Within the Standard Model, we investigate the weak decays of $Λ_b \to Λ+ γ$ and $Λ_b \to Λ+ l^{+} l^{-}$ with the light-cone sum rules approach. The higher twist distribution amplitudes of $Λ$ baryon to the leading conformal spin are included in the sum rules for transition form factors. Our results indicate that the higher twist distribution amplitudes almost have no influences on the transition form factors retaining the heavy quark spin symmetry, while such corrections can result in significant impacts on the form factors breaking the heavy quark spin symmetry. Two phenomenological models (COZ and FZOZ) for the wave function of $Λ$ baryon are also employed in the sum rules for a comparison, which can give rise to the form factors approximately 5 times larger than that in terms of conformal expansion. Utilizing the form factors calculated in LCSR, we then perform a careful study on the decay rate, polarization asymmetry and forward-backward asymmetry, with respect to the decays of $Λ_b \to Λγ$, $Λl^{+}l^{-}$.
We investigate the rare decays $B_c \rightarrow D_s(1968) \ell \bar{\ell}$ and $B_c\rightarrow D_s^*(2317) \ell \bar{\ell}$ in the framework of the light-cone quark model (LCQM). The transition form factors are calculated in the space-like region and then analytically continued to the time-like region via exponential parametrization. The branching ratios and longitudinal lepton polarization asymmetries (LPAs) for the two decays are given and compared with each other. The results are helpful to investigating the structure of $B_c$ meson and to testing the unitarity of CKM quark mixing matrix. A…
Using the light cone QCD Sum Rules Method, we study the rare B -> nu barnu gamma decay and and find that the branching ratios are, B(B_s -> nu barnu gamma) = 7.5 10^{-8}, B(B_d -> nu -> nu gamma) = 4.2 10^{-9}. A comparision of our results, on branching ratio, with constituent quark and pole dominance model predictions are presented.
We calculate the leading-twist O(alphas^2 beta0) corrections to the B to pi transition form factor f+(0) in light-cone sum rules. We find that, as expected, there is a cancellation between the O(alphas^2 beta0) corrections to fB f+(0) and the large corresponding corrections to fB, calculated in QCD sum rules. This suggests the insensitivity of the form factors calculated in the light-cone sum rules approach to this source of radiative corrections. We further obtain an improved determination of the CKM matrix element |V(ub)|, using latest results from BaBar and Belle for f+(0)|V(ub)|.
The decay width, forward-backward asymmetry and lepton longitudinal and transversal polarization for the exclusive K^* -> l^+ l^- decay in a two Higgs doublet model are computed. It is shown that all these quantities are very effective tools for establishing new physics.
We calculate the vector and axial-vector form factors of $B_{u,d,s}$ decays into P-wave axial-vector mesons in the light-cone sum rule approach. For the sum rule results, we have included corrections of order $m_A/m_b$, where $m_A$ is the mass of the axial-vector meson $A$. The results are relevant to the light-cone distribution amplitudes of the axial-vector mesons. It is important to note that, owing to the $G$-parity, the chiral-even two-parton light-cone distribution amplitudes of the $^3P_1$ ($^1P_1$) mesons are symmetric (antisymmetric) under the exchange of quark and anti-quark momentum…
We investigate the transition formfactors for the B -> K^* l^+ l^- (l = mu, tau) decay in the light cone QCD. It is found that the light cone and 3-point QCD sum rules analyses for some of the formfactors for the decay B -> K^* l^+ l^- lead to absolutely different $q^2$ dependence. The invariant dilepton mass distributions for the B -> K^* mu^+ mu^- and B -> K^* tau^+ tau^- decays and final lepton longitudinal polarization asymmetry, which includes both short and long-distance contributions, are also calculated.
We study the form factors for a heavy meson into the S-wave $Kπ/ππ$ system with an invariant mass below 1~GeV. The mesonic final state interactions are described in terms of the scalar form factors, which are obtained from unitarized chiral perturbation theory. Employing generalized light-cone distribution amplitudes, we compute the heavy-to-light transition using light-cone sum rules. Our approach simultaneously respects constraints from analyticity and unitarity, and also takes advantage of the power expansion in the $1/m_b$ and the strong coupling constant.
We present a systematic light-cone QCD sum rule study of the exclusive rare radiative decay $Λ_b\rightarrowΛγ$ and rare semileptonic decay $Λ_b\rightarrowΛl^+l^-$ within the framework of the standard model. Although some LCSR studies on these rare processes can be found in different literatures, it is necessary to reanalyze them systematically for the reason that either the baryonic distribution amplitudes are improved or different interpolating currents for the $Λ_b$ baryon may lead to quite different results. In addition, the rare process $Λ_b\rightarrowΛγ$ has not yet been analyzed by LCSR …
We compare the predictions for the form factors f_+^{D->pi,K}(0) from QCD sum rules on the light-cone with recent experimental results. We find f_+^{D->pi}(0) = 0.63\pm 0.11, f_+^{D->K}(0) = 0.75\pm 0.12 and f_+^{D->pi}(0)/f_+^{D->K}(0)= 0.84\pm 0.04 in very good agreement with experiment. Although the uncertainties of the form factors themselves are larger than the current experimental errors and difficult to reduce, their ratio is determined much more accurately and with an accuracy that matches that of experiment.
We calculate the W-exchange contribution to the $Ξ_{cc}^{++}\toΞ_{c}^{+(\prime)}π^{+}$ decay using light-cone sum rules. The two-particle light-cone distribution amplitudes of the pion are used as non-perturbative input for the sum rules calculation, and the perturbative kernel is calculated at the leading order. We obtain the corresponding decay branching fractions by combining our W-exchange amplitudes with the factorizable amplitudes given by various theoretical methods from the literature. It is shown that with the factorizable amplitudes from heavy quark effective theory, we obtain the br…
Form factors of the rare $Λ_{b}(Λ_{b}^*)\to N\ell^{+}\ell^{-}$ decays are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules by taking into account of the contributions from the negative parity baryons. Using the obtained results on the form factors, the branching ratios of the considered decays are estimated. The numerical survey for the branching ratios of the $Λ_b \rar N\ell^+\ell^- $ and $Λ_b^\ast \rar N\ell^+\ell^- $ decays indicate that these transitions could be measurable in LHCb in near future. Comparison of our predictions on the form factors and branching ratios with those …
Semileptonic decay processes of $Ξ_c \to Ξ\ellν_\ell$ are studied by light-cone QCD sum rules in this paper. The six form factors of $Ξ_c \to Ξ$ semileptonic transition matrix elements are calculated by this method with the light-cone distribution amplitudes of $Ξ$ baryon up to twist six. With the six form factors, the absolute branching ratios of $Ξ_c^0 \to Ξ^- \ell^+ ν_\ell$ and $Ξ_c^+ \to Ξ^0 \ell^+ ν_\ell$ are calculated by the helicity amplitudes formalism of semileptonic differential decay widths. The ratios of absolute branching ratios of electron and muon final states processes give th…

