Let (E,H,mu) be an abstract Wiener space and let D_V := VD, where D denotes the Malliavin derivative and V is a closed and densely defined operator from H into another Hilbert space G. Given a bounded operator B on G, coercive on the closure of the range of V, we consider the realisation of the operator D_V* B D_V in L^p(E,mu) for 1<p<\infty. Our main result states that the following assertions are equivalent:
(1) dom((sqrt(D_V* B D_V)) = dom(D_V) and Meyer's inequalities hold for D_V* B D_V;
(2) D_V D_V* B admits a bounded H-infinity calculus on the closure of the range of D_V;
(3) dom(sqrt(V*BV)) = dom(V) and Meyer's inequalities hold for V*BV;
(4) VV*B admits a bounded H-infinity calculus on the closure of the range of V.
Moreover, if these conditions are satisfied, then dom(L) = dom(D_V^2) \cap dom(D_A). The equivalence of (1)-(4) is a non-symmetric generalisation of the classical Meyer inequalities (which correspond to the case G=H, V=I, B=I). A one-sided version of the main result, giving L^p-boundedness of the associated Riesz transforms in terms of a square function estimate, is also obtained.
As an application let -A generate an analytic C_0-contraction semigroup on a Hilbert space H and let -L be the L^p-realisation of the generator of its second quantisation. Our results imply that two-sided bounds for the Riesz transform of L are equivalent with the Kato square root property for A.
We improve our results on boundedness of the Riesz potential in the central Morrey-Orlicz spaces and the corresponding weak-type version. We also present two new properties of the central Morrey-Orlicz spaces: nontriviality and inclusion property.
Boundedness of the maximal function and the Caldeón-Zygmund singular integrals in central Morrey-Orlicz spaces were proved in papers by the second and third authors. The weak-type estimates have also been proven. Here we show boundedness of the Riesz potential in central Morrey-Orlicz spaces and the corresponding weak-type version.
In this paper, we prove the Spanne-type boundedness of the generalized Riesz potential operator from the one generalized weighted local Morrey spaces to the another one, and from the generalized weighted local Morrey spaces to the weak generalized weighted local Morrey spaces. We also prove the Adams-type boundedness of the operator from the weighted spaces to the another one, and from the weighted spaces to the weak weighted spaces.
In this article, we investigate the boundedness of the bilinear Bochner-Riesz means $S^{α}$ in the non-Banach triangle case. We improve the corresponding results in [Bern] in two aspects: Our partition of the non-Banach triangle is simpler and we obtain lower smoothness indices $α(p_{1},p_{2})$ for various cases apart from $1 \leq p_1=p_2 <2$.
Let $G = - Δ_ξ - |ξ|^2 \frac{\partial^2}{\partial η^2}$ be the Grushin operator on $\R^n \times \R.$ We prove that the Riesz transforms associated to this operator are bounded on $L^p (\R^{n+1}), 1 < p < \infty$ and their norms are independent of the dimension $n$.
This paper provides sufficient conditions for the boundedness of Weyl operators on modulation spaces. The Weyl symbols belong to Wiener amalgam spaces, or generalized modulation spaces, as recently renamed by their inventor Hans Feichtinger. This is the first result which relates symbols in Wiener amalgam spaces to operators acting on classical modulation spaces.
Let $Γ$ be a doubling graph satisfying some pointwise subgaussian estimates of the Markov kernel. We introduce a space $H^1(Γ)$ of functions and a space $H^1(T_Γ)$ of 1-forms and give various characterizations of them. We prove the $H^1$-boundedness of the Riesz transform, from which we deduce the $L^p$ boundedness of the Riesz transform for any $p\in (1,2)$. In a previous work, we showed a $H^1_w$-boundedness of the Riesz transform under weaker assumptions, but the $L^p$ boundedness was not established.
We give a simple proof of L^p boundedness of iterated commutators of Riesz transforms and a product BMO function. We use a representation of the Riesz transforms by means of simple dyadic operators - dyadic shifts - which in turn reduces the estimate quickly to paraproduct estimates.
In this paper we introduce generalized grand Morrey spaces in the framework of quasimetric measure spaces, in the spirit of the so-called grand Lebesgue spaces. We prove a kind of reduction lemma which is applicable to a variety of operators to reduce their boundedness in generalized grand Morrey spaces to the corresponding boundedness in Morrey spaces, as a result of this application, we obtain the boundedness of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator as well as the boundedness of Calderón-Zygmund potential type operators. Boundedness of Riesz type potential operators are also obtained in the …
We establish various $L^{p}$ estimates for the Schrödinger operator $-Δ+V$ on Riemannian manifolds satisfying the doubling property and a Poincaré inequality, where $Δ$ is the Laplace-Beltrami operator and $V$ belongs to a reverse Hölder class. At the end of this paper we apply our result on Lie groups with polynomial growth.
