We prove that the initial value problem (IVP) for the cubic defocusing nonlinear Boussinesq equation $u_{tt}-u_{xx}+u_{xxxx}-(|u|^2u)_{xx}=0$ on the real line is globally well-posed in $H^{s}(\R)$ provided $2/3<s<1$.
In this paper, we consider the stochastic Boussinesq equations on $\mathbb T^3$ with transport noise and rough initial data. We first prove the existence and uniqueness of the local pathwise solution with initial data in $L^p(Ω;L^p)$ for $p>5$. By assuming additional smallness on the initial data and the noise, we establish the global existence of the pathwise solution.
This work concerns the global well-posedness problem for the 3D axisymmetric viscous Boussinesq system with critical rough initial data. More precisely, we aim to extending our recent result \cite{Hanachi-Houamed-Zerguine} to the case of initial data of measure type. To this end, we should first develop some notions of axisymmetric measures in a general context, then, in the spirit of \cite{Gallay-Sverak}, we prove the global wellposedness result provided that the atomic parts of the initial measures are small enough.
Studied in this paper is the sixth-order Boussinesq equation. We extend the local well-posedness theory for this equation with quadratic and cubic nonlinearities to the high dimensional case. In spite of having the ``bad'' fourth term $Δu$ in the equation, we derive some dispersive estimates leading to the existence of local solutions which also improves the previous results in the cubic case. In addition, we show persistence of spatial analyticity of solutions for the cubic nonlinearity.
This article studies the global well-posedness for a class of defocusing, generalized sixth-order Boussinesq equations, extending a previous result obtained by Wang and Esfahani for the case when the nonlinear term is cubic.
We address the well-posedness for the two-dimensional Boussinesq equations with zero diffusivity in bounded domains. We prove global in time regularity for rough initial data: both the initial velocity and temperature have $ε$ fractional derivatives in $L^{q}$ for some $q>2$ and $ε>0$ arbitrarily small.
The contribution of this paper will be focused on the global existence and uniqueness topic in three-dimensional case of the axisymmetric viscous Boussinesq system in critical Lebesgue spaces. We aim at deriving analogous results for the classical two-dimensional and three-dimensional axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations recently obtained in \cite{Gallay,Gallay-Sverak}. Roughly speaking, we show essentially that if the initial data $(v_0,ρ_0)$ is axisymmetric and $(ω_0,ρ_0)$ belongs to the critical space $L^1(Ω)\times L^1(\mathbb{R}^3)$, with $ω_0$ is the initial vorticity associated to $v_0$ …
Improved local well-posedness for the periodic "good" Boussinesq equation
我们证明了具有周期边界条件的“好”Boussinesq模型在空间$H^{s}\times H^{s-2}$中对于$s > -3/8$是局部适定的.在证明中,我们采用规范形式的方法,这使我们能够明确地提取解决方案的粗糙部分。这也导致了这样的结论,即余数在更平滑的空间$C([0,T], H^{s+a}), where $ 0 <= a < \min(2s+1,1/2)$. If we have a mean-zero initial data, this implies a smoothing effect of this order for the non-linearity. This is new even in the previously considered cases $ s > -1/4$中。
In this paper, we study the cubic defocusing nonlinear wave equation on the three dimensional hyperbolic space. We use the Fourier truncation method to show that the equation is globally well-posed and scatters if the initial data lies in $H^s(\mathbb{H}^3)$, $s>\frac{182}{201}\approx 0.905$.
In this article, we study long time dynamics for defocusing cubic NLS on three dimensional product space. First, we apply the decoupling method in Bourgain-Demeter \cite{BD} to establish a bilinear Strichartz estimate. Moreover, we prove global well-posedness for defocusing, cubic NLS on three dimensional product space with rough initial data ($H^s$, $s>\frac{5}{6}$) based on I-method and the bilinear estimate. At last, we discuss the growth of higher Sobolev norm problem which is tightly linked to the weak turbulence phenomenon.

In this paper, we study the one-dimensional cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLS) on the circle. In particular, we develop a normal form approach to study NLS in almost critical Fourier-Lebesgue spaces. By applying an infinite iteration of normal form reductions introduced by the first author with Z. Guo and S. Kwon (2013), we derive a normal form equation which is equivalent to the renormalized cubic NLS for regular solutions. For rough functions, the normal form equation behaves better than the renormalized cubic NLS, thus providing a further renormalization of the cubic NLS. We then pr…
We use exponential sums to study the fractal dimension of the graphs of solutions to linear dispersive PDE. Our techniques apply to Schrödinger, Airy, Boussinesq, the fractional Schrödinger, and the gravity and gravity-capillary water wave equations. We also discuss applications to certain nonlinear dispersive equations. In particular, we obtain bounds for the dimension of the graph of the solution to cubic nonlinear Schrödinger and Korteweg-de Vries equations along oblique lines in space-time.
On the 2d Zakharov system with L^2 Schrödinger data
We study Cauchy problem for the Klein-Gordon (HNLKG), wave (HNLW) and Schrödinger (HNLS) equations with cubic convolution (Hartree type) nonlinearity. Some global well-posedness and scattering are obtained for the (HNLKG) and (HNLS) with small Cauchy data in some modulation spaces. Global well-posedness for fractional Schrödinger (fNLSH) equation with Hartree type nonlinearity is obtained with Cauchy data in some modulation spaces. Local well-posedness for (HNLW), (fHNLS) and (HNLKG) with rough data in modulation spaces is shown. This improves known results in Sobolev spaces in some sense. As …
