We discuss the extraction of form factors from three-point sum rules making use of harmonic-oscillator model, where we derive the exact expression for the relevant correlator. We determine the form factor of the ground state by the standard procedures adopted in the method of sum rules, and compare the obtained results with the known exact values. We show that the uncontrollable uncertainty in the extracted value of the form factor is typically much larger than that for the decay constant. In the example considered, we find the uncontrolled systematic error in the extracted form factor to exceed the 10% level.
I briefly discuss the derivation of dispersive sum rules constraining semileptonic form-factors. I outline the use of these constraints in the context of charmless semileptonic decays and suggest how, in combination with other theoretical and experimental information, they may reduce the uncertainties in the extraction of $V_{ub}$.
We study the accuracy of the bound-state parameters obtained with the method of dispersive sum rules, one of the most popular theoretical approaches in nonperturbative QCD and hadron physics. We make use of a quantum-mechanical potential model since it provides the only possibility to probe the reliability and the accuracy of this method: one obtains the bound-state parameters from sum rules and compares these results with the exact values calculated from the Schrödinger equation. We investigate various possibilities to fix the crucial ingredient of the method of sum rules -- the effective con…
Puzzled or surprised by the almost incredible accuracy occasionally claimed in the literature to be achievable for numerical outcomes of QCD sum-rule analyses, we scrutinized the usual procedure employed for the extraction of the parameters of individual bound states from dispersive sum rules by taking advantage of the exact solvability of a quantum-mechanical harmonic-oscillator model: It turns out that the determination of the ground-state parameters (that is, decay constant and form factor) by requiring independence from the Borel mass in its stability window does not necessarily yield thei…
We study the extraction of the ground-state parameters from vacuum-to-vacuum correlators. We work in quantum-mechanical potential model which provides the only possibility to probe the reliability and the actual accuracy of this method: one obtains the bound-state parameters from the correlators by the standard procedures adopted in the method of sum rules and compares these results with the exact values calculated from the Schroedinger equation. We focus on the crucial ingredient of the method of sum rules - the effective continuum threshold - and propose a new algorithm to fix this quantity.…
Combining large $N_C$ techniques and partial wave dispersion theory to analyze the $ππ$ scattering, without relying on any explicit resonance lagrangian, some interesting results are derived: (a) a general KSRF relation including the scalar meson contribution; (b) a new relation between resonance couplings, with which we have made an intensive analysis in several specific models; (c) low energy constants in chiral perturbation theory related with $ππ$ scattering in terms of the mass and decay width of resonances.
The procedure of extracting the ground-state parameters from vacuum-to-vacuum and vacuum-to-hadron correlators within the method of sum rules is considered. The emphasis is laid on the crucial ingredient of this method - the effective continuum threshold. A new algorithm to fix this quantity is proposed and tested. First, a quantum-mechanical potential model which provides the only possibility to probe the reliability and the actual accuracy of the sum-rule method is used as a study case. In this model, our algorithm is shown to lead to a remarkable improvement of the accuracy of the extracted…
We present a dispersion theoretical analysis of the experimental data on the electromagnetic form factors of the nucleon covering both the space- and time-like regions. The nucleon form factors over the full range of momentum transfers and the nucleon radius are extracted with high precision. The statistical uncertainties of the extracted form factors and radius are estimated using the bootstrap method, while systematic errors are determined from variations of the spectral functions. For the proton charge radius, we find $r_E^p = 0.840^{+0.003}_{-0.002}{}^{+0.002}_{-0.002}$~fm, in line with pr…
We compare the extraction of the ground-state decay constant from the two-point correlator in QCD and in potential models and show that the results obtained at each step of the extraction procedure follow a very similar pattern. We prove that allowing for a Borel-parameter-dependent effective continuum threshold yields two essential improvements compared to employing a Borel-parameter-independent quantity: (i) It reduces considerably the (unphysical) dependence of the extracted bound-state mass and the decay constant on the Borel parameter. (ii) In a potential model, where the actual value of …
It has been shown, in the case of meson photoproduction, that the power-law falloff of these reactions can be described by lowest order (real) sum rules, at moderate momentum transfer. The phases of these processes, in this regime, are usually thought to be non-perturbative. In a sum rule framework, however, they can possibly be described by radiative corrections to the hadronic spectral densities of the corresponding helicities, which become complex functions to order $α_s$, and the effects of interference can be strongly enhanced by the presence of the vacuum condensates in the dispersion re…
Dispersive sum rules constitute long-standing tools for extracting hadron features from QCD. We estimate the systematic uncertainties induced by assuming quark-hadron duality and improve the accuracy of the resulting predictions by elevating the effective thresholds involved in this approximation from constants to functions of momenta and a parameter entering upon Borel transformation. A rigorous scrutiny of the applicability of our proposed sum-rule modifications to QCD gives us great confidence that our sum-rule alterations will prove to be fruitful for hadron phenomenology.
