Recently we have proposed a renormalizable grand unified theory, based on the SU(5) gauge symmetry, where the neutrino masses are generated through the type I and type III seesaw mechanisms. In this letter we study the supersymmetric version of this theory. As in the non-susy version it is possible to generate all fermion masses with the minimal number of Higgses, the theory predicts one massless neutrino and the leptogenesis mechanism can be realized. All contributions to the decay of the proton and the properties of neutralinos are discussed. This theory can be considered as the simplest renormalizable supersymmetric grand unified theory based on the SU(5) gauge symmetry since it has the minimal number of superfields and free parameters.
We examine the (softly broken) supersymmetric gauge-Higgs-Yukawa theories satisfying the compositeness conditions at a certain scale. In these theories the Higgs superfields can be regarded as the chiral composite fields. It is found that there are the fundamental theories, which contain the dimension 5 interactions and the hard SUSY breaking in perturbation, turn to be renormalizable and also softly broken theories in the nonperturbative framework. The soft SUSY breaking parameters as well as the Yukawa coupling in the corresponding gauge-Higgs-Yukawa theories are restricted by the renormaliz…
We find an explicit renormalizable supersymmetric $E_6$ model with all the ingredients for being realistic. It consists of the Higgs sector $351'+\overline{351'}+27+\overline{27}$, which breaks $E_6$ directly to the Standard Model gauge group. Three copies of $27$ dimensional representations then describe the matter sector, while an extra $27+\overline{27}$ pair is needed to successfully split the Standard Model Higgs doublet from the heavy Higgs triplet. We perform the analysis of the vacuum structure and the Yukawa sector of this model, as well as compute contributions to proton decay. Also,…
We perform a supergraph computation of the effective Kaehler potential at one and two loops for general four dimensional N=1 supersymmetric theories described by arbitrary Kaehler potential, superpotential and gauge kinetic function. We only insist on gauge invariance of the Kaehler potential and the superpotential as we heavily rely on its consequences in the quantum theory. However, we do not require gauge invariance for the gauge kinetic functions, so that our results can also be applied to anomalous theories that involve the Green-Schwarz mechanism. We illustrate our two loop results by co…
We investigate the possibility to find the simplest renormalizable grand unified theory based on the SU(5) gauge symmetry. We find that it is possible to generate all fermion masses with only two Higgs bosons, 5_H and 45_H. In this context the neutrino masses are generated through the type III and type I seesaw mechanisms. The predictions coming from the unification of gauge couplings and the stability of the proton are discussed in detail. In this theory the leptogenesis mechanism can be realized through the out of equilibrium decays of the fermions in the adjoint representation.
In the Supersymmetric SU(5) Model of Unification with the Missing Partner Mechanism, we present a renormalizable model using the Georgi-Jarlsog mechanism to describe the fermion masses and mixing. At the meantime the proton decay rates are also suppressed to satisfy the experimental data.
We study the most general renormalizable couplings containing Higgs $H(10)$, $D(120)$, $\overlineΔ(\overline{126})+ Δ(126)$, $A(45)$, $E(54)$ and $Φ(210)$ in the supersymmetric SO(10) models. The Clebsch-Gordan Coefficients are calculated using the maximal subgroup $SU(5)\times U(1)_X$.
A realistic grand unified model has never been constructed in the literature due to three major difficulties: the seesaw mechanism without spoiling gauge coupling unification, the doublet-triplet splitting and the proton decay suppression. We propose a renormalizable supersymmetric SO(10) model with all these difficulties solved naturally by imposing an extra discrete symmetry.
We propose a renormalizable supersymmetric SO(10) model where the doublet-triplet splitting problem is solved using the Dimopoulos-Wilczek mechanism. An unwanted coupling is forbidden through a filter sector. To suppress proton decay without spoiling gauge coupling unification, there is a problem in the weak doublets which requires further improvements.
We solve the Goldstone modes in the renormalizable SUSY SO(10) model with general couplings. The Goldstones are expressed by the Vacuum Expectation Values and the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients of relevant symmetries without explicit dependence on the parameters of the model.
We examine a renormalizable SUSY SO(10) model without fine-tuning. We show how to construct MSSM doublets and to predict proton decay. We find that in the minimal set of Yukawa couplings the model is consistent with the experiments, while including $120_H$ to fit the data there are inconsistencies.
