paper, a large family of topological black hole solutions of dimensionally continued gravity are derived. The action of Lovelock gravity is coupled to the exponential electrodynamics and the equations of motion are solved in the presence of a pure magnetic source. We work out the metric functions in terms of the parameter $β$ of exponential electrodynamics, and magnetic charge. Further, we couple Lovelock gravity to power-Yang-Mills theory and construct black holes, in diverse dimensions, having Yang-Mills magnetic charge. We also discuss the asymptotic bahaviour of metric functions an…
Modified by a logarithmic term, the non-linear electrodynamics (NED) model of the Born-Infeld (BI) action is reconsidered. Unlike the standard BI action, this choice provides interesting integrals of the Einstein-NED equations. It is found that the spherical matching process for a regular black hole entails indispensable surface stresses that vanish only for a specific value of the BI parameter. This solution represents a classical model of an elementary particle whose radius coincides with the horizon. In flat space time, a charged particle becomes a conducting shell with a radius proportiona…
For the the quintic quasitopological action which has no well-defined variational principle, we introduced a surface term that for a spacetime with flat boundaries make the action well-defined. Moreover, we investigated the numerical solutions of the above-mentioned gravity coupled to the nonlinear logarithmic and exponential electrodynamics. It has no horizon and curvature except one conical singularity at $r=0$ with a deficit angle $δϕ$. Also we found the counterterm which removes non-logarithmic divergences for the static quintic quasitopological gravity. Using this counterterm one can calc…
A simple regular black hole solution satisfying the weak energy condition is obtained within Einstein--non--linear electrodynamics theory. We have computed the thermodynamic properties of this black hole by a careful analysis of the horizons and we have found that the usual Bekenstein--Hawking entropy gets corrected by a logarithmic term. Therefore, in this sense our model realizes some quantum gravity predictions which add this kind of correction to the black hole entropy. In particular, we have established some similitudes between our model and a quadratic generalized uncertainty principle. …
This paper investigates thermodynamics, quasi-normal modes, thermal fluctuations and phase transitions of Reissner-Nordström black hole with the effects of non-linear electrodynamics. We first compute the expressions for Hawking temperature, entropy and heat capacity of this black hole and then obtain a relation between Davies's point and quasi-normal modes with non-linear electrodynamics. We also observe the effects of logarithmic corrections on uncorrected thermodynamic quantities such as entropy, Hawking temperature, Helmholtz free energy, internal energy, Gibbs free energy, enthalpy and he…
In this paper, we consider three-dimensional massive gravity's rainbow and obtain black hole solutions in three different cases of Born-Infeld, logarithmic, and exponential theories of nonlinear electrodynamics. We discuss the horizon structure and geometrical properties. Then, we study thermodynamics of these models by considering the first-order quantum correction effects, which appears as a logarithmic term in the black hole entropy. We discuss such effects on the black hole stability and phase transitions. We find that, due to the quantum corrections, the second-order phase transition happ…
Charged Lifshitz black holes for the Einstein-Proca-Maxwell system with a negative cosmological constant in arbitrary dimension $D$ are known only if the dynamical critical exponent is fixed as $z=2(D-2)$. In the present work, we show that these configurations can be extended to much more general charged black holes which in addition exist for any value of the dynamical exponent $z>1$ by considering a nonlinear electrodynamics instead of the Maxwell theory. More precisely, we introduce a two-parametric nonlinear electrodynamics defined in the more general, but less known, so-called $(\mathcal{…
It is well-known that with an appropriate combination of three Liouville-type dilaton potentials, one can construct charged dilaton black holes in an (anti)-de Sitter [(A)dS] spaces in the presence of linear Maxwell field. However, asymptotically (A)dS dilaton black holes coupled to nonlinear gauge field have not been found. In this paper, we construct, for the first time, three new classes of dilaton black hole solutions in the presence of three types of nonlinear electrodynamics, namely Born-Infeld, Logarithmic and Exponential nonlinear electrodynamics. All these solutions are asymptotically…
In this work we construct several black hole metrics which are consistent with the generalized uncertainty principle logarithmic correction to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy formula. After preserving the event horizon at the usual position, a singularity at the Planck scale is found. Finally, these geometries are shown to be realized by certain model of nonlinear electrodynamics, which resembles previously studied regular black hole solutions.
