We review the present status in the theoretical and phenomenological understanding of charmonium and bottomonium production in heavy-ion collisions. We start by recapitulating the basic notion of "anomalous quarkonium suppression" in heavy-ion collisions and its recent amendments involving regeneration reactions. We then survey in some detail concepts and ingredients needed for a comprehensive approach to utilize heavy quarkonia as a probe of hot and dense matter. The theoretical discussion encompasses recent lattice QCD computations of quarkonium properties in the Quark-Gluon Plasma, their interpretations using effective potential models, inelastic rate calculations and insights from analyses of electromagnetic plasmas. We illustrate the powerful techniques of thermodynamic Green functions (T-matrices) to provide a general framework for implementing microscopic properties of heavy quarkonia into a kinetic theory of suppression and regeneration reactions. The theoretical concepts are tested in applications to heavy-ion reactions at SPS, RHIC and LHC. We outline perspectives for future experiments on charmonium and bottomonium production in heavy-ion collisions over a large range in energy (FAIR, RHIC-II and LHC). These are expected to provide key insights into hadronic matter under extreme conditions using quarkonium observables.
The charmonium (bottomonim) binding at finite temperature is studied with static potentials extracted from the lattice QCD data of Kaczmarek et al. The bottomonium spectrum is also studied. This is relevant for Hard Probes in Heavy Ion Collisions.
Many new states in the charmonium and bottomonium mass region were recently discovered by the BaBar, Belle and CDF Collaborations. We use the QCD Sum Rule approach to study the possible structure of some of these states. In particular we identify the recently observed bottomonium-like resonance $Z_b^+(10610)$ with the first excitation of the tetraquark $X_b(1^{++})$, the analogue of the X(3872) state in the charm sector.
Axial vector $(J^{PC}=1^{++})$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses are determined via QCD Laplace sum-rules. Previous sum-rule studies in this channel did not incorporate the dimension-six gluon condensate, which has been shown to be important for $1^{--}$ and $0^{-+}$ heavy quark hybrids. An updated analysis of axial vector charmonium and bottomonium hybrids is presented, including the effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate. The axial vector charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses are predicted to be 5.13 GeV and 11.32 GeV, respectively. We discuss the implications of this result…
Hadron physics represents the study of strongly interacting matter in all its manifestations and the understanding of its properties and interactions. The interest on this field has been revitalized by the discovery of new light hadrons, charmonium- and bottomonium-like states. I review the most recent experimental results from different experiments.
Masses of the pseudoscalar $(J^{PC}=0^{-+})$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrids are determined using QCD Laplace sum-rules. The effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate are included in our analysis and result in a stable sum-rule analysis, whereas previous studies of these states were unable to optimize mass predictions. The pseudoscalar charmonium hybrid is predicted to have a mass of approximately 3.8 GeV and the corresponding bottomonium prediction is 10.6 GeV. Calculating the full correlation function, rather than only the imaginary part, is shown to be necessary for accurate formulat…
The charmonium and bottomonium spectra computed from a potential defined from a single gauge configuration, obtained from solving the classical field equations, is discussed. The theoretical spectra shows good agreement with the measured states. A discussion of possible interpretations, within the same non-relativistic potential model, for the new charmonia states X(3872), $χ_{c1} (2P)$ and Y(4260) is performed. In particular, we give predictions for electromagnetic E1 transitions for various scenarios.

With an extended quark pair creation model we systematically study the OZI-allowed three body open flavor decays of higher vector charmonium and bottomonium states. We obtain that the $BB^*π$ and $B^*B^*π$ partial decay widths of $Υ(10860)$ are consistent with experiment, and the corresponding partial decay widths of $Υ(11020)$ can reach up to 2$\sim$3 MeV. Meanwhile the partial widths of $DD^*π$ and $D^*D^*π$ modes for most higher vector charmonium states can reach up to several MeV.
We extend the formalism based on perturbative QCD that was developed in our previous work, and compute the hyperfine splittings of the bottomonium spectrum as well as the fine and hyperfine splittings of the charmonium spectrum. All the corrections up to O(alpha_s^5 m) are included in the computations. We find agreement (with respect to theoretical uncertainties) with the experimental values whenever available and give predictions for not yet observed splittings.