We present a pedagogical review of our current understanding of the ultraviolet structure of N = (1,1) 6D supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory and of N = 8 4D supergravity. These theories are not renormalizable, they involve power ultraviolet divergences and, in all probability, an infinite set of higher-dimensional counterterms that contribute to on-mass-shell scattering amplitudes. A specific feature of supersymmetric theories (especially, of extended supersymmetric theories) is that these counterterms may not be invariant off shell under the full set of supersymmetry transformations. The lowest…
I present two new renormalizable grand unified theories where the neutrino masses are generated through the type I and type III seesaw mechanisms. These theories can be considered as the simplest (SUSY) renormalizable grand unified theories based on the SU(5) gauge symmetry. Several phenomenological and cosmological aspects of these proposals are discussed.
We consider a general d=4 N=1 globally supersymmetric lagrangian involving chiral and vector superfields, with arbitrary superpotential, Kahler potential and gauge kinetic function. We compute perturbative quantum corrections by employing a component field approach that respects supersymmetry and background gauge invariance. In particular, we obtain the full one-loop correction to the Kahler potential in supersymmetric Landau gauge. Two derivations of this result are described. The non-renormalization of the superpotential and the quadratic correction to the Fayet-Iliopoulos terms are further …
We analyze all possible extensions of the recently proposed minimal renormalizable SUSY SU(5) grand unified model with the inclusion of an additional A4 flavor symmetry. We find that there are five possible cases but only one of them is phenomenologically interesting. We develop in detail such case and we show how the fermion masses and mixing angles come out. As a prediction we obtain the neutrino masses of order of 0.1 eV with an inverted hierarchy.
We present a construction kit for calculating two-loop beta functions in N=1 supersymmetric theories for the operators of the superpotential using supergraph techniques. In particular, it allows to compute the beta functions for every desired, even higher dimensional, operator of the superpotential from the wavefunction renormalization constants of the theory. We apply this method to calculate the two-loop beta functions for the lowest-dimensional effective neutrino mass operator in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) and for the Yukawa couplings in the MSSM extended by singlet su…
A complete realistic model based on the supersymmetric version of $E_6$ is presented. It consists of three copies of matter 27, and a Higgs sector made of $2\times(27+\bar{27})+351'+\bar{351'}$ representations. An analytic solution to the equations of motion is found which spontaneously breaks the gauge group into the Standard Model. The light fermion mass matrices are written down explicitly as non-linear functions of three Yukawa matrices. This contribution is based on Ref. [1].
We systematically study the renormalizable three-term polynomial inflation in the supersymmetric and non-supersymmetric models. The supersymmetric inflaton potentials can be realized in supergravity theory, and only have two independent parameters. We show that the general renormalizable supergravity model is equivalent to one kind of our supersymmetric models. We find that the spectral index and tensor-to-scalar ratio can be consistent with the Planck and BICEP2 results, but the running of spectral index is always out of the $2σ$ range. If we do not consider the BICEP2 experiment, these infla…
We study the possibility of obtaining metastable supersymmetry breaking vacua in a perturbative gauge theory without singlet fields, thus allowing for scenarios where a grand unified symmetry and supersymmetry are broken by the same sector. We show some explicit SU(5) examples. The minimal renormalizable example requires the use of two adjoints, but it is shown to inevitably lead to unwanted light states. We suggest various alternatives, and show that the viable possibilities consist of allowing for non-renormalizable operators, of employing four adjoints or of adding at least one field in a d…
It is a well-known fact that the minimal renormalizable supersymmetric SU(5) model is ruled out assuming superpartner masses of the order of a few TeV. Giving up this constraint and assuming only SU(5) boundary conditions for the soft terms, we find that the model is still alive. The viable region of the parameter space typically features superpartner masses of order $10^2$ to $10^4$ TeV, with tan beta values between 2 and 5, but lighter spectra with single states around 10 TeV are also possible. The main constraints come from proton decay, the Higgs mass, the requirement of the SU(5) spectrum…
We discuss the ordinary, non-supersymmetric SO(10) as a theory of fermion masses and mixings. We construct two minimal versions of the Yukawa sector based on $\bar{126}_H $ and either $10_H$ or $120_H$. The latter case is of particular interest since it connects the absolute neutrino mass scale with the size of the atmospheric mixing angle $θ_A$. It also relates the smallness of $V_{cb}$ with the largeness of $θ_A$. These results are based on the analytic study of the second and third generations. Furthermore, we discuss the structure of the light Higgs and the role of the Peccei-Quinn symmetr…
The scalar potential of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) is nearly flat along many directions in field space. We provide a catalog of the flat directions of the renormalizable and supersymmetry-preserving part of the scalar potential of the MSSM, using the correspondence between flat directions and gauge-invariant polynomials of chiral superfields. We then study how these flat directions are lifted by non-renormalizable terms in the superpotential, with special attention given to the subtleties associated with the family index structure. Several flat directions are lifted only …
It is shown that the one-loop ultraviolet divergences in renormalizable supersymmetric theories can be regulated by the introduction of heavy Pauli-Villars chiral supermultiplets, provided the generators of the gauge group are traceless in the matter representation. The procedure is extended to include supersymmetric gauged nonlinear sigma models.