In this paper, we investigate the $L^{p}$-boundedness of the Riesz means and the $L^{p_{1}}\times L^{p_{2}}\rightarrow L^{p}$ boundedness of the bilinear Riesz means on Métivier groups. Métivier groups are generalization of Heisenberg groups and general H-type groups. Because general Métivier groups only satisfy the non-degeneracy condition and have high-dimensional centre, we have to use different methods and techniques from those on Heisenberg groups and H-type groups.
By using an $H^{\infty}$ joint functional calculus for strongly commuting operators, we derive a scheme to deduce the $L^p$ boundedness of certain $d$-dimensional Riesz transforms from the $L^p$ boundedness of appropriate one-dimensional Riesz transforms. Moreover, the $L^p$ bounds we obtain are independent of the dimension. The scheme is applied to Riesz transforms connected with orthogonal expansions and discrete Riesz transforms on products of groups with polynomial growth.
Given a sequence of complete Riemannian manifolds $(M_n)$ of the same dimension, we construct a complete Riemannian manifold $M$ such that for all $p \in (1,\infty)$ the $L^p$-norm of the Riesz transform on $M$ dominates the $L^p$-norm of the Riesz transform on $M_n$ for all $n$. Thus we establish the following dichotomy: given $p$ and $d$, either there is a uniform $L^p$ bound on the Riesz transform over all complete $d$-dimensional Riemannian manifolds, or there exists a complete Riemannian manifold with Riesz transform unbounded on $L^p$.
We consider generalized Orlicz-Morrey spaces $M_{Φ,φ}(\Rn)$ including their weak versions $WM_{Φ,φ}(\Rn)$. In these spaces we prove the boundedness of the Riesz potential from $M_{Φ,φ_1}(\Rn)$ to $M_{Ψ,φ_2}(\Rn)$ and from $M_{Φ,φ_1}(\Rn)$ to $WM_{Ψ,φ_2}(\Rn)$. As applications of those results, the boundedness of the commutators of the Riesz potential on generalized Orlicz-Morrey space is also obtained. In all the cases the conditions for the boundedness are given either in terms of Zygmund-type integral inequalities on $(φ_{1},φ_{2})$, which do not assume any assumption on monotonicity of $φ_{…
We study several problems related to the $\ell^p$ boundedness of Riesz transforms for graphs endowed with so-called bounded Laplacians. Introducing a proper notion of gradient of functions on edges, we prove for $p\in(1,2]$ an $\ell^p$ estimate for the gradient of the continuous time heat semigroup, an $\ell^p$ interpolation inequality as well as the $\ell^p$ boundedness of the modified Littlewood-Paley-Stein functions for all graphs with bounded Laplacians. This yields an analogue to Dungey's results in [Dungey08] while removing some additional assumptions. Coming back to the classical notion…
We analyse Morrey spaces, generalised Morrey spaces and Campanato spaces on homogeneous groups. The boundedness of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator, Bessel-Riesz operators, generalised Bessel-Riesz operators and generalised fractional integral operators in generalised Morrey spaces on homogeneous groups is shown. Moreover, we prove the boundedness of the modified version of the generalised fractional integral operator and Olsen type inequalities in Campanato spaces and generalised Morrey spaces on homogeneous groups, respectively. Our results extend results known in the isotropic Euclidea…
The aim of this paper is to obtain boundedness conditions for the maximal function Mf and to prove the necessary and sufficient conditions for the fractional maximal oparator Ma in the Lorentz Morrey spaces which are a new class of functions. We get our main results by using the obtained sharp rearrangement estimates. The obtained results are applied to the boundedness of particular operators such as the Bochner Riesz operator and the Schrodinger type operators in the Lorentz Morrey spaces, where the nonnegative potential V belongs to the reverse Holder class.
We provide the conditions for the boundedness of the Bochner-Riesz operator acting between two different Grand Lebesgue Spaces. Moreover we obtain a lower estimate for the constant appearing in the Lebesgue-Riesz norm estimation of the Bochner-Riesz operator and we investigate the convergence of the Bochner-Riesz approximation in Lebesgue-Riesz spaces.