We calculate the one-loop corrections from inflationary gravitons to the electromagnetic fields of a point charge and a point magnetic dipole on a locally de Sitter space background. Results are obtained both for an observer at rest in co-moving coordinates, whose physical distance from the sources increases with the expanding universe, and for an observer at rest in static coordinates, whose physical distance from the sources is constant. The fields of both sources show the de Sitter analogs of the fractional $G/r^2$ corrections which occur in flat space, but there are also some fractional $G…
We obtain an exact spherically symmetric and magnetically charged black hole solution in 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity coupled with nonlinear electrodynamics with the Lagrangian ${\cal L}_{NED} = -{\cal F}/(1+\sqrt{2\midβ{\cal F}\mid})$ (${\cal F}$ is the field strength invariant). The thermodynamics of the black hole is studied within our model. We calculate the Hawking temperature and the heat capacity of the black hole. The phase transitions occur in the point where the Hawking temperature possesses an extremum and the heat capacity diverges. It was shown that black holes are thermodynam…
Motivated by possible applications within the framework of anti-de Sitter gravity/Conformal Field Theory (AdS/CFT) correspondence, charged black holes with AdS asymptotics, which are solutions to Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity in D dimensions, and whose electric field is described by a nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) are studied. For a topological static black hole ansatz, the field equations are exactly solved in terms of the electromagnetic stress tensor for an arbitrary NED Lagrangian, in any dimension D and for arbitrary positive values of Gauss-Bonnet coupling. In particular, this procedur…

The 2+1 black hole coupled to a Maxwell field can be charged in two different ways. On the one hand, it can support a Coulomb field whose potential grows logarithmically in the radial coordinate. On the other, due to the existence of a non-contractible cycle, it also supports a topological charge whose value is given by the corresponding Abelian holonomy. Only the Coulomb charge, however, is given by a constant flux integral with an associated continuity equation. The topological charge does not gravitate and is somehow decoupled from the black hole. This situation changes abruptly if one turn…
The theory of nonlinear electrodynamics has got a lot of attentions in recent years. It was shown that Born-Infeld nonlinear electrodynamics is not the only modification of the linear Maxwell's field which keeps the electric field of a charged point particle finite at the origin, and other type of nonlinear Lagrangian such as exponential and logarithmic nonlinear electrodynamics can play the same role. In this paper, we generalize the study on the exponential nonlinear electrodynamics by adding a scalar dilaton field to the action. By suitably choosing the coupling of the matter field to the d…
On thermal fluctuations and quantum regularities of $\mathcal{F}(R,\mathcal{G})$ gravity black holes with constant topological Euler density in nonlinear electrodynamics
In this paper, we take into account the black hole solutions of Einstein gravity with logarithmic and exponential forms of nonlinear electrodynamics. We consider $Λ$ as a dynamical pressure to study the analogy of the black holes with the Van der Waals system. We plot P-v, T-v and G-T diagrams and investigate the phase transition of adS black holes in the canonical ensemble. We study the nonlinearity effects of electrodynamics and see how the power of nonlinearity affects critical behavior. We also investigate the effects of dimensionality on the critical values and analyze its crucial role. M…
In this paper, we take into account the dilaton black hole solutions of Einstein gravity in the presence of logarithmic and exponential forms of nonlinear electrodynamics. At first, we consider the cosmological constant and nonlinear parameter as thermodynamic quantities which can vary. We obtain thermodynamic quantities of the system such as pressure, temperature and Gibbs free energy in an extended phase space. We complete the analogy of the nonlinear dilaton black holes with Van der Waals liquid-gas system. We work in the canonical ensemble and hence we treat the charge of the black hole as…
In this paper, we investigate the thermal stability and Joule-Thomson expansion of some new qusitopological black hole solutions. We first study the higher-dimensional static quasitopological black hole solutions in the presence of Born-Infeld, exponential and logarithmic nonlinear electrodynamics. The stable regions of these solutions are independent of the types of the nonlinear electrodynamics. The solutions with the horizons relating to the positive constant curvature, $k=+1$, have a larger region in thermal stability, if we choose positive quasitopological coefficients, $μ_{i}>0$. We also…
In this paper we consider three dimensional BTZ black holes with three models of nonlinear electrodynamics as source. Calculating heat capacity, we study the stability and phase transitions of these black holes. We show that Maxwell, logarithmic and exponential theories yield only type one phase transition which is related to the root(s) of heat capacity. Whereas for correction form of nonlinear electrodynamics, heat capacity contains two roots and one divergence point. Next, we use geometrical approach for studying classical thermodynamical behavior of the system. We show that Weinhold and Ru…
Recently, several methods have been proposed to regularize a $D \to 4$ limit of Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB), leading to nontrivial gravitational dynamics in $4D$. We present an exact nonsingular black hole solution in the $4D$ EGB gravity coupled to non-linear electrodynamics and analyze their thermodynamic properties to calculate precise expressions for the black hole mass, temperature, and entropy. Because of the magnetic charge, the thermodynamic quantities are corrected, and the Hawking--Page phase transition is achievable with diverges of the heat capacity at a larger critical radius $r=r…
We revisit the regular black hole found by Hayward in $4-$dimensional static, spherically symmetric spacetime. To find a possible source for such a spacetime we resort to the non-linear electrodynamics in general relativity. It is found that a magnetic field within this context gives rise to the regular Hayward black hole. By employing such a regular black hole we construct a thin-shell wormhole for the case of various equations of state on the shell. We abbreviate a general equation of state by $p=ψ\left( σ\right) $ where $p$ is the surface pressure which is the function of the mass density (…
We consider a general Kaluza-Klein reduction of a truncated Lovelock theory. We find necessary geometric conditions for the reduction to be consistent. The resulting lower-dimensional theory is a higher derivative scalar-tensor theory, depends on a single real parameter and yields second-order field equations. Due to the presence of higher-derivative terms, the theory has multiple applications in modifications of Einstein gravity (Galileon/Horndesky theory) and holography (Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton theories). We find and analyze charged black hole solutions with planar or curved horizons, both …