There are several advantages of introducing adjoint superfields at intermediate energies around $M=10^{13}$ GeV. Such as (i) gauge couplings still unify (ii) neutrino masses and mixings are produced (iii) primordial lepton asymmetry can be produced. We point out that if adjoint scalars have bulk excitations along with gauge bosons whereas fermions and the doublet scalar live on boundary then N=2 supersymmetric beta functions $\tilde{b_i}$ vanish. Thus even if extra dimensions open up at an intermediate scale $μ_0$ and all N=2 Yang-Mills fields as well as N=2 matter fields in the adjoint repres…
A simple extension of the minimal renormalizable supersymmetric SO(10) grand unified theory by adding a 120-dimensional Higgs representation is examined. This brings new antisymmetric contributions to the relevant quark and lepton mass sum rules and leads to a better fit of the measured values of lepton masses and mixings together with a natural completion of the renormalizable Higgs sector within the SUSY SO(10) framework.
We consider a model of D-term inflation in which the inflaton coincides with the standard Higgs doublet. Non-renormalizable terms are controlled by a discrete R-symmetry of the superpotential. We consider radiative corrections to the scalar potential and find that Higgs inflation in the slow-roll approximation is viable and consistent with CMB data, although with a rather large value of the non-renormalizable coupling involved.
Renormalizable lepton number violating interactions that break R-parity can induce a Majorana mass for neutrinos. Based on this, we show that it is possible to obtain a phenomenologically viable neutrino mass matrix that can accommodate atmospheric neutrino data via $ν_μ$--$ν_τ$ mixing and the solar neutrino data via either the large or small angle MSW effect. We argue that such a mass matrix could result from an approximate discrete symmetry of the superpotential that forbids renormalizable baryon number violating couplings.
We investigate the conditions on the Higgs sector that allow supersymmetric SO(10) grand unified theories (GUT) to break spontaneously to the standard electroweak model (SM) at the renormalizable level. If one considers Higgs representations of dimension up to the adjoint, a supersymmetric standard model vacuum requires in most cases the presence of non-renormalizable (NR) operators. The active role of Planck induced NR operators in the breaking of the gauge symmetry introduces a hierarchy in the mass spectrum at the GUT scale that may be an issue for gauge unification and proton decay. We sho…
We study the nature of the see-saw mechanism in the context of renormalizable SO(10) with Higgs fields in the 10-plets and 126-plet representations, paying special attention to the supersymmetric case. We discuss analytically the situation for the second and third generations of fermions ignoring any CP violating phase. It is shown that b-tau unification and large atmospheric mixing angle strongly disfavor the dominance of the type I see-saw.