The production cross sections of $J/ψ~η_b$, $Υ\;η_c$ pairs in a single boson $e^+e^-$ annihilation have been studied in a wide range of energies, which will be achieved at future $e^+e^-$ colliders. The main color singlet contributions to the production processes are taken into account, including the one loop QCD contribution.
Rare decay process of the Higgs boson into a pair of $J/Ψ$ and $Υ$ particles is studied within perturbative Standard Model and relativistic quark model. The relativistic corrections connected with the relative motion of quarks are calculated in the production amplitude and the wave functions of the bound states. Numerical values of the decay widths of the Higgs boson are obtained, which can be used for comparison with experimental data.
We propose the study of unpolarized transverse momentum dependent gluon parton distributions as well as the effect of linearly polarized gluons on transverse momentum and rapidity distributions of $J/ψ$ and $Υ$ production within the framework of transverse momentum dependent factorization employing color evaporation model (CEM) in unpolarized proton-proton collision. We estimate the transverse momentum and rapidity distributions of $J/ψ$ and $Υ$ at LHCb, RHIC and AFTER energies using TMD evolution formalism.
We study the possibility to probe the unpolarized and linearly polarized transverse momentum- dependent gluon distributions in unpolarized pp collision in charmonium and bottomonium produc- tion, employing non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) based color octet model within transverse momentum dependent (TMD) factorization framework. The transverse momentum (p T ) and rapidity distributions of J/ψ and Υ(1S) at LHCb, RHIC and AFTER energies are estimated. Significant modulations in transverse momentum spectrum of quarkonium in the low p T region is obtained when contributions of linearly polarized gluon…
Two-photon annihilation rates of $2^+$ tensor charmonium and bottomonium up to third radial excited states are estimated in the relativistic Salpeter method. Full Salpeter equation for $2^+$ tensor state is solved with a well defined relativistic wave function and we calculated the annihilation amplitude using the Mandelstam formalism. Our estimates of the decay widths are: $Γ(χ_{c2} \to 2γ)=501$ eV, $Γ(χ'_{c2} \to 2γ)=534$ eV, $Γ(χ_{b2} \to 2γ)=7.4$ eV and $Γ(χ'_{b2} \to 2γ)=7.7$ eV. We also give total decay widths of the lowest states estimated by the two-gluon decay rates, and the results a…
Pion exchange in S-wave between hadrons that are themselves in a relative S-wave is shown to shift energies by hundreds of MeV, leading to deeply bound quasi-molecular states. In the case of charmed mesons $D^*,D_1$ a spectroscopy arises consistent with enigmatic charmonium states observed above 4 GeV in $e^+e^-$ annihilation. A possible explanation of $Y(4260)\to ψππ$ and $Y(4360) \to ψ'ππ$ is found. We give results for all isospin and charge-conjugation combinations, and comment on flavor exotic doubly charmed states and bottomonium analogs. A search in $D\bar{D}3π$ is recommended to test th…
In the present work, we study the OZI-allowed three body open flavor decay properties of higher vector charmonium and bottomonium states with an extended quark pair creation model. For the bottomonium system, we get that (i) the $BBπ$ and $B^*B^*π$ partial decay widths of the $Υ(5S)$ state are consistent with the experiment, and the $BB^*π$ partial decay width of the $Υ(5S)$ state is smaller but very close to the Belle's experiment. Meanwhile, (ii) the $BB^*π$ and $B^*B^*π$ decay widths of $Υ(11020)$ can reachs $2\sim3$ MeV. In addition, (iii) for the most of higher vector charmonium states, t…
In this paper we propose a particular description of meson spectroscopy, with emphasis in heavy bound states like charmonia and bottomonia, after working on the main aspects of the construction of an effective potential model. We use the prerogatives from ``soft QCD'' to determine the effective potential terms, establishing the asymptotic Coulomb term from one gluon exchange approximation. At the same time, a linear confinement term is introduced in agreement with QCD and phenomenological prescription. The main aspect of this work is the simplification in the calculation, consequence of a prec…
In this article, we investigate the structures of the pseudoscalar charmonium and bottomonium in the framework of the coupled rainbow Schwinger-Dyson equation and ladder Bethe-Salpeter equation with the confining effective potential (infrared modified flat bottom potential). As the current masses are very large, the dressing or renormalization for the $c$ and $b$ quarks are tender, however, mass poles in the timelike region are absent. The Euclidean time fourier transformed quark propagator has no mass poles in the timelike region which naturally implements confinement. The Bethe-Salpeter wave…
The Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB energy-asymmetric $e^+e^-$ collider is an upgrade of the B factory facility at KEK in Tsukuba, Japan. The experiment began operation in 2019 and aims to record a factor of 50 times more data than its predecessor. Belle II is uniquely capable of studying the so-called "XYZ" particles: heavy exotic hadrons consisting of more than three quarks. First discovered by Belle, these now number in the dozens, and represent the emergence of a new category within quantum chromodynamics. We present recent results obtained from Belle II data, and the future prospects…
Inclusive production of $ΥJ/ψ$ pair in proton-proton interation at LHCb is considered. This process is forbidden at leading order of perturbation theory, so such channels as double parton scattering, $χ_bχ_c$ pair production with subsequent radiative decays of $P$-wave quarkonia, contributions of color-octet states, and NLO corrections are studied in details. For all these channels we present theoretical predictions of total cross sections at LHCb and distributions over different kinematical variables. According to presented in the paper results, double parton interaction gives main contributi…
Using a sample of 158 million $Υ(2S)$ events collected with the Belle detector, we search for the first time for double charmonium decays of the $P$-wave spin-triplet bottomonium states ($Υ(2S) \to γχ_{bJ}$, $χ_{bJ} \to \jpsi \jpsi$, $\jpsi \psp$, $\psp \psp$ for J=0, 1, and 2). No significant $χ_{bJ}$ signal is observed in the double charmonium mass spectra, and we obtain the following upper limits, $\BR(χ_{bJ} \to \jpsi \jpsi)<7.1\times 10^{-5}$, $2.7\times 10^{-5}$, $4.5\times 10^{-5}$, $\BR(χ_{bJ} \to \jpsi \psp)<1.2\times 10^{-4}$, $1.7\times 10^{-5}$, $4.9\times 10^{-5}$, $\BR(χ_{bJ} \to…
We study the production of $C=+$ charmonium states $X$ in $e^+e^-\to γ+ X$ at B factories with $X=η_c(nS)$ (n=1,2,3), $χ_{cJ}(mP)$ (m=1,2), and $^1D_2(1D)$. In the S and P wave case, contributions of tree-QED with one-loop QCD corrections are calculated within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD(NRQCD) and in the D-wave case only the tree-QED contribution are considered. We find that in most cases the QCD corrections are negative and moderate, in contrast to the case of double charmonium production $e^+e^-\to J/ψ+ X$, where QCD corrections are positive and large in most cases. We also find th…
We study the mass splittings of $Q_1q_2\bar{Q}_3\bar{q}_4$ ($Q=c,b$, $q=u,d,s$) tetraquark states with chromomagnetic interactions between their quark components. Assuming that $X(4140)$ is the lowest $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark, we estimate the masses of the other tetraquark states. From the obtained masses and defined measure reflecting effective quark interactions, we find the following assignments for several exotic states: (1) both $X(3860)$ and the newly observed $Z_c(4100)$ seem to be $0^{++}$ $cn\bar{c}\bar{n}$ tetraquarks; (2) $Z_c(4200)$ is probably a $1^{+-}$ $cn\b…
In this paper we report our results on quarkonium spectral functions in the vector channel obtained from quenched lattice QCD simulations at $T\in[0.75, 2.25]~T_c$. The calculations have been performed on very large and fine isotropic lattices where both charm and bottom quarks can be treated relativistically. The spectral functions are reconstructed using the Maximum Entropy Method. We study the dissociation of quarkonium states from the temperature dependence of the spectral functions and estimate heavy quark diffusion coefficients using the low-frequency behavior of the vector spectral func…
In this work we calculate the mass spectrum, weak decay constants, two photon decay widths, and two gluon decay widths of ground (1S), and radially excited (2S,3S,...) states of pseudoscalar charmoniuum and bottomonium such as $η_{c}$ and $η_{b}$, as well as the mass spectrum and leptonic decay constants of ground state (1S), excited (2S,1D,3S,2D,4S,and 3D) states of vector charmonium and bottomonium such as $J/ψ$, and $Υ$, using the formulation of Bethe-Salpeter equation under covariant Instantaneous Ansatz (CIA). Our results are in good agreement with data (where ever available) and other mo…
