Using light-cone sum rule techniques, we estimate the form factors which parametrise the hadronic matrix elements that are relevant for semi-leptonic three-body proton decays. The obtained form factors allow us to determine the differential rate for the decay of a proton ($p$) into a positron ($e^+$), a neutral pion ($π^0$) and a graviton ($G$), which is the leading proton decay channel in the effective theory of gravitons and Standard Model particles (GRSMEFT). The sensitivity of existing and next-generation neutrino experiments in detecting the $p \to e^+ π^0 G$ signature is studied and the phenomenological implications of our computations for constraints on the effective mass scale that suppresses the relevant baryon-number violating GRSMEFT operator are discussed.
We present a phenomenology study on central exclusive production of $W^+W^-$ boson pairs in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider at 14 TeV using the forward proton detectors, such as the ATLAS Forward Proton or the CMS-TOTEM Precision Proton Spectrometer detectors. Final states where at least one of the $W$ bosons decay hadronically in a large-radius jet are considered. The latter extends previous efforts that consider solely leptonic final states. A measurement of exclusive $W^+W^-$ also allows us to further constrain anomalous quartic gauge boson interactions between photons…
In this work, we investigate the semi-leptonic weak decays of spin-1/2 doubly-heavy baryons $Ξ_{QQ^{\prime}}$ into spin-3/2 singly-heavy baryons $Σ_{Q^{\prime}}^*$ within light-cone sum rules. Using the parallel components of the light-cone distribution amplitudes of $Σ_{Q^{\prime}}^*$, the transition form factors for these decays are calculated both analytically and numerically. The numerical results for these semi-leptonic weak decays widths and branching ratios are also predicted, which are compared with the same predictions by other theoretical approaches in the literatures. These phenomen…
Analysis of the $B\to a_1(1260)$ form-factors with light-cone QCD sum rules
本文用$B$ -介子光锥QCD求和规则计算了$B\to a_1(1260)$的形状因子$V_1(q^2)$、$V_2(q^2)$、$V_3(q^2)$和$A(q^2)$。这些形状因子是研究非轻子二体衰变$B\to AP$和半轻子衰变$B\to A l ν_l$、$B\to A \bar{l}l$的基本参数。我们的数值结果与(光锥)QCD求和规则的结果一致。主要的不确定性来自于参数$ω_0$(或$λ_B$),它决定了$B$介子的二粒子和三粒子光锥分布振幅的形状,对该参数的精化具有重要意义。

Proton decay is a baryon number violating process, and hence is forbidden in the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. Baryon number violation is expected to be an important criteria to explain the matter-anti-matter asymmetry of the universe. Any detection of the proton decay will be a direct evidence of physics beyond the SM. In SMEFT, proton decay is possible via baryon number violating dimension-6 operators. In this work, we pay attention to the decay channel $p\rightarrow e^+ γ$ which is expected to be an experimentally cleaner channel due to less nuclear absorption. The gauge invarian…
The recently developed $B$-Mesogenesis scenario predicts decays of $B$ mesons into a baryon and hypothetical dark antibaryon $Ψ$. We suggest a method to calculate the amplitude of the simplest exclusive decay mode $B^+\to p Ψ$. Considering two models of $B$-Mesogenesis, we obtain the $B\to p$ hadronic matrix elements by applying QCD light-cone sum rules with the proton light-cone distribution amplitudes. We estimate the $B^+\to p Ψ$ decay width as a function of the mass and effective coupling of the dark antibaryon.
We estimate the form factors that parametrise the hadronic matrix elements of proton-to-pion transitions with the help of light-cone sum rules. These form factors are relevant for semi-leptonic proton decay channels induced by baryon-number violating dimension-six operators, as typically studied in the context of grand unified theories. We calculate the form factors in a kinematical regime where the momentum transfer from the proton to the pion is space-like and extrapolate our final results to the regime that is relevant for proton decay. In this way, we obtain estimates for the form factors …