We classify a supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model by discrete symmetries originating from finite modular symmetries $Γ_N$. Since all the couplings in supersymmetric theories of finite modular symmetries $Γ_N$ are described by holomorphic modular forms with even modular weights, renormalizable and non-renormalizable operators such as baryon- and/or lepton-number violating operators are severely constrained. From the modular transformation of matter multiplets with modular weight $1/M$, we find $\mathbb{Z}_{2M}$ symmetries, including the generalized baryon and lepton parities, $R$-par…
We discuss two classes of supersymmetric grand unified theories based on extended gauge groups $SO(10) \times SO(10)$ and $SO(10)\times SO(10)\times SO(10)$. Effective adjoint fields of each gauge group SO(10) are argued to be formed from combining two Higgs fields in fundamental representation of the extended gauge groups, one obtaining its VEV along the diagonal $SO(10)_D$ direction and the other acquiring its VEV along the diagonal $SU(5)_D\times U(1)_D$ or its subgroup direction. Thus experimentally acceptable fermion mass matrices, such as Georgi-Jarlskog ansatz, with successful GUT mass …
The significant heavy threshold effect is found in the supersymmetric SU(5) model with two adjoint scalars, one of which is interpreted as a massive string mode decoupled from the lower-energy particle spectra. This threshold related with the generic mass splitting of the basic adjoint moduli is shown to alter properly the running of gauge couplings, thus giving a natural solution to the string-scale grand unification as prescribed at low energies by LEP precision measurements and minimal particle content. The further symmetry condition of the (top-bottom) Yukawa and gauge coupling superunific…
We construct a renormalizable, supersymmetric theory of flavor and $R$ parity based on the discrete flavor group $(S_3)^3$. The model can account for all the masses and mixing angles of the Standard Model, while maintaining sufficient squark degeneracy to circumvent the supersymmetric flavor problem. By starting with a simpler set of flavor symmetry breaking fields than we have suggested previously, we construct an economical Froggatt-Nielsen sector that generates the desired elements of the fermion Yukawa matrices. With the particle content above the flavor scale completely specified, we show…
We consider the simplest and most economic version among the proposed non-minimal supersymmetric models, in which the $μ$-parameter is promoted to a singlet superfield, whose all self-couplings are absent from the renormalizable superpotential. Such a particularly simple form of the renormalizable superpotential may be enforced by discrete $R$-symmetries which are extended to the gravity-induced non-renormalizable operators as well. We show explicitly that within the supergravity-mediated supersymmetry-breaking scenario, the potentially dangerous divergent tadpoles associated with the presence…
We observe that a recently proposed supersymmetric model with Q6 flavor symmetry admits a new CP violating ground state. A new sum rule for the quark mixing parameters emerges, which is found to be consistent with data. Simple extensions of the model to the neutrino sector suggest an inverted hierarchical mass spectrum with nearly maximal CP violation (|delta_{MNS}| simeq pi/2). Besides reducing the number of parameters in the fermion sector, these models also provide solutions to the SUSY flavor problem and the SUSY CP problem. We construct a renormalizable scalar potential that leads to the …
We briefly review our analysis of a model with non supersymmetric vacua in N=1 gauge theories with adjoint matter and no R-symmetry. We show here that this model without any modification fits into a direct gauge mediation scenario and leads to massive gauginos.
We show that the low energy limit of the minimal supersymmetric Left-Right models is the supersymmetric standard model with an exact R-parity. The theory predicts a number of light Higgs scalars and fermions with masses much below the $B-L$ and $SU(2)_R$ breaking scales. The non-renormalizable version of the theory has a striking prediction of light doubly charged supermultiplets which may be accessible to experiment. Whereas in the renormalizable case the scale of parity breaking is undetermined, in the non-renormalizable one it must be bigger than about $10^{10} - 10^{12}$ GeV. The precise n…
Many models for dynamical supersymmetry breaking have the domain wall solution of the Kovner-Shifman type and therefore contain the potential cosmological domain wall problem. We show that the degeneracy of the vacua is lifted in any model in which the cosmological constant is fine-tuned to zero through an explicit $Z_{n}^{R}$ symmetry breaking constant in the superpotential. In this respect, we do not have to add unnatural non-renormalizable terms which explicitly break the symmetry. We also discuss the conditions for the safe decay of the walls for several concrete examples.
We explore the possibility of embedding supersymmetric GUT texture ideas into superstring models. We discuss the construction of GUT models using free fermionic strings. We find SO(10) models with adjoint scalars, three generations of chiral fermions, and a fundamental Higgs with a Yukawa coupling to only the third generation.
We investigate baryogenesis via leptogenesis and generation of neutrino masses and mixings through the Type I plus Type III seesaw plus an one-loop mechanism in the context of Renormalizable Adjoint SU(5) theory. One light neutrino remains massless, because the contributions of three heavy Majorana fermions ρ_0, ρ_3 and ρ_8 to the neutrino mass matrix are not linearly independent. However none of these heavy fermions is decoupled from the generation of neutrino masses. This opens a new range in parameter space for successful leptogenesis, in particular, allows for inverted hierarchy of the neu…
We discuss in detail the symmetry breaking and related issues in the minimal renormalizable supersymmetric grand unified theory. We compute the particle spectrum and study its impact on the physical scales of the theory. This provides a framework for the analysis of phenomenological implications of the theory, to be carried out in part II.