Recently it has been put forward that linearly polarized gluons inside unpolarized protons affect the transverse momentum distribution of final state particles in hadronic collisions. They lead to a characteristic modulation of the differential cross section in Higgs production and to azimuthal asymmetries in, for instance, heavy quark pair production. Here we study the effect on charmonium and bottomonium production in hadronic collisions, such as at LHCb and at the proposed fixed target experiment AFTER at LHC. We focus mainly on the scalar and pseudoscalar quarkonia, eta_c, chi_{c0}, eta_b,…
We calculate the masses and leptonic decay constants of the heavy vector quarkonia, $J/ψ$ and $Υ$ mesons at finite temperature. In particular, considering the thermal spectral density as well as additional operators coming up at finite temperature, the thermal QCD sum rules are acquired. Our numerical calculations demonstrate that the masses and decay constants are insensitive to the variation of temperature up to $T\cong 100 ~MeV$, however after this point, they start to fall altering the temperature. At deconfinement temperature, the decay constants attain roughly to 45% of their vacuum valu…
The $1^1D_2 (c\bar c)$ state is the ground state of spin-singlet D-wave charmonia. Although it has not been found yet, the experimental data accumulate rapidly. This charmonium attracts more and more attention, especially when the BaBar Collaboration finds that the X(3872) particle has negative parity. In this paper we calculate the double-gamma and double-gluon annihilation processes of $^1D_2$ charmonia and bottomonia by using the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter method. We find the relativistic corrections make the decay widths of $1^1D_2 (c\bar c)$ 2$\sim$5 times smaller than the non-relativis…
In this work we study the radiative decay widths of vector quarkonia for the process of $J/ψ(nS)\rightarrowη_{c}(nS)γ$ and $Υ(nS)\rightarrowη_{b}(nS)γ$ (for principal quantum numbers $n=1, 2, 3$) in the framework of Bethe-Salpeter equation under the covariant instantaneous ansatz using a $4\times 4$ form of BSE. The parameters of the framework were determined by a fit to the mass spectrum of ground states of pseudoscalar and vector quarkonia, such as; $η_{c}$, $η_{b}$, $J/ψ$ and $Υ$. These input parameters so fixed were found to give good agreements with data on mass spectra of ground and exci…
In the past decade, many new charmonium (or charmonium-like) and bottomonium (or bottomonium-like) states were observed experimentally. I will review these XYZ states which do not fit into the quark model spectrum easily.
In this work, we extended our statistical model with charmed and bottomed hadrons, and fit the quark creational probabilities for the heavy quarks, using low energy inclusive charmonium and bottomonium data. With the finalized fit for all the relevant types of quarks (up, down, strange, charm, bottom) at the energy range from a few GeV up to a few tens of GeV's, the model is now considered complete. Some examples are also given for proton-proton, pion-proton, and proton-antiproton collisions with charmonium, bottomonium, and open charm hadrons in the final state.
Within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, we calculate the next-to-leading-order (NLO) perturbative corrections to the radiative decay $Υ\to η_c(χ_{cJ})+γ$. Both the helicity amplitudes and the helicity decay widths are obtained. It is the first computation for the processes involving both bottomonium and charmonium at two-loop accuracy. By employing the Cheng-Wu theorem, we are able to convert most of complex-valued master integrals (MIs) into real-valued MIs, which makes the numerical integration much efficient. Our results indicate the $\mathcal{O}(α_s)$ corrections…
Motivated by very recent measurement of the radiative decays of $Υ(1S)$ to $χ_{c1}$ at Belle, we use the nonrelativistic QCD factorization theory and calculate the branching fractions of the radiative decays of bottomonium into S-wave and P-wave charmonium, i.e. $Υ(nS) \to η_c(nS)+γ$ and $Υ(nS)\to χ_{cJ}+γ$. We systematically studied the branching fractions of the radiative decays of bottomonium into charmonium. Compared to the previous calculation, we obtained the analytical expression for the decay widths and considered the color-octet contributions. For $Υ(nS) \to η_c(nS)+γ$, the relativist…
We extend our previous study of the vector charmonium states within a renormalization approach with boundary conditions to the full spectrum of charmonium and bottomonium. On the light of the predicted spectrum we comply to assignments suggested in the literature. A comparison with the regularized quark model is also included.