Using light-cone sum rule techniques, we estimate the form factors which parametrise the hadronic matrix elements that are relevant for semi-leptonic three-body proton decays. The obtained form factors allow us to determine the differential rate for the decay of a proton ($p$) into a positron ($e^+$), a neutral pion ($π^0$) and a graviton ($G$), which is the leading proton decay channel in the effective theory of gravitons and Standard Model particles (GRSMEFT). The sensitivity of existing and next-generation neutrino experiments in detecting the $p \to e^+ π^0 G$ signature is studied and the …
We study the exclusive semileptonic rare $B_c^+ \to D^+ ν\barν$ decay in the framework of light-cone quark model. The transition form factors $f_{+}(q^2)$ and $f_{T}(q^2)$ are evaluated in the time-like region using the analytic continuation method in $q^{+} = 0$ frame. The analytic solutions of these form factors are compared with the results obtained from the double pole parametric form. The branching ratio for $B_c^+ \to D^+ ν\barν$ decay is calculated and compared with the other theoretical model predictions. The predicted results in this model can be tested at the LHCb experiments in near…
In this work, we analyze the semileptonic decay processes of $Λ_b \to Λ_c$ in the light-cone sum rule approach. In order to calculate the form factors of the $Λ_b$ baryon transition matrix element, we use the light-cone distribution amplitudes of $Λ_b$ obtained from the QCD sum rule in the heavy quark effective field theory framework. With the calculation of the six form factors of the $Λ_b \to Λ_c$ transition matrix element, the differential decay widths of $Λ_b^0 \to Λ_c^+ \ell^- \overlineν_\ell (\ell = e, ~μ, ~τ)$ and their absolute branching fractions are obtained. Additionally, the ratio …
We argue that soft non-factorisable terms give a significant contribution to the baryon form factors at intermediate momentum transfers and set up a framework for the calculation of such terms in the light-cone sum rule approach. Among them, contributions of three-quark states with different helicity structure compared to the leading twist prove to be the most important. The leading-order sum rules are derived and confronted with the experimental data.