Simple SO(10) Higgs models with the adjoint representation triggering the grand-unified symmetry breaking, discarded a long ago due to inherent tree-level tachyonic instabilities in the physically interesting scenarios, have been recently brought back to life by quantum effects. In this work we focus on the variant with 45_H+126_H in the Higgs sector and show that there are several regions in the parameter space of this model that can support stable unifying configurations with the B-L breaking scale as high as 10^14 GeV, well above the previous generic estimates based on the minimal survival …
We formulate N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in terms of soft-collinear effective theory. The effective Lagrangian in soft-collinear effective theory is developed according to the power counting by a small parameter η\sim p_{\perp}/Q. All the particles in this theory are in the adjoint representation of the SU(N) gauge group, and we derive the collinear gauge-invariant Lagrangian in the adjoint and fundamental representations respectively. We consider collinear and ultrasoft Wilson lines in this theory, and show the ultrasoft factorization of the collinear Lagrangian by redefining the col…
Conventionally, neutrino masses in a supersymmetric theory arise from non-renormalizable lepton-number (L)-violating operators in the superpotential. The alternative possibility of having such operators in the Kahler potential as the dominant source of neutrino masses has very interesting implications and differences with respect to the standard scenario: first, the scale of L-violation can be lowered dramatically and neutrino masses have a different tan beta-dependence; second, the renormalization of these operators has remarkable properties: in many cases it improves drastically the stabilit…
The tetrahedron $A_4$ group has been widely used in studying neutrino mixing matrix. It provides a natural framework of model building for the tri-bimaximal mixing matrix. In this class of models, it is necessary to have two Higgs fields, $χ$ and $χ'$, transforming under $A_4$ as 3 with one of them having vacuum expectation values for the three components to be equal and another having only one of the components to be non-zero. These specific vev structures require separating $χ$ and $χ'$ from communicating with each other. The clash of the different vev structures for $χ$ and $χ'$ is the so c…
We study an ${\cal N}=1$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory defined on $M^4\times S^1$. The vacuum expectation values for adjoint scalar field in vector multiplet, though important, has been overlooked in evaluating one-loop effective potential of the theory. We correctly take the vacuum expectation values into account in addition to the Wilson line phases to give an expression for the effective potential, and gauge symmetry breaking is discussed. In evaluating the potential, we employ the Scherk-Schwarz mechanism and introduce bare mass for gaugino in order to break supersymmetry. We also obtai…
The Minimal Supersymmetric Extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) is able to explain the current data from neutrino physics. Unfortunately Split Supersymmetry as low energy approximation of this theory fails to generate a solar square mass difference, including after the addition of bilinear R-Parity Violation. In this work, it is shown how one can derive an effective low energy theory from the MSSM in the spirit of Split Supersymmetry, which has the potential of explaining the neutrino phenomenology. This is achieved by going beyond leading order in the process of integrating out heavy scalar…
Recently, Poole & Thomsen have presented the Renormalization Group Equations (RGEs) in the $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ scheme for dimensionless parameters of a general renormalizable gauge theory in a new formalism based on the Local Renormalization Group. In this Letter, we apply the dummy field method to the expressions in this formalism in order to derive the RGEs for the dimensionful couplings which so far have been missing in this approach. The complete set of RGEs has been implemented in a new version of the public code PyR@TE (arXiv:2007.12700) dedicated to the automatic computation of the…
We consider the possibility that some supersymmetric gauge theories which are not asymptotically free can be governed by ultraviolet-stable fixed points. If this scenario can be realized, gaugino masses will exhibit power-law running with scale, providing a possible solution to the supersymmetric flavor problem. While naive perturbative calculations hint at the appearance of ultraviolet-stable fixed points in certain theories, there are strong constraints following from limits on the scaling dimensions of gauge-invariant operators, positivity of central charges, and Cardy's conjectured constra…
For supersymmetric gauge theories a consistent regularization scheme that preserves supersymmetry and gauge invariance is not known. In this article we tackle this problem for supersymmetric QED within the framework of algebraic renormalization. For practical calculations, a non-invariant regularization scheme may be used together with counterterms from all power-counting renormalizable interactions. From the Slavnov--Taylor identity, expressing gauge invariance, supersymmetry and translational invariance, simple symmetry conditions are derived that are important in a twofold respect: they est…
We construct a new minimal extension of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) by promoting the $μ$-parameter to a singlet superfield. The resulting renormalizable superpotential is enforced by a $\mathcal{Z}_5$ $R$-symmetry which is imposed on the non-renormalizable operators as well. The proposed model provides a natural solution to the $μ$-problem and is free from phenomenological and cosmological problems.