A novel procedure for extracting hadron characteristics from QCD sum rules, based on effective continuum thresholds (necessary for the implementation of quark-hadron duality) which may depend on the involved momenta and on the Borel parameter(s), enables us to quantify the uncertainties induced by the quark-hadron duality approximation and to achieve a significantly higher accuracy of our predictions for the properties of hadronic bound states.
In a series of papers we have applied several sum rules and forward dispersion relations, to pion-pion scattering. We have found that some widely used data sets fail to satisfy these constraints, and we have provided an amplitude that describes data consistently with the dispersive tests. Furthermore, we noted that the input and precision claimed in a Roy equation analysis by Colangelo, Gasser and Leutwyler, lead to several mismatches with some sum rules. Subsequently, Caprini, Colangelo, Gasser and Leutwyler claimed that our Regge parametrization was incorrect. We collect here the answers to …
Modifying the standard approaches to nonperturbative QCD based on Borel-transformed dispersive sum rules by allowing the effective continuum thresholds required for the implementation of quark-hadron duality to depend on the Borel parameters and on any relevant momentum promises to provide higher accuracy and reliable error estimates for the extracted predictions of hadron characteristics. A careful analysis reveals that the exact effective continuum thresholds do indeed exhibit dependence on the Borel parameter (and on external momenta) and that they are not universal but vary with the correl…
This talk presents the results of our study of systematic errors of the ground-state parameters obtained by Shifman-Vainshtein-Zakharov (SVZ) sum rules. We use the harmonic-oscillator potential model as an example: in this case we know the exact solution for the polarization operator, which allows us to obtain both the OPE to any order and the parameters (masses and decay constants) of the bound states. We extract the parameters of the ground state by making use of the standard procedures of the method of QCD sum rules, and compare the obtained results with their known exact values. We show th…
We reconsider the dispersive evaluation of the weak matrix elements <2pi_{I=2}|Q_{7,8}|K0> in the chiral limit. The perturbative matching is accomplished fully within the scheme dependence used in the two loop weak OPE calculations. The effects of dimension eight (and higher dimension) operators are fully accounted for. We perform a numerical determination of the weak matrix elements using our dispersive sum rules fortified by constraints from the classical chiral sum rules. A careful assessment of the attendant uncertainties is given.
The hadronic contribution to the eight forward amplitudes of light-by-light scattering ($γ^*γ^*\to γ^*γ^*$) is computed in lattice QCD. Via dispersive sum rules, the amplitudes are compared to a model of the $γ^*γ^*\to {\rm hadrons}$ cross sections in which the fusion process is described by hadronic resonances. Our results thus provide an important test for the model estimates of hadronic light-by-light scattering in the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, $a_μ^{\rm HLbL}$. Using simple parametrizations of the resonance $M\to γ^*γ^*$ transition form factors, we determine the corresponding …
This talk presents results of our study of heavy-to-light transition form factors extracted with the help of light-cone sum rules. We employ a model with scalar particles interacting via massless-boson exchange and study the heavy-to-light correlator, relevant for the extraction of the transition form factor. We calculate this correlator in two different ways: by making use of the Bethe-Salpeter wave function of the light bound state and by making use of the light-cone expansion. This allows us to calculate the full correlator and separately the light-cone contribution to it. In this way we sh…
We generalize a recent model-independent form factor parameterization derived from rigorous dispersion relations to include constraints from data in the timelike region. These constraints dictate the convergence properties of the parameterization and appear as sum rules on the parameters. We further develop a new parameterization that takes into account finiteness and asymptotic conditions on the form factor, and use it to fit to the elastic πelectromagnetic form factor. We find that the existing world sample of timelike data gives only loose bounds on the form factor in the spacelike region, …
We construct new dispersive sum rules for the effective field theory of the standard model at mass dimension six. These spinning sum rules encode information about the spin of UV states: the sign of the IR Wilson coefficients carries a memory of the dominant spin in the UV completion. The sum rules are constructed for operators containing scalars and fermions, although we consider the dimension-six SMEFT exhaustively, outlining why equivalent relations do not hold for the remaining operators. As with any dimension-six dispersive argument, our conclusions are contingent on the absence of potent…
We study the spectra of the hybrid mesons containing one heavy quark ($q\bar{Q}g$) within the framework of QCD sum rules in the heavy quark limit. The derived sum rules are stable with the variation of the Borel parameter within their corresponding working ranges. The extracted binding energy for the heavy hybrid doublets $H^h(S^h)$ and $M^h(T^h)$ is almost degenerate. We also calculate the pionic couplings between these heavy hybrid and the conventional heavy meson doublets using the light-cone QCD sum rule method. The extracted coupling constants are rather small as a whole. With these coupl…
