We investigate phase coherent electronic transport in an open quantum system, which consists of quantum dots side-coupled to a nanowire. It is demonstrated that coherent switching can be characterized by adjusting the electronic energy. A comparative analysis of quantum coherence effects in side-coupled quantum-dot systems is presented. Our results demonstrate the relevance of electronic nanodevices based on coherent switching by appropriately detuning the side-coupled quantum dots that are located at variable distance along a wire.
We study the two-time correlation function and the resonance fluorescence spectrum of a semiconductor quantum dot excited by a strong off-resonant laser pulse. The obtained analytical expressions exhibit a specific detuning-dependent damping of Rabi oscillations of the dressed quantum dot as well as a detuning-dependent width of Mollow-triplet lines. In the absence of pure dephasing, the central peak of the triplet is broadened, upon increasing detuning, but the blue and red side peaks are narrowed. We demonstrate that pure dephasing processes can invert these dependences. A crossover between …
We study nuclear spin dynamics in a quantum dot close to the conditions of electron spin resonance. We show that at small frequency mismatch the nuclear field detunes the resonance. Remarkably, at larger frequency mismatch its effect is opposite: The nuclear system is bistable, and in one of the stable states the field accurately tunes the electron spin splitting to resonance. In this state the nuclear field fluctuations are strongly suppressed and nuclear spin relaxation is accelerated.
Recently, longitudinal acoustic phonons have been identified as the main source of the intensity damping observed in Rabi rotation measurements of the ground-state exciton of a single InAs/GaAs quantum dot. Here we report experiments of intensity damped Rabi rotations in the case of detuned laser pulses, the results have implications for the coherent optical control of both excitons and spins using detuned laser pulses.
We present both experimental and theoretical investigations of a laser-driven quantum dot (QD) in the dressed-state regime of resonance fluorescence. We explore the role of phonon scattering and pure dephasing on the detuning-dependence of the Mollow triplet and show that the triplet sidebands may spectrally broaden or narrow with increasing detuning. Based on a polaron master equation approach which includes electron-phonon interaction nonperturbatively, we derive a fully analytical expression for the spectrum. With respect to detuning dependence, we identify a crossover between the regimes o…
We measure the shot noise of a quantum point-contact using a capacitively coupled InAs double quantum dot as an on-chip sensor. Our measurement signals are the (bidirectional) interdot electronic tunneling rates which are determined by means of time-resolved charge sensing. The detector frequency is set by the relative detuning of the energy levels in the two dots. For nonzero detuning, the noise in the quantum point contact generates inelastic tunneling in the double dot and thus causes an increase in the interdot tunneling rate. Conservation of spectral weight in the dots implies that this i…
Controlled adiabatic transfer of a single electron through a chain of quantum dots has been recently achieved in GaAs and Si/SiGe based quantum dots, opening prospects for turning stationary spin qubits into mobile ones, and solving in this way the problem of long-distance communication between quantum registers in a scalable quantum computing architecture based on quantum dots. We consider theoretically the process of such an electron transfer between two tunnel-coupled quantum dots, focusing on control by slowly varying the detuning of energy levels in the dots. We take into account the fluc…
Transport spectroscopy of two-spin states in a double quantum dot can be performed by an AC electric field which tunes the energy detuning. However, a problem arises when the transition rate between the states is small and, consequently, the AC-induced current is suppressed. Here, we show that if the AC field tunes the inter-dot tunnel barrier then for large detuning the transition rate increases drastically resulting in high current. Multi-photon resonances are enhanced by orders of magnitude. Our study demonstrates an efficient way for fast two-spin transitions.
A global quantitative picture of the phonon-induced two-electron spin relaxation in GaAs double quantum dots is presented using highly accurate numerical calculations. Wide regimes of interdot coupling, magnetic field magnitude and orientation, and detuning are explored in the presence of a nuclear bath. Most important, the unusually strong magnetic anisotropy of the singlet-triplet relaxation can be controlled by detuning switching the principal anisotropy axes: a protected state becomes unprotected upon detuning, and vice versa. It is also established that nuclear spins can dominate spin rel…
We theoretically examine the capacitive coupling between two quantum dot hybrid qubits, each consisting of three electrons in a double quantum dot, as a function of the energy detuning of the double dot potentials. We show that a shaped detuning pulse can produce a two-qubit maximally entangling operation in $\sim$50ns without having to simultaneously change tunnel couplings. Simulations of the entangling operation in the presence of experimentally realistic charge noise yield two-qubit fidelities over 90%.