We explore the gauge hierarchy problem within the framework of supersymmetric $SU(3)_c \times SU(3)_L \times SU(3)_R$ with a minimal set of higgs supermultiplets. Imposition of a suitable discrete (alternatively $R$) symmetry `prevents' the electroweak higgs doublets from becoming superheavy through renormalizable couplings. A full resolution of the problem requires consideration of the non-renormalizable couplings which play an essential role. Other key differences from the minimal supersymmetric $SU(5)$ model include the fact that the proton is stable and that an effective $5 + \bar{5}$ supe…
We show that the minimal renormalizable supersymmetric SO(10) GUT with the usual three generations of spinors has a Higgs sector consisting only of a "light" 10-dimensional and "heavy" 126, 126-bar and 210 supermultiplets. The theory has only two sets of Yukawa couplings with fifteen real parameters and ten real parameters in the Higgs superpotential. It accounts correctly for all the fermion masses and mixings. The theory predicts at low energies the MSSM with exact R-parity. It is arguably the minimal consistent supersymmetric grand unified theory.
We reconsider a class of well motivated supersymmetric models in which inflation is associated with the breaking of a gauge symmetry G to H, with the symmetry breaking scale M~10^16 GeV. Starting with a renormalizable superpotential, we include both radiative and supergravity corrections to derive the inflationary potential. The scalar spectral index n_s can exceed unity in some cases, and it cannot be smaller than 0.98 if the number of e-foldings corresponding to the present horizon scale is around 60. Two distinct variations of this scenario are discussed in which non-renormalizable terms al…
We discuss the simplest models for the generation of neutrinos masses at tree level and one-loop level. The realization of the different seesaw mechanisms in the context of renormalizable SU(5) and SO(10) theories is reviewed. A new mechanism for the generation of neutrino masses at one-loop level is presented. We discuss the first realization of the Type III seesaw mechanism in the context of a renormalizable SU(5) theory, called "Adjoint SU(5)".
We discuss how θ_{13} \neq 0 is accommodated in a recently proposed renormalizable model of neutrino mixing using the non-Abelian discrete symmetry T_7 in the context of a supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model with gauged U(1)_{B-L}. We predict a correlation between θ_{13} and θ_{23}, as well as the effective neutrino mass m_{ee} in neutrinoless double beta decay.
We review the main constraints on the parameter space of the minimal renormalizable supersymmetric SU(5) grand unified theory. They consist of the Higgs mass, proton decay, electroweak symmetry breaking and fermion masses. Superpartner masses are constrained both from below and from above, giving hope for confirming or definitely ruling out the theory in the future. This contribution is based on Ref. [1].
We analyse the high temperature behaviour of softly broken supersymmetric theories taking into account the role played by effective non-renormalizable terms generated by the decoupling of superheavy degrees of freedom or the Planck scale physics. It turns out that discrete or continuous symmetries, spontaneously broken at intermediate scales, may never be restored, at least up to temperatures of the cutoff scale. There are a few interesting differences from the usual non-restoration in non-supersymmetric theories case where one needs at least two Higgs fields and non-restoration takes place fo…
The supersymmetric grand unified theory with the Hosotani mechanism predicts the existence of adjoint chiral supermultiplets at the SUSY breaking scale. In particular, the SU(2) triplet and the singlet chiral superfields affect the Higgs sector. We investigate the contributions from these adjoint chiral multiplets to the masses of the Higgs sector particles and their couplings to the standard model particles. We show that the predicted values of the Higgs sector parameters deviate from the standard model and the minimal supersymmetric standard model by O(1)% - O(10)%.