We analyze the accuracy of the pion elastic form factor predicted by a local-duality (LD) version of dispersive sum rules. To probe the precision of this theoretical approach, we adopt potential models with interactions that involve both Coulomb and confining terms. In this case, the exact form factor may be obtained from the solution of the Schroedinger equation and confronted with the LD sum rule results. We use parameter values appropriate for hadron physics and observe that, independently of the details of the confining interaction, the deviation of the LD form factor from the exact form f…

Instanton contributions to pseudoscalar finite-energy sum rules are extracted from the explicit single-instanton contribution to the pseudoscalar Laplace sum rule in the instanton liquid model.
We use dispersive techniques to address the behavior of the pion form factor as $Q^2 \to \infty$ and $Q^2 \to 0$. We perform the matching with the constraints of perturbative QCD and chiral perturbation theory in the high energy and low energy limits, leading to four sum rules. We present a version of the dispersive input which is consistent with the data and with all theoretical constraints. The results indicate that the asymptotic perturbative QCD limit is approached relatively slowly, and give a model independent determination of low energy chiral parameters.
The light scalar meson sigma(600) is known to appear at low excitation energy with very large width on top of continuum states. We investigate it in the QCD sum rule as an example of resonance structures appearing above the corresponding thresholds. We use all the possible local tetraquark currents by taking linear combinations of five independent local ones. We ought to consider the pi-pi continuum contribution in the phenomenological side of the QCD sum rule in order to obtain a good sum rule signal. We study the stability of the extracted mass against the Borel mass and the threshold value …
Transition form factors of pi^0, eta, eta' mesons are investigated by means of the anomaly sum rule -- an exact nonperturbative relation which follows from the dispersive representation of the axial anomaly. Considering the problem of contributions of operators originated from a non-(local) operator product expansion, we found that they are required by the available set of experimental data, including the most recent data from the Belle Collaboration (which, if taken alone, can be described without such contributions, although are compatible with them). In this approach we analyzed the experim…
We discuss the extraction of ground-state parameters, such as decay constants and form factors, from two- and three-point dispersive sum rules, making use of a quantum-mechanical potential model. This model provides a unique possibility to probe the reliability and the accuracy of the method of sum rules: one obtains the bound-state parameters by the standard procedures adopted in sum rules, and compares these results with the exact values, known in the potential model. We demonstrate the presence of uncontrollable uncertainties in the ground-state parameters obtained from sum rules and estima…
We derive new QCD sum rules for $B\to D$ and $B\to D^*$ form factors. The underlying correlation functions are expanded near the light-cone in terms of $B$-meson distribution amplitudes defined in HQET, whereas the $c$-quark mass is kept finite. The leading-order contributions of two- and three-particle distribution amplitudes are taken into account. From the resulting light-cone sum rules we calculate all $B\to \Dst $ form factors in the region of small momentum transfer (maximal recoil). In the infinite heavy-quark mass limit the sum rules reduce to a single expression for the Isgur-Wise fun…
The polarized structure functions of $^3He$ and $^3H$ nuclei are calculated in NLO approximation, considering and disregarding the light sea quark symmetry breaking. We employ the polarized structure function of the nucleons within the nucleus extracted from our two recent analysis on polarized DIS data and on polarized DIS+SIDIS data. Since the data of the second analysis cover a bigger range of Bjorken variable, both SU(2) and SU(3) symmetry breaking is considered within the analysis. Then we calculate and compare the polarized structures of nuclei extracted from both scenarios. Also the Bjo…
We present a theoretical parametrization of the nucleon electromagnetic form factors (FFs) based on a combination of chiral effective field theory and dispersion analysis. The isovector spectral functions on the two-pion cut are computed using elastic unitarity, chiral pion-nucleon amplitudes, and timelike pion FF data. Higher-mass isovector and isoscalar t-channel states are described by effective poles, whose strength is fixed by sum rules (charges, radii). Excellent agreement with the spacelike proton and neutron FF data is achieved up to Q^2 \sim 1 GeV^2. Our parametrization provides prope…
We study behavior of J/psi in hot gluonic matter using QCD sum rules. Taking into account temperature dependences of the gluon condensates extracted from lattice thermodynamics for the pure SU(3) system, we find that the mass and width of J/psi exhibit rapid change across the critical temperature.