We use tunneling spectroscopy to study the evolution of few-electron spin states in parallel InAs nanowire double quantum dots (QDs) as a function of level detuning and applied magnetic field. Compared to the much more studied serial configuration, parallel coupling of the QDs to source and drain greatly expands the probing range of excited state transport. Owing to a strong confinement, we can here isolate transport involving only the very first interacting single QD orbital pair. For the (2,0)-(1,1) charge transition, with relevance for spin-based qubits, we investigate the excited (1,1) tri…
We present a statistical readout method for quantum interferences based on time series analysis of consecutive single electron transfers through a double quantum dot Aharonov-Bohm interferometer. Waiting time distributions qualitatively indicate the presence of interferences and provide information on orbital-detuning and coherent interdot-electron transfer. Interdot transfer induced oscillations are Aharonov-Bohm phase sensitive, while those due to level detuning are phase-independent. The signature of the quantum interference in the waiting time distribution is more apparent for weakly coupl…
We report the observation of all-optically tunable Raman fluorescence from a single quantum dot. The Raman photons are produced in an optically-driven Lambda-system defined by subjecting the single electron charged quantum dot to a magnetic field in Voigt geometry. Detuning the driving laser from resonance, we tune the frequency of the Raman photons by about 2.5 GHz. The number of scattered photons and the linewdith of the Raman photons are investigated as a function of detuning. The study presented here could form the basis of a new technique for investigating spin-bath interactions in the so…
We simulate the control of the spin states in a two-electron double quantum dot when an external detuning potential is used for passing the system through an anticrossing. The hyperfine coupling of the electron spins with the surrounding nuclei causes the anticrossing of the spin states but also the decoherence of the spin states. We calculate numerically the singlet-triplet decoherence for different detuning values and find a good agreement with experimental measurement results of the same setup. We predict an interference effect due to the coupling of T0 and T+ states.
Long-distance transfer of quantum information in architectures based on quantum dot spin qubits will be necessary for their scalability. One way of achieving it is to simply move the electron between two quantum registers. Precise control over the electron shuttling through a chain of tunnel-coupled quantum dots is possible when interdot energy detunings are changed adiabatically. Deterministic character of shuttling is however endangered by coupling of the transferred electron to thermal reservoirs: sources of fluctuations of electric fields, and lattice vibrations. We theoretically analyse h…
Long-distance fast and precise transfer of charge in semiconductor nanostructures is one of the goals for scalable electronic devices. We study theoretically the control of shuttling of an electron along a linear chain of semiconductor electrostatically-defined quantum dots by an electric field pulse with nonlinear time-dependent profile. We show that this essential nonlinearity along with shortcuts to adiabaticity techniques speed up the electron transfer with high fidelity, while still holding great robustness under spin-flip interactions and inhomogeneities in the couplings of the chain. A …
We show that electrons in coupled quantum dots characterized by high aspect ratios undergo abrupt density rotations when the dots are biased into an asymmetric confinement configuration. Density rotations occur with electron transfer to a single dot, and give rise to sharp variations of the exchange coupling between electrons as a function of inter-dot detuning. Our analysis based on exact diagonalization technique indicates that this unusual behavior is in agreement with the von Neumann-Wigner theorem that dictates the variations of the energy spectrum from the symmetries of the molecular sta…
We demonstrate the Josephson effect in a serial double quantum dot defined in a nanowire with epitaxial superconducting leads. The supercurrent stability diagram adopts a honeycomb pattern with electron-hole and left-right reflection symmetry. We observe sharp discontinuities in the magnitude of the critical current, $I_c$, as a function of dot occupation, related to doublet to singlet ground state transitions. Detuning of the energy levels offers a tuning knob for $I_c$, which attains a maximum at zero detuning. The consistency between experiment and theory indicates that our device is a fait…
The spin-orbit coupling influences the total spin of semiconductor quantum dots. We analyze the theoretical prediction for the combined effects of spin-orbit coupling, weak vertical magnetic fields and deformation of the dot. Our results allow the characterization of the quantum dots as spin switches, controllable with electric gates.
