We generalize the correlation functions of the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) inequality to multipartite d-dimensional systems. All the Bell inequalities based on this generalization take the same simple form as the CHSH inequality. For small systems, numerical results show that the new inequalities are tight and we believe this is also valid for higher dimensional systems. Moreover, the new inequalities are relevant to the previous ones and for bipartite system, our inequality is equivalent to the Collins-Gisin-Linden-Masser-Popescu (CGLMP) inequality.
We study the relation between distillability of multipartite states and violation of Bell's inequality. We prove that there exist multipartite bound entangled states (i.e. non-separable, non-distillable states) that violate a multipartite Bell inequality. This implies that (i) violation of Bell's inequality is not a sufficient condition for distillability and (ii) some bound entangled states cannot be described by a local hidden variable model.
We present generic Bell inequalities for multipartite multi-dimensional systems. The inequalities that any local realistic theories must obey are violated by quantum mechanics for even-dimensional multipartite systems. A large set of variants are shown to naturally emerge from the generic Bell inequalities. We discuss particular variants of Bell inequalities, that are violated for all the systems including odd-dimensional systems.
The spectral decomposition of all (n,2,2) Bell operators ($2^{2^n}$ in number, $n \ge 2$), as introduced by Werner and Wolf, is done. Its implications on the characterization of Bell operators as probes of entanglement are considered in detail.

In this paper, we define the return operator, the cross product operator and the cross Bell bases. Using the cross Bell bases, we give a protocol of teleportation of arbitrary multipartite qubit entanglement, this scheme is a quite natural generalization of the BBCJPW scheme. We find that this teleportation, in fact, is essentially determined by the teleportation of every single unknown qubit state as in the original scheme of BBCJPW. We report on the experimental violation of multipartite Bell inequalities by entangled states of trapped ions. First we consider resource states for measurement-based quantum computation of between 3 and 7 ions and show that all strongly violate a Bell-type inequality for graph states, where the criterion for violation is a sufficiently high fidelity. We show that violation of genuine multipartite Bell inequalities can be obtained with sampled, probabilistic phase space methods. These genuine Bell violations cannot be replicated if any part of the system is described by a local hidden variable theory. The Bell violations are simulated probabilistically using quantum phase-space representations. We show that arbitrary functions of continuous variables, e.g. position and momentum, can be used to generate tests that distinguish quantum theory from local hidden variable theories. By optimising these functions, we obtain more robust violations of local causality than obtained previously. We analytically calculate the optimal function and include the effect of nonideal detectors and noise, revealing that optimized functional inequalities are resistant to standard forms of decoherence. These inequalities could allow a loophole-free Bell test with efficient homodyne detection.

For any finite number of parts, measurements and outcomes in a Bell scenario we estimate the probability of random $N$-qu$d$it pure states to substantially violate any Bell inequality with uniformly bounded coefficients. We prove that under some conditions on the local dimension the probability to find any significant amount of violation goes to zero exponentially fast as the number of parts goes to infinity. In addition, we also prove that if the number of parts is at least 3, this probability also goes to zero as the the local Hilbert space dimension goes to infinity.

Derivation of the full set of Bell inequalities involving correlation functions, for two parties, with binary observables, and N possible local settings is not as easy as it seemed. The proof of v1 is wrong. Additionaly one can find a counterexample, which will be presented soon. Thus our thesis is dead. Still the series of Bell inequalities discussed in the manuscript (v1) form a necessary condition for local realism, and are tight. They are tight and complete (sufficient) only for N=3 settings per observer (as shown in quant-ph/0611086, fortunately using an entirely different approach).

We estimate the probability of random $N$-qudit pure states violating full-correlation Bell inequalities with two dichotomic observables per site. These inequalities can show violations that grow exponentially with $N$, but we prove this is not the typical case. For many-qubit states the probability to violate any of these inequalities by an amount that grows linearly with $N$ is vanishingly small. We investigate polygamy relations of multipartite entanglement in arbitrary-dimensional quantum systems. By improving an inequality and using the $β$th ($0\leqβ\leq1$) power of entanglement of assistance, we provide a new class of weighted polygamy inequalities of multipartite entanglement in arbitrary-dimensional quantum systems.
