We propose a genuine multi-party correlation measure for a multi-party quantum system as the trace norm of the cumulant of the state. The legitimacy of our multi-party correlation measure is explicitly demonstrated by proving it satisfies the five basic conditions required for a correlation measure. As an application we construct an efficient algorithm for the calculation of our measures for all stabilizer states.
Unified entropy, entanglement measures and monogamy of multi-party entanglement
In this paper, we propose a novel two-party semiquantum key distribution (SQKD) protocol by only employing one kind of GHZ-like state. The proposed SQKD protocol can create a private key shared between one quantum party with unlimited quantum abilities and one classical party with limited quantum abilities without the existence of a third party. The proposed SQKD protocol doesn't need the Hadamard gate or quantum entanglement swapping. Detailed security analysis turns out that the proposed SQKD protocol can resist various famous attacks from an outside eavesdropper, such as the Trojan horse at…
In this paper, a three-party secure semiquantum summation protocol, which can calculate the modulo 2 addition of the private bits from one quantum participant and two classical participants, is constructed by only using single qubits as the initial quantum resource. This protocol needs none of quantum entanglement swapping, the unitary operation or a pre-shared private key. This protocol only requires the quantum participant to perform the Z basis measurements, the X basis measurements and the Bell basis measurements. Compared with the existing only semiquantum summation protocol (Int J Theor …
Here, we show that, contrary to the common opinion, the super-resolution optical fluctuation microscopy might not lead to ideally infinite super-resolution enhancement with increasing of the order of measured cumulants. Using information analysis for estimating error bounds on the determination of point sources positions, we show that reachable precision per measurement might be saturated with increasing of the order of the measured cumulants in the super-resolution regime. In fact, there is an optimal correlation order beyond which there is practically no improvement for objects of three and …
Multiparty quantum communication provides delightful applications including quantum cryptographic communication and quantum secret sharing. Measurement-Device-Independent (MDI) quantum communication based on the Greenberg-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state measurement provides a practical way to implement multiparty quantum communication. With the standard spatially localized GHZ state measurement, however, information can be imbalanced among the communication parties that can cause significant problems in multiparty cryptographic communication. Here, we propose an equitable multiparty quantum commun…
Device independent certification schemes have gained a lot of interest lately, not only for their applications in quantum information tasks but also their implications towards foundations of quantum theory. The strongest form of device independent certification, known as self-testing, often requires for a Bell inequality to be maximally violated by specific quantum states and measurements. In this work, using the techniques developed recently in [S. Sarkar et al., npj Quantum Inf. 7, 151 (2021)], we provide the first self-testing scheme for the multipartite Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) st…
In this paper, we put forward a novel single-state three-party semiquantum key agreement (SQKA) protocol with three-particle GHZ entangled states first. Different with previous quantum key agreement (QKA) protocols, the proposed single-state three-party SQKA protocol can realize the goal that a quantum party and two classical parties who only possess limited quantum capabilities equally contribute to the generation of a shared private key over quantum channels. Detailed security analysis turns out that the proposed single-state three-party SQKA protocol is secure against several famous attacks…
We introduce a quantification of genuine three-party pure-state coherence for wave fields, classical and quantum, by borrowing concepts from classical optics. The tensor structure of a classical paraxial light beam composed of three principle degrees of freedom is shown to be equivalent to that of a three-qubit quantum state. The traditional basis-independent optical coherence quantity called degree of polarization is then determined to be the desired quantitative two-party coherence measure. When appropriately generalized, a set of fundamental constraint relations is derived among three two-p…
In this work, we present a quantum secret sharing scheme based on Bell state entanglement and sequential projection measurements. The protocol verifies the $n$ out of $n$ scheme and supports the aborting of the protocol in case all the parties do not divulge in their valid measurement outcomes. The operator-qubit pair forms an integral part of the scheme determining the classical secret to be shared. The protocol is robust enough to neutralize any eavesdropping on a particular qubit of the dealer. The experimental demonstration of the scheme is done on IBM-QE cloud platform with backends \text…
