We present the result of a full direct component calculation for the term proportional to zeta(5) in the four-loop universal anomalous dimension of the twist-2 operators in N =4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory for the first three even moments. We suggest the general form such contribution for the arbitrary Lorentz spin of the twist-2 operators.
We compute the contribution to the anomalous dimension of the twist-2 operators in N=4 SYM theory, which is proportional to the number of fermion loops inside Feynman diagrams or, formally, to the number of fermions. The result was obtained by the method based on the calculation of critical indices at the critical point by analogy with previous similar computations in scalar theories and in QCD. The obtained result is much simpler with compare to analogous results in QCD and almost satisfies the maximal transcedentality principle. A possible relation between the obtained result and integrabili…
We compute the complete $Q$-dependence of anomalous dimensions of traceless symmetric tensor operator $ϕ^Q$ in $O(N)$ scalar theory to five-loop. The renormalization factors are extracted from $ϕ^Q\rightarrow Qϕ$ form factors, and the integrand of form factors are constructed with the help of unitarity cut method. The anomalous dimensions match the known results in \cite{Badel:2019oxl, Antipin:2020abu}, where the leading and subleading terms in the large $Q$ limit were obtained using a semiclassical method.
We compute the anomalous dimension of a length-five operator at five-loop order in the SU(2) sector of N=4 SYM theory in the planar limit. This is critical wrapping order at five loops. The result is obtained perturbatively by means of N=1 superspace techniques. Our result from perturbation theory confirms explicitly the formula conjectured in arXiv:0901.4864 for the five-loop anomalous dimension of twist-three operators. We also explicitly obtain the same result by employing the recently proposed Y-system.
We study the first sub-leading correction $O((\ln s)^0)$ to the cusp anomalous dimension in the high spin expansion of finite twist operators in ${\cal N}=4$ SYM theory. This term is still governed by a linear integral equation which we study in the weak and strong coupling regimes. In the strong coupling regime we find agreement with the string theory computations
We study the large N anomalous dimensions of operators in a Leigh-Strassler deformation of N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. The operators that we study have a bare dimension of order N (so that the large N limit is not captured by planar diagrams) and are AdS/CFT dual to giant gravitons. The diagonalization of the dilatation operator factorizes into two problems. One of these problems is solved using a double coset ansatz. The second problem is equivalent to a set of decoupled harmonic oscillators.
We discuss what predictions can be made for one-loop superamplitudes in maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory by using anomalous dual conformal symmetry. We show that the anomaly coefficient is a specific combination of two-mass hard and one-mass supercoefficients which appears in the supersymmetric on-shell recursion relations and equals the corresponding tree-level superamplitude. We discuss further novel relations among supercoefficients imposed by the remaining non-anomalous part of the symmetry. In particular, we find that all one-loop supercoefficients, except the four-mass box coef…
We find a new class of metastable de Sitter solutions in compactifications of six-dimensional supergravity motivated by type IIB or heterotic string vacua. Two Fayet-Iliopoulos terms of a local U(1) symmetry are generated by magnetic flux and by the Green-Schwarz term canceling the gauge anomalies, respectively. The interplay between the induced D-term, the moduli dependence of the effective gauge coupling, and a nonperturbative superpotential stabilizes the moduli and determines the size of the extra dimensions.