Within the framework QCD sum rules, we use the least square fitting method to investigate the first radial excitations of the nucleon and light mesons such as $ρ$, $K^{*}$, $π$ , $φ$. The extracted masses of these radial excitations are consistent with the experimental data. Especially we find that the decay constant of $π(1300)$, which is the the first radial excitation of $π$, is tiny and strongly suppressed as a consequence of chiral symmetry.
We formulate a new algorithm for obtaining the effective continuum threshold in vacuum-to-bound-state correlators - the basic objects for the calculation of hadron form factors in the method of light-cone sum rules in QCD. The effective continuum threshold is one of the key ingredients of the method which to a large extent determines the value of the form factor extracted from the relevant correlator. In a quantum-mechanical potential model, where the exact form factor is known, the application of our algorithm is shown to lead to a dramatic increase of the accuracy of the extracted form facto…
Scattering off the edge of a composite particle or finite-range interaction can precede that off its center. An effective theory treatment with pointlike particles and contact interactions must find that the scattered experimental wave is slightly advanced, in violation of causality (the fundamental underlying theory being causal). In practice, partial-wave or other projections of multivariate amplitudes exponentially grow with imaginary E, so that upper complex-plane analyticity is not sufficient to obtain a dispersion relation for them, but only for a slightly modified function (the modified…
We present precision corrections to dispersion relation bounds on form factors in bottom hadron semileptonic decays and analyze their effects on parameterizations derived from these bounds. We incorporate QCD two-loop and nonperturbative corrections to the two-point correlator, consider form factors whose contribution to decay rates is suppressed by lepton mass, and implement more realistic estimates of truncation errors associated with the parameterizations. We include higher resonances in the hadronic sum that, together with heavy quark symmetry relations near zero recoil, further tighten th…
We generalize forward real Compton amplitude to the case of the interference of the electromagnetic and weak neutral current, formulate a low-energy theorem, relate the new amplitudes to the interference structure functions and obtain a new set of sum rules. We address a possible new sum rule that relates the product of the axial charge and magnetic moment of the nucleon to the 0th moment of the structure function $g_5(ν,0)$. We apply the GDH and the finite energy sum rule for constraining the dispersive $γZ$-box correction to the proton's weak charge.
We extract the leading twist-2 and subleading twist-3 Distribution Amplitudes (DAs) of the rho meson using the HERA data on diffractive rho photoproduction. We do so using several Colour Glass Condensate (CGC) inspired and a Regge inspired dipole models. We find that our extracted twist-2 DA is not much model dependent and is consistent with QCD Sum Rules and lattice predictions. The extracted twist-3 DA is more model dependent but is still consistent with the Sum Rules prediction.
The pion-photon transition form factor is studied by employing two types of Sum Rules: Light Cone Sum Rules (LCSR) and Anomaly Sum Rules (ASR). By comparing the predictions for the pion-photon transition form factor, obtained from these two approaches, the applicability limit of the LCSRs at low momenta is determined. Reciprocally, the ASR threshold dependence on the momentum was extracted using our LCSR-based method in combination with two different types of pion distribution amplitudes and found that at higher Q2 it approaches a constant.
