I present latest measurements from the B factories of branching fractions for B meson decays to hadronic two- and three-body final states. These include the rate of doubly Cabibbo-suppressed charge states of charmed mesons in two-body decays, charmed baryons and other structure seen in baryonic B decays, and charmless mesonic two-body decays in comparison with estimates from theory.
The BESIII experiment has collected the $e^+e^-$ collision data samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of 2.93 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, $3.19$ $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, 3.13 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ and 567 $\mathrm{pb}^{-1}$ at center-of-mass energies of 3.773 GeV, 4.178 GeV, 4.189-4.226 GeV and 4.599 GeV, respectively. We report the measurements of strong-phase parameters based on the decays $D^0\to K^0_{S/L}π^+π^-$, $D^0\to K^0_{S/L}K^+K^-$, $D^0\to K^-π^+π^+π^-$ and $D^0\to K^-π^+π^0$, which are important input for binned model-independent measurement of the CKM angle $γ/ϕ_3$. In addition, we rep…
We investigate the possible deuteron-like molecules composed of a pair of charmed spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ baryons, or one charmed baryon and one charmed antibaryon within the one-boson-exchange (OBE) model. For the spin singlet and triplet systems, we consider the couple channel effect between systems with different orbital angular momentum. Most of the systems have binding solutions. The couple channel effect plays a significant role in the formation of some loosely bound states. The possible molecular states of $Ω_c^*Ω_c^*$ and $Ω_c^*\barΩ_c^*$ might be stable once produced.
We report the recent results of charmed baryon decays, based on the data collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB collider. This includes the observation of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $Λ_c^+\toπ^-K^+p$, search for the decay $Λ_c^+\toϕp π^0$, and the branching fraction measurement of $Λ_c^+\toπ^+K^-pπ^0$.
We study the properties of charmed, nonstrange, $\rm D$ mesons produced in continuum $\rm {e^+}{e^-}$ annihilations. The $ \rm {e^+}{e^-}$ collisions were generated in the energy region of the $ \rm Υ(3S)$ and $ \rm Υ(4S)$ resonances by the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, and were analyzed by the CLEO detector. We make extensive study of the decay topology $\rm D^0, D^+ \rightarrow \overline{\rm K}^{_{_0}}X$, where the $\overline{\rm K}^{_{_0}}$ is observed in the final state $\rm K^{0}_{S} \rightarrow π^+π^-$. The decay $ \rm D^+ \rightarrow K^- π^+π^-$ is also considered. We analyze the hadro…
Two-body hadronic weak decays of the charmed baryon $Ω_c$, including Cabibbo-favored (CF), singly Cabibbo-suppressed (SCS) and doubly Cabibbo-suppressed (DCS) modes, are studied systematically in this work. To estimate nonfactorizable contributions, we work in the pole model for the $P$-wave amplitudes and current algebra for the $S$-wave amplitudes. Among all the channels decaying into a baryon octet and a pseudoscalar meson, $Ω_c\to Ξ^0\overline{K}^0$ is the only allowed CF mode. The predicted branching fraction of order $3.8\%$ and large and positive decay asymmetry of order $0.50$ indicate…
I present here a selection of preliminary results on charmed hadron decays from BESIII collaboration, including the study of $D^{+}\to K^{-}π^{+}e^{+}ν_{e}$, the measurement of the form factors in $D^{+}\to ωe^{+}ν_{e}$ and the search for $D^{+}\to ϕe^{+}ν_{e}$, the study of decay dynamics and \emph{CP} asymmetry in $D^{+}\to K^{0}_{L} e^{+}ν_{e}$, and the measurements of the absolute branching fractions of twelve Cabbibo-favored hadronic $\lambdacp$ decay modes and $Λ^+_c\rightarrow Λe^+ν_e$. The results are based on the data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the $ψ(3770)$ peak an…
This paper serves as an update of the previous work entitled ``Heavy-Flavor-Conserving Hadronic Weak Decays of Charmed and Bottom Baryons". We make an improvement on the bag wave functions by removing the center-of-mass motion of the bag. All the baryon matrix elements are now calculated under the same framework without introducing new parameters. The matrix elements of 4-quark operators are found to be nearly twice larger than the previous ones. The calculated branching fractions of $ Ξ_c ^0 \to Λ_c ^+π^-$ and $Ξ_b^- \to Λ^0_b π^-$ are both in agreement with current experimental results. For …
The mass, current coupling, and width of the doubly charmed four-quark meson $T_{cc}^{+}$ are explored by treating it as a hadronic molecule $ M_{cc}^{+}\equiv D^{0}D^{\ast +}$. The mass and current coupling of this molecule are calculated using the QCD two-point sum rule method by including into analysis contributions of various vacuum condensates up to dimension $ 10 $. The prediction for the mass $m=(4060\pm 130)~\mathrm{MeV}$ exceeds the two-meson $D^{0}D^{\ast +}$ threshold $3875.1~\mathrm{MeV}$, which makes decay of the molecule $M_{cc}^{+}$ to a pair of conventional mesons $ D^{0}D^{\as…