In this work we study the cusp anomalous dimension of the marginally deformed N=4 sYM theory. We find the expression of the cusp anomalous dimension both at the weak and strong coupling limits. On the gravity side we partially map the system of equations to that of undeformed N=4 sYM, by defining in the internal space an effective angle Δθ_{eff} which depends on the deformation parameter. The cusp anomalous dimension then can be read from that of the N=4 sYM theory, by using this effective angle instead of the usual angle of the undeformed 5-sphere. In the weak coupling regime we find no beta …
In a conformal field theory with weakly broken higher spin symmetry, the leading order anomalous dimensions of the broken currents can be efficiently determined from the structure of the classical non-conservation equations. We apply this method to the explicit example of $O(N)$ invariant scalar field theories in various dimensions, including the large $N$ critical $O(N)$ model in general $d$, the Wilson-Fisher fixed point in $d=4-ε$, cubic scalar models in $d=6-ε$ and the nonlinear sigma model in $d=2+ε$. Using information from the $d=4-ε$ and $d=2+ε$ expansions, we obtain some estimates for …
We elucidate aspects of the one-loop anomalous dimension of $so(6)$-singlet multi-trace operators in $\mathcal{N}=4\ SU(N_c)$ SYM at finite $N_c$. First, we study how $1/N_c$ corrections lift the large $N_c$ degeneracy of the spectrum, which we call the operator submixing problem. We observe that all large $N_c$ zero modes acquire non-positive anomalous dimension starting at order $1/N_c^2$, and they mix only among the operators with the same number of traces at leading order. Second, we study the lowest one-loop dimension of operators of length equal to $2N_c$. The dimension of such operators…
The result for the six-loop anomalous dimension of twist-three operators in the planar N=4 SYM theory is presented. The calculations were performed along the paper arXiv:0912.1624. This result provides a new data for testing the proposed spectral equations for planar AdS/CFT correspondence.
We compute the general form of the six-loop anomalous dimension of twist-two operators with arbitrary spin in planar N=4 SYM theory. First we find the contribution from the asymptotic Bethe ansatz. Then we reconstruct the wrapping terms from the first 35 even spin values of the full six-loop anomalous dimension computed using the quantum spectral curve approach. The obtained anomalous dimension satisfies all known constraints coming from the BFKL equation, the generalised double-logarithmic equation, and the small spin expansion.
We report on a completely analytical calculation of the field anomalous dimension $γ_φ$ and the critical exponent $η$ for the $O(n)$-symmetric $φ^4$ model at the record six loop level. We successfully compare our result for $γ_φ$ with $n=1$ with the predictions based on the method of the Borel resummation combined with a conformal mapping. Predictions for seven loop contribution to the field anomalous dimensions are given.
We compute the non-planar contribution to the universal anomalous dimension of twist-two operators in N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory at four loops through Lorentz spin eighteen. Exploiting the results of this and our previous calculations along with recent analytic results for the cusp anomalous dimension and some expected analytic properties, we reconstruct a general expression valid for arbitrary Lorentz spin. We study various properties of this general result, such as its large-spin limit, its small-x limit, and others. In particular, we present a prediction for the non-planar contrib…
We present numerical results for the nonplanar lightlike cusp and collinear anomalous dimension at four loops in ${\mathcal N} = 4$ SYM theory, which we infer from a calculation of the Sudakov form factor. The latter is expressed as a rational linear combination of uniformly transcendental integrals for arbitrary colour factor. Numerical integration in the nonplanar sector reveals explicitly the breakdown of quadratic Casimir scaling at the four-loop order. A thorough analysis of the reported numerical uncertainties is carried out.
We present the result of a full direct component calculation for the first three even moments of the non-planar contribution into the four-loop anomalous dimension of twist-2 operators in maximally extended N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. Obtained result complete our previous calculations in arXiv:0902.4646 and gives the usual result for the higher moments on the contrary to degenerate one in the case of Konishi. We have proposed a general form of zeta(5) and zeta(3) parts of the full non-planar anomalous dimension of twist-2 operators. As by product, we have obtained the first moment of…
We give simple examples of weakly coupled or free quantum mechanical systems that exhibit scale invariance with an anomalous dimension for a conserved current. In these models scaling as an exact symmetry only emerges in a large N limit, but it remains as an approximate symmetry even at finite N.
We present an exact full symmetry analysis of the 0-$π$ superconducting circuit. We identify points in control parameter space of enhanced anomalous symmetry, which imposes robust twofold degeneracy of its ground state, that is for all values of the energy parameters of the model. We show, both analytically and numerically, how this anomalous symmetry is maintained in the low-energy sector, thus providing us with a strong candidate for robust qubit engineering.
