We show that the full matrix algebra Mat_p(C) is a U-module algebra for U = U_q sl(2), a 2p^3-dimensional quantum sl(2) group at the 2p-th root of unity. Mat_p(C) decomposes into a direct sum of projective U-modules P^+_n with all odd n, 1<=n<=p. In terms of generators and relations, this U-module algebra is described as the algebra of q-differential operators "in one variable" with the relations D z = q - q^{-1} + q^{-2} z D and z^p = D^p = 0. These relations define a "parafermionic" statistics that generalizes the fermionic commutation relations. By the Kazhdan--Lusztig duality, it is to be realized in a manifestly quantum-group-symmetric description of (p,1) logarithmic conformal field models. We extend the Kazhdan--Lusztig duality between U and the (p,1) logarithmic models by constructing a quantum de Rham complex of the new U-module algebra.
We evaluate multiple polylogarithm values at sixth roots of unity up to weight six, i.e. of the form $G(a_1,\ldots,a_w;1)$ where the indices $a_i$ are equal to zero or a sixth root of unity, with $a_1\neq 1$. For $w\leq 6$, we present bases of the linear spaces generated by the real and imaginary parts of $G(a_1,\ldots,a_w;1)$ and present a table for expressing them as linear combinations of the elements of the bases.
We discuss different invariants of knots and links that depend on a primitive root of unity. We clarify the definitions of existing invariants with the Reshetikhin-Turaev method, present the generalization of ADO invariants to $\mathcal{U}_q(sl_N)$ and highlight the connections between different invariants.
The spin-1/2 Heisenberg XXZ chain is a paradigmatic quantum integrable model. Although it can be solved exactly via Bethe ansatz techniques, there are still open issues regarding the spectrum at root of unity values of the anisotropy. We construct Baxter's Q operator at arbitrary anisotropy from a two-parameter transfer matrix associated to a complex-spin auxiliary space. A decomposition of this transfer matrix provides a simple proof of the transfer matrix fusion and Wronskian relations. At root of unity a truncation allows us to construct the Q operator explicitly in terms of finite-dimensio…
We present a comprehensive classification of invariants of knots and links associated with irreducible representations of \uqslN{}, when the parameter of quantization $q$ is a root of unity. We demonstrate that, besides the standard HOMFLY-PT invariants, which are associated with representations with highest and lowest weights, non-trivial invariants can be associated only with nilpotent representations with parameters. We define the corresponding invariants and discuss their relations with standard invariants at particular values of parameters.
We give a formula for the radial asymptotics to all orders of the special $q$-hypergeometric series known as Nahm sums at complex roots of unity. This result is used in~\cite{CGZ} to prove one direction of Nahm's conjecture relating the modularity of Nahm sums to the vanishing of a certain invariant in $K$-theory. The power series occurring in our asymptotic formula are identical to the conjectured asymptotics of the Kashaev invariant of a knot once we convert Neumann-Zagier data into Nahm data, suggesting a deep connection between asymptotics of quantum knot invariants and asymptotics of Nahm…
