We consider an arbitrary continuous-variable three-party Gaussian quantum state which is used to perform quantum teleportation of a pure Gaussian state between two of the parties (Alice and Bob). In turn, the third party (Charlie) can condition the process by means of local operations and classical communication. We find the best measurement that Charlie can implement on his own mode that preserves the Gaussian character of the three-mode state and optimizes the teleportation fidelity between Alice and Bob.
We present a secure multi-party quantum summation protocol based on quantum teleportation, in which a malicious, but non-collusive, third party (TP) helps compute the summation. In our protocol, TP is in charge of entanglement distribution and Bell states are shared between participants. Users encode the qubits in their hand according to their private bits and perform Bell-state measurements. After obtaining participants' measurement results, TP can figure out the summation. The participants do not need to send their encoded states to others, and the protocol is therefore congenitally free fro…
We experimentally demonstrate the noiseless teleportation of a single photon by conditioning on quadrature Bell measurement results near the origin in phase space and thereby circumventing the photon loss that otherwise occurs even in optimal gain-tuned continuous-variable quantum teleportation. In general, thanks to this loss suppression, the noiseless conditional teleportation can preserve the negativity of the Wigner function for an arbitrary pure input state and an arbitrary pure entangled resource state. In our experiment, the positive value of the Wigner function at the origin for the un…
We first define a quantity exhibiting the usefulness of bipartite quantum states for teleportation, called the quantum teleportation capability, and then investigate its restricted shareability in multi-party quantum systems. In this work, we verify that the quantum teleportation capability has a monogamous property in its shareability for arbitrary three-qutrit pure states by employing the monogamy inequality in terms of the negativity.
We have tried to interpret the physical role of the three-tangle and $π$-tangle in the real physical information process. For the model calculation we adopt the three-party teleportation scheme through the various noisy channels. The three parties consist of sender, accomplice and receiver. It is shown that the $π$-tangles for the X- and Z-noisy channels vanish at $κt \to \infty$ limit, where $κt$ is a parameter introduced in the master equation of Lindblad form. In this limit the receiver's maximum fidelity reduces to the classical limit 2/3. However, this nice feature is not maintained at th…
We consider a scenario where a party, say, Alice prepares a pure two-qubit (either maximally entangled or non-maximally entangled) state and sends one half of this state to another distant party, say, Bob through a qubit (either unital or non-unital) channel. Finally, the shared state is used as a teleportation channel. In this scenario, we focus on characterizing the set of qubit channels with respect to the final state's efficacy as a resource of quantum teleportation (QT) in terms of maximal average fidelity and fidelity deviation (fluctuation in fidelity values over the input states). Impo…
The purport of quantum teleportation is to completely transfer information from one party to another distant partner. However, from the perspective of parameter estimation, it is the information carried by a particular parameter, not the information of total quantum state that needs to be teleported. Due to the inevitable noise in environment, we propose two schemes to enhance quantum Fisher information (QFI) teleportation under amplitude damping noise with the technique of partial measurements. We find that post partial measurement can greatly enhance the teleported QFI, while the combination…
We present two new schemes for quantum teleportation between parties whose local reference frames are misaligned by the action of a compact Lie group G. These schemes require no prior alignment of reference frames and are unaffected by arbitrary changes in reference frame alignment during execution, suiting them to situations of rapid reference frame drift. Our tight scheme yields improved purity compared to standard teleportation, in some cases substantially --- this includes the case of qubit teleportation under arbitrary SU(2) reference frame uncertainty--- while communicating no informatio…
Recently, Yu et al., (Commun. Theor. Phys. 73 (2021) 085103) has proposed a scheme for "multi-output quantum teleportation" and has implemented the scheme using an IBM quantum computer. In their so called multicast-based quantum teleportation scheme, a sender (Alice) teleported two different quantum states (one of which is a m-qubit GHZ class state and the other is a (m+1)-qubit GHZ class state) to the two receivers. To perform the task, a five-qubit cluster state was used as a quantum channel, and the scheme was realized using IBM quantum computer for m = 1. In this comment, it is shown that …
