We investigate triangle UD ladder integrals in the position space. The investigation is necessary to find an all-order in loop solution for an auxiliary Lcc correlator in Wess-Zumino-Landau gauge of the maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory and to present correlators of dressed mean gluons in terms of it in all loops. We show that triangle UD ladder diagrams in the position space can be expressed in terms of the same UD functions Phi^(L) in terms of which they were represented in the momentum space, for an arbitrary number of rungs.
We rewrite the recently constructed q-hypergeometric integral Bailey pair in a general form. Then with the help of the Bailey pair and $q$-beta hypergeometric sum-integral, we construct the star-triangle relation.
We consider the rarefied elliptic beta integral in various limiting forms. In particular, we obtain an integral identity for parafermionic hyperbolic gamma functions which describes the star-triangle relation for parafermionic Liouville theory.
We observe a property of orthogonality of the Mellin-Barnes transformation of the triangle one-loop diagrams, which follows from our previous papers [JHEP {\bf 0808} (2008) 106, JHEP {\bf 1003} (2010) 051, JMP {\bf 51} (2010) 052304]. In those papers it has been established that Usyukina-Davydychev functions are invariant with respect to Fourier transformation. This has been proved at the level of graphs and also via the Mellin-Barnes transformation. We partially apply to one-loop massless scalar diagram the same trick in which the Mellin-Barnes transformation was involved and obtain the prope…
The aim of the present paper is to consider the hyperbolic limit of an elliptic hypergeometric sum/integral identity, and associated lattice model of statistical mechanics previously obtained by the second author. The hyperbolic sum/integral identity obtained from this limit, has two important physical applications in the context of the so-called gauge/YBE correspondence. For statistical mechanics, this identity is equivalent to a new solution of the star-triangle relation form of the Yang-Baxter equation, that directly generalises the Faddeev-Volkov models to the case of discrete and continuo…
We study the three-dimensional lens partition function for $\mathcal N=2$ supersymmetric gauge dual theories on $S^3/\mathbb{Z}_r$ by using the gauge/YBE correspondence. This correspondence relates supersymmetric gauge theories to exactly solvable models of statistical mechanics. The equality of partition functions for the three-dimensional supersymmetric dual theories can be written as an integral identity for hyperbolic hypergeometric functions. We obtain such an integral identity which can be written as the star-triangle relation for Ising type integrable models and as the integral pentagon…
We study the most general triangle diagram through the Symmetries of Feynman Integrals (SFI) approach. The SFI equation system is obtained and presented in a simple basis. The system is solved providing a novel derivation of an essentially known expression. We stress a description of the underlying geometry in terms of the Distance Geometry of a tetrahedron discussed by Davydychev-Delbourgo [1], a tetrahedron which is the dual on-shell diagram. In addition, the singular locus is identified and the diagram's value on the locus's two components is expressed as a linear combination of descendant …
We study one and two-loop triangle integrals with massless propagators and all external legs off shell. We show that there is a kinematic region where the results can be expressed in terms of a basis of single-valued polylogarithms in one complex variable. The relevant space of single-valued functions can be determined a priori and the results take strikingly a simple and compact form when written in terms of this basis. We study the properties of the basis functions and illustrate how one can easily analytically continue our results to all kinematic regions where the external masses have the …
Relations between multiple unitarity cuts and coproducts of Feynman integrals are extended to allow for internal masses. These masses introduce new branch cuts, whose discontinuities can be derived by placing single propagators on shell and identified as particular entries of the coproduct. First entries of the coproduct are then seen to include mass invariants alone, as well as threshold corrections for external momentum channels. As in the massless case, the original integral can possibly be recovered from its cuts by starting with the known part of the coproduct and imposing integrability c…
The tensor Feynman amplitudes are reduced to scalar integrals by a procedure of Passarino and Veltman. We provide an alternative approach based on the causal formalism.
In this paper, we generalize the unitarity method to two-loop diagrams and use it to discuss the integral bases of reduction. To test out method, we focus on the four-point double-box diagram as well as its related daughter diagrams, i.e., the double-triangle diagram and the triangle-box diagram. For later two kinds of diagrams, we have given complete analytical results in general (4-2\eps)-dimension.