Because of their small electromagnetic corrections, the isospin-breaking decays $η\to3π$ seem to be good candidates for extracting isospin-breaking parameters $ (m_d-m_u)$. This task is unfortunately complicated by large chiral corrections and the discrepancy between the experimentally measured values of the Dalitz parameters describing the energy dependence of the amplitudes of these decays and those predicted from chiral perturbation theory. We present two methods based on an analytic dispersive representation that use the information from the NNLO chiral result and the one from the measurem…
The Cottingham formula expresses the leading contribution of the electromagnetic interaction to the proton-neutron mass difference as an integral over the forward Compton amplitude. Since quarks and gluons reggeize, the dispersive representation of this amplitude requires a subtraction. We assume that the asymptotic behaviour is dominated by Reggeon exchange. This leads to a sum rule that expresses the subtraction function in terms of measurable quantities. The evaluation of this sum rule leads to $m_{QED}^{p-n}=0.58\pm 0.16\,\mbox{MeV}$.
This talk reviews the recent progress in the extraction of bound-state characteristics from the operator-product expansion (OPE) for field-theory correlators, which constitutes the basis of the method of QCD sum rules. This progress is mainly related to a deeper understanding of one of the key ingredients of the method of sum rules -- the effective continuum threshold. The latter determines to a great extent the numerical values of the bound-state parameters obtained by sum rules. The understanding of properties of the effective continuum threshold allows one to formulate a new algorithm for f…
We report on dispersive and finite energy sum rule analyses of the electroweak penguin matrix elements < (pi pi) | Q_{7,8} | K > in the chiral limit. We accomplish the correct perturbative matching (scale and scheme dependence) at NLO in alpha_s, and we describe two different strategies for numerical evaluation.
We perform the isospin decomposition of proton and neutron SLAC data in the region $0.01 \leq x \leq 0.1$. The isovector part is well described by a power behaviour $x^α$, where $α$ leads to the validity of Bjorken sum rule and it is consistent with the power extracted from all previous data using NLO evolution. The isoscalar part behaviour may be interpreted as a partial cancellation between a positive non-singlet contribution and a singlet one strongly negative.
We recapitulate the method which resums the truncated perturbation series of a physical observable in a way which takes into account the structure of the leading infrared renormalon. We apply the method to the Gross-Llewellyn Smith (GLS) sum rule. By confronting the obtained result with the experimentally extracted GLS value, we determine the value of the QCD coupling parameter which turns out to agree with the present world average.
Using the method of QCD light-cone sum rules, we calculate the $B \to ππ$ hadronic matrix elements with annihilation topology. We obtain a finite result, including the related strong phase. Numerically, the annihilation effects in $B\to ππ$ turn out to be small with respect to the factorizable emission mechanism. Our predictions, together with the earlier sum rule estimates of emission and penguin contributions, are used for the phenomenological analysis of $B\to ππ$ channels. We predict a $ΔI=1/2$ transition amplitude which significantly differs from this amplitude extracted from the current …
Using the OPE, we formulate new sum rules in the heavy quark limit of QCD. These sum rules imply that the elastic Isgur-Wise function $ξ(w)$ is an alternate series in powers of $(w-1)$. Moreover, one gets that the $n$-th derivative of $ξ(w)$ at $ w=1$ can be bounded by the $(n-1)$-th one, and an absolute lower bound for the $n$-th derivative $(-1)^n ξ^{(n)}(1) \geq {(2n+1)!! \over 2^{2n}}$. Moreover, for the curvature we find $ξ''(1) \geq {1 \over 5} [4 ρ^2 + 3(ρ^2)^2]$ where $ρ^2 = - ξ'(1)$. We show that the quadratic term ${3 \over 5} (ρ^2)^2$ has a transparent physical interpretation, as it…
Recent experimental data for the differential decay distribution of the decay $τ^-\toν_τK_Sπ^-$ by the Belle collaboration are described by a theoretical model which is composed of the contributing vector and scalar form factors $F_+^{Kπ}(s)$ and $F_0^{Kπ}(s)$. Both form factors are constructed such that they fulfil constraints posed by analyticity and unitarity. A good description of the experimental measurement is achieved by incorporating two vector resonances and working with a three-times subtracted dispersion relation in order to suppress higher-energy contributions. The resonance parame…
The Drell-Hearn-Gerasimov and Bjorken sum rules are special examples of dispersive sum rules for the spin-dependent structure function G_1(ν, Q^2) at Q^2=0 and \infty. We generalize these sum rules through studying the virtual-photon Compton amplitudes S_1(ν, Q^2) and S_2(ν,Q^2). At small Q^2, we calculate the Compton amplitudes at leading-order in chiral perturbation theory; the resulting sum rules can be tested by data soon available from Jefferson Lab. For Q^2>>Λ_{QCD}^2, the standard twist-expansion for the Compton amplitudes leads to the well-known deep-inelastic sum rules. Although the s…