We perform a systematical investigation of the possible deuteron-like bound states with configuration $Ξ_{cc}N (\bar{N})$, where $N(\bar{N})$ denotes the nucleon (anti-nucleon), in the framework of the one-boson-exchange-potential model. In the spin-triplet sector we take into account both the ${}^3S_1$ and ${}^3D_1$ channels due to non-vanishing tensor force. There exist several candidates of the loosely bound molecular states for the $Ξ_{cc}N$ and $Ξ_{cc}\bar{N}$ systems, which lie below the threshold of $Λ_cΛ_c$ or $Λ_c{\barΛ}_c$. We also investigate the possible loosely bound states with c…
Recently Belle collaboration reported new measurements for the branching fractions with the first observing two processes of $\mathcal{B}(Ξ_c^0\toΛK^0_S)$, $\mathcal{B}(Ξ_c^0\toΣ^0 K^0_S)$ and updating data for $\mathcal{B}(Ξ_c^0\toΣ^+ K^-)$. Combined with other known data on charmless two body decays of anti-triplet charmed baryons, a lot of information can be derived with the assistance of $SU(3)$ flavour symmetry. Using $SU(3)$ relations between different decay modes, we can give some predictions based on the new measurements which can be tested with the high luminosity experiments in the f…
We study Cabibbo-favored (CF) and singly Cabibbo-suppressed (SCS) two-body hadronic weak decays of the antitriplet charmed baryons $Λ_c^+$, $Ξ_c^0$ and $Ξ_c^+$ with more focus on the last two. Both factorizable and nonfactorizable contributions are considered in the topologic diagram approach. The estimation of nonfactorizable contributions from $W$-exchange and inner $W$-emission diagrams relies on the pole model and current algebra. The non-perturbative parameters in both factorizable and nonfactorizable parts are calculated in the MIT bag model. Branching fractions and up-down decay asymmet…
We study the quasi-two-body $D\to TP$ decays and the three-body $D$ decays proceeding through intermediate tensor resonances, where $T$ and $P$ denote tensor and pseudoscalar mesons, respectively. We employ $D\to T$ transition form factors based upon light-cone sum rules and the covariant light-front quark model to evaluate the decay rates, with the former giving a better agreement with current data. Though the tree amplitudes with the emitted meson being a tensor meson vanish under factorization approximation, contributions proportional to the tensor decay constant $f_T$ can be produced from …
A comprehensive review of weak decays of charmed hadrons ($D^{0/+}$, $D^+_s$ and $Λ^+_c$) based on analyses of the threshold data from $e^+e^-$ annihilation in the BESIII experiment is presented. Current experimental challenges and successes in understanding decays of the charmed hadrons are discussed. Precise calibrations of QCD and tests of the Standard Model are provided by measurements of purely leptonic and semi-leptonic decays of charmed hadrons, and lepton universality is probed in purely leptonic decays of charmed mesons to three generations of leptons. Quantum correlations in threshol…
Inspired by the present experimental status of charmed-strange mesons, we perform a systematic study of the charmed-strange meson family, in which we calculate the mass spectra of the charmed-strange meson family by taking a screening effect into account in the Godfrey-Isgur model and investigate the corresponding strong decays via the quark pair creation model. These phenomenological analyses of charmed-strange mesons not only shed light on the features of the observed charmed-strange states, but also provide important information on future experimental search for the missing higher radial an…
We study decay properties of the $P$-wave charmed baryons using the method of light-cone QCD sum rules, including the $S$-wave decays of the flavor $\mathbf{\bar 3}_F$ $P$-wave charmed baryons into ground-state charmed baryons accompanied by a pseudoscalar meson ($π$ or $K$) or a vector meson ($ρ$ or $K^*$), and the $S$-wave decays of the flavor $\mathbf{6}_F$ $P$-wave charmed baryons into ground-state charmed baryons accompanied by a pseudoscalar meson ($π$ or $K$). We study both two-body and three-body decays which are kinematically allowed. We find two mixing solutions from internal $ρ$- an…
We make a systematic calculation of the spectra and hadronic decays of the $D_s$ system in a coupled channel framework, where the unquenched effects are induced by the $^3P_0$ model. In the calculation, the wave functions are obtained by using a nonrelativistic potential model and are handled precisely with Gaussian Expansion Method. Even though the fitting mainly focuses on the spectrum, our model agrees well with the experiments on both the spectra and the hadronic decays, suggesting that the coupled channel effect could result in a reasonable and coherent description of the $D_s$ mesons. Ba…