It is shown how dual space diagrammatic representation of momentum integrals corresponding to triangle ladder diagrams with an arbitrary number of rungs can be transformed to half-diamonds. In paper arXiv:0803.3420 [hep-th] the half-diamonds were related by conformal integral substitution to the diamonds which represent the dual space image of four-point ladder integrals in the four-dimensional momentum space. Acting in the way described in the present paper we do not need to use the known result for diamond (four-point) diagrams as an external input in deriving relations of arXiv:0803.3420 [h…
Unitarity cuts are widely used in analytic computation of loop amplitudes in gauge theories such as QCD. We expand upon the technique introduced in hep-ph/0503132 to carry out any finite unitarity cut integral. This technique naturally separates the contributions of bubble, triangle and box integrals in one-loop amplitudes and is not constrained to any particular helicity configurations. Loop momentum integration is reduced to a sequence of algebraic operations. We discuss the extraction of the residues at higher-order poles. Additionally, we offer concise algebraic formulas for expressing coe…
We formulate and prove Cutkosky's Theorem regarding the discontinuity of Feynman integrals in the massive one-loop case up to the involved intersection index. This is done by applying the techniques to treat singular integrals developed in \cite{app-iso}. We write one-loop integrals as an integral of a holomorphic family of holomorphic forms over a compact cycle. Then, we determine at which points simple pinches occur and explicitly compute a representative of the corresponding vanishing sphere. This also yields an algorithm to compute the Landau surface of a one-loop graph without explicitly …
Basing on the systems of linear partial differential equations derived from Mellin-Barnes representations and Miller's transformation, we obtain GKZ-hypergeometric systems of one-loop self energy, one-loop triangle, two-loop vacuum, and two-loop sunset diagrams, respectively. The codimension of derived GKZ-hypergeometric system equals the number of independent dimensionless ratios among the external momentum squared and virtual mass squared. Taking GKZ-hypergeometric systems of one-loop self energy, massless one-loop triangle, and two-loop vacuum diagrams as examples, we present in detail how …
From general arguments, we show that one-loop n-point amplitudes in colourless theories satisfy a new type of reduction formula. These lead to the existence of cancellations beyond supersymmetry. Using such reduction relations we prove the no-triangle hypothesis in maximal supergravity by showing that in four dimensions the n-point graviton amplitude contain only scalar box integral functions. We also discuss the reduction formulas in the context of gravity amplitudes with less and no supersymmetry.
We present a set of one-loop integral coefficient relations in QCD. The unitarity method is useful for exposing one-loop amplitudes in terms of tree amplitudes. The coefficient relations are induced by tree-level BCJ amplitude relations. We provide examples for box, triangle, and bubble coefficients. These relations reduce the total number of independent coefficients needed to calculate one-loop QCD amplitudes.
Consistency with position space OPE limit requires momentum space CFT correlators to have only total energy singularity. We show that this requirement gives a simple proof of the known result that the parity-odd structure cannot exist for three-point correlators of exactly conserved currents with spins $s_i,s_j,s_k$, when triangle inequality $s_i\le s_j+s_k$ is violated. We also show that even for parity even correlation functions the properties are different inside and outside the triangle inequality. It was previously shown that if we allow for weakly broken higher spin symmetry, parity-odd …
Now there are many different methods to do the PV-reduction for the one loop amplitudes. Two of them are unitarity cut method and generalized unitarity cut method. In this short paper, we present an explicit connection of these two methods, especially how the extractions of triangle and bubble coefficients are equivalent to each other.
Generalised unitarity techniques are used to calculate the coefficients of box and triangle integral functions of one-loop gluon scattering amplitudes in gauge theories with $N < 4$ supersymmetries. We show that the box coefficients in N=1 and N=0 theories inherit the same coplanar and collinear constraints as the corresponding N=4 coefficients. We use triple cuts to determine the coefficients of the triangle integral functions and present, as an example, the full expression for the one-loop amplitude $A^{N=1}(1^-,2^-,3^-,4^+,..,n^+)$.
The transverse part of the three-point Green function of massless QED is determined to the lowest order in position space. Taken together with the evaluation of the longitudinal part in arXiv:0803.2630, this gives a relation for QED which is analogous to the star-triangle relation. We relate our result to conformal-invariant three-point functions.
We study the applicability of the Z-Sum approach to multi-loop calculations with massive particles in perturbative quantum field theory. We systematically analyze the case of one-loop scalar integrals, which represent the building blocks of any higher-loop calculation. We focus in particular on triangle one-loop integrals and identify strengths and limitations of the Z-Sum approach, extending our results to the case of one-loop box integrals when appropriate. We conclude with the calculation of a specific physical example: the calculation of heavy-flavor corrections to deep-inelastic-scatterin…
Unitarity cut method has been proved to be very useful in the computation of one-loop integrals. In this paper, we generalize the method to the situation where the powers of propagators in the denominator are larger than one in general. We show how to use the trick of differentiation over masses to translate the problem to the integrals where all powers are just one. Then by using the unitarity cut method, we can find the wanted reduction coefficients of all basis except the tadpole. Using this method, we calculate the reduction of scalar bubble, scalar triangle, scalar box and scalar pentagon…
We show that the most general fermion loop diagram is finite in both soft and collinear regions and therefore, it's IR finite. We use this result to express the IR singular structure of a box scalar integral in terms of the IR singular structure of reduced triangle scalar integrals.