We propose and analyze a setup to tailor the wave functions of the quantum states. Our setup is based on the quantum teleportation circuit, but instead of the usual two-mode squeezed state, two-mode non-Gaussian entangled state is used. Using this setup, we can generate various classes of quantum states such as Schrödinger cat states, four-component cat states, superpositions of Fock states, and cubic phase states. These results demonstrate the versatility of our system as a state generator and suggest that conditioning using homodyne measurements is an important tool in the generations of the…
Twenty-five years after the invention of quantum teleportation, the concept of entanglement gained enormous popularity. This is especially nice to those who remember that entanglement was not even taught at universities until the 1990's. Today, entanglement is often presented as a resource, the resource of quantum information science and technology. However, entanglement is exploited twice in quantum teleportation. First, entanglement is the `quantum teleportation channel', i.e. entanglement between distant systems. Second, entanglement appears in the eigenvectors of the joint measurement that…
We present a general scheme for multiparty-controlled teleportation of an arbitrary m-qudit ($d$-dimensional quantum system) state by using non-maximally entangled states as the quantum channel. The sender performs m generalized Bell-state measurements on her 2$m$ particles, the controllers take some single-particle measurements with the measuring basis $X_{d}$ and the receiver only need to introduce one auxiliary two-level particle to extract quantum information probabilistically with the fidelity unit if he cooperates with all the controllers. All the parties can use some decoy photons to se…
This article defines encrypted gate, which is denoted by $EG[U]:|α\rangle\rightarrow\left((a,b),Enc_{a,b}(U|α\rangle)\right)$. We present a gate-teleportation-based two-party computation scheme for $EG[U]$, where one party gives arbitrary quantum state $|α\rangle$ as input and obtains the encrypted $U$-computing result $Enc_{a,b}(U|α\rangle)$, and the other party obtains the random bits $a,b$. Based on $EG[P^x](x\in\{0,1\})$, we propose a method to remove the $P$-error generated in the homomorphic evaluation of $T/T^\dagger$-gate. Using this method, we design two non-interactive and perfectly …
In this work, a novel protocol is proposed for bidirectional controlled quantum teleportation (BCQT) in which a quantum channel is used with the eight-qubit entangled state. Using the protocol, two users can teleport an arbitrary entangled state and a pure two-qubit state (QBS) to each other simultaneously under the permission of a third party in the role of controller. This protocol is based on the controlled-not operation, appropriate single-qubit (SIQ) UOs and SIQ measurements in the Z and X-basis. Reduction of the predictability of the controller's qubit (QB) by the eavesdropper and also, …

Ideal quantum teleportation transfers an unknown quantum state intact from one party Alice to the other Bob via the use of a maximally entangled state and the communication of classical information. If Alice and Bob do not share entanglement, the maximal average fidelity between the state to be teleported and the state received, according to a classical measure-and-prepare scheme, is upper bounded by a function $f_{\mathrm{c}}$ that is inversely proportional to the Hilbert space dimension. In fact, even if they share entanglement, the so-called teleportation fidelity may still be less than the…
We investigate two-party quantum teleportation through noisy channels for multi-qubit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states and find which state loses less quantum information in the process. The dynamics of states is described by the master equation with the noisy channels that lead to the quantum channels to be mixed states. We analytically solve the Lindblad equation for $n$-qubit GHZ states $n\in\{4,5,6\}$ where Lindblad operators correspond to the Pauli matrices and describe the decoherence of states. Using the average fidelity we show that 3GHZ state is more robust than $n$GHZ state u…
Since the initial discovery of quantum teleportation, it is devoted to transferring unknown quantum states from one party to another distant partner. However, in the scenarios of remote sensing, what people truly care about is the information carried by certain parameters. The problem of multiparameter estimation in the framework of qutrit teleportation under amplitude damping (AD) noise is studied. Particularly, two schemes are proposed to battle against AD noise and enhance the precision of multiparameter estimation by utilizing weak measurement (WM) and environment-assisted measurement (EAM…
Transferring the state of an information carrier from a sender to a receiver is an essential primitive in both classical and quantum communication and information processing. In a quantum process known as teleportation the unknown state of a quantum bit can be relayed to a distant party using shared entanglement and classical information. Here we present experiments in a solid-state system based on superconducting quantum circuits demonstrating the teleportation of the state of a qubit at the macroscopic scale. In our experiments teleportation is realized deterministically with high efficiency…