We investigate phonon-induced spin and charge relaxation mediated by spin-orbit and hyperfine interactions for a single electron confined within a double quantum dot. A simple toy model incorporating both direct decay to the ground state of the double dot and indirect decay via an intermediate excited state yields an electron spin relaxation rate that varies non-monotonically with the detuning between the dots. We confirm this model with experiments performed on a GaAs double dot, demonstrating that the relaxation rate exhibits the expected detuning dependence and can be electrically tuned ove…
We consider qubit coupling resulting from the capacitive coupling between two double quantum dot (DQD) single-triplet qubits. Calculations of the coupling when the two DQDs are detuned symmetrically or asymmetrically are performed using a full configuration interaction (CI). The full CI reveals behavior that is not observed by more commonly used approximations such as Heitler London or Hund Mulliken, particularly related to the operation of both DQDs in the (0,2) charge sector. We find that there are multiple points in detuning-space where a two-qubit entangling gate can be realized, and that …
We study the nonequilibrium spin current through a quantum dot consisting of two localized spin-1/2 coupled to two ferromagnetic insulators. The influence of an intra-dot magnetic field and exchange coupling, different dot-reservoir coupling configurations, and the influence of magnon chemical potential differences vs. magnetic field gradients onto the spin current are examined. We discuss various spin switching mechanisms and find that, in contrast to electronic transport, the spin current is very sensitive to the specific coupling configuration and band edges. In particular, we identify 1- a…
We propose a controlled experiment to clarify the physical mechanism causing phase lapses of the amplitude for electron transmission through nanoscale devices. Such lapses are generically observed in valleys between adjacent Coulomb--blockade peaks. The experiment involves two quantum dots embedded in the same arm of an Aharonov--Bohm interferometer. It offers a decisive test of "population switching", one of the leading contenders for an explanation of the phenomenon.
Employing oval shaped quantum billiards connected by quantum wires as the building blocks of a linear quantum dot array, we calculate the ballistic magnetoconductance in the linear response regime. Optimizing the geometry of the billiards, we aim at a maximal finite- over zero-field ratio of the magnetoconductance. This switching effect arises from a relative phase change of scattering states in the oval quantum dot through the applied magnetic field, which lifts a suppression of the transmission characteristic for a certain range of geometry parameters. It is shown that a sustainable switchin…
We study the AC field induced current peaks of a spin blockaded double quantum dot with spin-orbit interaction. The AC field modulates either the interdot tunnel coupling or the energy detuning, and we choose the AC field frequency range to induce two singlet-triplet transitions giving rise to two current peaks. We show that for a large detuning the two current peaks can be significantly stronger when the AC field modulates the tunnel coupling, thus making the detection of the spin-orbit gap more efficient. We also demonstrate the importance of the time dependence of the spin-orbit interaction…
Silicon quantum dot qubits must contend with low-lying valley excited states which are sensitive functions of the quantum well heterostructure and disorder; quantifying and maximizing the energies of these states are critical to improving device performance. We describe a spectroscopic method for probing excited states in isolated Si/SiGe double quantum dots using standard baseband pulsing techniques, easing the extraction of energy spectra in multiple-dot devices. We use this method to measure dozens of valley excited state energies spanning multiple wafers, quantum dots, and orbital states, …
As an application in circuit quantum electrodynamics (cQED) coupled systems, superconducting resonators play an important role in high-sensitivity measurements in a superconductingsemiconductor hybrid architecture. Taking advantage of a high-impedance NbTiN resonator, we perform excited-state spectroscopy on a GaAs double quantum dot (DQD) by applying voltage pulses to one gate electrode. The pulse train modulates the DQD energy detuning and gives rise to charge state transitions at zero detuning. Benefiting from the outstanding sensitivity of the resonator, we distinguish different spin-state…
Resonant scattering of weak coherent laser pulses on a single two-level system (TLS) realized in a semiconductor quantum dot is investigated with respect to a time delay between incoming and scattered light. This type of time delay was predicted by Wigner in 1955 for purely coherent scattering and was confirmed for an atomic system in 2013 [R. Bourgain et al., Opt. Lett. 38, 1963 (2013)]. In the presence of electron-phonon interaction we observe deviations from Wigner's theory related to incoherent and strongly non-Markovian scattering processes which are hard to quantify via a detuning-indepe…
We present magnetoresistance (MR) experiments on an InAs nanowire quantum dot device with two ferromagnetic sidegates (FSGs) in a split-gate geometry. The wire segment can be electrically tuned to a single dot or to a double dot regime using the FSGs and a backgate. In both regimes we find a strong MR and a sharp MR switching of up to 25\% at the field at which the magnetizations of the FSGs are inverted by the external field. The sign and amplitude of the MR and the MR switching can both be tuned electrically by the FSGs. In a double dot regime close to pinch-off we find {\it two} sharp trans…
We investigated the tunneling current peculiarities in the system of two coupled by means of the external field quantum dots (QDs) weakly connected to the electrodes in the presence of Coulomb correlations. It was found that tuning of the external field frequency induces fast multiple tunneling current switching and leads to the negative tunneling conductivity. Special role of multi-electrons states was demonstrated. Moreover we revealed conditions for bistable behavior of the tunneling current in the coupled QDs with Coulomb correlations.
