In this work, we extended our statistical model with charmed and bottomed hadrons, and fit the quark creational probabilities for the heavy quarks, using low energy inclusive charmonium and bottomonium data. With the finalized fit for all the relevant types of quarks (up, down, strange, charm, bottom) at the energy range from a few GeV up to a few tens of GeV's, the model is now considered complete. Some examples are also given for proton-proton, pion-proton, and proton-antiproton collisions with charmonium, bottomonium, and open charm hadrons in the final state.
The chiral corrections to the magnetic moments of the spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ doubly charmed baryons are systematically investigated up to next-to-next-to-leading order with heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory (HBChPT). The numerical results are calculated up to next-to-leading order: $μ_{Ξ^{++}_{cc}}=-0.25μ_{N}$, $μ_{Ξ^{+}_{cc}}=0.85μ_{N}$, $μ_{Ω^{+}_{cc}}=0.78μ_{N}$. We also calculate the magnetic moments of the other doubly heavy baryons, including the doubly bottomed baryons (bbq) and the doubly heavy baryons containing a light quark, a charm quark and a bottom quark ($\{bc\}q$ and $[bc]q$)…
We study the $D$-wave charmed baryons of $SU(3)$ flavor $\mathbf{\bar3}_F$ using the method of QCD sum rule in the framework of heavy quark effective theory (HQET). We find that the $Λ_c(2880)$, $Ξ_c(3055)$ and $Ξ_c(3080)$ can be well described by the $D$-wave $SU(3)$ $\mathbf{\bar 3}_F$ charmed baryon multiplets of $J^P=3/2^+$ and $5/2^+$, which contain two $λ$-mode orbital excitations, i.e., the $Λ_c(2880)$ has $J^P=5/2^+$, and the $Ξ_c(3055)$ and $Ξ_c(3080)$ have $J^P = 3/2^+$ and $5/2^+$, respectively. Our results also suggest that the $Λ_c(2880)$ has a partner state, the $Λ_c(3/2^+)$ of $…
We study hadronic molecular states in a coupled system of $J/ψN - Λ_c\bar{D}^{(*)} - Σ_c^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ in $I(J^P) = \frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^-)$ channel, using the complex scaling method combined with the Gaussian expansion method. We construct the potential including one pion exchange and one $D^{(*)}$ meson exchange with $S$-wave orbital angular momentum. We find that the both mass and width of the pentaquark $P_c(4380)$ can be reproduced within a reasonable parameter region, and that its main decay mode is $Λ_c\bar{D}^*$. We extend our analysis to a coupled system of $Λ_c D^{(*)} - Σ_c…

The nonleptonic decays of $Ξ_c^0$ and $Λ_c^+$ that are dominated by $W$-exchange are studied. In particular, we anlayse the decay modes $Ξ_c^0 \rightarrow Ξ^{*-} π^+, Σ^{*+}K^-, Ω^-K^+$ and $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Σ^0π^+, Ξ^0 K^+$, $Ξ^0_c\rightarrow Σ^+K^-$.
We investigate the possible deuteron-like molecules composed of a pair of charmed spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ baryons, or one charmed baryon and one charmed antibaryon within the one-boson-exchange (OBE) model. For the spin singlet and triplet systems, we consider the couple channel effect between systems with different orbital angular momentum. Most of the systems have binding solutions. The couple channel effect plays a significant role in the formation of some loosely bound states. The possible molecular states of $Ω_c^*Ω_c^*$ and $Ω_c^*\barΩ_c^*$ might be stable once produced.
