The Knop-Sahi interpolation Macdonald polynomials are inhomogeneous and nonsymmetric generalisations of the well-known Macdonald polynomials. In this paper we apply the interpolation Macdonald polynomials to study a new type of basic hypergeometric series of type g_n. Our main results include a new q-binomial theorem, new q-Gauss sum, and several transformation formulae for g_n series.
In a preceding paper the theory of nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials taking values in modules of the Hecke algebra of type $A$ (Dunkl and Luque SLC 2012) was applied to such modules consisting of polynomials in anti-commuting variables, to define nonsymmetric Macdonald superpolynomials. These polynomials depend on two parameters $\left( q,t\right) $ and are defined by means of a Yang-Baxter graph. The present paper determines the values of a subclass of the polynomials at the special points $\left( 1,t,t^{2},\ldots\right) $ or$\left( 1,t^{-1},t^{-2},\ldots\right) $. The arguments use inductio…
Singular nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials are constructed by use of the representation theory of the Hecke algebras of the symmetric groups. These polynomials are labeled by quasistaircase partitions and are associated to special parameter values $(q,t)$. For $N$ variables, there are singular polynomials for any pair of positive integers $m$ and $n$, with $2\leq n\leq N$, and parameters values $(q,t)$ satisfying $q^{a}t^{b}=1$ exactly when $a=rm$ and $b=rn$, for some integer $r$. The coefficients of nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials with respect to the basis of monomials $\big\{ x^α\big\}$ …
There are representations of the type-A Hecke algebra on spaces of polynomials in anti-commuting variables. Luque and the author [Sém. Lothar. Combin. 66 (2012), Art. B66b, 68 pages, arXiv:1106.0875] constructed nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials taking values in arbitrary modules of the Hecke algebra. In this paper the two ideas are combined to define and study nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials taking values in the aforementioned anti-commuting polynomials, in other words, superpolynomials. The modules, their orthogonal bases and their properties are first derived. In terms of the standard Y…
The affine Hecke algebra of type $A$ has two parameters $\left( q,t\right) $ and acts on polynomials in $N$ variables. There are two important pairwise commuting sets of elements in the algebra: the Cherednik operators and the Jucys-Murphy elements whose simultaneous eigenfunctions are the nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials, and basis vectors of irreducible modules of the Hecke algebra, respectively. For certain parameter values it is possible for special polynomials to be simultaneous eigenfunctions with equal corresponding eigenvalues of both sets of operators. These are called singular poly…
We continue a program generalizing classical results from the analysis on symmetric cones to the Dunkl setting for root systems of type A. In particular, we prove a Dunkl-Laplace transform identity for Heckman-Opdam hypergeometric functions of type A and more generally, for the associated Cherednik kernel. This is achieved by analytic continuation from a Laplace transform identity for non-symmetric Jack polynomials which was stated, for the symmetric case, as a key conjecture in an unpublished manuscript of Macdonald (2013). Our proof for the Jack polynomials is based on Dunkl operator techniq…
Kajihara obtained in 2004 a remarkable transformation formula connecting multiple basic hypergeometric series associated with $A$-type root systems of different ranks. By multiple principle specialisations of his formula, we deduce kernel identities for deformed Macdonald-Ruijsenaars (MR) and Noumi-Sano (NS) operators. The deformed MR operators were introduced by Sergeev and Veselov in the first order case and by Feigin and Silantyev in the higher order cases. As applications of our kernel identities, we prove that all of these operators pairwise commute and are simultaneously diagonalised by …