Computational studies based on 6 band k$\cdot$p theory are employed on lens-shaped III-nitride quantum dots (QDs) with focus on the polarization properties of the optical interband transitions. The results predict pronounced linear polarization of the ground-state related transitions for asymmetric QDs of a material with small split-off energy. It is demonstrated that a moderate externally applied electric field can be used to induce a linear polarization and to control its direction. InN is found to be the most efficient choice for dynamic polarization switching controlled by an electric fiel…
The manipulation of single spins in double quantum dots by making use of the exchange interaction and a highly inhomogeneous magnetic field was discussed in [W. A. Coish and D. Loss, Phys. Rev. B 75, 161302 (2007)]. However, such large inhomogeneity is difficult to achieve through the slanting field of a micromagnet in current designs of lateral double dots. Therefore, we examine an analogous spin manipulation scheme directly applicable to realistic GaAs double dot setups. We estimate that typical gate times, realized at the singlet-triplet anticrossing induced by the inhomogeneous micromagnet…
Highly accurate numerical results of phonon-induced two-electron spin relaxation in silicon double quantum dots are presented. The relaxation, enabled by spin-orbit coupling and the nuclei of $^{29}$Si (natural or purified abundance), are investigated for experimentally relevant parameters, the interdot coupling, the magnetic field magnitude and orientation, and the detuning. We calculate relaxation rates for zero and finite temperatures (100 mK), concluding that our findings for zero temperature remain qualitatively valid also for 100 mK. We confirm the same anisotropic switch of the axis of …
We demonstrate the effects of cavity quantum electrodynamics for a quantum dot coupled to a photonic molecule, consisting of a pair of coupled photonic crystal cavities. We show anti-crossing between the quantum dot and the two super-modes of the photonic molecule, signifying achievement of the strong coupling regime. From the anti-crossing data, we estimate the contributions of both mode-coupling and intrinsic detuning to the total detuning between the super-modes. Finally, we also show signatures of off-resonant cavity-cavity interaction in the photonic molecule.
We discuss the spectral lineshapes of N quantum dots in strong coupling with the single mode of a microcavity. Nontrivial features are brought by detuning the emitters or probing the direct exciton emission spectrum. We describe dark states, quantum nonlinearities, emission dips and interferences and show how these various effects may coexist, giving rise to highly peculiar lineshapes.

The generation of photons in a microcavity coupled to a laser-driven quantum dot interacting with longitudinal acoustic (LA) phonons is studied in the regime of simultaneously strong driving and strong dot-cavity coupling. The stationary cavity photon number is found to depend in a non-trivial way on the detuning between the laser and the exciton transition in the dot. In particular, the maximal efficiency of the cavity feeding is obtained for detunings corresponding to transition energies between cavity-dressed states with excitation numbers larger than one. Phonons significantly enhance the …
In this work we investigate the X-ray edge singularity problem realized in noninteracting quantum dots. We analytically calculate the exponent of the singularity in the absorption spectrum near the threshold and extend known analytical results to the whole parameter regime of local level detunings. Additionally, we highlight the connections to work distributions and to the Loschmidt echo.