Let $\M$ be a smooth connected non-compact manifold endowed with a smooth measure $μ$ and a smooth locally subelliptic diffusion operator $L$ satisfying $L1=0$, and which is symmetric with respect to $μ$. We show that if $L$ satisfies, with a non negative curvature parameter $ρ_1$, the generalized curvature inequality in \eqref{CD} below, then the Riesz transform is bounded in $L^p (\bM)$ for every $p>1$, that is \[\| \sqrt{Γ((-L)^{-1/2}f)}\|_p \le C_p \| f \|_p, \quad f \in C^\infty_0(\bM), \] where $Γ$ is the \textit{carré du champ} associated to $L$. Our results apply in particular to all S…
The ergodic theorems of Hopf, Wiener and Birkhoff were extended to the context of Riesz spaces with a weak order unit and conditional expectation operator by Kuo, Labuschagne and Watson in [Ergodic Theory and the Strong Law of Large Numbers on Riesz Spaces. Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 325,(2007), 422-437.]. However, the precise concept of what constitutes ergodicity in Riesz spaces was not considered. In this short paper we fill in this omission and give some explanations of the choices made. In addition, we consider the interplay between mixing and ergodicity in the Rie…
In this short article we introduce so-called anisotropic (weight) Grand Lebesgue Spaces (more exactly, Grand Lebesgue-Riesz Spaces), which are generalization of the classical Lebesgue-Riesz Spaces and ordinary Grand Lebesgue Spaces, and investigate the boundedness of weight Riesz potential and weight Fourier transforms in this spaces.
We prove pointwise estimates to the modified Riesz potential. We show the boundedness of its Luxemburg norm. As an application we obtain Orlicz embedding results. We study the sharpness of the results.
In this note we prove various sharp boundedness results on suitable Hardy type spaces for Riesz transforms of arbitrary order on noncompact symmetric spaces of arbitrary rank.
We characterise higher order Riesz transforms on the Heisenberg group and also show that they satisfy dimension-free bounds under some assumptions on the multipliers. Using transfer- ence theorems, we deduce boundedness theorems for Riesz trans- forms on the reduced Heisenberg group and hence also for the Riesz transforms associated to multiple Hermite and Laguerre ex- pansions.
Let $L_1$ be a nonnegative self-adjoint operator in $L^2({\mathbb R}^n)$ satisfying the Davies-Gaffney estimates and $L_2$ a second order divergence form elliptic operator with complex bounded measurable coefficients. A typical example of $L_1$ is the Schrödinger operator $-Δ+V$, where $Δ$ is the Laplace operator on ${\mathbb R}^n$ and $0\le V\in L^1_{\mathop\mathrm{loc}} ({\mathbb R}^n)$. Let $H^p_{L_i}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ be the Hardy space associated to $L_i$ for $i\in\{1,\,2\}$. In this paper, the authors prove that the Riesz transform $D (L_i^{-1/2})$ is bounded from $H^p_{L_i}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ …
In this paper we establish $L^p$-boundedness properties for variation, oscillation and jump operators associated with Riesz transforms and Poisson semigroups related to Laguerre polynomial expansions.
This paper is devoted to give several characterizations on a more general level for the boundedness of $τ$-Wigner distributions acting from weighted modulation spaces to weighted modulation and Wiener amalgam spaces. As applications, sharp exponents are obtained for the boundedness of $τ$-Wigner distributions on modulation spaces with power weights. We also recapture the main theorems of Wigner distribution obtained in \cite{CorderoNicola2018IMRNI,Cordero2020a}. As consequences, the characterizations of the boundedness on weighted modulation spaces of several types of pseudodifferential operat…
Let $Γ$ be a graph with the doubling property for the volume of balls and $P$ a reversible random walk on $Γ$. We introduce $H^1$ Hardy spaces of functions and $1$-forms adapted to $P$ and prove various characterizations of these spaces. We also characterize the dual space of $H^1$ as a $BMO$-type space adapted to $P$. As an application, we establish $H^1$-$H^1$ and $H^1$-$L^1$ boundedness of the Riesz transform.
Let $t\in(0,\infty)$, $p\in(1,\infty)$, $q\in[1,\infty]$, $w\in A_p$ and $v\in A_q$. We introduce the weighted amalgam space $(L^p,L^q)_t(\mathbb R^n)$ and show some properties of it. Some estimates on these spaces for the classical operators in harmonic analysis, such as the Hardy--Littlewood maximal operator, the Calderón--Zygmund operator, the Riesz potential, singular integral operators with the rough kernel, the Marcinkiewicz integral, the Bochner-Riesz operator, the Littlewood-Paley $g$ function and the intrinsic square function, are considered. Our main method is extrapolation. We obtai…
In this paper we introduce a new atomic Hardy space $X^1(γ)$ adapted to the Gauss measure $γ$, and prove the boundedness of the first order Riesz transform associated with the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator from $X^1(γ)$ to $L^1(γ)$. We also provide a new, short and almost self-contained proof of its weak-type $(1,1)$.