The three pentaquark states, $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$, discovered by the LHCb Collaboration in 2019, can be arranged into a complete heavy quark spin symmetry multiplet of hadronic molecules of $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$. In the heavy quark mass limit, the $Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ baryons can be related to the doubly charmed tetraquark states of isospin 1, i.e., $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{(\ast)}$( $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{0}$, $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{1}$, $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{2}$), via heavy antiquark diquark symmetry, which dictates that the $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ interactions are…

We present a comparative study of the charmed baryon$-$nucleon interaction based on different theoretical approaches. For this purpose, we make use of i) a constituent quark model tuned in the light-flavor baryon$-$baryon interaction and the hadron spectra, ii) existing results in the literature based both on hadronic and quark-level descriptions, iii) (2+1)-flavor lattice QCD results of the HAL QCD Collaboration at unphysical pion masses and their effective field theory extrapolation to the physical pion mass. There is a general qualitative agreement among the different available approaches t…
We perform a systematical investigation of the possible deuteron-like bound states with configuration $Ξ_{cc}N (\bar{N})$, where $N(\bar{N})$ denotes the nucleon (anti-nucleon), in the framework of the one-boson-exchange-potential model. In the spin-triplet sector we take into account both the ${}^3S_1$ and ${}^3D_1$ channels due to non-vanishing tensor force. There exist several candidates of the loosely bound molecular states for the $Ξ_{cc}N$ and $Ξ_{cc}\bar{N}$ systems, which lie below the threshold of $Λ_cΛ_c$ or $Λ_c{\barΛ}_c$. We also investigate the possible loosely bound states with c…
In 2018 the Belle II experiment, aimed at detailed studies of B-mesons, started operation at the electron-positron collider SuperKEKB at KEK (Japan). This was preceded by a long and quite successful work of the B-factories of previous generations, including the Belle experiment for which Belle II is a successor. This experiment is unique and has no analogues or competitors in the world. The spectrum of problems it is aimed at is quite broad: from studies of hadronic states containing heavy quarks to precision measurements and searches for New Physics beyond the Standard Model. This review desc…
The excitation energy spectra of heavy baryons consisting of a heavy quark and two light quarks are investigated by using diquark models in order to examine the nature of the diquark as a constituent of single heavy baryons. We consider two diquark models; in model A the diquark is treated as a point-like particle, while it has a spatial size in model B. We determine the masses of scalar and axial vector diquarks by the mass difference of the ground state charmed baryons to the $Λ_{c}$ baryon, while the mass of the $ud$ scalar diquark in the $Λ_{c}$ baryon is assumed to be 500 MeV as a referen…
Inclusive production cross sections of the possible exotic state X(3872) in proton-proton, pionp-roton and proton-antiproton collisions are calculated using a statistical based model, which is previously used to describe inclusive charmed and bottomed hadron production cross sections in the low energy region. With the extensions made here, the model is capable to include tetraquarks as well, using the diquark picture of tetraquarks. The evaluated cross section ratio of $Ψ(2S)$ and $X(3872)$ at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV agrees well with the measured value.
Hadronic Production of S-wave and P-wave Charmed Beauty Mesons via Heavy Quark Fragmentation
We re-examine the hadronic loop effects to the masses of $D^*_0$ and $D^*_{s0}$ calculated in quark models in the framework of heavy meson chiral perturbation theory (HMCHPT). The inaccuracy in the choice of the argument of the chiral loop functions in previous works is corrected. Our calculations consider the full one-loop corrections that appear at leading order in the chiral expansion of the effective Lagrangian. Unlike previous approaches, ours leads to satisfactory results in explaining the low mass of the observed scalar charm states reported by the Particle Data Group (PDG). It is found…
K*-charmonium dissociation reactions in hadronic matter are studied in the Born approximation, in the quark-interchange mechanism, and with a temperature-dependent quark potential. We obtain the temperature dependence of unpolarized cross sections for K*-charmonium dissociation reactions which produce charmed mesons and charmed strange mesons. We use the cross sections for charmonium dissociation in collisions with pion, rho meson, kaon, vector kaon, and eta meson to calculate dissociation rates of charmonium with the five types of mesons. Because of the temperature dependence of the meson mas…
We present a detailed discussion on the doubly charmed baryon $Ξ_{cc}$ production at the RHIC and LHC via the proton-nucleus ($p$-N) and nucleus-nucleus (N-N) collision modes. The extrinsic charm mechanism via the subprocesses $g+c\to (cc)[n]+\bar{c}$ and $c+c\to (cc)[n]+g$ together with the gluon-gluon fusion mechanism via the subprocess $g+g\to(cc)[n]+\bar{c}+\bar{c}$ have been taken into consideration, where the intermediate diquark is in $[n]=[^1S_0]_{\bf 6}$-state or $[^3S_1]_{\bar{\bf 3}}$-state, respectively. Total and differential cross sections have been discussed under various collis…
We study the $S$-wave $DΞ$ bound state in the Bethe-Salpeter formalism in the ladder and instantaneous approximations. With the kernel generated by the hadronic effective Lagrangian, two open-charmed bound states, which quantum numbers are $I=0$, $J^P=(\frac{1}{2})^-$ and $I=1$, $J^P=(\frac{1}{2})^-$, respectively, are predicted as new candidates of hadronic pentaquark molecules in our formalism. If existing, they could contribute to the broad 3188 eV structure near the five new narrow $Ω_c$ states observed recently by the LHCb Collaboration.