The charge transport properties of zero-temperature multi-orbital quantum dot systems with one dot coupled to leads and the other dots coupled only capacitatively are studied within density functional theory. It is shown that the setup is equivalent to an effective single impurity Anderson model. This allows to understand the level occupation switching effect as transitions between ground states of different integer occupations in the uncoupled dots. Level occupation switching is very sensitive to small energy differences and therefore also to the details of the parametrized exchange-correlati…
Few-electron systems confined in a quantum dot laterally coupled to a surrounding quantum ring in the presence of an external magnetic field are studied by exact diagonalization. The distribution of electrons between the dot and the ring is influenced by the relative strength of the dot and ring confinement, the gate voltage and the magnetic field which induces transitions of electrons between the two parts of the system. These transitions are accompanied by changes in the periodicity of the Aharonov-Bohm oscillations of the ground-state angular momentum. The singlet-triplet splitting for a tw…
We explore theoretically the spin transport in nanostructures consisting of a gold quantum dot bridging nonmagnetic electrodes and two Mn12-Ph single molecule magnets (SMMs) that are thiol-bonded to the dot but are not in direct contact with the electrodes. We find that reversal of the magnetic moment of either SMM by the application of a magnetic field leads to a large change in the resistance of the dot, i.e., a strong spin valve effect. We show that this phenomenon arises from a novel physical principle: The spin-dependent molecular orbitals that extend over the dot and both SMMs change dra…
We investigate coupling of localized spins in a semiconductor quantum dot embedded in a microcavity with a finite quality factor. The lowest cavity mode and the quantum dot exciton are coupled forming a polariton, whereas excitons interact with localized spins via exchange. The finite quality of the cavity Q is incorporated in the model Hamiltonian by adding an imaginary part to the photon frequency. The Hamiltonian, which treats photons, spins and excitons quantum mechanically, is solved exactly. Results for a single polariton clearly demonstrate the existence of a resonance, sharper as the t…
Recent experiment [Sigrist et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 98}, 036805 (2007)] reported switches between 0 and $π$ in the phase of Aharonov-Bohm oscillations of the two-terminal differential conductance through a two-dot ring with increasing voltage bias. Using a simple model, where one of the dots contains multiple interacting levels, these findings are explained as a result of transport through the interferometer being dominated at different biases by quantum dot levels of different "parity" (i.e. the sign of the overlap integral between the dot state and the states in the leads). The redistri…
For a single semiconductor quantum dot embedded in a microcavity, we theoretically and experimentally investigate phonon-assisted transitions between excitons and the cavity mode. Within the framework of the independent boson model we find that such transitions can be very efficient, even for relatively large exciton-cavity detunings of several millielectron volts. Furthermore, we predict a strong detuning asymmetry for the exciton lifetime that vanishes for elevated lattice temperature. Our findings are corroborated by experiment, which turns out to be in good quantitative and qualitative agr…
We theoretically study the coupled modes of a medium-size quantum dot, which may confine a maximum of ten electron-hole pairs, and a single photonic mode of an optical microcavity. Ground-state and excitation energies, exciton-photon mixing in the wave functions and the emission of light from the microcavity are computed as functions of the pair-photon coupling strength, photon detuning, and polariton number.
We present a medium-dependent quantum optics approach to describe the influence of electron-acoustic phonon coupling on the emission spectra of a strongly coupled quantum-dot cavity system. Using a canonical Hamiltonian for light quantization and a photon Green function formalism, phonons are included to all orders through the dot polarizability function obtained within the independent Boson model. We derive simple user-friendly analytical expressions for the linear quantum light spectrum, including the influence from both exciton and cavity-emission decay channels. In the regime of semiconduc…
We have studied the Faraday rotation and ellipticity signals in ensembles of singly-charged (In,Ga)As/GaAs quantum dots by pump-probe spectroscopy. For degenerate pump and probe we observe that the Faraday rotation signal amplitude first grows with increasing the time separation between pump and probe before a decay is observed for large temporal separations. The temporal behavior of the ellipticity signal, on the other hand, is regular: its amplitude decays with the separation. By contrast, for detuned pump and probe the Faraday rotation and ellipticty signals both exhibit similar and convent…
We propose a nanoscale device consisting of a double quantum dot with strong intra- and inter- dot Coulomb repulsions. In this design, the current can only flow through the lower dot, but is triggered by the gate-controlled occupancy of the upper dot. At low temperatures, our calculations predict the double dot to pass through a narrow Kondo regime, resulting in highly sensitive switching characteristics between three well-defined states : insulating, normal conduction and resonant conduction.