This paper proves the $L^p$ boundedness of generalized first order Riesz transforms obtained as conditional expectations of martingale transforms à la Gundy-Varopoulos for quite general diffusions on manifolds and vector bundles. Several specific examples and applications are presented: Lie groups of compact type, the Heisenberg group, SU(2), and Riesz transforms on forms and spinors.
We study the boundedness of Riesz transforms in $L^p$ for $p>2$ on a doubling metric measure space endowed with a gradient operator and an injective, $ω$-accretive operator $L$ satisfying Davies-Gaffney estimates. If $L$ is non-negative self-adjoint, we show that under a reverse Hölder inequality, the Riesz transform is always bounded on $L^p$ for $p$ in some interval $[2,2+\varepsilon)$, and that $L^p$ gradient estimates for the semigroup imply boundedness of the Riesz transform in $L^q$ for $q \in [2,p)$. This improves results of \cite{ACDH} and \cite{AC}, where the stronger assumption of a …
We prove the equivalence of two different types of capacities in abstract Wiener spaces. This yields a criterion for the $L^p$-uniqueness of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator and its integer powers defined on suitable algebras of functions vanishing in a neighborhood of a given closed set $Σ$ of zero Gaussian measure. To prove the equivalence we show the $W^{r,p}(B,μ)$-boundedness of certain smooth nonlinear truncation operators acting on potentials of nonnegative functions. We also give connections to Gaussian Hausdorff measures. Roughly speaking, if $L^p$-uniqueness holds then the 'removed' se…
Let $G = N \rtimes A$, where $N$ is a stratified group and $A = \mathbb{R}$ acts on $N$ via automorphic dilations. Homogeneous sub-Laplacians on $N$ and $A$ can be lifted to left-invariant operators on $G$ and their sum is a sub-Laplacian $Δ$ on $G$. Here we prove weak type $(1,1)$, $L^p$-boundedness for $p \in (1,2]$ and $H^1 \to L^1$ boundedness of the Riesz transforms $Y Δ^{-1/2}$ and $Y Δ^{-1} Z$, where $Y$ and $Z$ are any horizontal left-invariant vector fields on $G$, as well as the corresponding dual boundedness results. At the crux of the argument are large-time bounds for spatial deri…
We show that a semibounded Wiener-Hopf quadratic form is closable in the space $L^2({\Bbb R}_{+})$ if and only if its integral kernel is the Fourier transform of an absolutely continuous measure. This allows us to define semibounded Wiener-Hopf operators and their symbols under minimal assumptions on their integral kernels. Our proof relies on a continuous analogue of the Riesz Brothers theorem obtained in the paper.
In this paper, we will give some results on the support of Dunkl translations on compactly supported functions. Then we will define Dunkl-type $BMO$ space and Riesz transforms for Dunkl transform on $L^\infty$, and prove the boundedness of Riesz transforms from $L^\infty$ to Dunkl-type $BMO$ space under the uniform boundedness assumption of Dunkl translations. The proof and the definition in Dunkl setting will be harder than in the classical case for the lack of some similar properties of Dunkl translations to that of classical translations. We will also extend the preciseness of the descripti…

We give pointwise upper estimate for the gradient of the heat kernel on some fractal-like cable systems including the Vicsek and the Sierpiński cable systems. Applications to $L^p$-boundedness of quasi-Riesz transforms are derived.
In this paper, we develop a thorough analysis of the boundedness properties of the maximal operator for the Bochner-Riesz means related to the Fourier-Bessel expansions. For this operator, we study weighted and unweighted inequalities in the spaces L^p((0,1),x^{2ν+1}dx). Moreover, weak and restricted weak type inequalities are obtained for the critical values of p. As a consequence, we deduce the almost everywhere pointwise convergence of these means.
We study the action of operators on tent spaces such as maximal operators, Calder{ó}n-Zygmund operators, Riesz potentials. We also consider singular non-integral operators. We obtain boundedness as an application of extrapolation methods in the Banach range. In the non Banach range, boundedness results for Calder{ó}n-Zygmund operators follows by using an appropriate atomic theory. We end with some consequences on amalgalm spaces.