Structure of the $(0^+,1^+)$ mesons $B_{s0}$ and $B_{s1}$, and the strong coupling constants $g_{B_{s0} B K}$ and $g_{B_{s1} B^* K}$
The mass, current coupling, and width of the doubly charmed four-quark meson $T_{cc}^{+}$ are explored by treating it as a hadronic molecule $ M_{cc}^{+}\equiv D^{0}D^{\ast +}$. The mass and current coupling of this molecule are calculated using the QCD two-point sum rule method by including into analysis contributions of various vacuum condensates up to dimension $ 10 $. The prediction for the mass $m=(4060\pm 130)~\mathrm{MeV}$ exceeds the two-meson $D^{0}D^{\ast +}$ threshold $3875.1~\mathrm{MeV}$, which makes decay of the molecule $M_{cc}^{+}$ to a pair of conventional mesons $ D^{0}D^{\as…
Two-body hadronic weak decays of the charmed baryon $Ω_c$, including Cabibbo-favored (CF), singly Cabibbo-suppressed (SCS) and doubly Cabibbo-suppressed (DCS) modes, are studied systematically in this work. To estimate nonfactorizable contributions, we work in the pole model for the $P$-wave amplitudes and current algebra for the $S$-wave amplitudes. Among all the channels decaying into a baryon octet and a pseudoscalar meson, $Ω_c\to Ξ^0\overline{K}^0$ is the only allowed CF mode. The predicted branching fraction of order $3.8\%$ and large and positive decay asymmetry of order $0.50$ indicate…
We investigate the absorption and production processes of this new state in a hadronic medium, considering the reactions $T_{cc}^+ π, T_{cc}^+ ρ\rightarrow D^{(*)} D^{(*)} $ and the corresponding inverse reactions. We use effective field Lagrangians to account for the couplings between light and heavy mesons, and give special attention to the form factors in the vertices. We calculate here for the first time the $ T_{cc}^+ - D - D^*$ form factor derived from QCD sum rules. The results are also obtained by testing widely utilized empirical form factors. The absorption cross sections are found t…
This paper serves as an update of the previous work entitled ``Heavy-Flavor-Conserving Hadronic Weak Decays of Charmed and Bottom Baryons". We make an improvement on the bag wave functions by removing the center-of-mass motion of the bag. All the baryon matrix elements are now calculated under the same framework without introducing new parameters. The matrix elements of 4-quark operators are found to be nearly twice larger than the previous ones. The calculated branching fractions of $ Ξ_c ^0 \to Λ_c ^+π^-$ and $Ξ_b^- \to Λ^0_b π^-$ are both in agreement with current experimental results. For …
Recently Belle collaboration reported new measurements for the branching fractions with the first observing two processes of $\mathcal{B}(Ξ_c^0\toΛK^0_S)$, $\mathcal{B}(Ξ_c^0\toΣ^0 K^0_S)$ and updating data for $\mathcal{B}(Ξ_c^0\toΣ^+ K^-)$. Combined with other known data on charmless two body decays of anti-triplet charmed baryons, a lot of information can be derived with the assistance of $SU(3)$ flavour symmetry. Using $SU(3)$ relations between different decay modes, we can give some predictions based on the new measurements which can be tested with the high luminosity experiments in the f…
We discuss the convergence properties of chiral expansions for the pseudoscalar and vector charmed meson masses based on the chiral SU(3) Lagrangian. Conventional expansion strategies as formulated in terms of bare meson masses are shown to suffer from poor convergence properties. This changes once the expansion is set up in terms of on-shell masses. We find a rapid convergence of the chiral expansion from vanishing quark masses up to physical values of the strange quark mass in this case. Detailed results are presented at the one-loop level for the D-meson and D^*-meson masses. It is emphasiz…
