Width of the analyticity strip in space variable of viscous Burgers shockwaves

Analytic continuation of viscous shock solution for the generalized Burgers equation with polynomial nonlinear source term is investigated. We show that a pertubated wave recovers its analyticity in the space variable in the strip limited by the first pair of singularities of the wave.

Analyticity and large time behavior for the Burgers equation with the critical dissipation

This paper is concerned with the Cauchy problem of the Burgers equation with the critical dissipation. The well-posedness and analyticity in both of the space and the time variables are studied based on the frequency decomposition method. The large time behavior is revealed for any large initial data. As a result, it is shown that any smooth and integrable solution is analytic in space and time as long as time is positive and behaves like the Poisson kernel as time tends to infinity. The corresponding results are also obtined for the quasi-geostrophic equation.

Blow up and regularity for fractal Burgers equation

The paper is a comprehensive study of the existence, uniqueness, blow up and regularity properties of solutions of the Burgers equation with fractional dissipation. We prove existence of the finite time blow up for the power of Laplacian $α< 1/2,$ and global existence as well as analyticity of solution for $α\geq 1/2.$ We also prove the existence of solutions with very rough initial data $u_0 \in L^p,$ $1 < p < \infty.$ Many of the results can be extended to a more general class of equations, including the surface quasi-geostrophic equation.

Global existence and spatial analyticity for a nonlocal flux with fractional diffusion

In this paper, we study a one dimensional nonlinear equation with diffusion $-ν(-\partial_{xx})^{\fracα{2}}$ for $0\leq α\leq 2$ and $ν>0$. We use a viscous-splitting algorithm to obtain global nonnegative weak solutions in space $L^1(\mathbb{R})\cap H^{1/2}(\mathbb{R})$ when $0\leqα\leq 2$. A priori bounds for Gevrey-Sobolev norms of space-periodic three-dimensional solutions to equations of hydrodynamic type

We present a technique for derivation of a priori bounds for Gevrey-Sobolev norms of space-periodic three-dimensional solutions to evolutionary partial differential equations of hydrodynamic type.