A generalized Cho-Faddeev-Niemi ansatz for SU(3) Yang-Mills is investigated. The corresponding classical field equations are solved for its simplest parametrization. From these solutions it is possible to define a confining central non-relativistic potential used to study heavy quarkonia. The associated spectra reproduces the experimental spectra with an error of less than 3% for charmonium and 1% for bottomonium. Moreover, the recently discovered new charmonium states can be accomodate in the spectra, keeping the same level of precision. The leptonic width show good agreement with the recent …
We construct charmonium-like and bottomonium-like molecular interpolating currents with quantum numbers J(PC)=1(+-) in a systematic way, including both color singlet-singlet and color octet-octet structures. Using these interpolating currents, we calculate two-point correlation functions and perform QCD sum rule analyses to obtain mass spectra of the charmonium-like and bottomonium-like molecular states. Masses of the charmonium-like q_bar c c_bar q molecular states for these various currents are extracted in the range 3.85-4.22 GeV, which are in good agreement with observed masses of the Zc r…
We estimate bottomonium yields in relativistic heavy-ion collisions using a lattice QCD vetted, complex-valued, heavy-quark potential embedded in a realistic, hydrodynamically evolving medium background. We find that the lattice-vetted functional form and temperature dependence of the proper heavy-quark potential dramatically reduces the dependence of the yields on parameters other than the temperature evolution, strengthening the picture of bottomonium as QGP thermometer. Our results also show improved agreement between computed yields and experimental data produced in RHIC 200 GeV/nucleon co…
The masses of $1^{--}$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrids are evaluated in terms of QCD sum rules. We find that the ground state hybrid in charm sector lies in $m_{H_c}=4.12\sim 4.79$ GeV, while in bottom sector the hybrid may situated in $m_{H_b} = 10.24\sim 11.15$ GeV. Since the numerical result on charmonium hybrid mass is not compatible with the charmonium spectra, including structures newly observed in experiment, we tempt to conclude that such a hybrid does not purely exist, but rather as an admixture with other states, like glueball and regular quarkonium, in experimental observation. H…
We use QCD sum-rules to predict ground state masses for pseudoscalar ($J^{PC}=0^{-+}$) charmonium and bottomonium hybrids. We find that the inclusion of a six-dimensional gluon condensate contribution is needed to stabilize the analyses. For the charmonium hybrid, we find a mass of $(3.82\pm0.13)$ GeV; for the bottomonium hybrid, we find a mass of $(10.64\pm0.19)$ GeV. We comment on possible phenomenological implications concerning the Y(3940).
In this work an improved potential model for quarkonium spectra (charmonium, bottomonium) is constructed. Beside the one-gluon exchange and a linear confinement potential, the model includes systematically effects from two-gluon exchange and the induced interaction (i.e. t-channel exchanges of quark-antiquark bound states). These turn out to be important in order to reproduce correctly the fine- and hyperfine structure of the charmonium and bottomonium states. It is demonstrated that such a satisfactory description of the quarkonium spectra can be obtained with parameters (quark masses, strong…
We study bottomonium production in heavy-ion collisions using a transport model which utilizes kinetic-rate and Boltzmann equations to calculate the energy, centrality and transverse-momentum ($p_T$) dependence of the yields. Both gluo-dissociation and inelastic parton-induced break-up including interference effects are improved over previous work by using in-medium binding energies from a thermodynamic $T$-matrix approach. A coalescence model with bottom-quark spectra from Langevin simulations is implemented to account for thermal off-equilibrium effects in the $p_T$-spectra of the regenerati…
QCD Laplace sum-rules are used to calculate axial vector $(J^{PC}=1^{++})$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrid masses. Previous sum-rule studies of axial vector heavy quark hybrids did not include the dimension-six gluon condensate, which has been shown to be important in the $1^{--}$ and $0^{-+}$ channels. An updated analysis of axial vector heavy quark hybrids is performed, including the effects of the dimension-six gluon condensate, yielding mass predictions of 5.13 GeV for hybrid charmonium and 11.32 GeV for hybrid bottomonium. The charmonium hybrid mass prediction disfavours a hybrid interp…
Some recent issues in the theory of heavy quarkonium are discussed. Many of these deal with the need to extend the description of charmonium and bottomonium states beyond the simple quark-antiquark picture. Some recent progress on radiative transitions in bottomonium is also described.