In this work we propose the generation of a hybrid entangled resource (HER) and its further application in a quantum teleportation scheme from an experimentally feasible point of view. The source for HER preparation is based on the four wave mixing process in a photonic crystal fiber, from which one party of its output bipartite state is used to herald a single photon or a single photon added coherent state. From the heralded state and linear optics the HER is created. In the proposed teleportation protocol Bob uses the HER to teleport qubits with different spectral properties. Bob makes a Bel…
In quantum teleportation, an unknown quantum state is transmitted from one party to another using only local operations and classical communication, at the cost of shared entanglement. Is it possible similarly, using an $N$ party entangled state, to have the state retrievable by {\it any} of the $N-1$ possible receivers? If the receivers cooperate, and share a suitable state, this can be done reliably. The $N$ party GHZ is one such state; I derive a large class of such states, and show that they are in general not equivalent to the GHZ. I also briefly discuss the problem where the parties do n…

Quantum teleportation [1] is a quintessential prerequisite of many quantum information processing protocols [2-4]. By using quantum teleportation, one can circumvent the no-cloning theorem [5] and faithfully transfer unknown quantum states to a party whose location is even unknown over arbitrary distances. Ever since the first experimental demonstrations of quantum teleportation of independent qubits [6] and of squeezed states [7], researchers have progressively extended the communication distance in teleportation, usually without active feed-forward of the classical Bell-state measurement res…
It is commonly believed that the fidelity of quantum teleportation using localized quantum objects with one party or both accelerated in vacuum would be degraded due to the heat-up by the Unruh effect. In this paper we point out that the Unruh effect is not the whole story in accounting for all the relativistic effects in quantum teleportation. First, there could be degradation of fidelity by a common field environment even when both quantum objects are in inertial motion. Second, relativistic effects entering the description of the dynamics such as frame dependence, time dilation, and Doppler…
A rational secret sharing scheme is a game in which each party responsible for reconstructing a secret tries to maximize his utility by obtaining the secret alone. Quantum secret sharing schemes, either derived from quantum teleportation or from quantum error correcting code, do not succeed when we assume rational participants. This is because all existing quantum secret sharing schemes consider that the secret is reconstructed by a party chosen by the dealer. In this paper, for the first time, we propose a quantum secret sharing scheme which is resistant to rational parties. The proposed sche…
Information about an unknown quantum state can be encoded in weak values of projectors belonging to a complete eigenbasis. We present a protocol that enables one party -- Bob -- to remotely determine the weak values corresponding to weak measurements performed by another spatially separated party -- Alice. The particular set of weak values contains complete information of the quantum state encoded on Alice's register, which enacts the role of preselected system state in the aforementioned weak measurement. Consequently, Bob can determine the quantum state from these weak values, which can also…
Here we propose a general relativistic quantum framework for cryptography that exploits the fascinating connection of quantum non-locality and special theory of relativity with cryptography. The underlying principle of unconditional security is causality and two-fold quantum non-local correlations: first entanglement swapping and then teleportation over causally independent entangled systems. We show that the proposed framework has following remarkable and novel features in mistrustful cryptography: (i) It helps in defining a new notion of oblivious transfer where both the data transferred and…
Fully entangled fraction (FEF) is a significant figure of merit for density matrices. In bipartite $ d \otimes d $ quantum systems, the threshold value FEF $ > 1/d $, carries significant implications for quantum information processing tasks. Like separability, the value of FEF is also related to the choice of global basis of the underlying Hilbert space. A state having its FEF $ \le 1/d $, might give a value $ > 1/d $ in another global basis. A change in the global basis corresponds to a global unitary action on the quantum state. In the present work, we find that there are quantum states whos…
The first two party Quantum Key Agreement (QKA) protocol, based on quantum teleportation, was proposed by Zhou et al. (Electronics Letters 40.18 (2004): 1149-1150). In this protocol, to obtain the key bit string, one of the parties use a device to obtain inner product of two quantum states, one being unknown, and the other one performs Bell measurement. However, in this article, we show that it is not possible to obtain a device that would output the inner product of two qubits even when only one of the qubit is unknown. This is so because existence of such device would imply perfectly disting…