Models with anomalous U(1) gauge symmetry contain various superfields which can have nonzero supersymmetry breaking auxiliary components providing the origin of soft terms in the visible sector, e.g. the U(1) vector superfield, the modulus or dilaton superfield implementing the Green-Schwarz anomaly cancellation mechanism, U(1)-charged but standard model singlet matter superfield required to cancel the Fayet-Iliopoulos term, and finally the supergravity multiplet. We examine the relative strength between these supersymmetry breaking components in a simple class of models, and find that various…
Some years ago Anton Yu. Alekseev et al. conjectured the existence of massless modes in the spectrum of excitations ("anomalous massless modes") building upon certain similarities between a spontaneous symmetry breaking and the interplay of axial and vector symmetries in an anomalous theory. We reinterpret the analogy and argue that the presence of these modes is ensured in any (even) number of dimensions only by the excitation of certain anomaly-induced terms called Schwinger terms. In 1+1 dimensions the anomalous massless mode corresponds to the charge density wave present in a Luttinger liq…
We compute, to the first non-trivial order in the $ε$-expansion of a perturbed scalar field theory, the anomalous dimensions of an infinite class of primary operators with arbitrary spin $\ell=0,1,..$, including as a particular case the weakly broken higher-spin currents, using only constraints from conformal symmetry. Following the bootstrap philosophy, no reference is made to any Lagrangian, equations of motion or coupling constants. Even the space dimensions d are left free. The interaction is implicitly turned on through the local operators by letting them acquire anomalous dimensions. Whe…
The typical transverse momentum $Q_s(t)$ (or "saturation" momentum) acquired by a hard particle propagating through a $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM plasma increases over time like $t^γ$, with an anomalous exponent $γ>1/2$ characteristic of super-diffusion. This anomalous exponent is a function of the 't Hooft coupling $λ=g^2N_c$. Recently, a method has been proposed to systematically compute the perturbative series of $γ(λ)$ at weak coupling. This method relies on the traveling wave interpretation of the time evolution of $Q_s(t)$ and on the dominance of soft-collinear radiative corrections at large tim…
A technique of large-charge expansion provides a novel opportunity for calculation of critical dimensions of operators $ϕ^Q$ with fixed charge $Q$. In the small-coupling regime the polynomial structure of the anomalous dimensions can be fixed from a number of direct perturbative calculations for a fixed $Q$. At the six-loop level one needs to include new diagrams that correspond to operators with five or more legs. The latter never appeared before in scalar-theory calculations. Here we show how to compute the anomalous dimension of the operator $ϕ^{Q=5}$ at the six-loop order. In combination w…
To obtain natural inflation with large tensor-to-scalar ratio in string framework, we need a special moduli stabilization mechanism which can separate the masses of real and imaginary components of Kähler moduli at different scales, and achieve a trans-Planckian axion decay constant from sub-Planckian axion decay constants. In this work, we stabilize the matter fields by F-terms and the real components of Kähler moduli by D-terms of two anomalous $U(1)_X\times U(1)_A$ symmetries strongly at high scales, while the corresponding axions remain light due to their independence on the Fayet-Iliopoul…
We present algorithmic perturbative solution of $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM quantum spectral curve in the case of twist 2 operators, valid to in principle arbitrary order in coupling constant. The latter treats operator spins as arbitrary integer values and is written in terms of special class of functions -- products of rational functions in spectral parameter with sums of Baxter polynomials and Hurwitz functions. It is shown that this class of functions is closed under elementary operations, such as shifts, partial fractions, multiplication by spectral parameter and differentiation. Also, it is full…
We calculate the all-loop anomalous dimensions of current operators in $λ$-deformed $σ$-models. For the isotropic integrable deformation and for a semi-simple group $G$ we compute the anomalous dimensions using two different methods. In the first we use the all-loop effective action and in the second we employ perturbation theory along with the Callan-Symanzik equation and in conjunction with a duality-type symmetry shared by these models. Furthermore, using CFT techniques we compute the all-loop anomalous dimensions of bilinear currents for the isotropic deformation case and a general $G$. Fi…