The in-medium color potential is a fundamental quantity for understanding the properties of the strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma (sQGP). Open and hidden heavy-flavor (HF) production in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions (URHICs) has been found to be a sensitive probe of this potential. Here we utilize a previously developed quarkonium transport approach in combination with insights from open HF diffusion to extract the color-singlet potential from experimental results on $Υ$ production in URHICs. Starting from a parameterized trial potential, we evaluate the $Υ$ transport parameters and…
In the medium of relativistic heavy-ion collisions, dissociation of the quarkonium and their survival have been studied to understand the properties of Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP). The coupled rates of dissociation and recombination reactions in QGP are commonly solved with the Boltzmann transport equation in which the formation and dissociation reactions compete with each other. Since the dissociation of newly formed bound-states is not accounted in the Boltzmann equation, a framework of decoupled rates is developed to assess the combined effect of gluon-induced dissociation and recombination (t…
It is suggested the modification of traditional potential model, in which nontrivial structure of inside-hadron vacuum condensate is simulated by geometric properties of inside-hadron space. Confinement of quarks is ensured by closed effective (Riemannian) space. Interquark potential represents itself Coulomb's low in the effective space (Poisson equation). In the framework of such approach the quarks dynamics completely is defined only by metric of the effective space, which in turn in conformally-Euclidean case (we consider) is defined by sole phenomenological function. Also it is supposed, …
Bottomonium and charmonium, representing quarkonia states, are scrutinized under the point of view of the information theory, in the AdS/QCD holographic setup. A logarithmic measure of information, comprised by the configurational entropy, is here employed to quantitatively study quarkonia radially excited S-wave states. The configurational entropy provides data regarding the relative dominance and the abundance of the bottomonium and charmonium states, whose underlying information is more compressed, in the Shannon's theory meaning. The derived configurational entropy, therefore, identifies t…
A kinetic-rate equation approach in a thermally expanding medium is employed to calculate the evolution of charmonium and bottomonium distributions in heavy-ion collisions. The equilibrium properties of the quarkonia are taken from in-medium spectral functions which are schematically constrained by euclidean correlators from lattice QCD. The initial conditions for the rate equation (heavy-flavor cross sections, nuclear absorption) and the thermal evolution are constrained by data as available. After fixing two free parameters to describe charmonium data at SPS and RHIC, the predictions for LHC…
We use QCD Laplace sum-rules to explore mixing between conventional mesons and hybrids in the heavy quarkonium vector $J^{PC}\!=\!1^{--}$ channel. Our cross-correlator includes perturbation theory and contributions proportional to the four-dimensional and six-dimensional gluon condensates. We input experimentally determined charmonium and bottomonium hadron masses into both single and multi-resonance models in order to test them for conventional meson and hybrid components. In the charmonium sector we find evidence for meson-hybrid mixing in the $J/ψ$ and a $\approx4.3$ GeV resonance. In the b…
Flavor-exotic tetraquark mesons have recently been observed in the heavy-quark pair sectors of QCD, including two isospin multiplets in the b b-bar sector, Z_b(10610) and Z_b(10650), and one isospin multiplet in the c c-bar sector, Z_c(3900). We identify Z_b and Z_c as tetraquark mesons that are analogs of quarkonium hybrids with the gluon field replaced by an isospin-1 excitation of the light-quark fields. Given the identification of Y(4260) and Z_c(3900) as a ground-state charmonium hybrid and tetraquark, respectively, lattice QCD calculations of the charmonium spectrum can be used to estima…
We fit the lattice QCD data of Kaczmarek et al for the free energy F1 and internal energy U1 with a class of Coulomb, constant and linear potentials, both pure and screened, matching the large distance to the short distance parts of the lattice QCD finite temperature energies. We also include the hyperfine potential in F1 and U1. We detail the bottomonium (and charmonium) binding and the melting temperatures, both for the groundstate and for the excited states, relevant for Hard Probes in Heavy Ion Collisions at LHC, where temperatures well above Tc will be reached, much higher than the temper…