We determine the spin exchange coupling J between two electrons located in two vertically tunnel-coupled quantum dots, and its variation when magnetic (B) and electric (E) fields (both in-plane and perpendicular) are applied. We predict a strong decrease of J as the in-plane B field is increased, mainly due to orbital compression. Combined with the Zeeman splitting, this leads to a singlet-triplet crossing, which can be observed as a pronounced jump in the magnetization at in-plane fields of a few Tesla, and perpendicular fields of the order of 10 Tesla for typical self-assembled dots. We use …
The dynamics of electrons in ac driven double quantum dots have been extensively analyzed by means of Floquet theory. In these systems, coherent destruction of tunneling has been shown to occur for certain ac field parameters. In the present work we analyze, by means of Floquet theory, the electron dynamics of a triple quantum dot in series attached to electric contacts, where the central dot position oscillates. In particular, we analyze the quasienergy spectrum of this ac driven nanoelectromechanical system, as a function of the intensity and frequency of the ac field and of external dc volt…
We present a theory for understanding the exchange interaction between electron spins in neighboring quantum dots, either by changing the detuning of the two quantum dots or independently tuning the tunneling barrier between quantum dots. The Hubbard model and a more realistic confining-potential model are used to investigate how the tilting and barrier control affect the effective exchange coupling and thus the gate fidelity in both the detuning and symmetric regimes. We show that the exchange coupling is less sensitive to the charge noise through tunnel barrier control (while allowing for ex…
We theoretically model the electronic dynamics of a coupled quantum dot pair in a static electric field. We then investigate the possibility of polarization-entangled photon emission from the radiative cascade of the molecular biexciton state. Through numerical simulations, we analyze the dependence of entanglement fidelity on temperature and electric field, as well as tunnel coupling. We establish a regime of direct-indirect exciton detunings for which coupled quantum dots are superior to single dots for entangled photon generation, yielding near-unit fidelity over a larger range of exchange …
Semiconductor quantum dots in silicon are promising qubits because of long spin coherence times and their potential for scalability. However, such qubits with complete electrical control and fidelities above the threshold for quantum error correction have not yet been achieved. We show theoretically that the threshold fidelity can be achieved with ac gate operation of the quantum dot hybrid qubit. Formed by three electrons in a double dot, this qubit is electrically controlled, does not require magnetic fields, and runs at GHz gate speeds. We analyze the decoherence caused by 1/f charge noise …
Strong correlation effects on electron transport through a spinless quantum dot are considered. When two single-particle levels in the quantum dot are degenerate, a conserved pseudospin degree of freedom appears for general tunneling matrix elements between the quantum dot and leads. Local fluctuations of the pseudospin in the quantum dot give rise to a pair of asymmetric conductance peaks near the center of a Coulomb valley. An exact relation to the population switching is provided.
Switching of a single plasmon interacting with equally spaced quantum dots coupled to one-dimensional surface plasmonic waveguide is investigated theoretically via the real-space approach. We showed that the transmission and reflection of a single plasmon can be switched on or off by dynamically tuning and changing the number of the equal transition frequencies of the quantum dots.
The emission properties of single quantum dots in planar microcavities are studied experimentally and theoretically. Fivefold Enhanced spontaneous emission outside the microcavity is found for dots in resonance with the cavity mode, relative to detuned dots, while their radiative lifetime is only marginally decreased. Using high power excitation we obtain the in-plane cavity dispersion. Near field images of the emission show spatial distributions of several microns for resonant dots, which decrease in size with the detuning from resonance. These experimental findings are explained using a simp…
A whole series of complementary studies have been performed on the same, single nanowire containing a quantum dot: cathodoluminescence spectroscopy and imaging, micro-photoluminescence spectroscopy under magnetic field and as a function of temperature, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry and imaging. The ZnTe nanowire was deposited on a Si 3 N 4 membrane with Ti/Al patterns. The complete set of data shows that the CdTe quantum dot features the heavy-hole state as a ground state, although the compressive mismatch strain promotes a light-hole ground state as soon as the aspect ratio is larg…
We propose to create a biexciton by a coherent optical process using a frequency-sweeping (chirped) laser pulse. In contrast to the two-photon Rabi flop scheme, the present method uses the state transfer through avoided level crossing and is a geometric control. The proposed process is robust against pulse area uncertainty, detuning, and dephasing. The speed of the adiabatic operation is constrained by the biexciton binding energy.