Background: The transverse densities $ρ_{1, 2}(b)$ describe the distributions of electric charge and magnetic moment at fixed light-front time and connect the nucleon's elastic form factors with its partonic structure. The dispersive representation of the form factors $F_{1, 2}(t)$ expresses the densities in terms of exchanges of hadronic states in the $t$-channel and permits their analysis using hadronic physics methods. Purpose: Compute the densities at peripheral distances $b = \mathcal{O}(M_π^{-1})$, where they are generated predominantly by the two-pion states in the dispersive representa…
The Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rule and related dispersive integrals connect real and virtual Compton scattering to inclusive photo- and electroproduction. Being based on universal principles as causality, unitarity, and gauge invariance, these relations provide a unique testing ground to study the internal degrees of freedom that hold a system together. The present contribution reviews the spin-dependent sum rules and cross sections of the nucleon. At small momentum transfer, the data sample information on the long range phenomena (Goldstone bosons and collective resonances), whereas the prima…
A new sum rule determines the nucleon sigma term by the πN elastic scattering threshold parameters alone. This "threshold" value of σ(2μ^2) provides an independent check of existing values obtained from global dispersive analyses, and also provides a realistic error assignment. Employing a recent analysis of low energy (T_π< 100 MeV) πN data our sum rule implies σ(2μ^2) = 71\pm 9 MeV.
We report N* masses in the spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 sectors using the method of QCD Sum Rules. They are based on three independent sets derived from generalized interpolating fields. The predictive ability of each sum rule is examined by a Monte-Carlo based analysis procedure in which all three phenomenological parameters (mass, coupling, threshold) are extracted simultaneously. A parity projection technique is also studied.
We propose a method for calculating the nucleon form factors (FFs) of $G$-parity-even operators by combining Chiral Effective Field Theory ($χ$EFT) and dispersion analysis. The FFs are expressed as dispersive integrals over the two-pion cut at $t > 4 M_π^2$. The spectral functions are obtained from the elastic unitarity condition and expressed as products of the complex $ππ\rightarrow N\bar N$ partial-wave amplitudes and the timelike pion FF. $χ$EFT is used to calculate the ratio of the partial-wave amplitudes and the pion FF, which is real and free of $ππ$ rescattering in the $t$-channel ($N/…
We develop a number of sum rules comparing spectral integrals involving judiciously chosen weights to integrals over the corresponding Euclidean two-point function. The applications we have in mind are to the hadronic vacuum polarization that determines the most important hadronic correction $a_μ^{\rm HVP}$ to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. First, we point out how spectral weights may be chosen that emphasize narrow regions in $\sqrt{s}$, providing a tool to investigate emerging discrepancies between data-driven and lattice determinations of $a_μ^{\rm HVP}$. Alternatively, for a narrow re…
The Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rule is one of several dispersive sum rules that connect the Compton scattering amplitudes to the inclusive photoproduction cross sections of the target under investigation. Being based on such universal principles as causality, unitarity, and gauge invariance, these sum rules provide a unique testing ground to study the internal degrees of freedom that hold the system together. The present article reviews these sum rules for the spin-dependent cross sections of the nucleon by presenting an overview of recent experiments and theoretical approaches. The generalizat…
We assess the two-photon exchange contribution to the Lamb shift in muonic hydrogen with forward dispersion relations. The subtraction constant $\bar T(0,Q^2)$ that is necessary for a dispersive evaluation of the forward doubly-virtual Compton amplitude, through a finite energy sum rule, is related to the fixed J=0 pole generalized to the case of virtual photons. We evaluated this sum rule using excellent virtual photoabsorption data that are available. We find that the "proton polarizability correction" to the Lamb shift in muonic hydrogen is $-(40\pm5)μ$eV. We conclude that nucleon structure…
We present the state-of-the-art of the light-cone sum rule approach to Baryon form factors. The essence of this approach is that soft Feynman contributions are calculated in terms of small transverse distance quantities using dispersion relations and duality. The form factors are thus expressed in terms of nucleon wave functions at small transverse separations, called distribution amplitudes, without any additional parameters. The distribution amplitudes, therefore, can be extracted from the comparison with the experimental data on form factors and compared to the results of lattice QCD simula…
