Jeffrey and Kirwan suggested expressions for intersection pairings on the reduced space of a Hamiltonian G-space in terms of multiple residues. In this paper we prove a residue formula for symplectic volumes of reduced spaces of a quasi-Hamiltonian SU(2)-space. The definition of quasi-Hamiltonian G-spaces was recently introduced by Alekseev, Malkin and Meinrenken.

Stokes' formulae on classical symbol valued forms and applications

The Wodzicki residue and the cut-off integral extend to classical symbol-valued forms. We show that they obey a Stokes' type property and that the extended Wodzicki residue can be interpreted as a complex residue like the ordinary one. In the case of cut-off integrals, Stokes' property (i.e. vanishing on exact forms) only holds for non-integer order symbol-valued forms and leads to an integration by parts formula and translation invariance for cut-off integrals on non-integer order classical symbols. Duistermaat-Heckman distributions for group valued moment maps

We introduce equivariant Liouville forms and Duistermaat-Heckman distributions for Hamiltonian group actions with group valued moment maps. The theory is illustrated by applications to moduli spaces of flat connections on 2-manifolds.

Residue formula for regular symmetry breaking operators

We prove an explicit residue formula for a meromorphic continuation of conformally covariant integral operators between differential forms on ${\bf R}^n$ and on its hyperplane. Residue Family Operators on Spinors and Spectral Theory of Dirac operator on Poincaré-Einstein Spaces

We study conformal $Spin$-subgeometry of submanifolds in a semi-Riemannian $Spin$-manifold, focusing on conformal $Spin$-manifolds $(M,[h])$ and their Poincaré-Einstein metrics $(X,g_+)$. The logarithmic residue density of a generalised Laplacian

We show that the residue density of the logarithm of a generalised Laplacian on a closed manifold defines an invariant polynomial valued differential form. We express it in terms of a finite sum of residues of classical pseudodifferential symbols. In the case of the square of a Dirac operator, these formulae provide a pedestrian proof of the Atiyah-Singer formula for a pure Dirac operator in dimension $4$ and for a twisted Dirac operator on a flat space of any dimension. Twisted K-homology and group-valued moment maps

Let G be a compact, simply connected Lie group. We develop a `quantization functor' from pre-quantized quasi-Hamiltonian G-spaces at level k to the fusion ring (Verlinde algebra) R_k(G). The quantization Q(M) is defined as a push-forward in twisted equivariant K-homology. It may be computed by a fixed point formula, similar to the equivariant index theorem for Spin_c-Dirac operators. Using the formula, we calculate Q(M) in several examples.

Dirac geometry, quasi-Poisson actions and D/G-valued moment maps

We study Dirac structures associated with Manin pairs (\d,\g) and give a Dirac geometric approach to Hamiltonian spaces with D/G-valued moment maps, originally introduced by Alekseev and Kosmann-Schwarzbach in terms of quasi-Poisson structures. We explain how these two distinct frameworks are related to each other, proving that they lead to isomorphic categories of Hamiltonian spaces. A family of Riesz distributions for differential forms on Euclidian space

In this paper we introduce a new family of operator-valued distributions on Euclidian space acting by convolution on differential forms. It provides a natural generalization of the important Riesz distributions acting on functions, where the corresponding operators are $(-Δ)^{-α/2}$, and we develop basic analogous properties with respect to meromorphic continuation, residues, Fourier transforms, and relations to conformal geometry and representations of the conformal group.

Group-valued momentum maps for actions of automorphism groups

The space of smooth sections of a symplectic fiber bundle carries a natural symplectic structure. We provide a general framework to determine the momentum map for the action of the group of bundle automorphism on this space. Since, in general, this action does not admit a classical momentum map, we introduce the more general class of group-valued momentum maps which is inspired by the Poisson Lie setting. Lie Group Valued Moment Maps

We develop a theory of "quasi"-Hamiltonian G-spaces for which the moment map takes values in the group G itself rather than in the dual of the Lie algebra. The theory includes counterparts of Hamiltonian reductions, the Guillemin-Sternberg symplectic cross-section theorem and of convexity properties of the moment map. As an application we obtain moduli spaces of flat connections on an oriented compact 2-manifold with boundary as quasi-Hamiltonian quotients of the space G^2 x ... x G^2.