The B --> pi ell nu weak decay form factors are calculated via light-cone sum rules within the framework of the heavy quark effective theory. We calculate the leading and the relevant sub-leading universal form factors. Our results are matched to the known soft pion limit. We also address the large pion energy limit of our sum rule results. Our results are compared with that of other approaches.
In this article, we use the light-cone QCD sum rules to relate the $Λ_b$ baryon light-cone distribution amplitudes to the Isgur-Wise function $ξ(ω)$ of the $Λ_b \to Λ_c$ transition, and obtain a simple relation. The numerical value of the Isgur-Wise function $ξ(ω)$ is consistent with the prediction of the QCD sum rules.

We have analyzed the $B\to π$ and $B_{s}\to K$ semileptonic form factors and $B\to Vγ(V=K^*,ρ,ω)$ processes in the light-cone QCD sum rules. In order to enhance the predictivity and reliability of numerical results the chiral-current correlator is employed and the twist-3 light-cone wavefunction can be effectively eliminated from the sum rules.
The magnetic and quadrupole moments of the light-vector and axial-vector mesons are calculated in the light cone QCD sum rules. Our results for the static properties of these mesons are compared with the predictions of lattice QCD as well as other approaches existing in the literature.
Recently, LHCb Collaboration announced the discovery of radial excitations of $D_s$ and $B_s$ mesons. In present work, we calculate the most promising strong and electromagnetic decay widths of radially excited $D_s(2S)$ and $B_s(2S)$ mesons within the light cone QCD sum rules method.
We investigate the $a_0K^+K^-$-vertex in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules. We estimate the coupling constant g$_{a_0K^+K^-}$ which is an essential ingredient in the analysis of physical processes involving $a_0(980)$ meson. Our result is somewhat larger than the previous determinations of this coupling constant.
New sum rules for $B\to π,K $ and $B\to ρ,K^*$ form factors are derived from the correlation functions expanded near the light-cone in terms of B-meson distribution amplitudes. The contributions of quark-antiquark and quark-antiquark-gluon components in the B meson are taken into account. Models for the B-meson three-particle distribution amplitudes are suggested, based on QCD sum rules in HQET. Employing the new light-cone sum rules we calculate the form factors at small momentum transfers, including $SU(3)_{fl}$ violation effects. The results agree with the predictions of the conventional li…

We suggest a new approach for calculating heavy-to-light form factors. The method is based on light cone sum rules (LCSR) and covers the whole kinematical range of momentum transfer. The derivation of the new sum rule uses a suitable combination of double and single dispersion integrals. As an example we give numerical results for the form factor f^+ for the B -> pion transition.
We revisit the calculation of the strong couplings $D^*Dπ$ and $B^*Bπ$ from the QCD light-cone sum rules using the pion light-cone distribution amplitudes. The accuracy of the correlation function, calculated from the operator product expansion near the light-cone, is upgraded by taking into account the gluon radiative corrections to the twist-3 terms. The double spectral density of the correlation function, including the twist-2, 3 terms at ${\cal O} (α_s)$ and the twist-4 LO terms, is presented in an analytical form for the first time. This form allows us to use various versions of the quark…
In this article, we study the $B \to K^*_2(1430)$, $a_2(1320)$, $f_2(1270)$ form-factors with the light-cone QCD sum rules, where the $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitudes are used. In calculations, we observe that the line-shapes of the $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitude $ϕ_+(ω)$ have significant impacts on the values of the form-factors, and expect to obtain severe constraints on the parameters of the $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitudes from the experimental data in the future.
Strong decay constants of the heavy tensor to heavy pseudoscalar (vector) and light pseudoscalar mesons are estimated within the light cone QCD sum rules. It is obtained that the values of these coupling constants are very strongly dependent on the choice of the Lorentz structure. Moreover, using these strong coupling constants the corresponding decay widths are calculated.

In this article, we calculate the strong coupling constant $g_{ΔNπ}$ and study the strong decay $Δ^{++} \to pπ$ with the light-cone QCD sum rules. The numerical value of the strong coupling constant $g_{ΔNπ}$ is consistent with the experimental data. The small discrepancy maybe due to failure to take into account the perturbative $\mathcal {O}(α_s)$ corrections.
We predict contributions of higher $K$-resonances to the radiative rare decays $b\to sγ$, in the framework of the QCD sum rules on the light cone, which combines the traditional QCD sum rule method with the description of final state mesons in terms of the light-cone wave functions of increasing twist. Our calculations are restricted to the leading twist-two operators for $K^*(892)$ and to the asymptotic wave function for the other $K^{**}$-mesons. Using experimental data on the semileptonic $τ\to K^{**}ν_τ$ decays, we extract the corresponding decay constants for vector and axial-vector $K^{*…
